Ada and the rest of the staff were absolutely magnificent The food was nothing short of excellent. I will be for sure visiting this local gym when I return to Chicago. This is absolutely where you want to stop if you're in the area of Chinatown this is one of the best by far that I've been since I've been in Chicago With the ambience, the staff the feeling of realness is .

A cold and rainy day called for some delicious hot pot. This was our first experience, unfortunately, the staff didn't ask us if we understood the process. The staffer sent the regular broth through so as to "get it started" before the group had a chance to agree on the order. Regardless, it was good. We ordered quite a bit of food and enjoyed the sauce bar. I think the sauce bar was an extra charge but that was not explicitly explained either. I say this because we likely would have ordered two broths for variety instead of using the sauce bar. The overall ambiance was relaxing. We were quick to receive water refills and the food we ordered through the tablet. Also, if you park across the street, you can get your ticket validated here and only pay $2! Chinatown was pretty busy but there was no wait here and the food was good quality. I would definitely recommend this business to others.

This is definitely a hot pot place that should be one of the top search results!!! My sister found this place and initially just wanted to go there for the beautiful decor, but wow were we so impressed!!! We expect not so friendly but fast service in Chinatown, so when Ada was sweet and accommodating we were shocked! I couldn't get over their service! It's byob so we had a brought our own drinks, she immediately asked us if we wanted ice. The options here I thought were way better for the meats and veggies, they had konyaku knots and greens that we haven't seen in other places. Their chicken gizzards were delicious! Their broth, I personally can't do the spicy ones anymore but I always go with tomato and their tomato broth was the best one!! It's really flavorful and thick so when they add broth it didn't seem watered down. I've never had a server come and help us, Ada did the shrimp paste for us, was quick to remove empty plates and filling my water glass because I'm always guzzling water lol

I'll start by saying this was my FIRST hot pot experience. When you enter, you use an itablet to check in/join the waitlist. When you're table is near ready, you're provided with an portable tablet that is assigned to your table. You use it to order and for any wait service needs. As newcomers, we didn't think to ask for assistance but presumed, it'd be like Korean bbq or fondue. It is similar but the broth you select is what you'll use to cook your selected items (seafood, veggies, meat, etc). You're able to select up to three, which are also great tasting broths to consume with some of your cooked items. Before you get started, there's a table with condiments, including sauces and a few other food items (seaweed, spicy pig feet). You'll want to select a few to accompany and/or season your selections. We tried the 8 second Waygu beef ($64), braised pig feet and 2 minute spicy chicken gizzards on a stick. Of the three, the 8 second beef was the winner. Worth every penny. Growing up in the south, I've eaten pig parts and gizzards but imo, these were a bit different. Not terrible, but I wouldn't order them again. On the other hand, I did enjoy the spicy pork feet. I definitely plan to return and look forward to trying the seafood. One more things. The absolutely lemon is heaven in a cup!

I just don't like how business do the suggested tip amount after tax, just simply ridiculous. We selected 20% without noticing, but only to find out when we get home. Shady business all do this over chicagoland

Definitely love hotpot during the winter, and took a trip to Chinatown to grab some. Now normally Happy Lamb is my go-to spot, however since they are always packed (1-2hr hr waits sometimes), I chose to go to Shoo Loong Kan which is near the entrance of the old chinatown area. Such a cute spot, and when I went for dinner there was no wait! Got seated immediately, and ordering was very easy since it's done via ipads at the table. Service was super friendly & fast as well. Now this isn't AYCE, however the prices were fairly reasonable considering ($100 for 2 people, i was FULL). The quality of the meats and veggies were good as well, and they have an extensive sauce bar selection too. As a bonus, they offer aprons so you don't splash hotpot broth on yourself / clothes (very appreciated!)

Had a great girls night here last night!! Such a fun group activity, place is beautiful, great service too. iPad ordering makes everything super easy and they get everything out quick. The staff mostly leaves you be (in a good way) and we didn't feel rushed and got to hang out and chat for a while after without being rushed out like so many restaurants do. The food was all great too - my favorites besides the beef were the hand pulled noodles, rice cakes and enoki mushrooms. Tomato broth was definitely the favorite!! Also love loved the sauce bar. My one critique is that it would've been great to have a little more instructions / guidance in the beginning as most of us had never done hot pot before and it can get a little overwhelming and hectic. Overall great experience and I'll definitely be coming back!!

All the dishes were very mediocre. Meat quality was pretty good but the blood was no fresh. The tomato soup was too sweet for my taste while the spicy soup didn't hit the spot quite right. My favorite shrimp paste was a bit chewy. Overall food was not the best hot pot ever but loved their desert and watermelon juice! **ps. They do not sell alcoholic beverages

4 - 4.5 stars. I loved the numbing sichuan broth and shockingly the tomato broth! The presentation of the food and the inside of the restaurant was very clean. It's pricey since this is not an ACYE hot pot but it's definitely a huge upgrade with their quality and service. I would go back if I had a special occasion!

Amazing environment, very detailed interior design! Food was amazing I loved the spicy broth and had a lot of ingredients, something for everyone! You can make your own dipping sauce and there are fruits available! Highly recommend' staff are so welcoming and friendly!

The fatty beef was way too fatty and when you dip it in the broth for like 30 seconds it turns into grease :0

I was way too excited to come back to this hotpot!! The first bite was oily but delicious but when our proteins(fatty beef and lamb) came out of the pot it pretty much turned solid after about a minute ( I'm not joking!) I am extrêmely concerned about the freshness of the meat and also the spicy broth( we ordered the Mercedes pot which has three different broth) ... usually when the other 2 sections are boiling, the spicy section would boil too, but for some reason it was only bubbling. Me and my friend unfortunately had to stack up piles of fat and fatty oil( which I usually just eat and the plate is left quite empty) ... and running to the bathroom god knows how many times after the evening! The potato were easy to cook but looks like it's been sitting in a tub of water for maybe a day? The service was warm which is why I am giving it 2 stars. Coming in On a Tuesday evening you can walk right in without reservations and the place seemed less than half full. I am also disappointed in the free snacks and apps this time.( the fruit bowls were almost empty and the tripes were chewy :/ ) I wanted to love you shoo loongkan as my first experience was outstanding ( good price. Quality , service and ambiance), but i am sad to say I won't be returning to this establishment any time soon worried my next day will be ruined:(

We love to see more hot pot options open up in Chinatown and Chicago as a whole. My friend and I came here before the dinner rush around 3:30 or 4pm on a Saturday. We're happy we did because it was absolutely packed by the time we left. I love that they let you split the soup broth flavors into 3 for the same price. The meats and sides we ordered were all delicious and for around $100 not including tip, it kept us really full! I absolutely LOVE that they offer aprons here for guests dining in because I am literally the messiest eater ever and I tent to wear a lot of lighter tone color clothes (cause fashion - duh). I didn't have to cringe with every noodle pull in between bites thinking that at any moment a little oily drip was gonna fly towards my clothes! All in all - Great service, great food, and watch out for the spicy levels of the actual spicy broth. We both loved the tomato broth though!

Solid hot pot spot in Chinatown. They don't serve alcohol so BYOB! The spicy broth wasn't super flavorful (we got medium spicy) but everyone enjoyed the tomato broth! Also shout out to the free coconut milk with sago by the sauce bar, perfect dessert.

I was pretty skeptical since I'm more of an AYCE hotpot person; however, I learned that HaiDilao offers a late night deal of $24.99 for sirloin, lamb, pork belly, and chicken. This deal seems pretty worth it since it's like you're paying less than half the price of the original costs. One of the main star dishes we get is the lobster fish balls, and they're a must try! Something about them being filled with lobster and roe makes it so tasty and umami. There's a sauce bar with some goodies and snacks as well. I don't like how you have to pay for the sauce bar, but it makes up for it with the amount of items you get there. Additionally, you have to be aware that the soup base is priced based on how many you get as well. The service was just amazing the last time we went since the waiter was always smiling and always made sure he poured my water when it was empty. Additionally, we said a special phrase that complimented their soup base, and he gave us a tomato soup base packet to take home!!! The ambiance is very nice here, and you can really tell that they keep the area very clean. They have robots bringing your food as well, so that's an experience. The only concern is that there's no parking, so it's a little hard to find parking nearby.

Everybody at the table must order the same level of menu, and once you get there, you can see why. We all agreed upon the ultimate, and we're rapidly seated. The server understood instantly that we were rookies, and was helpful and pleasant for our entire adventure. He showed us how to place the orders for the broth pots that are used to cook the various items. He also showed us how to place the orders for more of the all-you-can-eat items. In addition to the meats and special items that came from ordering, there is a conveyor belt that contains more items such as pastas, vegetables, and things like tofu, fish, and other things. We each chose a different broth, and you have controls it your table that control an induction cooktop to heat it up to your preferred level. The only complaint I had about the entire visit is that the controls are hard to access. You have to bend down since they are under the edge of your table, and they are not intuitive. So you have to look at them. It is difficult. That is my only complaint. The broth I got which was mushroom based was very good. The meats were things like ribeye, New York strip, brisket, pork, shoulder, chicken, and you would toss them into the cooking broth for a number of seconds pull them out, and they would be cooked to perfection. Grabbing things off of the conveyor was extremely easy, and they managed to keep it full. Delivery of the meat items was achieved using a second train system that would stop at your table and you would unload your little items and begin using them. Very automated. You ordered off of a touchscreen, your items arrived at your table within two minutes. Again, I cannot say enough about the service. It was extremely fast! The server who personally handled our table was outstanding! The food was delicious, in the atmosphere was wild. The walls were covered with Japanese anime art, and the music was a mixture of Japanese pop and K-pop, with a little hip-hop thrown in for fun. The all you can eat model meant that our prices were still quite reasonable. Like most oriental all you can eat, they do expect you only need to grab what you will eat. They're not big on wasting food. And I don't blame them. Their prices are reasonable. Unlike conveyor belt sushi, where you pay by every plate you grabbed, here you are paying for the ultimate experience. This was an outstanding adventure. The food was great in the atmosphere was great. I just wish they had a parking lot!
