DO NOT GO TO CARMELA. SHE RUINED MY HAIR. i have very long hair down past my hips. i went in for simple layers and was given to Carmela as a client. i very thoroughly explained what i wanted and after extensive communication she ensured me she "knew what she was doing" in a very sassy and rude way. she basically just chopped my hair in half ONLY ON THE TOP and called that layers. she not only lied about "knowing what she was doing" but she also sent me out without drying or styling my hair then tried to charge me $80???? BAD SERVICE BAD QUALITY DONT GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR HAIR RUINED CARMELA HAS NO IDEA HOW TO CUT HAIR. read more

Shafer is a great salon. It is reasonably priced for the area and the customer service is excellent. Krystal put blonde and blue highlights in my daughter's hair and did a great job. For the job, the price was very low. Krystal also went above and beyond her duties when she bought a special conditioner to hold the color longer and when she checked in with us several days later to make sure we were still happy. I definitely plan on returning to get my highlights done. read more

I have been going to Tony for many years and am a little embarrassed to say that this is the first time it's occurred to me to write a review for him. Even though I moved out of the area (over five years ago), I continue to make the two hour trip to his salon. I did try to find someone closer to me but each time, after only one appointment, I went straight back to Tony. I'm never disappointed. We arrived a few minutes early, he was just finishing up another smiling customer & greeted us on time, check plus, plus. Second time at this place. I like bright color and give the hairstylist free range on the cut......yikes.....I had two different hair cuts. One side of my head had a different cut to the other......never cried over a hair cut before but this place had me in a complete panic and yes...some tears. Absolutely love this place so much! Tony always cuts my hair, the owner, and he's fantastic! Not only does he do a phenomenal job but he's an amazing human being! He also does toys for tots at Christmas time which shows his love for people and the community. When people treat you this well it earns my business! I don't go anywhere else! He is kind, warm, personable, respectful and always listens to what you actually want! I have been to so many places where you ask for them to cut a few inches only later to find they cut 5-6 inches saying they cut to where it was healthy.
