Vibe in here was family owned and friendly but the food was just ok. Limited seating but we needed a quick bite. Ordered a combo platter and while the rice was well seasoned it didn't taste very fresh and same for the chicken. The falafel actually was tasty and crunchy and was the star of the show! Toppings are up to you at the counter. Obsessed with the white sauce as usual. Overpriced for the quality and portion size in my opinion

Good food good staff Update your hours please!! I drove here late at night looking for food and had to go home hungry!

Fast and friendly place, it's inside the mall folks but the flavors are just like what I get on the streets of nyc but fresher! My chicken platter looked so good my husband was convinced to get a platter for himself. The cucumber salad with chickpeas are an amazing texture and flavor with the chicken and rice. I can't wait to have this again.

Eating here was very disappointing. Even with the added sauces, there was no flavor in the chicken or rice. Portion sizes were good for the price, and there's a small seating area, but I found the food to be bland.

This is our go-to dive at Palisades Center. We like their falafels and hummus, and have packed them home on a couple occasions. They use pre-grilled panini bread as their "pita", which is larger than the usual pita bread. We've bought just that when we happen to be in the mall, need bread but don't feel like a grocery run... My husband and I shared a falafel sandwich this afternoon when we got out of the movie theater. As usual, it was an explosion of flavors. This little spot is always clean, well-lit and cozy.

The Chicken Gyro is quite tasty @ $8.58.

If someone's looking for a quick bite at the Palisades, make this your stop. The big treat about coming here is the prices - very well reasonable. I've gotten the cheeseburger (3.99) and another time a Philly Cheesesteak (5.99) along with fries. Both of them were very good, especially the fries. I'm still waiting on trying the plater and gyro on my next visit. The platers are premade and ready to go choosing any toppings while the other dishes will take 5 - 7 minutes. The inside is small with tables in the center along with a higher table looking toward the hallway. The atmosphere is quiet which makes the experience very enjoyable with delicious food and great service.

If u want some fast food that's Greek, the food here is decent. We ordered a combo gyro- lamb/chicken with the works- onions, peppers, beans, chummus, tahini and the other order was a salad with chicken. Both were delicious and reasonably priced. I was able to take it out to a table so I could sit with my family and eat what I wanted while my son ordered from another vendor near by. They also have felafel which I love but I didn't have any! I asked for a cup to fill up with water so that was easy!

So I found out about Charles from the Norwalk location however I currently live in the Bronx so I was looking for somewhere that was closer I found out that they had a location in the Palisades Mall so I decided to go and visit. Let me start out by saying just like most small food locations very clean on the inside very well lit all the food was laid out everything looked and tasted fresh my favorite dish of course is the chicken over rice with all the veggies minus the hot sauce because the sodium content is ridiculous. If you're sensitive to sodium I would definitely advise you to avoid the wings the chicken sandwich the fries the falafel the hot sauce and the pita they have a really high sodium content and if your sodium is sensitive out avoid those what's really great is that you can actually have the chicken over rice and it's very flavorful and delicious as is the actual lamb is all so flavorful and delicious as well. I would definitely give Charles five stars and I would definitely recommend that anyone give it a try if you really enjoy New York style halal over rice dishes.

    White sauce is amazing.

Amazing service. Worker was very friendly and fast. The flavors of the food was just extraordinary, and good portions 10/10 would recommend.

The food and service was exceptional. The workers were so nice and fast and dont even get me started on the fantastic portions. 100/10 I literally drove 35 minutes to get here and i would do it again. The food was so delicious that it reminded me of home. I loved it so much that I went back to get more.

Love this little joint in the palisades mall. No eat in due to covid 19 restrictions. All pita sandwiches are $6.99 and rice platters are $7.99. They also serve other hot sandwiches such as Philly cheesesteaks. I had the combo pita sandwich. This had very well seasoned chicken and lamb, lettuce, cucumber, onions, chickpeas with white and green sauce. This sandwich was really satisfying. I had to split it for two servings. Overall, it was clean and for tasted good.

Scott & Joe is coined "the gayest cheese shop in America" & while I haven't surveyed all of the other cheese shops in America, I agree. It's a quaint little shop tucked amongst other small shops on Broadway. Scott is behind the fully stocked cheese case serving & SERVING with a smile. He was patient while we perused the case & asked questions. We sampled some cheeses to figure out what we like & what we didn't & ended up leaving with some yummy treats. Scott & Joe also have a little bit of a marketplace with delicious options of cured meats, crackers, jams, jellies, mustards & the like: perfect for any dinner party or snack plate. In my opinion, the best part is a not so secret little bistro section in the back where you can have a seat & be served some of the most delicious sandwiches, salads, & cheeseboards in the Hudson Valley. I got the Ciao Bella this time around, but it was hard to choose because I wanted them all! Everything was so fresh & delicious - I can't wait to return! Scott & Joe also hold various events regularly, so I recommend following them on Instagram to stay in the loop.

No frills, no flashy atmosphere -- just comida auténtica and seriously satisfying flavors. I ordered the carne asada nachos and an order of tacos al pastor, and both hit the spot perfectly. Fresh ingredients, bold flavor, and that classic street-style taco taste that instantly lifts your ánimo on a gloomy day. The nachos were loaded, cheesy, and packed with flavor, while the al pastor tacos were simple, fresh, and delicioso. And yes... we washed it all down with a Coke Zero in a glass bottle because somehow it siempre tastes better that way. Now, if you're looking for upbeat energy and polished service, este lugar probably isn't it. The staff seemed a bit inexperienced and lacked motivation. But where the service fell short, the kitchen absolutely delivered with authentic flavors and generous portions. Sometimes the best spots are the quiet little hole-in-the-wall places that let the food do all the talking.

I'm a sucker for a good bread pudding but i should have reconsidered since that was the thing they seemed to have plenty of. They didn't heat that or the pear Tartlett up; eating them both cold was unsatisfactory (I know we should have said something but then a line was forming) and I felt sick after eating the bread pudding (perhaps too rich and just too cold and sad). I didn't feel very comfortable in the space, as I was expecting something more quaint and charming vs. old and in need of a makeover and cleaning.
