So we were really happy to find this one along 121. We are a fam of 4 so we had kind of a big order and they had us pull up to the front and brought it out to our car! Thanks! Some of us couldn't wait until the drive home to give it a taste. MAN the kalua pork has mad flavor and was tender. One kid ordered the short ribs, the other chicken. Whatever that marinade is on the chicken, it's the bomb. The kids really loved the macaroni salad. If you want a little healthier option, do think about getting the Aloha meal. Drive thru is open!!! Came across this delish find that comes with decent quality and amazing deals. I got the chicken combo for less than 10$ and shared it between my sister and I! Came with chicken katsu and Hawaiian bbq chicken on some steamed cabbage with a side of rice and mac salad. Breeding on the katsu was a little thicker but the chicken was still moist (yes moist) and the flavors were there! Rice was well cooked and mac salad was a plus too. Their service was nice and speedy. Their storefront is just around the corner of the shopping area and the drive thru is around the back so just a heads up on that. Everyone is so welcoming and ready to explain anything on the menu and offer suggestions if you haven't tried island food before, I recommend the Aloha plate or the kahlua pork, oh and the fire chicken is good too! My husband and I both got aloha plates with Kalua pork, I got the additional chicken katsu and he got the bbq beef. All three were DELICIOUS, my god, seriously. Shout out to folks who really know how to cook pork and cook it well. So savory and so melt in your mouth. Generous with their portions too. You should try the Hawaiian sun drinks too. Food was amazing and yes, I was extra hungry at the time of entry. I ordered the BBQ chicken, beef and had chatsu too, and got a side of shrimp. I tried both the teriyaki and katsu sauce, which was a great combo on my food. Everything was tender and cooked and seasoned perfectly. The only thing I'd request next time is that my cabbage is cooked a little more and I wouldn't get the chatsu again (the breaded chicken is not as seasoned as the other meats). Went back for the white fish lunch platter. It's 4 pieces of white fish fried to Perfection. The fish is so fresh and flaky. Again it comes with 2 scoops of white rice, macaroni salad and a bed of cabbage . The gave me some tartar sauce for the fish but I much preferred dipping it into the Katsu sauce. Great friendly cashier who helped us order here for the first time. Pork was very tender. Fried chicken was good. Katsu sauce and teriyaki sauce is available too. My partner didn't care for the steamed cabbage and thought it was bland but I liked it. The macaroni salad was a nice change. A pineapple dessert might be a nice add on. Clean bathrooms! I just got back from Oahu and have been on an Hawaiian food tour in the DFW area. I read the reviews about this place on Yelp and had to give it a try. It's a 35 minute drive from my house and cost me about $6 in toll, but it was well worth it. The staff here were very welcoming, efficient, and took good care of us. The restaurant itself is super clean and inviting. It's an order at the counter & seat yourself type of establishment, which I love. The wife and I got an order of the grilled spam musubi (1 order comes with 2) for $4.29 and the BBQ & Katsu Mix special for $9.59. The mix comes with rice, macaroni salad, BBQ chicken, BBQ Beef, and Chicken Katsu. For $9.59, that is a damn steal. The portions are huge and can easily be shared by two people. The flavors for the bbq meats were on point. It had the perfect grilled taste with a hint of that sweet marinade. The grilled meat and chicken were cooked perfectly. Very tender and full of flavor. The chicken katsu was super crispy and juicy. I dunked each and every bite in the katsu sauce and was in heaven. The musubis were solid, but could use more soy sauce, that's just my opinion. If this place wasn't so far from my house, we'd might have a problem. I'd probably be here once a week. This place is off of SH 121 in a strip mall corner next to Creamistry. It looks like they have a drive thru but they don't use it. The place is always clean and the cashier is always sweet and ready to take your order. Musubi - delicious especially dipped in their teriyaki sauce (i like to add siracha in the sauce and mix.) They don't skimp on the nori like other places do. Chicken katsu - similar to L&Ls Hawaiian BBQ, crispy breaded but still good Hawaiian BBQ chicken - was surprisingly good, I always worry when they say Hawaiian in the dish but my kids liked it. It has a peppery flavor to it also. Kalua Pork - BF enjoyed it, he said taste like L&Ls Mac salad - actually good and Hawaiian style so yes! I do like the cabbage under the meat which i just add teriyaki sauce and siracha to it and its great for keto peeps. Clean restroom too. Great alternative for Hawaiian Food here in North Texas. The Hawaiian BBQ comes with 3 meats (short ribs, chicken, and beef), but I'd recommend the ribs and beef over the chicken. To me, those were just more unique and tasty. The fried white fish was the one thing I was most hesitant about but I think that might be my favorite one out of all the meats. The bbq chicken was flavorful and not too salty. Customer service was great, drive thru had a steady flow, limited seating inside( we ate inside) clean, sanitizer available in multiple areas, made fresh to order so expect to wait a few extra minutes.
