Honestly giving it 4 stars cause while the food was good, the consistency of the food wasn't the best. My boyfriend and I both order one burger/chicken sandwich and fries to start with and that was good. Took awhile--I'm pretty sure it was cause of the burger because after that we ordered more chicken sandwiches, but however the second time it had items on it that I didn't ask for and aren't listed on the menu that it comes with it so I had to pick those off whatever. Was disappointed they didn't have any nuggets cause those looked bomb af, was told by an employee that google legit ordered a shit ton of food and completely wiped their nuggets which was upsetting but it's life and they'll have them again soon lol. The buzzer system is very nice I like that! Shakes were small, but very tasty :) might come back, might not. The sandwich/burger is definitely like 75% bun so watch out :) read more

I visited the AA location today and loved the modern look and appeal. I've visited a few other Shake Shack locations (even Dubai) and can say that AA is consistent with service and quality of food as the others I've visited. However, I am not fond of the location. Washtenaw is crazy busy and the parking at Arbor Hills is limited and tight. Even with that in mind, I definitely see myself stopping by and bringing/meeting friends here for a good time...will just put more effort in my timing (less crowded times). read more

Finally a Shake Shack in Ann Arbor. I expected that with the massive crowds on the opening days and invariable teething issues with a new location, things might not be perfect, but oh how glad I was to be so wrong! There were millions of gen-Z'ers and the lines were interminable, but that only served to whet the appetite further. And the food was served hot, the burger was yummy, the order served faster than 'new' McDonald's, the cheesy fries started warm and tasty after the first five mins. In short, a pleasant and satisfying experience. I feel a bit gaga about it, but it really did exceed expectations. It tasted better than my first Shake Shack experience in Vegas. And the manager came around asking if all was well and ther food tested good. In short, yes I'd go right back and make it my haunt! read more

I'm a big fan of the one in Chicago. This one sucked so bad it made me cry. It was supposed to be my first big meal in public since covid and I could've been happier eating at a McD. The Korean chicken burger is a fucking joke. I don't know if the guy who made the recipe even knows what kimchi is. The chicken patty was soggy, unseasoned and thick cut. It was as thick as a chicken breast. You can't throw gochujung on something and call it Korean. We got 2 chicken burgers, a milkshake and a root beer. Worst 30$ I spent. First off---good luck finding parking! There is none! After our 3rd & final lap, we got lucky but if not-we would have left just due to that. Our food was fine but holy cow---very overpriced for such small portions! At almost $30 for two people, I'd expect bigger portions. The burgers were fine-but again, on the small size for almost $9. The shake was runny & again, at almost $6-that didn't come with whipped cream. The soft drinks are also pricey--a small is almost $3. If you eat in, at least you can get refills. The fries were good but again, a small portion for the size. You get the hype of this chain restaurant. But be prepared to fight for your parking spot & to empty your wallet for overpriced/small portioned food. read more

Gross and full of grease. It seemed like the bun was soaked in a bath of grease before it was put on the burger. The milkshake was completely melted. I was waiting at the door right on time and the worker helped the people who came up after me before helping me. We ordered our food per delivery at 7:40pm last night. It arrived at 10pm!!! We ended up eating something else for dinner. Grubhub handled the delivery. No apologies from them for the ridiculous delivery time. Interesting that there is no phone number listed anywhere for Shake Shack to check on your order. The staff is exceptionally friendly. The burgers are delicious and loved the strawberry shake over the chocolate shake. Fries are ok and I would never order the chicken nuggets (not the correct name, but u get my point). They were very bland. VERY PRICEY. The shakes are pretty small and it's an extra .50 for whipped cream, which I wasn't told about. In short...if you wanna spend $20 on fast food and get a great burger, not so good fries, and a great tasty strawberry, albeit small, shake, then this is the place! read more

Unfortunately my experience at this location left much to be desired. The staff seemed unhappy and disengaged which is never fun to see. The store was packed, the wait for food was long and the prices were surprisingly high for an unfriendly fast food joint. Despite the woman who took my order repeating it back to me, seeming correctly, - my order was packed completely incorrectly and I only wish I had noticed before I left with it. This was my first time ever going to Shake Shack and I was impressed. I had a hot dog and the fries. The hot dogs were made out of quality meat had that baseball hot dog taste. The best fries I have ever had. Shake Shack was also get for allergies especially nuts. Overall, great tasting food and would go back. read more

Way over priced!!! Burgers are small, flavor is slinky, bun is like eating dough, lettuce has no crunch, fry's are the same as frozen fry's at the grocery store. Not sure how these over priced burger joints became so popular. I think people imagine they are great because they are so expensive. The mushroom burger was fabulous! It was full of gooey Munster cheese and super crispy. The custard was delicious but the portion size was very small. The chicken nuggets were not great, two of the nuggets had veins running through them which was off putting to say the least. The fries were good but nothing special. The food is quite costly, my order ended up being almost 60 dollars for my family of three. I will go back again despite the price being high because the mushroom burger was so great but I will definitely skip the chicken nuggets and fries. read more

Earlier today I ate at shake shack Ann Arbor. I wrote a review on google review as soon as I saw this unfold. I have complained to corporate. I told the management as it happened. I am disgusted by the lack of understanding that basic healthy precautions must be taken when you are serving FOOD. The table next to me was mistakenly given the wrong burger, and she checked like took the toppings OUT to make sure it wasn't hers. They took the burger back from her which she had placed the toppings back into, and placed it ON ANOTHER TRAY TO GIVE TO A CUSTOMER. as a food industry worker this was APPALLING. MAKE. A. NEW. ONE. so I didn't hold my tongue. I told the worker, who was in a collared shirt who I assumed was management, before it was placed on the tray, he said "oh." Took it off, handed it to a line cook, who then placed it on another tray. It was then served to another customer. I couldn't even finish my own meal. Disgusting. read more

I respect the atmosphere that shake shack creates and I would definitely recommend visiting it at least once but today I dinned there and can safely say that their burgers and shakes are definitely inferior to other places in Ann arbor such as five guys and Culver's considering that I barfed both of my burger and my shake out just 20 minutes afterwards. For a six dollar burger, the Patty's are too thin and the steak sauce was an unpleasant surprise ( I swear I've never been to a place that put a1 on their burgers) it's also worth mentioning that the bun was slippery and bland and didn't complement the burger at all. The shake on the other hand was way too rich for my likes and it more so tasted like pure melted iced chocolate with no ice cream. I'm sure if I went to shake shack again and decided to be more selective with my order then I would be more pleased with the food but I still believe that while shake shack is very attractive and innovative on the outside, it fails to reach the greatness of simplicity and depth that lies within the food of places like five guys; appealing to a larger audience of Americans who prefer burgers without steak sauce read more
