I have only been to a shake shack once and it was so long ago I can't remember anything. This was delicious and fresh! I loved my burger, however one patty was quite small (like kids meal small). My daughter's grilled cheese was completely eaten and our peppermint bark shake was delicious. The group of us enjoyed our visit! The other customers inside were new was well, so I just read the big menu on the wall. Wow are there some wonderful choices. I want to try all of the burgers at some point. With so many choices I ended up asking an employee for his recommendation & he suggested the avocado bacon burger with fries. I was happy with the choice. Curious about the hotdog, which I have had before but online it said there as wheat, is that the meat or bun? Kiosk is nice but no options to print your receipt. You grab a number on the kiosk table, no one tells you, you gotta search. Would be nice if a staff would keep an eye on new comers like us, had lots of questions, like how to get water? This was my first time dining inside of the restaurant at this location. The dining room was very neat and clean, and the customer service was great. My issue was with the food. I ordered chicken bites, fries, and a Coke which totaled over $18. Yikes!Although freshly cooked, the chicken bites were extremely oily. I even put a napkin in the bottom of the box to soak up some of the oil before eating them. The taste was decent, but I could not enjoy my meal thinking about the amount of oil being consumed. It's located on the corner of Broadway and Breckenridge, so it's near the park, various museums and the zoo. The kids were excited. They ordered a plain cheeseburger and bacon cheese fries. I ordered the Shackburger which was a double cheeseburger with lettuce, tomatoes. it's a really good burger. It's filling. I also tried their strawberry lemonade, which I think is overly sweet, but it's not bad. I think I would have been fine with their sweet tea - which surprisingly was less sweet than the lemonade... surprise, right? The kids were excited about the location, because, on top of great burgers, they have a ping pong table and corn hole on the patio - it was just too hot, to sit outside during the day. That said the indoor after lunch crowd wasn't too bad. The indoor dining area was well maintained, clean, and served at your table. It's a nice place to come eat after hanging out at the park all day. The place was very clean and people we talked to were nice. It was pretty crowded when we came, but the line and food order came out faster than expected. Also, the crowd disappeared pretty quick too so I was able to find a table easy. The food itself was good. I had an avocado and bacon burger, which was cook perfect to me. My nephew had the chicken nuggets, which he loved. We also got a milkshake that was good too, but melted fast. Also had sprinkles on mine (for 50 cents), which could do without but pretty. For a fast food place its pretty good. They are clearly trying provide quality product at a reasonable price with a fast bring-it-to-your-table experience. A well designed place with a modern hip vibe with lots of wood no plastic in sight (but a realllly tiny parking lot! - I had to park a block away). They have a broad menu including burgers, veggie burgers, BBQ, a few fries options, other sides, a little local beer, and of course the spectrum of creative shakes. They claim 100%Angus beef and zero antibiotics. But... fried fast food just isn't my thing. They use soy oil, which i don't do well with, and I made the mistake of ordering the "Shroom" burger thinking I was getting a big mushroom on my burger. But no Angus burger, only the portobello. Not their fault - I didn't read the details. And I used to cook portobellos as burgers myself so that was OK. But: its a breaded and FRIED portobello - presumably in that same soy oil. Oh well. I've visited this location many times and it never disappoints. I ordered ahead on the app to take advantage of deals they offer. When I arrived, my order was ready to go. I did end up eating at the restaurant which has plenty of seating but minimal parking so beware. I ordered my burgers well done since they typically come medium well and I'm not a fan so make sure you let them know if you don't like it as is. I also add pickles and onions at no extra cost since it doesn't come on it without asking. They had staff constantly making sure orders were correct and customers were satisfied which is great. I've been numerous of times, I love the chicken sandwiches and the burgers, high quality chicken and beef, veggies super fresh and crisp and the fries are golden brown. The only thing I would say needs improvement is the cleanliness of the tables inside and out. Every time i come, the tables seem like they don't get wiped down and maintained. Who said fast food could not be good? This place makes everything fresh never frozen. There was a line out the door into 100 degree weather and the line just kept growing. If that doesn't tell you how good it is nothing I say will change your mind. Just add to it. The chicken Parm was just like an awakening. Putting all other chicken sandwiches on notice that the King is now here. The chicken alone is fresh tender and crunchy. Add in the sauce the fresh basil and the ball of fresh mozzarella you have achieved food gasm. Cheese fries in the krinkle cut were the bomb. Trinity Students get a free fry with every order. I have always been a fan of Shake shack. Very solid burger. The people working here are very friendly and quick about getting your order out. I got the double bacon cheeseburger with cheese fries it was absolutely tasty and full of flavor. The soda machine works flawlessly. The soda come out of this machine is very good. That is my biggest pet peeve is when a restaurant charge you three dollars for a soda and it taste like crap. Well you will not have that problem here because Shake shack does a good job about servicing their soda machines there for the Soda was absolutely amazing. The lobby was clean and everything was in order. I noticed they were quite slow for a Monday. One thing that I like is Shake shack is very consistent. All of the burgers taste the same and all of their locations. All in with double bacon cheeseburger and cheese fries and a soda they'll run about $15. Well, I'll start off by saying that I enjoyed my burger. The husband was underwhelmed with his. So damn picky he is. Pricey? Yes, they are. Our bill was just over $28 for a single party Smoke Shack and his double-patty Shack Burger, one order of fries, one tea and one milkshake. More about the shake (not) in a bit. The Smoke Shack was delicious. The cherry peppers and bacon really enhance the flavor. The burger is a bit small, however. I'd say no more than 4-5 inches in diameter. More towards 4 inches. My husband had no comment about his burger other than it was OK, but he still prefers others. The milkshake - I opted for the salted caramel. I needed to go get a spoon. Could slurp nothing up the straw. It was like eating a pint of ice cream. The spoon stood up in the shake. Check out the pic I posted. Indeed, I took most of it home so it could melt some to a milkshake consistency. And come on, $0.50 extra for whipped cream? I am still waiting for it to melt as I sit here. This location is perfect for anyone visiting the DoSeum, Witte Museum, Kiddie Park or Brackenridge park. They have a lot of open seating indoors and also a huge outdoor seating area. Why do I love Shake Shack so much? 1- All of their ingredients are fresh. 2- The beef they use in their burgers is HIGH quality. The burgers remind me of In-N-Out Burger--a thin patty, juicy center, browned and crisp outside--but Shake Shack offers many more options for customization. The fries are crinkle cut, hot and crisp. Our kids had a lot of anticipation for the "concrete" because of the mixed-in ingredients. A classic s'mores flavored concrete was a hit. We also enjoyed a chocolate milkshake, reminiscent of a Wendy's Frosty, but more intensely chocolatey. The strawberry lemonade was refreshing and distinctly minty. The restaurant is oriented towards the street corner and the nearby parks (Brackenridge Park, Lion's Field) in a way that welcomes pedestrians and makes the world of Broadway zipping by part of the entertainment for Shake Shack diners. The patios have lots of seating and even a ping pong table. The restaurant feels like it could be part of the Pearl, but it's actually further north, part of the Museum Reach.
