Came in on a Monday around 12 and there was a line ahead of us, but they had kiosks for ordering. I feel like our order came out at a timely manner. Overall good food! Enjoyed the Dubai Chocolate shake! Good for sharing!

This is definitely our favorite spot here in SATX - the service has been excellent, though parking can be a bit tricky; still, we make it work. The burgers are fantastic, and their crinkle-cut fries are a perfect complement! I didn't realize how limited the other locations are, though. We sat outside and enjoyed our meal on a beautiful day, with a stunning view-- VS.

Let's put it short and sweet and in this case short and juicy, this double smash cheese burger slams, yes it's Shake Shack and it is a chain however this burger is packed with flavor!!! The cheesy fries are filled with cheesy goodness layered on top of crispy crinkle cut fries and pair it with an ice cold Coca Cola and it made for a very satisfying meal! I ordered using the kiosk up front and the order came out accurately. The employees are friendly and assist you fast when requesting for a soda refill. The ambiance is modern, hip, and what to expect from the new up and coming establishments in the area, I'll be sure and return when craving a juicy smash burger!

Fun place, nice location for enjoying a great day out at the park. Beautiful surroundings, nice place to hang. If you have kids, come eat, then play outside or across the street at the playground. There's a private pickle ball , tennis court next door. Main Street is great for people and car watching Food is typical, nothing special really. Veggie burger good but not hot. Fries are crinkled and not hot, the cut is skinny and lots of hard pieces. Like the truffle dip you can order extra. They do have beer! Prices are surprisingly moderate for this area. Curious about the hotdog, which I have had before but online it said there as wheat, is that the meat or bun? Kiosk is nice but no options to print your receipt. You grab a number on the kiosk table, no one tells you, you gotta search. Would be nice if a staff would keep an eye on new comers like us, had lots of questions, like how to get water? No one was at the counter, had to hunt down someone in the kitchen. TVs are in side, lots of seating, all hard on my butt, but clean. Outside seating with umbrellas are available too. Custard was okay, chocolate was too chocolate tasting, vanilla was better. Parking is free but the private lot is small.

This was my first time dining inside of the restaurant at this location. The dining room was very neat and clean, and the customer service was great. My issue was with the food. I ordered chicken bites, fries, and a Coke which totaled over $18. Yikes!Although freshly cooked, the chicken bites were extremely oily. I even put a napkin in the bottom of the box to soak up some of the oil before eating them. The taste was decent, but I could not enjoy my meal thinking about the amount of oil being consumed. Hopefully this was simply a one off and not how the chicken bites are typically served. The crinkle-cut fries were yummy and the Coke hit the spot.

We love love love shake shack! In San Antonio this is the best location. Service is always great and food is always fresh!! You can never go wrong with a smoke shack. Definitely highly recommend here.

Shake shack has great burgers. Today I got the SmokeShack burger and the black truffle fries. The burger was delicious, I really enjoyed the chopped cherry peppers that were on it. The black truffle fries were underwhelming for the price paid. I get that truffle is expensive but I'll opt for regular fries next time.

$10 burger feeling totally scammed right now. It was about 3 bites. Go down to five guys.

A goody in Maryland, a goody in Texas too. The kids were in the mood for burgers and this location is in a good location for post burger activities. It's located on the corner of Broadway and Breckenridge, so it's near the park, various museums and the zoo. The kids were excited. They ordered a plain cheeseburger and bacon cheese fries. I ordered the Shackburger which was a double cheeseburger with lettuce, tomatoes. it's a really good burger. It's filling. I also tried their strawberry lemonade, which I think is overly sweet, but it's not bad. I think I would have been fine with their sweet tea - which surprisingly was less sweet than the lemonade... surprise, right? The kids were excited about the location, because, on top of great burgers, they have a ping pong table and corn hole on the patio - it was just too hot, to sit outside during the day. That said the indoor after lunch crowd wasn't too bad. The indoor dining area was well maintained, clean, and served at your table. This location has a small parking lot, but if it gets full, additional parking can be found on Ave B. We've been back several times and would return.

It's a nice place to come eat after hanging out at the park all day. The place was very clean and people we talked to were nice. It was pretty crowded when we came, but the line and food order came out faster than expected. Also, the crowd disappeared pretty quick too so I was able to find a table easy. The food itself was good. I had an avocado and bacon burger, which was cook perfect to me. My nephew had the chicken nuggets, which he loved. We also got a milkshake that was good too, but melted fast. Also had sprinkles on mine (for 50 cents), which could do without but pretty. The fries were decent as well seem like the kind you can actually re-heat if you had to. I also did like how they have a spot you can grab a cup of water, too. The experience for me was good and would consider coming back in the future.

First time here and it was delicious. You can order at the counter or at a kiosk and it's very user friendly. The food came out within maybe 10 minutes, super quick. I had the shroom burger and was very surprised when cheese was filled inside the portobello and fried-it was fantastic. All of the vegetables were super crispy and fresh on both burgers too. The seasoning and Shake bbq sauce made the bbq fries top notch too. We will definitely be back.

The shake shack is a very friendly, casual place. I've been numerous of times, I love the chicken sandwiches and the burgers, high quality chicken and beef, veggies super fresh and crisp and the fries are golden brown. The only thing I would say needs improvement is the cleanliness of the tables inside and out. Every time i come, the tables seem like they don't get wiped down and maintained. But every way, I still love shake shack yall! Give it a whirl when passing on by! :)

FIRST TIME VISIT!…read more Woohoo! Been looking for chili cheese fries and happened upon a review for this place boasting fries with a homemade chili so we HAD TO stop in tonight. THE LOCATION: on the very end of a string of businesses in a strip mall that I've never been in before, so that was cool. Lots of parking, that'll never be an issue. And right off the 410. THE MENU: Burgers, dogs, Mexi-style munchies and a variety of frozen dessert-type items like shakes, frozen fruit concoctions and Italian ice. THE STAFF: I wasn't overwhelmed with a warm welcome and smiles, at least from the guys. Lol! They should really work on that. There was a sweet gal who ran out our food orders and she was great. THE FOOD: I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich deluxe with tots and a sweet tea. The grilled chicken was juicy and cooked well and the bun was lovely, slightly sweet and toasted. Overall, the sandwich could've used more flavor, like a creamy bbq spread and cheddar instead of the "Swiss" cheese that tasted more like American cheese. But overall, 7/10. The tots were extra crispy and the guy who took my order didn't take heed to my request for ranch. I was too lazy to get up again so I settled for ketchup. The sweet tea was nicely sweet and fresh, I'll be sipping this in my dreams. The hubby ordered the bacon cheeseburger with chili cheese fries and an Oreo cookie shake. The burger looked good and he ate it quick, so there's that. This guy can EAT so it surprised us both when he slowed down fast after eating that burger. Lol! He kept saying how filling it was, but then he also killed a large shake before the food arrived, so there's that. He ate most of his chili cheese fries, leaving me a few bites to sample. Not bad. I order a Coco Haven frozen dessert to go and omg is this thing delightful! Vanilla ice cream and coconut Italian ice (?) with a blue snow cone-like syrup drizzled throughout. I loved the texture of what I believed to be Italian ice. Smooth and flaky, a perfect icy dessert. OVERALL: decent eatery, the hubby said we can go back (LOL!) Shockerrrrr! But I recommend the staff tries harder to make customers feel welcomed and comfortable. The next visit will be telling.

Yeah, okay, it's convenient, but by the time you pay to park (minimum of four hours, which pissed me off) and then have your tiny, overpriced burger...you gonna be mad. Do yourself a favor and fight for street parking. I walked up to the outside counter Saturday night about 7:20. Never been here. The ladies behind the counter obviously could NOT have cared less. No nice welcome...no pleasantries. Nothing said. I spoke first, asking about seating availability inside (it was chilly), and they were rude - looked at me like I was from outer space and said they didn't know. They said they didn't know in that "yeah, good luck with that...it's Saturday at 7, dumbass" kinda way. How could you not know? And if you truly didn't know, which one of them should have gone to check for me. So I went and checked myself. Turns out: plenty of seating. Returned to the chilly duo and placed my order. Ordered the Wake and Bacon burger. I also ordered a Topo Chico, which was also met with a blank "are you from this planet?" stare. How do you not have Topo Chico or something similar !? The burger was just okay. Tiny, but tasty. Fries were so salty and over-seasoned as to be almost inedible. No one checked on me after bringing me my burger. Not one time. The only reason I gave the third star: neat, dog friendly outside area which would be cool for a group outing. Probably not going back.

Drinks were AMAZING! Bartender Rob made the best Negroni I've ever had. I asked him to use whatever gin he thought best--result was an artistic smooooooth full-bodied drink. Told him when I was done I'd lick the glass if it wasn't considered so uncouth for a 'mature' lady like myself to do so Hubby's Buffalo Trace bourbon old fashioned was also outstanding. Rob was the bartender last night who did such a great job, and his work was even better tonight. We highly recommend The EsquireTavern for excellent cocktails. We love the long wood bar and high copper ceiling upstairs, but love the intimate speakeasy atmosphere downstairs even more. We'll definitely be back every time we're in San Antonio! First review, Friday night: Drinks were great (Manhattan and Bourbon Old Fashioned). REAL drinks, no complaints at all about those. And the bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Those aspects of the Esquire get 5+ stars from us. But the appetizers were not good, close to inedible. It was about 8:30pm or so, so maybe they were getting ready to close out the kitchen but the chalupitas with chicken tasted like rubber, and no flavor at all. The seafood platter had something in it that was breading with shell inside, but no meat of any kind. We couldn't figure out what it was supposed to be. The shrimp was good and the fish was good but those other things... We'll always love the drinks, the long wooden bar, and the ambiance at the Esquire Tavern, but we'll eat somewhere else and come here for before or after dinner drinks. (See update above to this review for when we returned the next night for after dinner drinks.)

My partner and I went on a Sunday morning just after 11am and there were already people coming in to eat. It's popular for a reason! I've eaten here a few times and had a very consistently good time, but this review will be about my most recent visit. We visited on a rainy day, but luckily we were able to snag one of the inside tables, we ordered at the counter and our orders arrived very quickly. I got the Ratchet dog which is a beef dog with queso, hot Cheetos and fried jalapeños. Dogfather uses quality dogs and buns for all of their gourmet dogs. I found the Ratchet to be meaty, salty with just right amount of spice from the jalapeños. My partner got the Pop it like it's hot, but removed the jalapeños. This was good but lacking a bit of flavor, however she and I both agreed that was on her for taking the jalapeños off the dog. Both dogs were extremely tasty, and we devoured both. I also got an order of curly fries loaded with their chili and cheese. For me, these did not have to go as HARD as they did. The chili they are using at Dogfather is seriously good, with a slight tang and a good amount of spice. It thrills but does not take away from your meal with too much heat. Very tasty. My only feedback is that Dogfather needs a larger space! There's a good size outside seating area, but for times like today when it's raining people need some coverage. They're doing it right and the crowds want to come! As I have stated this is a local favorite. If you live nearby, make it a regular spot. If you live in San Antonio, do yourself a favor and make a trip over at least sometimes. If you like hot dogs you won't go wrong.
