I had never tried shake shack before and I'm so glad I did but so sad I'm so late to the party! I also want to thank the very sweet employee who helped me when he saw I had my hands full with my baby, stroller and bag. It seems like a lot of people tend to just watch you struggle instead of help, but this employee came rushing over and took everything from me and helped us to our table. It was fine -- burger is on the smaller side but it's not actually unreasonably priced. It was a decent burger, obviously way better than a fast food one, but not exceptional. It's a pretty mellow burger. Potato bun has a hard time holding up to the burger. I think I'd still much prefer going to a place like Park Burger (so good!). Fries are OK. The real expense comes from how much they charge for a soda or fries. Once that all gets totaled up it begins to feel pretty expensive for the experience, but staff were nice and competent. It's probably not my cup of tea, so I don't think we'll be regulars. read more

I had the burger with spicy peppers and it was delicious. I also snagged some of my daughter's fries and were happy with those. The have beer and wine, which is nice. My daughter ordered a shake and loved it. I would say to expect a wait if you go in at 6:00, we arrived just before and a line quickly grew behind us. Got there right around 5 on Saturday night. It was not busy yet. They were not organized for dine in orders. They had 4 people up front but no one had a drawer yet. We finally ordered & we are pretty sure our order went out as a curbside because my husband overheard some talk about it. About 15 minutes later we got our order. I had the chicken sandwich. It was a piece of fried chicken breast meat (not a patty) on a bun with herbed mayo & pickles. It was delicious. My husband had the smoke stack Hamburger. It was also tasty but had an over abundance of chopped peppers which surprised him. The fries were crispy and delicious. I have to say the chocolate shake & chocolate malt were just average. Usually a fan of shake shacks, not this one. Went in at 9 (An hour before close) to get shakes. The outcome was highly disappointing. The 3 different flavors were so watery that you could barely taste anything. This could be because they didn't have the vanilla base but if you cannot make the shakes decent simply say no so we can go somewhere else. How fun that Shake Shack has come to Highlands Ranch. Great burgers. We arrived at 11:00 on a weekday just in case the place was packed. There was a manageable amount of patrons and the service was very acceptable. Friendly and accommodating. I thought the burgers were fabulous, but not a fan of those big fat crinkle cut fries. I'm not a soft drink fan, and loved that their soda dispenser had a "club soda" tab to dispense bubbly water. I love Shake Shack. It serves burgers, fries, and shakes. I love Shake Shack because their crinkle fries are really good. I also like Shake Shack because their burgers are superior. The last reason is that I heard their shakes are really good. I only heard that their shakes are good because I am allergic. When I go I get a double cheeseburger with fries. On special occasions, I get a double cheeseburger with bacon. I also love Shake Shack because it is very filling. Another reason is that Shake Shack is clean. It is clean because they clean the tables and sweep the floor. I can always find a seat there because there's a lot of tables. I love their service because they do not have any nuts. I also love their service because the food comes out in 7 minutes. Their service is really friendly. If you like burgers, fries, and shakes you should come. Honestly, I don't get it. I'm spoiled, I grew up in Wisconsin where Frozen Custard is a religion and good burgers important. I ordered a scoop of vanilla, fries, a vanilla malt and a double cheeseburger. First the good news: the fries were excellent and the vanilla malt wonderful. Now the bad: First, the vanilla custard had the proper consistency but lacked any discernible eggy flavor, one of the hallmarks of a good frozen custard. It had a vague vanilla flavor, but mostly was bland but creamy. That being said it was one of the best in Colorado but only because the competitors, local and chains, are so bad. The burger had little actual flavor and was greasy, dripping profusely. That's not always a bad thing but there was nothing that drove me to want to take more than two bites. My recommendation: come to Shake Shack for a shake or malt and their fries. Get a burger somewhere else. (The final insult: the order above totaled $25.) Tried a regular cheeseburger with fried shallots on top, wonderful! Tried the fries and some of them were not cooked and hard to chew. Tried the hot dog, just alright, gave me really bad indigestion, would not get again. Lemonade, nothing special but they don't have coke. The shining point of everything and the only reason they aren't rated three stars, is their chicken nuggets. Amazing! I like the burgers here, but they are expensive for a fast food burger. They are fairly small, my husband needs a double and then adds a hot dog to his order. I don't eat a lot of fast food and I do think it's a good choice, but for the price I'd go elsewhere if time allows. read more

It's wild to me to read all of the negative reviews of Shake Shack here. I suppose for many they don't understand that Shake Shack is not similar to In N Out, therefore they shouldn't expect dirt cheap prices. If you compare the price point to Mexican fast food, In N Out is more like Taco Bell pricing whereas Shake Shack is more similar to Chipotle. It is a fast casual dining experience, NOT fast food. Yes it's expensive because it's a la carte, but it is worth it! I've been to Shake Shacks all over the country and I'm so thrilled to have one so close to home! I came on opening day to this location and was surprised by how delicious everything tasted on the very first day. I'm a vegetarian so I always eat the shroom burger and I get cheese fries (with the cheese on the side of course!) The customer service was wonderful and when I went there was no line (around 4pm). In order to save yourself and others around you time and frustration, I would look at the menu online before arriving so you have a better idea of what you want to eat. The location is large and the outdoor space is really nice too. Everybody needs to try Shake Shack at least once - and prepare yourself for the pricing BEFORE you come, or just save yourself the trip if the price point is not something you're interested in. Delish! Came a couple days after they opened and while it was a longer line, I felt it moved quickly. My shackstack was great and I love their shacksauce; it's different than a lot of other burger places' special sauce. Really good cheese fries and my coffee shake was amazing - I can never find those. Everyone I was with liked their malts. Very good burger! I have an allergy and they served me my food safely and were so caring about avoiding my allergy! Staff is friendly and restaurant is clean! Second visit was much better than the first. I really enjoyed my Shack burger as a lettuce wrap. And oh my stars the White Mocha shake was so good. The manager stopped by to check on our visit and told us they will be bringing out a tiramisu shake next week. The fries are still pretty darn salty, too much for my liking. I just went here for the first time because I was hankering for a shake. First, I asked for a large and was told they only come in one size , which is kind of like a medium. They are ripping me off. I bought a $100 gift card with cash for my Dad on his 85th birthday. They refused to honor it, made him pay with his Master Card and now refuse to refund my money. I have sent several emails to their corporate office and they replied that their card won't work because their system is screwed up. I returned to the location and they still refused. I'm not so sure you should use any debit or credit card there when their system is a mess. read more
