I'm in Sacramento for work and we were all craving breakfast burritos. One thing we quickly learned -- apparently a lot of Mexican restaurants in Sacramento don't open until 9 or 10 AM, which was kinda weird. One of my coworkers suggested Los Arcos, a Mexican market with hot food and pastries. I ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito and an orange juice. The burrito alone was $13.99, and my total was pushing almost $20 out the door. The food came out fast, and I'll give them credit -- the burrito was absolutely massive. Unfortunately, size was about the only thing it had going for it. The beans were dry, the potatoes tasted like the little leftover ends of French fries, and overall the flavor just wasn't there. I ate maybe a quarter of it before I was done. Definitely not worth the price in my opinion. Would I return? Nope. read more

We are on a taco quest, and this was our third stop -- easily the best so far. The tacos were exceptional; we tried asada, tripa, carnitas, and al pastor, and each one was outstanding. The full salsa bar offered every topping we could want, adding to the experience. To make it even better, the location includes a Panadería with fresh, delicious options. So just got to Sacramento (Land Park) from LA and it's late at night and we're starving. Craving for some tacos was random but also justified for the long drive. My sister recommended this place for its long lines during regular business hours. It's around 9 pm and glad this place was still open. Ordered 16 street style tacos - asada, al pastor, carnitas and lengua. Grabbed some of their various kinds of salsas and took it to-go. Tacos were awesome! Salsas were wonderfully flavored and fresh. It made our tacos more satisfying. Outside and inside of this place is your typical whole in the wall, nothing fancy just plain and simple. It's a little tight. People were friendly and I could tell they enjoy what they do. Lots of baked goods, beverages and other local market products. Next time I'll try some of their baked goods and maybe grab a burrito. It's easy to make a good bacon egg and potatoes burrito and there is this delicious here but it's a lot harder to make it good with chicken and so this is my favorite bread, chicken egg, and potato breakfast burrito. Found this spot through searching "breakfast burritos" on Yelp! I have been back twice within a week. The bacon breakfast burrito is a star. It has bacon, cheese, fries, and eggs inside to make the perfect morning burrito. Pairing it with salsa verde was a game-changer. This location also has sweet bread which was affordable and tasty. The asada tacos have amazingly flavored and tender meat. They also sell plenty of groceries and snacks. Their menu is huge, so it's a great spot for groups. The parking lot is small and busy. I ended up parking down the adjacent street and walking. The staff was very helpful, kind, and quick. They have plenty of indoor and a bit of outdoor seating. I have found the replacement. it is here. 1) special breakfast burrito is filled with ham, chorizo, bacon, potatoes, cheese, 3 eggs, sour cream. it was behemoth of a burrito. And the flavors were spot on. i couldn't stop chomping on this burrito- i was half way through and just stuffed. winner winner winner 2) large grilled chicken w/rice and beans: another winner. the rice and beans were flavorful but the pieces of chicken were just a little dry and salty but some salsa added the needed moisture. Still a very good burrito 3) pork and chicken tamales: the masa had a very nice flavor and you can definitely taste if the tamale was either pork or chicken. but again, the chicken was a little too dry. I would come back for the breakfast burrito but not order any item with chicken. hence why only 4 instead of 5 stars. but still a great place. Can't wait to try items with carne asada or carnitas. Btw- it is also a bakery. will have to try their bakery items next time. The personnel there are friendly. read more

I'm not sure why I haven't came to this place if it's literally around the corner for me lol anyways I came here one night and I ordered tacos de Asada and tacos de tripa and a burrito de Asada. Once you walk in you get the fresh aroma of delicious bread. They are also a little market so if you need any necessities, they have that too. I did notice they have a lot of items that are imported from Guatemala. I went up to the counter, and I was helped by a young woman who was very friendly. I placed my order and got a concha to munch on meanwhile. The concha was pretty good. They do have a salsa bar, which is self-serve that I did like. They also have a big room where you can sit down and eat with a lot of tables. The tacos de tripa were pretty good. The tripa was nice and crispy. The asada was also really good as well. Had high expectations for their breakfast burritos after reading all the good reviews .The smell of the fresh baked items wafted throughout the small market and bakery. I was the only customer at the time. I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito and the "Los Arcos breakfast burrito," since that appeared to be their signature entree and most popular. My husband said his chorizo burrito was good. Mine on the other hand, despite all of the included ingredients (basically everything but the kitchen sink), lacked any real flavor or depth. The added salsa didn't do a thing to help it. I was disappointed that it didn't live up to the hype. Staff were polite and food came up quickly. There's a dining area in the adjacent room. While I waited for my order, I saw a young man in sitting there, and wasn't sure if he was a staff or a customer, but then he asked me for money so he could get something to eat. Thankfully found this gem on Yelp years ago and have been coming ever since. My family's go to order is the carnitas tostada (it's huge), asada tacos and the fried fish plate. Huge portions, good quality and cheap prices is the best way to describe Los Arcos. It is located in a small parking lot with parking for maybe 10 cars. I like that they accept credit card and have a good selection salsas. I was in Santa Rosa for business and wanted something for lunch. Saw this place was well reviewed so I thought I'd give it a try and I'm so glad I did. Would have thought that Santa Rosa would have one of the best burritos in Northern California. The woman who took my order I believe is one of the owners. She was extremely nice and accommodating. I ordered the carne asada burrito. She offered me a water a chips and salsa. She brought me all three types of salsas and all the delicious. When the burrito came out it was split in half, which at first thought was odd versus just leaving it whole, but I think they do it to show you how well stuffed it is as well as how well integrated the fillings are. There was a lot of care in how this burrito was constructed. The crema in this burrito was fantastic and the carne asada was fresh, well seasoned, and incredibly tender. I loved it. I was having a taco craving but was feeling adventurous to try and discover other taco places so decided to give this place a go. Pulling up I noticed that parking was very limited, walking in the to the grocery store/taqueria I looked clean. The service was really friendly the employees spoke Spanish but, that wasn't an issue for me considering I'm bilingual and speak Spanish. They had a few things on the menu to pick from, chicken molé, tamales, tortas, tacos and other things. I ordered 4 tacos, two lengua (tongue)tacos, 2 cabeza (head) tacos. I ordered them with only one single tortilla. They bring the tacos to you plain and u go to the salsa bar to add the fixings that you want. I hate to say this but these were the worst tacos i've ever had, they were dry, they were cold and they were flavorless. They sell agua fresca i ordered the pineapple and orange mix agua fresca it was really good! I asked for a little bit of ice but, half the cup was nothing but ice. Smh the service is great, the establishment is good and service was friendly, but the food was no bueno. My tacos all came from the back kitchen maybe the tacos that they sell in the front, from the taco cart is better, I don't know but i wont come back here. I ordered delivery from this place twice. Each order was a year apart approximately. The first time I ordered I got a jalapeño cheese tamale. The cheese inside was brown, hard, & chewy. Now today, having forgotten that that I ordered from here before, I again ordered a jalapeño cheese tamale. I ordered it as a super tamale, which includes cheese and cream on top. There was no cheese on top. When I cut into the tamale and found that old familiar burnt, hard, chewy brown cheese, I remembered my previous order. I also ordered a pork tamale. The amount of pork inside the tamale was laughable. I doubt it was more than 1 tablespoon of meat. These tamales were disgusting. And haven't improved since my first order. I also ordered a Pastor super burrito. It was huge, but I think it was all beans and rice because that's all I tasted or saw. I couldn't find or taste any cheese or meat.
