We tried this location again, and the ordering experience was much better minus the app malfunctioning (tried to order before i arrived) but overall, walked in & placed order on kiosk and received food cooked perfectly in less than 10 min and was out the door! It's always clean inside & was glad they removed the snow from the walkway.

I've heard so much about Shake Shack, so we had to give it a try now that it is open close to us. There were some hits and a couple of misses for me. For starters, it appears to be only kiosk ordering. Everyone was working in the kitchen, but there was nobody close to the front, so kiosk it is. Unfortunately, that seems to take so very much longer than just ordering with a person. For the people ahead of us and for us. Don't get me wrong... that is super user-friendly, but it does appear to take 2-3x as long when each person has to select "burger", then "type of burger", and then "add to cart", rather than just the person at the counter hitting a button on a register. We ordered a burger for me and a burger for hubs, a hot dog for my daughter, chicken nuggets for my son, some bacon cheese fries, some regular fries, a strawberry donut shake, and a cup with a scoop of vanilla and chocolate custard. The burgers were good, very tasty albeit greasy. Definitely grab napkins. They were about $10 each. Not cheap, definitely better quality than your standard cheeseburger at the golden arches. I was not mad for paying $10 for either burger. The hotdog was about $4.50 and was completely generic. I wish daughter had just waited for us to go to Costco for a dog that was twice the size and 1/3 the price. The chicken bites about $6, and I swear they taste exactly like the ones sold by the pound in the Publix service deli. The dominant flavor is definitely salt. They were fresher than the ones at Publix, so the breading was a little crisper so that was good. The strawberry doughnut milkshake was around seven dollars and it was amazing. The custard is delicious, we loved the strawberry and the sprinkles awesome. I have no complaints about spending seven dollars on a really good milkshake, and this was a really good milkshake. Even Vincent Vega would be fine spending $7 on this milkshake. The custard was a little less impressive in my opinion. The custard is very good, but two scoops cost around $5.50. It was good, but it tasted similar to other frozen custard we could get for half the price. It just was not nearly as good of a value as the giant milkshake. The fries were around $4.50. I was annoyed to have paid that much for that little fries. The ones with cheese and bacon were a little more expensive, but it was still a tiny portion. Another tiny little thing that annoyed me is that after placing a $54 order myself at the kiosk, the machine asks if I wanted to tip. And there were people cooking food, but generally, they get paid better than servers do. And I kind of consider the cost of my food being cooked to be included in the overall price. The only interaction I had with a human, is when they walked the tray from the kitchen 10 feet to my table. That probably makes me sound cheap, but not really keen on paying somebody else for an order that I took. Overall, bits of the meal were excellent and were worth it, but for the exact same price, we could have gone to red Robin all taken care of. And That would have come with bottomless fries. I might stop in again if I only wanted a cheeseburger and an amazing milkshake, but there wasn't really anything that would draw me back a second time, when I could get pretty much the same thing at red Robin.

Plenty of parking, a bit cramped inside. You can order at the counter or the kiosk machine. I chose to order at the kiosk which allowed me time to really check out the menu and not feel rushed. I decided to get the shackburger, cheese fries and fifty/fifty lemonade. I do like how you are able to customize the burger and there's even an option for well-done. After ordering off the machine, you can either choose take out or dine-in, and take a number and wait for the food to find you. The server was quick and I didn't have to wait long for my food. The burgers were absolutely delicious, the beef patties definitely tasted fresh. The fries are all crinkle cuts topped with cheese and come with a small wooden fork so my hands won't get dirty, which is a nice touch. Not many burgers place offers crinkle fries so it's nice that this one does. Unfortunately, the drink came out wrong and tasted like iced tea and not mixed lemonade iced tea, but that's okay. I came here for their burgers. I know they just opened and I don't expect things to run smoothly, but the services were quick at bringing the food despite it being really busy. Prices are reasonable. I definitely will be back!

I got the Chopped Brisket Salad. When the food finally got there, the salad had no brisket on it. Had to get the waiter to go get it. Flavors were all good, at least the brisket was tender. There are plenty of seating, indoor and outside. Service was nice and attentive, and the food came out quickly. Their menu had a lot of different offerings from burgers, to pizza, to entrees. FOOD: ~Sticky Ribs (4.5/5): actually fall off the bone tender! The sauce was tasty. Only thing was the ends were a little too burnt, but it wasn't inedible - gave that nice char taste. ~Italian Grinder (5/5): Typical italian sandwich, but the bread was so good. The roasted peppers added a nice kick, and the sauce was yummy. ~Fries (5/5): love battered fries! And they were seasoned really well ~Catfish and grits (4/5): the grits were wonderful consistency. Catfish was fried really well and was extremely tender. The sauce was so flavorful, but it was very heavy. At first I was worried about the huge chunks of celery, but thankfully, it didn't have that strong celery flavor and added a nice crunch. A really solid meal, especially for a golf course restaurant!

Today was my first visit to the new location and I came away impressed!…read more The ambiance is great. The service is great. The food is great. I'm so relieved that none of those traits got left behind at the old location! There's usually a wait, but they now offer outside tables for waiting or dining. So that's a plus. And it's worth the wait. There's a new bar, so one can sit there and enjoy a drink or a meal. That's nice. There's a new (I don't know what to call it) "dessert deli"? Where all the cakes and pastries are on display and for sale. So that trapped us on our way out. :-) And there's a dedicated door for take-out only, so if you order ahead you don't need to swim upstream of the other waiting diners to get in and grab your food, Here's something really innovative: Their parking lot is on the small side. But they are adjacent to acres of parking in the shopping center. So they run a golf cart in a loop, picking up and dropping off diners who park in the satellite lot. Wow! That's service. The restaurant business is tough. And endless number of ways to fail. But the Brick House Diner is doing everything right! PS: In a time when restaurant prices seem to be out of control, BHD is doing a great job keeping prices as low as they can. For the meal I had, I've paid 10 to 25% more at other, similar venues. So, hats off to BHD for cost control!

This used to be a place where you'd have to wait for a table every time, but now the restaurant is half empty and I see why! When I was ordering my food our server was slightly rude & I was taken aback (but you never want someone to spit in your food so I ignored it lol). As I was ordering my food she repeated my wing order to me as she was typing it in, but she did not acknowledge the fact that I asked for all flats so I said all flats again & her response was an "I heard" under her breath which others at my table noticed the rudeness associated with it as well. The wings visibly looked different but fine, however once I started moving them around, I noticed they were dry & chewy like they were over-fried, but normally when I get them they are moist with a slight char from being grilled even tough they are dry rubbed. The loaded baked potato I was a shock to me..a lot more cheese than potato and it was cold. I'm simply very unsatisfied. I took my food home with me & ended up just throwing it all away. They've still got the best blue cheese though, hope that doesn't change! I've got lots of points to use so I'm going to just try a different location & pray. My two times at Short Pump have been better than the last six-eight months at Midlo.

The man in charge - I think he was the manager - was really welcoming and was great at his job! The location was VERY well run. Skip ahead to sometime mid-2025 till now, and it's a totally different experience... but NOT in a good way. Now all ordering is done by self-service kiosk. (like at McDonald's.) They had introduced those a while ago but there was also a traditional human order taker too. Now you can stare at kitchen staff and NO ONE working there will make eye contact with you. No one will take your order. There is virtually no human contact here anymore. The feeling you got before by the former manager, who made you feel welcomed, is completely gone. It's very sad. The food quality has slipped a little too. And the time it takes to get your order has increased. It is no longer a well run ship. And for that reason, I stopped going in late 2025. I go to Five Guys instead, which still values customer service and has humans welcoming you and taking your order. Please get your act together, Habit. Get a new on-site manager, up your game again, and get rid of the self-service kiosks. Bring back human customer service. If you do, I'll be back.

I've followed this brewery on social media for a few months and have noticed their pictures consistently feature pours with an inordinate amount (2-3") of head on them. As someone who absolutely hates foam, I asked up front for no head. The bartender winced and explained they had to pour that way or they'd get in trouble because the ownership "wants the aroma expressed." I was taken aback...not only by the total lack of regard for the customer but for levying that threat against an employee. I was waiting to meet someone somewhere else for dinner, and put aside my disdain and capitulated as I didn't want anyone getting in trouble over a beer. So, I figured I'd make the most of things out on the patio. Alas, you can't take glass out in the patio, only plastic cups. What?!? If this were a college bar on a Friday night, sure - pour into plastic. But happy hour in Midlothian? The bartender did say they could pour no foam for a plastic cup though, which I thought was funny - they're so precious about their beer the foam is mandatory, but yeah, just dump it in plastic for the patio. All in all, a negative experience and one I won't repeat. My advice is to give the customer what they want, don't threaten employees, and eat the cost of a few broken glasses. To be clear: I get the notion of aromas and such, but this isn't Russian River or Alchemist, or even The Veil (none of which have foam mandates). I could even understand if they were busy (I was the only one ordering), but I wouldn't have asked for a longer pour under those circumstances. The beers are average regionals and customer service and good treatment of employees are non-negotiables. I hope ownership sees this and chills out; the person who pays for the beer dictates the pour, not you.
