I don't usually like to leave negative reviews, but I really felt this needed to be said. The staff at this Cook Out location is consistently rude and dismissive. I'm not even a confrontational person, so I try to stay patient -- but this last experience was just unacceptable. I ordered a Cajun chicken sandwich, and not only did they mess up my order, but the piece of chicken they gave me was so tiny it was almost laughable. The staff was so rude that I couldn't even bring myself to go back and say anything. I just left feeling frustrated and disrespected. At this point, it's clear this location needs real customer service training. People deserve to be treated with basic respect, especially when they're spending their money. They also have the ability to have transparent windows like In-n-out burgers but choose to black out these windows which has you questioning what is really going on in the background. I ordered two mint Oreo shakes. When I got the first one, I noticed it looked like a regular Oreo shake, but didn't give anymore thought to it. I got the second one and noticed it was very green. I pulled up from the window so the next customer can pay for their order. I tasked the first one and it was a plain Oreo shake. First time visit and I'll return to give it a fair try. I did the drive thru and said to the person I've never been here. I would like 1 burger, 1 hot dog. And one order of fries. I asked the person to make give me their favorite style of burger and dog. I got the dog, but no burger. I wasn't charged for the burger. The dog was tasty and the fries were good. Fresh outta Philly I HAD to stop by Cookout to enjoy some good ol polite fast food. The service vibe is completely different from the Philly area. They said "please take your time," and "thank you," I almost thought I died and went to heaven (okay I'm being dramatic). It's been years since I've been to Cookout but they are still 100% legit to me. The menu can be a bit intimidating if you're new to the spot but take your time and any choice is your best choice. The drive-thru lines can be pretty lengthy but considering the times we are in during this pandemic, patience is definitely needed these days. So I don't trip about long waits anymore when I know the food is going to be good. The burgers were super delicious, the cheese fries were excellent, the nuggets were hot & tasty, and the milkshakes are to die for! I truly enjoyed & and this will be my go to spot when I want something quick and reliable. i had ordered 6 trays for my family. when i had gotten home i checked the drinks and they all were correct . then i went to the trays. out of the 6 they only got 3 correct. 3 of the trays were missing their quesadillas but they had doubled up on the fries i guess they couldn't wait for the food to cook so they just slapped fries in the trays. besides the orders being wrong, the food was decent. The fries were good but the chicken was overcooked. if you want any sauce you'll have to ask but when you do be very specific on how many you want. if you get 4 trays and ask for honey mustard they'll only give you two. which is not enough for all the food especially if you love the honey mustard like me. read more

I'm giving them 4 stars, I know its just a hamburger joint but we don't have cook outs where I live and for a quick place to get something to eat this place is perfect. I've been here 3 times in the last 3 weeks and everytime the food has been good, hot and fresh, now its not fine dinning here but i ordered a double hamburger, fries and a cherry cheesecake shake for $8.00, the burger tasted like it just came off my grill and the fries are hot and perfectly salted, the shake is delicious and its so thick I needed a spoon. I'm haven't seen anyone here with a bad attitude they seem happy to me and the two drive thru lanes moved very fast each time I've been here so I don't see what other reviewers are talking about. Good place to actually grab a bite to eat! The prices are Great and you get your money's worth. This location is the friendliest and the most pleasant! Went there today around 5pm and got a variety of tasty food for dinner. This is the nicest I have been to. Now, I have gotten a bite to eat at the Colonial Heights location and I do remember the customer that was behind me with a small child got themselves something to eat and sat down on the bench right beside this Colonial Heights location on the Boulevard a while back. They were being talked about rationally and the little one heard the employees talking about him and his mother and he started to cry and couldn't eat his food. It was sad to witness this at that location. For that insident, I refuse to go to that location in Colonial Heights and I wouldn't recommend any parent with children to go to the Boulevard in Colonial Heights. It is a cold, cruel and discriminating place especially to and for a child. Foxy, I understand how you feel about your first experience. I am sorry. Maybe we can meet up one day since we both live in the same area and I can take you and your child to the Cook Out I go to.
