    Cookies and creams milkshake

I love Shake Shack, it's my go-to travel food, so I was really happy to see this as I got off my plane for a work trip. I needed to grab a quick lunch before starting work and this was a great pick. There is a small wait, but not in a crazy way. You order from two of the cashiers then wait for your name to be called. Everything comes ready to go so you can take your meal on your plane or enjoy it at one of the many tables nearby. I got my usual shack burger and enjoyed it. I also adored my cookies and cream milkshake. A great airport lunch choice!

    Yummy double cheeseburger!

Burgers are soooo yummy. Service is amazing, one worker was even kind enough to give a free drink to sad customer. Super clean and neat. Amazing location so excited. I think the amazing workers name was Mays?? I'm not sure saw it on a tag.

Overall, the experience was not too bad considering it is the airport. The staff took my order quickly and work through it quickly as well. The burger taste fine even though the bun was a tiny bit soggy (even though I ate it right away.) The fries, however there were many pieces that were overfried and dried. They should have not mixed in old fries with new fries and gotten rid of the ones that you can't even bite down on.

This breakfast was not what I was expecting, especially since it was on an airport location. This is probably the best fastfood breakfast I've had. It was so good when I got back home I looked to see if shake shack locations offered it. They don't. The hashbrown portion size and taste were well worth what I paid for it. 4/5 Double egg sandwich it was very good would have tasted better than non a croissant or at least brioche bread instead of the cheap hamburger bun 3.5/5 Check them out for breakfast!

Shake Shack is always a welcome sight when coming or going in the C Terminal. While I usually avoid pre-flight, I usually scoop up a double cheeseburger and fry on my way out of the airport. Service is usually lackluster at the register, as the folks working the register seem the least hospitable of the crew. This turns around fairly quickly as the associate that calls your name and delivers your food to the counter always seems pleasant and friendly. So, make it past the register and you are good. The burgers are always fresh cooked and made as ordered. Fries are usually crispy, but if I see them sitting under the lamp for too long while orders are being made, I ask for them to be dropped for a second to keep the crisp....because ain't nobody got time for soggy fries! Pricing is standard and in line with their regular stores, so that is a nice surprise! Overall, solid stop for an evening burger and fries. No major issues outside of a little attitude at the register.

Best Hot Dog ever! No matter what town I'm in, I find myself searching Yelp to see if there is a Shake Shack nearby. So far, I've found consistent quality at every one I've visited.

Dining in an airport usually means that you're stuck eating low quality food at a high price and a weird time. However, the Shake Shack inside Nashville's BNA airport is trying to change that, one burger at a time. So far, they're doing an excellent job. There wasn't much of a line to order around 1 PM on a Thursday, and although several people were waiting for their food, it was apparent that their team was cranking out orders. For big Shake Shack fans, their menu is abbreviated, but the prices don't seem to be much more expensive inside the airport. I ordered a Shack Burger, fries, and a water bottle - which came out to be just over $15. Pro tip that the water bottle was actually much cheaper than some of the other stores around the airport. My burger and fries were ready in less than 10 minutes, and you could tell that they were crafted with care. Everything was hot, fresh, and tasty. Thank you to the Shake Shack team for giving me just the meal I needed to fuel up before a 2 hour flight!

Fresh crispy bacon cheese fries, hot out of the frying pan. The service was friendly and the wait went fast.

At Nashville International Airport and needed a bite to eat. Wanted something quick because of the time limit I had before boarding my next flight. Ambience was very fast paced as employees were trying to get everyone their food and all the orders out. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger and coke. Cheeseburger was ok nothing spectacular. It was just that a bacon cheeseburger two buns, the patty, bacon, and cheese. I would've preferred some lettuce some tomatoes, some onions just to have some veggies in there too. OK needed some more carbonation for my taste.

Had breakfast while on a layover. Heard the burgers are really good, but decided to go for a Bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich since it was 7am. The sandwich was good & filling. Also had hashbrowns on the side, but could only eat a few. The strawberry lemonade was delicious!

I never knew Shake Shack offered breakfast. The staff were kind. There is a seating area around the restaurant that's nice and comfortable. I ordered a Wake Up Shack with extra crispy bacon. Unfortunately, the bacon needed to be re-made. But once the bacon was extra crispy I really enjoyed the sandwich. The crispy tater tots and Shack sauce make the sandwich extra yummy. I would definitely order this again! Pro-tip: ask for the bacon extra crispy! It's a game changer!

A quick quality burger in a packed airport With not enough time before our flight to sit down at one of the airport's nicer restaurants and no stomach for the cheaper fast food, we opted for a couple of burgers from Shake Shack. Amongst several chain restaurants with menus shortened from their full selection, this one had its full menu available. The line wasn't too terribly long but still of sizable length, but the one smiling woman running the register handled the line quickly and our burgers were out just as fast. We ordered a Shack Stack, a Shack, and a Coke and it cost about as much as it would outside of the airport. The buns on these burgers were super soft but held the hefty patties and toppings just fine. The veggies weren't as crisp as I'd like them to have been but were by no means soggy, and there was tons of cheese and sauce to be had to complement the beef patties. On my Shack Stack the mushroom patty was extra steamy when you bit into it with a lot of molten cheese spilling out of the fried mushroom. I've had this burger in the past, and though there was quite a bit of said gooey cheese in the mushroom, this location only filled the mushroom about two thirds of the way instead of to the brim like I've had it in every other location. Regardless, it was still pretty good. Though this was not the best Shake Shack I've had, the service was quick and friendly and the food was still filling. If you're looking for a faster hearty meal in between flights, this would be a good option for you.

Crack Shack on Kettner Boulevard in San Diego
    Kathy T.

Shake Shack started out in New York as a hot dog food cart. I first became aware of them in San Diego, and I would compare them frequently with The Crack Shack on Kettner Blvd in San Diego. The Shake Shack in Nashville is a tad bit less fun than The Crack Shack, as this restaurant is at the airport. In San Diego, Crack Shack's eating area has a fun open concept, being mostly outdoors. Complete with games such as cornhole and lots of Astro-turf to play on, the SD location makes for a fun outing, especially when it's sun shiny outside. You won't find that here in Nashville's Shake Shack, but you will still find tasty sandwiches. The types of food fare at the Shake Shack are typical fast-food that have upgraded twists: Fried Chicken Sandwiches, Flat-Top Grilled Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and Cheeseburgers, Veggie Burgers, including a sweet potato-based version and a Portobello Mushroom-based Burger, Crinkle-Cut French Fries, a Breakfast Sandwich menu, and Signature Hand-spun Shakes and Floats. I mostly go for nothing other than the Chicken Sandwich, and crave them often. On a whole, I would rate Shake Shack as one of the --if not THE best Chicken Sandwiches --above Chick-fil-A and McDonald's. The Shake Shack Chicken Sandwich consists of a lean and tender cut of chicken breast meat. The breast is breaded, then deep fried very crisply. You should add BOTH the special Buttermilk Herb Mayo Sauce and Signature Shake Sauce. Don't forget the fresh lettuce and pickles. You also can add tomatoes and onion. You can't get a much tastier chicken sandwich in my opinion. On my Hamburger-as-a-choice days, I'll make it a classic cheeseburger, then add Shake Sauce, onions, lettuce and tomatoes. Simple but tasty. It's a better hamburger than McDonald's, proven by Shake Shack's sales: Shake Shack brings in DOUBLE the revenue than the McDonald's brand does. The Crinkle-Cut Fries are only good hot and fresh out of the fryer! Get them either plain, with cheese sauce, or as bacon-cheese fries. Bacon is crisp Applewood smoked. Although I don't eat Hot Dogs, Shake Shack's are done on a flat-top grill. The Hot Dogs are made from 100% Vienna Beef from Chicago. The Hand-Spun Shake flavors are: Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry and Black & White. Floats are Root Beer and Creamsicle. I'm not really impressed with the Shakes here, they seemed flavorless whenever I've tried them. Other drinks are an assortment of Homemade Lemonades, Coke, Sprite Southern Root Beer and others. The breakfast menu, not surprisingly, is very similar to most fast food chains, with one big difference: Shake Shack manages to bring in a healthy 'Egg White Light Sandwich' very well. On the one occasion I had it, the sandwich consisted of griddled egg whites, which was topped with cheddar cheese, arugula, and Signature Shack Breakfast Sauce. The cheddar cheese made it stand out as a stronger flavor. I enjoyed it as a diversion from their Bacon Egg & Cheese Biscuit, which was similar to McDonald's. They also have Tots to go along with their breakfast. This location has a few problems, such as no one takes their job too seriously, but the sandwich hasn't disappointed me yet.

What had prior to 2021 been the abandoned Nashville Convention Center is now a modern mixed use development that has brought life into Broadway west of the "Honkey Tonk Highway" stretch. It features a shopping mall, Assembly Food Hall, a retail scape fronting Broadway, The Place at Fifth, the National Museum of African American Music, and the towering landmark 501 Commerce Street Building. It has brought an Apple Store, Sephora, Shake Shack, Hattie B's, Prince's Chicken, and more to Broadway. On my vacation, I had caught it's act several times. The one sight that always stood out was the consistent long line to Hattie B's. My visits here included Assembly Food Hall, Prince's Fried Chicken, the Twelve Thirty Club, visit the Apple Store, and walk around. My impression was that the stores and restaurants are reasonably priced. Although the restaurants and stores provide decent value, to me the greatest value here was the photo opportunities. The focal point of the development, the L-shaped mall which bridges Broadway with Rep. John Lewis Way gives the gift of a prime photo spot for the 1) Ryman Auditorium where the original Grand Ol Opry performed and 2) Bridgestone Arena. The restaurants, especially in the Assembly Hall provide an opportunity to photograph food. I recommend the Assembly Food Hall Bridge to photograp the historic Ryman Auditorium. Additionally , I learned that if I stood on Broadway by the Bridgestone Arena, that Fifth Plus Broadway made a dynamic photo showing modern and historic Broadway, with the modern Fifth Plus Broadway architecture including towers contrasting with the historic Honkey Tonk Highway streetscape. As far as safety, I felt safe. The one annoyance that I saw were street hustlers at the Rep. John Lewis Way entrance aggressively bothering passer-by. During all of my visits here it was busy. There is a safety in numbers. On the subject of safety, the hot and humid summers need to be taken into account. On a few occasions we had escaped the excruciating heat in the air conditioned Assembly Food Hall for a couple of hours. I rate Fifth Plus Broadway "Four Stars." It is doing a remarkable job extending the lively Broadway restaurant and entertainment scene beyond the western edge of the Honkey Tonk Highway.

The wonton wrapper was thin and fried to a perfect golden crisp. The filling was rich and flavorful, and the sweet chili dipping sauce cut right through to add a bit of brightness. The Chicken Pad Thai was yummy, albeit a little bland. It was nice to see a good bit of crushed peanuts, green onion, and beansprouts, along with a lime slice, which together helped add some texture and make the dish a bit more dynamic. I'm not a huge fan of super spicy cuisine, but this could have done with a little more heat. Assembly Food Hall is a great spot right off Broadway with plenty of seating. The project is projected to generate approximately $1.5 million in annual sales tax revenue for Goodlettsville upon completion. Rivergate Mall was built by Retail Planning Corporation and opened on October 6, 1971. It was the largest mall in Tennessee until the opening of Hickory Hollow Mall in 1978. Over the years, the mall has seen changes in ownership and anchor stores, with the closure of Sears in 2019 and Macy's in 2020. The mall's revitalization efforts come amidst a decline in popularity, attributed in part to the rise of online shopping and competition from other retail centers. The pandemic also impacted the mall, with some employees noting that it never fully recovered from pandemic-related changes in hours and operations. The redevelopment project aims to revitalize the Rivergate area and enhance the quality of life for the community. While the transformation promises economic benefits and a modernized environment, it also brings uncertainty for the employees of the remaining stores, as many worry about their future employment prospects.
