I'm so back and forth with my review. One, because I love Shake Shack in general, but two, because this Shake Shack didn't really live up to its hype! Except the Shake we got. The Shake we got was delicious. But the burgers weren't very memorable, and the fries were a little soggy by the time we got it, and overall we weren't exactly the biggest fan. But I will say, we only stopped once and that was around the time they just opened so maybe things were just a little chaotic while they were starting up. Hopefully the food and service is a little better now that the branch has been up for a little bit! Maybe we will give it another go one day, or we'll at least come back for the shake. read more

First off- the service is great, the workers deserve a better quality of food to serve. The spicy fries with ranch came minus the ranch and the seasoning is just spicy chemicals. I requested tomatoes and got a cherry tomato sized ring. The chicken bites are so overcooked - they should rename them Capt'n Crunch Chicken Bites. The Black & White shake has the flavor profile of Slim Fast vanilla. Disappointed- how this is the hype of the elite OKC crowd? My wife and I decided to try Shake Shack to see if it lived up to the hype. They offer both self-service kiosks and traditional counter ordering. The restaurant was quite loud that evening due to the crowd. My wife ordered the Shackburger, while I got the Double Avocado Bacon Burger. We shared an order of cheese fries, and I got a chocolate shake while she had a root beer float. Our total came to $36.96. My wife enjoyed her Shackburger. My burger was just okay -- I was disappointed by how little avocado was on it. The cheese fries were tasty but a very small portion (more like a kid's size). Probably a pretty solid three. I had been to the Oaks in December right after they opened and the line was out the door. Went recently and didn't have a problem getting a table. I have only eaten at one other--in D.C. The burgers are OK and I like the small option. The shake I got was the best part of my meal. Those at our table that got fries were pretty disappointed. So awesome that there is a Shake Shack in PKC finally! They have amazing burgers - including a special KBBQ style one for a limited time, as well as cheese fries. Also these Korean fried chicken pieces with great and spicy flavoring and a special caramel shake. Other shakes available and desserts, plus chicken sandwiches. Prompt service that brings food to your table. I purchased the double cheeseburger but had to add onion and pickles because it's sold plain. While the burger was good, it wasn't any better than many other places around. The place was so loud and chaotic and there was virtually no seating available inside or out. Honestly, I felt for the employees who had to work in that environment. Would not return. read more

Rating: Shake Shack makes a good burger--there's no denying that. I tried one of their special burgers with peppers, bacon, fries, and a courtesy water, which came out to roughly $15. The burger itself is tasty, and the place is clean and new, with a nice modern out door mall vibe that reminds me of the Tommy Bahama next door which is more pricey than what it should be for the food. That said, I knocked off one star for value. For the price, you can get a flavorful burgers elsewhere locally. Places like Tucker's or Henson's offer larger or more seasoned patties with comparable or better sides for the same price. Ron's, a longtime local favorite, also serves a more satisfying burger, though it may be slightly more expensive. Even chains like Brahms in Oklahoma give you two junior bacon cheese burgers, crinkle fries, and a drink for a bit less than what Shake Shack charges for a single burger. Other minor points: the layout can be a little inconvenient if there's a line--you can't exit easily because one door is locked, and the fencing setup is odd. 10 dollars for a PLAIN burger is diabolical. Don't get me wrong the burger was good however for 10 dollars this burger should be life changing. Now let's say I want a nice refreshing beverage with my meal. I order a Coke with my burger all by itself and a coke is 4 dollars. I think I may have eaten at one of their airport locations a long while ago, but the grand opening at OKC's new OAK development has kept lines out the door. We decided to jump in, hoping the initial hoopla had finally worn off. WRONG! ​Luckily, there was no line outside, but the small crowd ordering and waiting for food right inside the entryway made the area feel a bit cramped. The dining areas (inside and out) seem sufficient, but we opted for an order to go. ​The food is undeniably good. We weren't blown away, nor were we turned off. My Double French Onion Cheeseburger was tasty, and the fries were fresh with a satisfying outer crunch. I also tried their Grilled, Crispy Onion Dog, which came loaded with fresh sliced onions and a heap of cheese sauce. The grilled flavor definitely outshines any plain old boiled hot dog. ​They offer a great selection of beverages and shakes. We had the Strawberry Lemonade and the Mango Lemonade, which had a pleasant, slightly tart, lime flavor. Overall, it's good, quality food--burgers, fries, and dogs. The burgers are the size of sliders, the meat was burnt and unseasoned and the wait for something as simple as a cheeseburger is atrocious. In general it's pretty good. Saw the kiosk bank and also someone at the counter so I didn't really know which way to go so I went to the counter which worked out since I was paying cash. Had the double Shack. Seemed small even though the meat hung over the smallish bun. Friend and I both thought the burger was under seasoned. Had a small lemonade. A gotcha moment as it cost almost half of what the burger cost. One thing really bothered me. First the food was good. The three stars isn't about quality or cleanliness. The staff was friendly. And I do understand they may still be working out the kinks because they've only been open a little over a month. BUT it was not a nice dine in experience. You order and then wait like a hawk for a table. Your drinks aren't given to you till your food comes out which is weird. They didn't have lids for cups (I saw two kids spill, I was so nervous with my two little kids) And it just felt chaotic. People were standing in the way of the food runner because they're waiting for a table. We sat for about 20 minutes (once seated) till our food arrived. First, it's new, so you should expect to wait. The older guy at the door was friendly and pleasant. Once inside, order, then a bit of a hunger games experience to get a table. Once seated, we waited. The burgers seemed small. Not a deal-breaker, if they're tasty. There were four of us, so each of us had a different burger/chicken sandwich. The overall impression was that these were decent burgers/sandwiches, but not worth the hype, knowing there were better options not far away. Next, the fries. The fries were crinkle-cut, and just a tad overdone/extra crispy - just right! The fries were the best part of the meal. We had both plain and bacon-cheese fries. You won't go wrong with either. Lastly, the shakes were just shakes. While they did not have sticky toffee available, we had chocolate, cookies and cream, and Christmas cookie. They were all OK shakes. The cookie flavoring was overwhelming, and I threw away about 1/2 of it. You'd have gotten better visiting your local favorite ice cream shop. Am I glad I went, yes. I'm happy to be the second reviewer for the first OKC location of Shake Shack. Judging from the line we encountered on the third Wednesday that this location was open, you would think that there would be more reviews on here already. We were a party of three. I carpooled with a work colleague. We arrived at about 12:20 pm and got in line. Our friend arrived at 12:30 pm. We didn't get in the door to order until 1:15 pm. Fortunately, it was sunny, not windy, and warm for December. I was impressed that an employee came out periodically to give updates on the expected wait time. I know that they could just put up a digital display on the building's exterior to show a wait time, but it's nice to have a human touch. Ordering at the kiosk was straightforward. I had enough time in line to know what I wanted. I ordered a hamburger with pickles, sauteed french onions, and shack sauce on the side. I also ordered a side of fries. Normally, I just order a burger and share some fries with a friend, but I had no idea how big the order of fries would be since this was my first visit to any Shake Shack ever. I also wanted to be sure that I could try some fries since that is one of my criteria for great burger joints. I was delighted to see the option for choosing a well done burger in the burger selection screen. I'm a bit puzzled how you can cook a smashburger to anything but well done, but I prefer well done burgers so I ordered mine that way. It was not a problem as the burger tasted great! The pickles were tangy, too. The potato bun gave me more evidence that burgers taste better on potato buns. (As another reviewer noted, Spark in OKC is already doing this. Long live Spark!) The sauteed French onions put this burger over the top. I could have bought a whole cup of those to eat by themselves; they were an umami bomb of buttery, herby goodness! One thing I did not like about my order was that I asked for Shack Sauce on the side, but they cook staff added Shack Sauce to my burger anyway. Because of the long wait, I didn't have time to send my burger back to do it the way that I ordered it. Meanwhile, the employee who delivered my order to our table made my day when she asked if there was anything else I wanted. I said that I could use a cup of water, some ketchup, and some mustard. Those came out in a reasonable amount of time. I was impressed with the speed of service given how busy they were that day. Another member of our group got a side of onion rings. He offered me one. I thought it suffers from the same problem that most restaurants have with onion rings: the batter is too sweet. I much prefer an onion ring that is lightly breaded and seasoned only with salt. The crinkle fries made a good accompaniment to my burger. They're not as good as my favorites at Freddy's, but they'll do just fine when I want some fries with my burger. I used the restroom while I was there. I managed to find it when it was not being used. That was good because there is only one restroom in the dining room. However, there is a sign on the door with instructions about how to find nearby restrooms at OAK. I'm looking forward to a return trip to try a shake and maybe a double burger. I'd give a five star review for the ambience around the Shake Shack and the food was decent too but it took over 45 minutes for us to get our food. For a fast casual dining restaurant that's FOREVER to wait. My milkshake was straight liquid by the time it got to our table. There was a staff member offering to refill drinks and bring out food. We told her we had severe food allergies and asked if she could check the package of burger buns for some ingredients. She politely smiled and we never saw her again that night. Oh and there was one, ONE gender neutral bathroom that was OUT OF ORDER. When you have customers lined up outside of your building to order your food, the least you could do is have two working bathrooms. I understand I don't know the backstory of how long the bathroom was out of order but not being able to even wash our hands in the restaurant while waiting for 45 minutes for our food was annoying. Also, whoever designed the entrance and self serve ordering space should be fired. What a terrible bottleneck of hangry people all congregating in a tiny space while mean mugging each other for the next available table. And if you did get a table, then you were conveniently located next to the Hangry people standing around waiting for the next open table pretty awkward. And, would it be too much to ask to have an adult sized cup to fill with water instead of their little kid Dixie cups? Mini cups don't cut it when the food has the amount of sodium that Shake Shack insists on using. read more

We had a great time at this restaurant! There was a wait but the it wasn't awful. We got to visit and look at all the new stores and the ice skating rink. We had a conversation code for a free burger on the website. Every item we ordered was delicious ! There were eight of us. We slid a table over to ours and all the staff was accommodating. All smiles. Very friendly Rick was our liaison and helped us so much! Picked out things to try and he did not steer us wrong at all. So clean in the restaurant and the restroom was very tidy. Even for how busy they were we never felt rushed or uncomfortable. Almost seems as though it should be this way. We enjoyed it. Lots of laughs. The prices seemed very adequate for this experience. The shakes, burgers , hot dogs and loaded fries were so much fun to share. Thank you for providing us with an experience and time together with people I love. Though it's self-service, they still asked for a tip after you ordered, before you paid. When they brought the food to you, they didn't even fill up my water cup. My friend's burger was not fully cooked (medium). While eating, somebody came around with a tray of water, which was a nice gesture. The line was very long, which is understandable since they recently opened, but it was not worth waiting in. I waited over 30 minutes and was very excited because I had tried Shake Shack at another location. Unfortunately, tonight's experience was extremely disappointing. The food was overpriced, the quality was very poor, and the portions were very small. Additionally, the food was not even warm. Given this experience, I believe a refund is appropriate and would like my money back. I am very disappointed to say that I will not be returning. read more

Wanted my wife to try Shake Shack since I had eaten at one in another city and was impressed. We ordered at the kiosk. She ordered a 6 piece chicken item and I ordered the single cheeseburger with an order of cheese fries for us to share. We each ordered an iced tea. After waiting a minimum of 20 minutes for our order, it did arrive as ordered. Everything was there including our iced tea that we had to wait 20 minutes to receive our drinks which is a bit strange. As for the food, my wife said her chicken was not very warm. I took a bite of it and she was too kind as it was cold. My cheeseburger was the size of a kid's menu item. I even asked a waitperson if it was the correct size. My cheeseburger included pickles on it and it did have two pickle slices about the size of quarters. I guess that did cover the patty so that gives you an idea of the size of their $10 cheeseburger. The cheese fries were good, but do not expect to be covered with as much cheese as the picture Tim T has posted from a month ago. The fries on the perimeter of the container were completely uncovered. Total bill was $31. The iced tea is good but does cost $3.69 for a small. We were asked when we left if everything was good and my wife said the quality was lacking. The response was sorry and to give them another chance. The food was great. The service was terrible. It's not a sit down restaurant but waiting 59 minutes from when I paid to when I received my order is ridiculous. It felt like every order coming out was an online or to go order. Everyone sitting, waiting for food and bag after bag leaving. I saw multiple people ask for a refund because an hour wait for fast food is ridiculous. Again, good food. It's what you would expect from a shake shack, they just need to fix their workflow.
