Food is great! Times are weird, and online ordering is always frustrating. My husband actually placed an order and did it incorrectly, and when I called Shake Shack to tell them they didn't do our order correctly I realized we were the ones that had made the mistake while ordering! I've been a customer at Shake Shack for almost a year now and never had an issue...until yesterday. Placed my order and when I got home it was some other food that I can't eat. Of course I happened to be starving and I called but got no answer. The next day I went back and I was pleasantly surprised by their customer service. Oh my, this place is great!. I got the chicken sandwich with herb mayo. The bread was so soft, the chicken was fried to perfection, the fries were great! I hate to say this but, this chicken sandwich taste better than Chick-fil-A and Popeyes. This now my go to for a chicken sandwich... They're a little on the pricey side but, it's worth it..... Like this location. Glad there is one closer to Dekalb county. Be mindful it is card and Apple Pay/android pay ONLY (because people don't carry cash anymore). You don't order from a person, you do all your ordering through a computer inside the restaurant. Food is always good. DOWNFALL.........You have to pay for parking if you are there longer than 30 minutes, so if they are packed and you want to eat in, be prepare to pay for parking. read more

I went in to order my food using the iPad/kiosk. That was fine. The problem came shortly thereafter. The kiosk asked me to insert my phone number and then said I would be notified by text message when the order was ready. This was at 7:56. I sat outside waiting and when I didn't receive a text message by 8:30 I went inside to inquire about my order. Upon going inside I found out that my order has been ready and collecting dust since 8:05 and that the text messaging system is hit or miss. That was news to me. They offered to remake my fries so that I didn't get the cold ones and I did appreciate that. I then asked about parking validation which they willfully provided, however they stated that after 30 Minutes has passed the parking will not validate. I ended up having to pay the full cost for parking when had I been notified of my order being ready within that 30-minute threshold, I would not have had to pay. I am very disappointed in shake shack's systems and communications. TAKEAWAYS: IF YOU ORDER FROM THE KIOSK DO NOT EXPECT TO BE NOTIFIED VIA TEXT MESSAGE. THAT IS FAKE NEWS. My first few visits, everything went smoothly. Food was pretty tasty and decent quality - I'm not really into fast food but I found myself coming back to try more stuff. Unfortunately the service and overall experience has declined each time. Last time I went, all but 2 of the kiosks were down, so even though it was a dead time I still had to wait for someone else to finish up before I could even order. Most of them were just sitting on a login screen, so I'm pretty sure this was just simple negligence. Ordered some shakes and tendies. This time it took a lot longer than normal, and it was only after waiting for about 15 minutes that my SO suggested I go check on it. After waiting a minute for the girls behind the counter to finish their conversation and notice the 6'2" guy standing in front of them, I discovered my order had just been sitting on the counter for the past 10 minutes or so and they never finalized it so I never received a notification. By then the food was cold and the shakes were warm. There was no apology, no offer to redo anything, they just stood there blankly until I just grabbed the stuff and left. tl;dr: Food is good, if you get lucky. I wasn't mad when I heard shake shack was opening on the beltline. I have stopped by two times since the opening. Shake shack is located on the newly developed part of the east side trail in the studioplex complex near all the cool metal statues. The ordering here like others have mentioned is via a computerized system. You place your order, pay via credit and they will text you when your food is ready. Its nice because people dont just hover by the cashier. If you want, you can also order the conventional way. Shake shack isnt what you would consider cheap fast food. For two people, we spent about $30 when you include a shake, 2 burgers and 2 fries. I was honestly pretty impressed about the quality of the crinkle cut fries. I typically hate them as they get soggy and arent as crisp. They were shockingly perfectly crisped and salted. My burger was good-- more or less five guys-ish. What I liked about this location is how dog friendly it is. I can go inside to do a quick order, go out and hang on patio and then pop in to get my food when its ready. There is Jenga outside including a ping pong table that I saw kids using the entire time. I like the family engagement that was going on! My biggest complaint is that this place needs to be more eco friendly-- switching from single use plastic+ better recycling options + composting. They are in ATL now and Compost now has corporate options. No excuse not to compost. read more

Super siked about this location! The atmosphere is great, and so perfect for an outside lunch break. You order on i pads that's cool. My favorite is the mushroom burger! Its literally the only thing with the cheese fries I've only eating here. Everything else looks great too but no one else has that mushroom burger! read more

I wish I would've taken a photo of my cheeseburger. I asked before I ordered if I could get my burger medium rare and I was told that they all come medium rare. When I got my cheeseburger, it was flat, WELL done and maybe 3/8" thick at the most with a very small piece of wilted lettuce and two slices of tomato and a slice of cheese. It doesn't look anything like the cheeseburger on their menu. Even if it did look like the photos, it still wouldn't be good. Cheeseburger was $6.59, $2.99 for a small container of fries. Just okay tasting, just not worth the price. Not by any stretch of the imagination is it good beef. I don't give them a year before someone worthy of the space and location takes it over. Only saving grace is that they're on the beltline. Street parking only. The attached garages are pay-for. Like I'm really going to pay to go to a subpar eating experience. As you might notice, I didn't refer it to a "dining" experience. Food gets a D-. Friendliness of the clerk that delivered our meal, A++. Location B. Pay-for parking F-. Restaurant setting--it smells like a greasy burger joint. I guess I'm stating the obvious. I will not be returning even if they were giving the food away. read more

Well, I was super-excited while strolling on the Beltline near my house and I noticed this joint! I'd never heard of Shack Shack, but was enthralled when I saw "custard" on their signage. I knew immediately I wanted a serving of plain frozen custard! Frozen custard is rare in the South....so I even texted a friend about my discovery! However, I was immediately turned off when instead of ordering with a human I was relegated to order via an android/kiosk. When ordering via the robot clearly wasn't working, an annoyed employee approached and I proceeded to request some frozen custard to-go. They looked at my me, completely puzzled, like I wasn't speaking English. I repeated, "cup of frozen custard to-go". More bewilderment. They clearly were not equipped to sell me custard. WTF! Why was this simple request so confusing!? I reminded them that "custard" was one of 4 items referenced on their signage, and after a painful escalation process, I was referred to a manager who offered up a blended dessert she referred to as a "concrete" which was essentially a drink cup filled with ice cream and bits of waffle cone. AND, I'm rarely negative, but it gets worse, people! They charged me $7.99! ADD to this, nowhere to lock up a bike.....let me repeat, NOWHERE TO LOCK A BIKE! (HELLO, you're on the Beltline). I was very disappointed in the food and the staff. I came across the Buckhead location a while back and had a great experience. Took a friend to the Fourth Ward and it was mediocre. First, as I was reviewing my order some "helpful" person came over and before I knew it had finalized my purchase before I could see what was in my cart. Trusting that the order was correct, and busy catching up with my friend, we sat down and talked. When the order came we started eating and I realized I had no sauce on the side for my burger. She brought me some sauce and it did make the burger slightly better but not much. Wasn't til I got home that I realized my Smoke Stack had no bacon and no smoke. It was a plain tasteless cheeseburger even with the sauce on the side. Will never go back to that location. read more

I love the location and the staff are really nice. You order at a kiosk with several iPads and pay by card. I'm assuming you could order through a cashier and pay cash but I haven't seen anyone do that. The burgers and fries taste like any other Shake Shack but I did not like the chicken nuggets. While the nuggets are a decent size, they tasted like they had been fried in old, dirty oil. The accompanying bbq sauce is average at best. read more

Last time I attempted to go to Shake Shack in Buckhead it was sadly closed so I was delighted to see this location open up. Staff was friendly and attentive and made some jokes which is always nice.
