This was my first visit. When I entered on a Saturday evening, restaurant was 80% empty. It looked like an efficient automated environment, with touch screen terminals eliminating the need to interact with staff. I ordered a shake at the console. At the payment screen I was asked if I wanted to leave a tip! For what? Im not dining at a restaurant being served by wait staff. Even if there was, why would anyone tip up front before receiving service? The $8 shake was expensive enough that they could probably afford to pay their people better. After 10 min, I thought maybe I did something wrong and the order didn't go through... I walked up front to ask.... They didn't check..just told me to sit down and they will bring it when its ready. After another five minutes, I was still waiting even though the restaurant was almost empty by then... When I complained, their response was. " we are sorry, its because we are really busy" Really? The place was almost empty! Magically, the shake was brought to me quickly after complaining..probably had been sitting there awhile. Whats going on?...do walk-ins have to wait in the same line with online orders? Regarding food: the banana shake tasted okay but at $8, Im not sure it was a good value. And definitely not worth the wait. Not sure I will be back anytime soon Update: I did go back the following week just to see if my first experience was not an exception. This time the restaurant was virtually empty. I was one of two customers. The kitchen and staff looked very busy obviously working on takeout orders. My shake took 11 minutes to get to me and I don't think they started on it until two minutes before I received it. Obviously, they give absolutely no priority to people who have taken the time to physically go there. If you walk in and order, you're gonna wait in line behind all of the call-in orders. read more

I love Shake Shack's burgers, and the fries here are delicious. The original is really good, but there are other burgers to choose from, just with additional cost. The only reason I have it 4/5 stars is because the portion is small, isn't really filling, and the items are kind of pricey, but I guess what isn't nowadays. The service was quick for me, but my friend's order, which included a milkshake, took longer. There are plenty of seatings inside, and there are outdoor seats as well. Really tasty smash burgers but at a premium price! The last Shake Shack I've been to was in a different state a few years ago so wanted to try it again. The burgers were really good and had that crispy patty edge that you're looking for in a smash burger. The burgers are pretty small for the price and didn't really fill me up. Fast service and easy to order on the kiosk. The food came out relatively quick. It's a typical smash type of burger and doesn't look the prettiest but it does taste good. I enjoyed the burger with the fried portobello mushroom a lot. I wish the burgers were a bit bigger as they were bigger than a slider but small compared to other burgers around. I know plano west is busy, but if I'm gonna spend $75 on food at your restaurant, the least you can do is care enough to make it right. Orders online. Picked up, and when I got home, all 4 orders of fries were missing. Had to go back. Wait for order to be redone, but the guy taking care of the customer in front of me, was more interested in a conversation in French than thanking him and moving to me. I had to stare him down to try and get his attention and still no luck. While you make a good product when done right, I won't waste my time on expensive burger night when I had so much careless service. I expect this with normal fast food, but come on SS. Y'all can do way better than this. As for improving, CHECK ALL ORDERS BEFORW THEY GO OUT. When things go wrong, do something to make it right. I feel like I wasted $75. Haven't been here in a while, but the food is pretty good! Came on Friday at 5 p.m. for some quick burgers and floats. The burgers are quite nice, they came out fresh, hot, and juicy. They also paid special attention to customization like no tomatoes, etc. which was greatly appreciated. Only small complaint is the size of the burger is a little small. Fries were also superb!! Fresh and crunchy and perfectly seasoned. I got the spicy fries where they dusted some spicy powder on top, I didn't think this was worth the extra price compared to normal fries. The floats were okay, not the greatest. Pretty standard. The orange creamsicle float tastes tons better once the ice cream melts. Service was good and simple, your order at the kiosk and they deliver. The napkins and ketchup area was also clean and in stock. The ambiance is like a bit of an upbeat and it has a modern design. The Smoke Shack is da bomb! The bacon is perfect, the peppers on top just set it apart..then the cheese and beef so buttery and greasy good. Or if you crave simplicity the Shack Burger is near unbeatable. I love the craggy edges they cook into their smashed and super seared patties. It's easily the best way to cook a burger. So far I've had little else here besides their wonderfully crispy crinkle cut fries. I did not care much for their Shack Stack. I thought the heavy-handed portobello mushroom and muenster cheese clashed with the traditional buttery patty and melty American cheese. This location is busy and loud. So speak up or the douchey guy taking your order will get annoyed and ask you to speak up. Or just cancel him and use the new-ish kiosks. This is a very busy Shake Shack. They had plenty of staff on the day we visited. We placed an order and less than 10 minutes later we had our food. Staff seemed to all work well together and want to be at work. They all maintained a positive attitude on a super busy day. There was a wine festival on the day we visited. We expected service to be slow but it was not affected. The restaurant was kept clean while people came and went. Food was delicious. No issues to report here. read more

Chains like this usually get bad reviews but I think it's undeserving. I thought everyone I talked to was very friendly and the food came out fast. I'd say the new Korean bbq burger isn't worth it, it's just a burger with green/fried onions with a gochujang sauce. The hot dog on the other hand is so good value for money. I'd get a hot dog for a few cents more than fries any day! The store was nice and clean and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Water bowl for dogs outside is a nice touch! read more

Received a small amount of fries that were very undercooked and a small condiment cup of cheese and bacon that was also cold and wouldn't even pour out of the cup. I don't know what it is about these burgers, but they're so delicious! Yes, they're not necessarily super cheap and the burgers aren't massive, but the flavors are on point and is something I always crave. There's chicken and hot dog options if you aren't in the mood for a burger. They also have fries and shakes as well. My top two favorite burgers are the Link burger and the Smoke shack. The Link burger is their cheeseburger topped with a Pecan Lodge jalapeno cheese sausage link, pickles, and their famous Shack sauce. Anything Pecan Lodge is amazing so combined with their burger is a no brainer! The Smoke shack is their cheeseburger with apple wood smoked bacon, chopped cherry peppers, and their Shack sauce. Love the smokiness from the bacon and the kick of the cherry peppers on this one. Their crinkle cut fries is also amazing and if I want to go all out, I'll go with the bacon and cheese fries. So good! Their shakes are also very delicious but also pretty heavy. They have seasonal ones that they will rotate out but it is definitely something I don't indulge in too often. This is a 5 star hamburger joint. I held back in 2019 during my first visit this location. But having eaten at their other Plano location several times it is a no-brainer to rate this a 5. I took some interior photos to update the review. We had great cheeseburgers just like at other location. I think this place has put in the tablets to place one's order (see photo) since we came first time. Ordering at tablet is done same way at both locations. What's best about this location is you are very likely to get a covered parking garage spot right across from restaurant. If you come into Windrose Ave in front of store from Legacy Ave take the first entrance to parking garage on right. When you come down you will exit right in front of Shake Shack. If it is busy weekend or holiday traffic best to go to Legacy West via Headquarters Drive enter garage from north end and drive to south end. Windrose Dr is very very crowded on most weekends. read more

My sister and I came here after not having been to Shacke Shack in quite a while so I was really looking forward to our lunch. We usually split our food so I opted for the chicken sandwich with cherry peppers added and an order of cheese fries, sis got the double shack burger with bacon and fried onions. Though quite busy, we found a seat and didn't have to wait long before our food was ready. My food was just ok. The chicken on my chicken sandwich was small and uneven, which was evident when I cut it in half and my cheese for my cheese fries wasn't hot and looked like it had been sitting for awhile. My sisters burger was better, actually it was pretty good, but my major gripe was that both of our buns were cold which made them unpleasant to eat. My sis seemed to enjoy her meal, but for me after eating SS this time around, it will probably be a long time before I return. read more

I have been here several times when visiting Legacy West. They have a very solid burger offering that is worth a visit. My Favorite burger is the Smoke Shack. The Bacon Cheese Fries will definitely help you clog your arteries in the way God intended!! The fries are always good and crispy. Since it is called Shake Shack I always order the special flavor Shake when i visited. I got the Sugar Plum Fairy at Christmas time. It had fun white chocolate sugar coated candy pieces and a nice subtle raspberry flavor. When i visited during Pride month I got the Pride Shake to be supportive of obesity and the LGBTQ+ community. I really wanted to like this place but I don't get it. The place is clean which I loved, the people were pretty helpful. I don't like that they ask if you're allergic or preference when you decline something. I feel it's invasive and they don't explain why they ask until after you order. The food, it taste fine I guess as far as the burger but it's like an after school snack with a dinner big boy price?!
