I finally stopped into SS after all of these years. I had a Shack Burger, it was about $10. It wasn't with that IMO. It was worth about $7. The patty was real thin and the bacon was really thin. Pros: Their vanilla custard is phenomenal! I also love their fries. The staff is nice & they are pretty fast. Mixed: They have a parking lot, but it always seems to be full from people parking there who aren't eating there. It's right in the heart of Little Italy where parking can be hard to find. The parking lot is great, but hopefully they'll monitor it better, The not so good: I typically get the chicken shack sandwich, which is hit or miss. Decided to grab Shake Shack before heading out to an event with the husband; it was also located nearby our hotel. Location is spacious with plenty of seating and there is a small parking lot. My cheeseburger was fresh and tasty, I'm glad to report that my cheeseburger was not overcooked. It was cooked just right. My fries were crispy, hot and not salty. How do you say no to crispy and fresh fries? There is indoor and outdoor seating for big and small groups. I've been to shake shack in Central Park a few times so my standards were set high. I ate at this place when it first opened and I must say this place has improved, as it shows, this place has grown and changed my foodie opinion for the better. What I enjoyed on the food experience was the easy ordering process from the kiosk was easy. The cheeseburger was fresh and not overcooked. My meal was delivered to me within 15 minutes, granted it was a Wednesday night but delivering fresh and delicious food is a process. The cheeseburger's are medium sized so if you're a hungry adult then order two burgers. You'll thank me later with a thumbs up. The parking is limited here so keep that in mind but this should not be a show stopper especially if you're with a group. There is plenty of outdoor seating, the indoors can accommodate but you'll have better luck outdoors. This place is five minutes from the airport and seven minutes from downtown via car. There is a lot of lights to get through little Italy but if you have the moxie to walk here from downtown you can rest at each stop light as you pass through Little Italy. I found the lemonade, ice tea and shakes refreshing and complement the cheeseburger burgers in the spirit of cheeseburger, fries and a drink trifecta. There are a voluminous number of restaurants to satisfy your taste buds in this area so if you're looking for food to curb your appetite and is quick then this place will check that box off or walk another six minutes and pay up at another restaurant close by. I gave this place four stars because I've had shake shack in NYC and the food is at another level there that words cannot describe. I will return to this place when the timing is right. read more

You can order ahead from your phone or order inside. They have plenty of inside and outside patio seating. We ordered right at opening 10:30am on Saturday and the store was clean and already had a couple of customers. 2nd time here, and I'll give it a solid 4 stars. I wish the burger patties were a bit bigger, but I guess if you get a double, then it isn't too bad, lol. This location is in the Little Italy area of downtown San Diego with a tiny parking lot nestled on one side. If you don't luck out with a spot there, good luck on the street. There are multiple parking garages and also $12 valets scattered down India Street. The burgers here are pretty damn good. I like how they are made to order and not like a McD where they have stuff ready and sitting on the sidelines only to be cold by the time you get it. That's so lame. The freshness here can't be beat, and the fries are really good imo! The Bacon Cheese Fries have a little spice added on top to give it a smidgen of a kick. I don't think I've had a shake from here, but next time I go, I'll have to get one! There's a limited amount of seating inside, but there is also a good amount of tables outside. The service is pretty quick, and there are a few kiosks you can order at if you are paying by card. Love the burgers here, but I'd love it if they were bigger! We walked from the waterfront front park and it was about a 8 min walk! Not bad at all and you get to enjoy the scenery around downtown - little Italy area. We did pick up so when we walked in the food was ready for us to pickup and we decided to eat outside where there is outside seating. The portion of my double beef patty burger was sooo good. I also love their sauce!! I paid extra just so I can eat more of it lol. The avocado was fresh and delicious with my burger.. I also ordered a gluten free bun and it was perfect for me since I can't eat gluten much... the bun didn't taste much of a difference to a regular bun!! Sometimes GF bread is heard / dry, but I noticed Shake Shack makes bomb GF buns!! The staff here are SOO sweet and friendly! Literally, my co-worker was coughing a lot and the staff told her she's CPR certified. It was the nicest thing to show her concern. There is a lot of seating here!! I ordered the Shake Burger, bacon cheese fries and a Root Beer float. The employees were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The burger was rather small but tasted good. The Krinkle cut fries were okay, but were a frozen product. The float was good and made with vanilla ice cream. The burger was a little bigger than a slider and not what I saw on the Jolly show I watched. Parking is limited and there was mentally ill and homeless wandering around the business. read more

We came in for a shake. Ordering is interesting. You can order on some self-serve kiosks located near the entrance. The screens really need to be cleaned hourly as they were a bit gross. Once you order, you select a number by picking up one of the numbered metal markers scattered around the terminal. Never saw this anywhere before but I suppose it works.
