Great food, simple burger done right! Great shake special, the Corflake Shake is excellent!!

The boys and I really, really like the burgers and fries here! The food has always been great. The customer service has also been great. The issue at the Southlake location is seating. Not sure they knew how many people would be through there. But, I'd have to say I haven't been in there at a lot of different hours of the day, so I'd say we go at some of the busiest times. But the inside seating is an issue. Keep up the great food!!!!!! read more

Asked for a burger, cheese fries and a strawberry shake. No clean tables so we had to sit outside in the cold and wind. Outside heaters were not on but the fans were. Waited twenty minutes. Went inside to check on order and found a table a couple was self-cleaning as they left. Moved to inside. Finally got food. They forgot the burger. Stood in line again for fifteen minutes while fries got cold and shake melted. Ordered burger for the second time. Another wait. Line lady was completely disrespectful after they messed up the second burger. (Pro tip: don't have someone run the register solo on their second day and don't get pissy when your restaurant repeatedly messes up.) Horrible service and complete lack of caring from all staff. Shake Shacks are normally one of our favorite places. This location lacks any of the culture or ability that other Shake Shacks have. Absolutely abysmal in cleanliness (which does seem to be repetitive at this location) but definitely have the snark down pat. read more

Love love love!!! Everything here is delicious!! Service is great too! I recommend the burger, the oreo shake, and anything that has to do with those fries! If you thought Southlake didn't need another hamburger restaurant...you were WRONG! Danny Meyer and the team from Union Square brought a Shake Shack to Dallas a few years ago and it kept me from having to commute to NYC for the Shackburger, bacon cheese fries and salted caramel shake. Now it's even closer! Tucked in between Trader Joe's and the Gingerman, parking can be tricky but if you are going for a burger and cheese fries then a few extra steps is probably a good thing! The burgers are pricey and a little on the small side but are fresh and delicious. You are buying quality ingredients and in all fairness do you really need a burger as big as your head?! The bacon cheese fries are a shareable delicacy and the hand spun shakes are the real deal. We have been a few times and the team is really working to make this place a hit. The store manager, Shannon is awesome. She makes you feel like a regular and had our names down on the second visit. Some of the reviews are really complaining about the seating and parking...it's a NY based restaurant and gives you that feel...have you been to NYC...this place is actually wide open and spacious in comparison. You will have to search for a parking spot and wait for a table but it's worth it. Construction is almost done and with warmer weather the patio will be perfect. Burgers are ridiculously small. So go in with that in mind. Inside looks great, we got there just before the lunch rush (11:45), so we got good seating inside. We ordered cheeseburgers, chicken bites, and fries, my kids ordered chocolate milk because they say it goes good with burgers. The order taker said it would take six minutes (I may be mistaken she could have said 9) for your order to be ready, so we took a seat and waited. It took well over 20, so they missed the mark a bit, but I'll give them a pass for that since we weren't in a hurry. Now the food. Burger tasted great, but was too small for what you pay for. Even my kid who is only 9 thought I got him the kids burger and wanted another because he wasn't full. Fries were good to ok, your standard crinkle fry. Chicken bites had fishy taste to them and the batter would crumb off, so when you dipped them into the sauce you had to fish them out because the batter would come off. Who orders chocolate milk at these place, probably nobody but us, because they didn't know how to make it and gave us milk with a little chocolate coloring, because it tasted like milk (I tried stirring no help). We swapped it out for soft drink and my kids we ok with it. My son used the restroom and said it was nice and had a fancy hand dryer, again he is 9. read more

Waaay too expensive for nothing much. Burger was nothing 'special'....very thin patties, fries ordinary:super average...chicken sandwich only ok...& the $5 shake was very good. But....finding a table to sit & eat...a serious problem. This stores design is terrible, from roof drains that pour out onto the entry steps, too too few tables, parking lacking....list goes on. Visited today for lunch. Line was short but seating was cramped. Husband had the burger, fries and a chocolate shake. His review - I'll stick to Whataburger or Mooyah. Fries were cold with little taste. Shake was melted down about two inches - for $5 you'd think it could at least be blended properly. He did not care for the squishy bun. I had the shroom burger and iced tea. The tea was old - tasted off. The thing on my sandwich was a previously frozen, crusted, fried grease puck. The crust was so hard it was difficult to bite. My daughter works at this location and I was able to get in the day before the opening. She had told me to be there at 11 but I actually needed to be there at noon lol so the Manager let me stay and I was able to see them prepare and get ready for their practice run with friends and family coming in. The place is nice and the management team seemed to get the employees excited for the day. Now on to the food. Lol I got the smokeshack burger that has cheese bacon and cherry peppers for a bit of kick and the shack sauce. Omg it was so good! It was big too and that was with just one burger patty. You can get it with double if you like but it is a nice sized burger and seasoned so well. The bun makes it better. I also got the cheese fries and they were absolutely my favorite. I always look for good cheese fries and I am constantly disappointed because the cheese has no flavor or it's like the cheese sauce you get with your nachos at the movies. Yuck! This is not that cheese sauce. You can tell it's real cheese and it's creamy and the fries are nice and crisp. Just delish! I also got a chicken sandwich for later at dinner and it was perfect. The chicken is thick and juicy and the batter is crisp and also well seasoned. It's got pickles that are thick and tart and a buttermilk herb mayo and it all goes so well together. First time at a Shake Shack figure i would give it a try and it didn't disappoint. I was so excited to to try their menu I didn't know what to choose because everything looks so good. The Manager Heitzel went above and beyond to help me find the perfect meal. The place was very clean and priorities customer safety. The staff seems very friendly and well trained. Definitely not kid friendly, no kids menu or kids drink. But dog friendly, so bring your fur baby just not your real baby.

Grabbed a chicken shack with fries a couple of days ago. Was disappointed by the size of the chicken I was given. The sandwich is already small in comparison to their competitors, but mine did not even poke out of the bun. Think instead of a grown chicken, mine was sourced from a baby chicken. I would have been happy to wait a bit but not happy to just simply be ignored. They were not busy at all. Like i said in another post. I love the food and the prices. The good news: this is the exact same delicious burger I remember from the original kiosk-in-the-park NY location! I was thrilled! Excellent crinkle fries too The not so good news: given he lack of kids' menu and the huge space crunch issue, this isn't a family-friendly burger place which will likely spell its doom here. There's no kids' menu, which just doesn't make sense for a burger place in this town. Seating is really lacking. I went for lunch with a party of four on a Tuesday around 1230 and got the last table. I imagine it could be prohibitively crowded on the weekends, even when the patio opens. As it was, anyone who walked in with kids looked stressed about the seating. Here's really nowhere to even stand when you're waiting for a table to open up. It would certainly deter me from bringing my family on a weekend. Parking is also a little tight, and the whole place feels like it was squeezed into a lot that was half a size too small. Customer service was okay but not great. I had to step in and explain to my dining companion that the portobello burger is a mushroom "patty" (not mushrooms ON a beef burger) which the employee did not mention as she was ordering, but I knew from prior experience. I could see how that could be a common mistake. I'll be back on occasion for the dose of nostalgia for living In NY in my 20s but I'm not sure this will be successful. read more

Went to the new Shake Shack in Southlake for the first time last night and had an awesome cheeseburger, fries and shake! The staff was super-awesome because we rolled in about 20 minutes before they closed which means we didn't start digging in until about 7 minutes before they closed but it didn't seem to phase them at all. Over priced burgers. You can go to alot of other places and get a better burger. The burger taste like a Freddy's burger. You have to ask for onions that's crazy and some of the burgers don't have lettuce. Maybe they need to stay in New York selling hotdogs. Because the burgers need some help and you buy fries and soda separate. No combo price. Basically this place is a rip off. Hopefully there custard is better then there burgers. read more

Very disappointing. High price for VERY small burger. Meat was dry and nasty white bead bun was soggy. But I guess it's good it was small because I couldn't even choke down the whole thing. I haven't had a burger that pathetic since junior high in the school cafeteria. Fries are like OreIda frozen from the store. Had to wipe down our table before sitting down. Bathroom was dirty with just the end of a toilet paper roll left. SO disappointing. Return visit is not in our plans. There are plenty of other burger places with flavorful food. read more

Unfortunately, I found it to be expensive, not enough seating and the burger was just okay. My son had a shake and said it was nothing special. I used to go to shake shack in Philadelphia all the time. I was very excited when I learned they opened one near me in Southlake. We went today and it was great. It was packed for the lunch hour and it is very small on the inside. The outside wasn't quite done but it does look like they will have tables to eat at on a patio area by the Spring. The food was great just like I remember and they had some new items. I would definitely recommend Shack Shack if you are in the mood for a casual but really good burger. read more

An OK burger. Ok Service. Awful seating. It's the wild Wild West when it comes to grabbing a table. I tried to make sure those in front of me got a seat, but when it came time to me and my baby and wife, we were left holding the car seat with no where to sit. First time having Shake Shack. Pretty disappointing. First the guy taking the orders is having a coughing fit. Wonderful. Then you need to scramble for a seat in the small cramped eating area. No staff could be observed at all cleaning tables. The floor was wet with a spilled drink. Only one ketchup dispenser was functional. The iced tea dispenser was completely empty. That's a sin in Texas. Several customers were observed complaining about the iced tea situation. Nothing was done. Then the buzzer goes off and we go up to get the food. And even though the buzzer went off the food was not actually ready and required more waiting at the pickup counter. The napkin dispensers at the pickup window were empty. The burger and chicken sandwich were fine enough but kind of smallish and not worth the price. The 50/50 their version of an Arnold Palmer, only had about 5% lemonade. The lemonade tea ratio was totally off. The highlight was the fries and that's really it. Overall, this is Not worth the hype. read more
