The food here is pretty consistent with other Shake Shacks, so I'll focus more on the restaurant. They have kiosks to order from if you didn't already order online. Not a fan of their shakes. We had never been to a Shake Shack before and decided to stop for a snack after visiting the nearby Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. The parking lot was very busy but we snagged a spot. They have ordering kiosks inside but we decided to order at the counter. We each ordered a malt and we split an order of Parmesan Fries with Truffle Sauce. We enjoyed the Parm Fries. We weren't big fans of the Truffle Sauce. Surprisingly, the Malts were "just okay". Luckily we are part of the test market for the new French Dip Angus Steak Sandwich. I was ecstatic to try this sandwich. I'm a sucker for steak sandwiches and horseradish. This sandwich was 7.5 out of 10 for me. The beef was a little tough and the garlic aioli was too strong for my liking. My cousin suggested this place. I've heard good things about their Burgers and Shakes. I had already eaten. So, I just got some Custard. A small container was $4.49 and was not filled to the top? The Custard was rich and tasted like Chocolate Chips were mixed in. My cousin let me try her Truffle Fries. They were sweet, crunchy and Crinkle cut. I don't remember being greeted, my order was taken to me, then she came to the table to ask for the trash, I think the manager smiled at me while talking to employees. Shake Shack has four self checkouts. It was sort of time consuming to checkout and awkward because, someone is standing right across from you. Awkward. I would definitely recommend the Shake Shack. I stopped by Shake Shack after a trip to the zoo with my family and had a great experience. The space was clean, with plenty of seating, and even the bathrooms were well-maintained--which is always a plus. Ordering was quick and easy through self-service kiosks. We were a group of seven, so the food took a little time to come out, but it was well worth the wait. Every order was spot-on and perfectly made to everyone's liking. For starters, the entire place was absolutely filthy. There were several employees standing around with full trash bins and dirty tables. The floor was very dirty and had that stickiness of a movie theater. Not a great look Shake Shack! The employees were not interacting with customers and when asked for help they were hesitant and dismissive. The food was the usual "pretty good". Place was so good we had to come back twice. Customer service is king here and talk about clean wow. We came in 30 minutes before closing and the kitchen crew had the drill pulled out cleaning behind it. There was another lady wiping down the tables with disinfectant wipes. The customer service was awesome the people working the from make sure you get exactly what you want and they are so freaking nice. Great staff here. I was truly excited to be invited to the Friends & Family opening of Shake Shack in Fort Worth. First let me say, for a soft opening they did a great job with timed tickets so the staff was not overwhelmed and there was ample seating. Entering you have the option to order at the register or at the kiosk. I assume this is to keep lines moving. But note there are lots of options, so first timers should go to the counter for help. There was a limited menu but we were not disappointed. We had the ShackBurger with fries. First know that pickles and onions are not included (no extra charge ) but you have lots of options to customize your burger the way you want! The crinkle fries were great, although a little salty for my taste. The burger pattie is thin, but the ShackSauce keeps the meat moist. The burger overall is on the smaller size, but tasty! The total cost of our meal including drinks would have been approximately $30 for two people. The staff at the University location were working hard to make everyone was pleased with service. Delivery time on orders was running about 15 to 20 minutes at the soft opening.
