I love Shake Shack! I usually just go for a shake (so thick and creamy) but their food is really good as well. Burgers. Hot dogs. Fries. All the goodies that wash down well with an ice cold shake. I really love this location too. The shopping center is new and clean. It sits on a beautiful lake so you can sit inside or outside and look at the lake. Only downside is the parking. Parking is kinda hard sometimes (they share a parking lot with Trader Joes) but it never takes too long to find a spot. read more

Sometimes all the effort is worth it, and sometimes it's not. Shake Shack lies somewhere in the middle. I stopped by around 8pm on a Saturday evening. The infamous parking lot was still pretty rough, but we found a spot within 5 minutes. Inside Shake Shack, the line to order was short, with only 1 customer ahead of us. After we ordered, we found a table, and waited. and waited. nearly 20 minutes later, my pager buzzed, letting me know my burger, fries, and soda were ready. That is quite a long time for something that is borderline fast-food. On to the food. The burgers are some of the best I've ever tasted. The buns were soft and not smooshed. The meat was super juicy, and the toppings were all fresh and tasty. Would recommend. The fries are so-so. I'm just not a fan of these crinkle cut fries, and I don't plan on ordering them again. I have yet to try their namesake shakes, but it's on the to-do list. Overall a good place to grab a burger, if you don't mind the parking and the wait. Nice inside decor. Similar price compared to similar style chains. However, nothing special! Nothing you couldn't make at home honestly. The prices to me are more than I would want to spend. We tend to go here quite often. Mainly because of the view..definitely go when the sun is about to set because it is spectacular. You can sit by the lake, or little waterfall they have. Their food is good as well and they always have a shake of the week flavor which sometimes it is great sometimes it's just a bit on the sweet side. I have had my fair share of burgers from several places and man Shake Shack is on the top of my list! Although it may seem pricey for burgers I can tell you that it is definitely worth it. From my other visits to Shake Shack I always get the Double Smoke Shack Burger! I love Shake Shack because they use potato bread which is a must and they cook their patties to a medium or medium rare, I believe which is a thumbs up for me and their cheese fries is the bomb though! I'm a little perplexed by the fanfare around this place! They certainly have an ok burger, but there are other local places that have MUCH better burgers without the craziness of this location (and parking lot!). I certainly can't say anything negative about our experience. The staff was very polite and took our orders quickly, and our food was prepared quickly as well. We tried the SmokeShack, which is a burger with bacon, pepprers and cheese. It was very good, but again, I've had better! My husband had a coffee shake, which he was was just "ok." The custards were very good, but a little pricey for what you get. One of my pet peeves about burger places is when they limit you to one or two types of burgers. Unfortunately Shake Shack falls into this trap. Sometimes I want cheddar cheese on a burger, other times I want blue cheese. I like to be able to add mushrooms if I want, too! If you're looking to design your own burger, Shake Shack definitely isn't the place. We'd certainly go back again if friends asked us to, but for going to to enjoy a great burger, we'll take Burger 21 any day over Shake Shack. read more

Not the worst burger I've ever had. I got the Shakemeister Burger with crispy ale battered shallots and shake sauce. The crispy edges of the meat were a nice touch (although I'm not sure how purposeful that was?) and there was plenty of cheese. Generally decent taste, even the cheap bun wasn't bad. I guess my major apprehensions with giving Shake Shack a raving review is the price. I don't know what planet a burger of this size or style is worth $9. Like just the burger. $9. Forget and then tell you wrongly which shake (of 3 different flavors) is what flavor when they give them to you so you and your party have to try them and then exchange them when you all realize you were told incorrectly each shake was not what they told you it was? ABSOLUTELY! Burgers are WAY TOO SMALL for $6 each! Cheese Fries are frozen crinkle fries with a bare minimum of cheese for $4 each! Are burgers better than McDonalds, yea but way more expensive. Better than a properly prepared Wendy's Single Burger? NOPE. Shakes have some interesting flavor choices and are pretty good but Shake Shack needs to double the portion at $5+ per shake to make the value proposition anything close to reasonable. This location is in an upper scale strip mall with a view of a Lake (which is nice). Temperature in restaurant goes from hot (wondering if the AC is really on) near the ordering station to igloo-esq at the back of the restaurant. The meat quality was suspect and the tasteless tomato slice defeated the flavor of the burger and mushroom. I had heard that people come here for its view and location rather than the food, but we decided to try it this past weekend anyway. Well, I can't say that the location nor the view are really worth it. Aside from the disaster of a parking lot this place has on weekends, the patio view was nice, but the atmosphere was chaotic. Kids running and screaming everywhere, music playing too loud outside, birds trying to swoop in close to steal your meal, and dogs hysterically barking at those same birds. Not peaceful, not relaxing. Onto the food... The menu is pretty limited, which is fine, but if you're only going to offer burgers and hot dogs, you'd probably better do them well. The burger was bland without much seasoning or flavor. The crinkle fries were decent but greasy, and you can find better fries at numerous other places in Central Florida. The chocolate shake was nothing special either. To be honest, it tasted exactly like McDonalds' chocolate shake, which is ok, but it's McDonalds and this place is calling itself "Shake Shack." I expected better. If you really want the atmosphere and the view, go to Hillstone. If you want a better burger, fries, and shake- go to BurgerFi. read more

Pros: Very clean and sunny inside. Staff was friendly and helpful. The two hamburgers were great and tasty and I enjoyed the bacon on mine. The seats have a great view of Lake Killarney. Cons: Pricey, fries a separate purchase but taste great. They give you a buzzer to get your food when it's ready. Considering they are more expensive than Chick-Fil-A and McDonald's one would think your food would be brought to you. Not a place I would go to on a regular basis based upon the price and taste was very comparable to Culver's read more

I am so happy this Manhattan yum yum is now in Winter Park. It's the same tasty food any Shake Shack fan would expect. They also serve beer and wine with one beer being a brew that Brooklyn Brewery makes exclusively for Shake Shack (and it's good). The burgers are always tasty and never greasy and I love the dang crinkle cut fries. The coffee shake I had was to die for. The restaurant has nice seating but what is even better is the outdoor area by Lake Whatever. One bad thing......the parking lot is COMPLETELY inadequate for the number of customers hitting Trader Joe's and the other businesses in that plaza. If you go on the weekend good luck with that. Plan to park in Alaska and backpack in. Or consider parachuting in but whatever you do, don't expect to find parking. read more

This location by Lake Killarney is really beautiful. You can sit outside by the lake and watch the ducks. I can't say anything about the burgers because I don't eat them. I am a vegetarian. The 'Shroom Burger, however is one of the best I have ever had. Just because it is vegetarian doesn't mean it is good for you though. The 'Shroom is fried and filled with cheese, but man it is good. Other vegetarian things: the shakes, shark attack concrete, beer and soft drinks. Couldn't give it five stars because there is absolutely nothing healthy on their menu. First- this place is gorgeous. Parking can be difficult but Shake Shack rests on a spectacular lake view with outside seating that is absolutely beautiful (especially during sunset). But... the atmosphere could not make up for the high priced burger that was disappointing to say the least. The burger was greasy (to be expected) but took away from overall flavor and again, for the price I was expecting something more. The milkshakes were yummy (they also have special flavors on rotation, which is fun) but again, the price you pay for a small milkshake that's gone in a few sips wasn't worth it... so meh... I think like $6.50. The burger really didnt taste good. I had a belly ache after eating it. It looks a lot like that another old burger place with initals SS or Steak and Shack. I would never go back to shake shack. Go to steak and shake their burgers are a hell of a lot better in taste and price. Shake Shack never disappoints! This one is less than a week old so they are still working out the kinks, but we could care less. These burgers speak for themselves! The double shack burger literally melts in your mouth and the cheese fries are great! They don't have draft beers yet and some of the bottled beers on their menu aren't in either, but I tried the shack lager and it was pretty refreshing. For the length of the line, it went pretty quickly so don't be discouraged if there is a line out the door. They have an awesome outdoor seating area overlooking a beautiful lake, but I would probably wait till it's a little cooler outside to try it out. read more

For a fast food restaurant this one falls right in line with a burgerfi, however this particular location has a view to die for. Grab a burger with a friend or on a date and head to the back to watch the sunset and drink your beer. They are also dog friendly offering ice-cream selections for the pup. They share the lake with Hillstone, and thus have the same view, and if you're not wanting to spend a ton and be on the water, this is a great option. read more

Shake Shack is the burger chain I'd like to love - but which never lives up to my hopes. This was my fifth trip to the Winter Park location. I ordered the Shake Shack double. It came piping hot. The bun was perfect. The problem was the level of grease. It was literally dripping with fat. I don't like a completely dry burger, but in this case the lower half of the bun was soggy with grease. The taste was quite good, if a little salty. All in all, an average "gourmet" burger. I prefer Five Guys. read more

This location opened on July 30. The difficult part was parking. It is in the same plaza as Trader Joe's... it is a nightmare no matter what time it is! The line went out the door and along the front of Shake Shack. It was about 20 minutes to order, and another 10 minutes for our food to be ready. We had a similar experience when we visited a Shake Shack in NY, so the wait was not a surprise to us. There is a separate line "C-Line" for cold items... shakes, custards, etc. We sat indoors, and the table has etching of Shake Shack logo, as well as info advising that the table material used to be bowling alley flooring... very cool! Besides the indoor seating, there is an outdoor patio with seating around a fire pit, a game table, and also along Lake Killarney. Food was very fresh, hot, and tasty. Fries are crinkle cut.
