Heard so much about Shake Shack being a great chain but my experience has been pretty bad. This has happened at two different locations. The food was cold, the burgers were bland but very salty, the fries were soggy, and the cheese sauce doesn't taste like cheese at all. Not a huge fan...after all the hype I've heard, I didn't really love this burger. I got a cheeseburger, fries and a chocolate shake. The shake was super thick and seemed like they didn't quite mix the chocolate in enough, still good. Fries are crinkle cut and they were crispy and fresh. The burger was just a burger, imo. Seems like the cool thing lately is a potato roll and some 'secret' sauce so this wasn't very special or life-changing, really. The location is BEAUTIFUL, though. This location is in the plaza that has Trader Joe's as well, so if you're in the winter park area this would be the closest location for a hamburger fix. I typically get the single Shack Burger which is around $5.59 and you have to pay extra for the fries which are the crinkle crispy fries. They have a variety of burgers to your taste and with the fries you can also add cheese and bacon at an added charge. The area is very nice there is indoor and outdoor seating, outdoor seating does have the ping pong table if you want to bring family and friends to hang out. It is also very nice when you go around sunset time cause you can see the sun set against the lake that is located behind Shake Shack which creates such a serene end to the night. Although I do love Shake Shack I wish the burgers and fries had a combined price and not so overpriced and that the burgers weren't so small! read more

This location is very special for the view! I can come here just for a quick bite just for the view of the lake. I'm sure many reviews point at their lack of parking.... which we can only point at the engineers/planners not the businesses in the area. Service here is spotty. Towards the end of the day it seems everyone just wants to get home. But I wouldn't even focus on that because it's mostly about the food here. I've been to different locations so I know the menu is basic and I appreciate that, as you can modify most things and make it your own. Food is high quality and I would never complain about lovely food. Their bacon fries ?? Wow. I don't remember ever eating that. And I hope it's to stay on their menu!! Tastes like freshly cooked bacon with a thick layer of cheese sauce on their standard crinkle friiieeeess woooowooo. I'll be back for you bacon cheese fries ... ! But my issue is that whenever I go I seem to always spend almost 20$ on myself and I'm thinking... what am I buying ?? We were 4th in line and it took a full 15 minutes to give our order to the lone cashier (not her fault; the fault of the morons ordering who waited in line for 15 minutes in front of us and never bothered to look at the menu ON THE WALL!) - then we were told it would be another 15 minutes for the food due to the backlog, so we took a number and waited (we weren't the lead bit upset about either wait, but the people in front of us were absurdly annoying and had 50 questions - then needed instructions - 3 times - on how to swipe their credit card. I mentioned the cashier's attitude and smiled and thanked her and the floor/shift supervisor for her sweet disposition. We got our food to go, and (I stupidly) said, "no receipt." Checked my change then wondered what the heck happened to my $50 bill. Live and learn. Before we left we noted we had no straws; asked for and received those. Noted our shakes were not marked - asked which was which; he took them back to ask the shake guy. The fries and order/cashier service were 5-star; the kitchen prep was a (probably overly generous) 3. My coworkers and I love coming to Shake Shack. It seems to be a staple in our office for food during the work week. I will warn you, parking can be a little tricky as they share a lot with both Trader Joes and several other businesses. We just always try to beat the lunch crowd or take a late lunch and it's usually fine. There's plenty of seating inside with long booths for larger parties as well as outdoor seating overlooking the lake. The service is very quick and the food is good for a quick service burger joint. My go-to is the shack burger with cheese fries (cheese on the side). Love their shake sauce that's added to burgers. Their milkshakes are pretty plain compared to other offerings in the area so I usually skip on it. Overall a solid burger restaurant and a great addition to the WP community. read more

I will be straight up and admit that I ordered a Shake Shake Burger and a Chicken Sandwich because I literally couldn't decide and really wanted to enjoy a crispy yet juicy and tender chicken sandwich topped with the most delicious pickles with a garlic herb cream sauce. I'm glad I got it because it was nothing short of AMAZING. And how can you not get a burger at Shake Shack?! The burger is just so good!! I love the Shack sauce and the meat is just so flavorful and tender! Normally, I don't usually order fries when I'm further than a 3-5 minute drive from home but I had high hopes that even though the fries wouldn't be hot, or even warm, that they would remain crispy. The well done fries I ordered were not hot but they were so crispy that I didn't even care that they were cold and my mother exclaimed that the only place I am ever to order fries to go again is only from Shake Shack. A few things I was grateful for on today: another birthday, a day off, my brother accompanying me, Shack Shake and their Hot Chick'n sandwich. Ah yes, what a day, a day I won't forgot. Maybe one day I'll venture into a shake) I heard about this new Hot Chick'n that SS was promoting for a limited time a few years ago. It seems this sandwich is permanently on the menu now and for that, I'm grateful! Once my brother and I arrived to the restaurant, I knew what I was getting the Hot Chick'n but little did I know my experience would be elevated. I spoke with Andrea, our server, for a bit and asked what was the "hot" and "extra hot" option. Extra hot allows you to get four shakes of guajillo/cayenne blend on the top and bottom of heat on your sandwich. Uh, yes please!! If you're one who enjoys elevating your body temp or getting rid of a cold, this would be the sandwich for you to try. Ok, it's not that hot. It comes with pickles and slaw, you're able to add onions, cherry peppers, extra cayenne dust, whatever your preference. I was impressed, so much so I wanted to buy another and have the same experience. The chicken was plump and juicy, the skin crunchy, you could see the spices through the meat. I'm ready to gas up and head back down. After finding out where my brother and I had traveled, Andrea was shocked and just couldn't believe the distance traveled. In the event someone from corporate reads this review, if at all possible, consider building a location in Jacksonville. Northeast Florida deserves an establishment! The main issue I see here is parking is horrible. Is in the Trader Joe's plaza, enough said. Back to the food, burgers and buns are ok served in open paper wraps which they should come in a box, the picture is better than what you get, overpriced no doubt, fries are soggy and the milkshake is water down. Avoid any spicy food option or your will get and explosion of pepper and red peppers, moderation is key with those please. If you're looking for a burger that's worth the price go north to Sanford's Red Robin instead better burgers, excellent fries and real milk shakes. Try that shake stack at your own risk if you want to part with your money and deal with this overhyped establishment. read more

We have been to this location a couple times over the years and I really enjoyed it before. On this visit we were driving through and randomly chose to stop in. They had dining in and outside seating. There were markers for social distancing with dividers at the checkout. The employees were all wearing masks and were still friendly and helpful. The menu has changed since I was last here and I was a bit disappointed they no longer had the Chicago dog on the menu. I asked for a side of shack sauce with my order last night and this is the amount I was given. I thought this was a pretty unacceptable amount so I politely asked the woman who gave me my order for another side. She went back to the kitchen to ask and I saw the staff talking and I could hear her say "she's literally standing right there behind me" as other staff members were laughing. I found this to be incredibly rude. If they had given an appropriate amount of sauce in the first place I wouldn't have had to ask for a second. When she came back they had given me a container filled to the brim and overflowing, which in my opinion seemed petty. It is an open kitchen concept so you see them cooking. I just got a shack burger. I got a huge paper bag with a tray with one neatly wrapped burger. Definitely A-Ok place for a burger. Like others have said, you'll struggle in this parking lot. We went at 11 on a Sunday and took a few laps before something opened up. There was no line once inside so all good there. Staff wasn't super friendly but not rude either. Burgers did take time to get but they are made fresh so no biggie. They are also really good. Bun is a great compliment to burger size. Toppings were all fresh and tasty. The fries were a miss. I enjoy crinkle cut but these were over cooked and didn't love them for the added price. It's very difficult to review this place on its food, service and atmosphere alone the parking here is atrocious, it's really unbelievable that this wasn't addressed during the design process. Our first visit to Shake Shack was mid-afternoon today (Saturday), after circling the parking lot several times I was tempted to use the valet parking, yes there is valet parking but as luck had it I found a space in front of Trader Joes next to the road the parking lot is so small this wasn't a long walk less than one minute. So now that I wasted a complete paragraph on the parking situation which I feel is ridiculous I will move on to the restaurant review. My first impression was this is a BurgerFi copycat and it may be I haven't done the research. The ordering process is simple if you"re ordering food get in the line that follows the wall there is also an express line for drinks and ice cream. Two cheese burgers one a double, two large drinks and one order of fries with cheese on the side $24.11 that wasn't shocking to me I'm buying quality right. The restaurant is beautiful but the seating area is undersized like the parking lot, factoring in the patio and the public chairs along the lake I'm guessing their still about 30% shy from having enough seating, so people are hovering around waiting for people to leaving like the people in the parking lot. I recommend unless you're alone send your partner, friend, wingman, spouse, significant other or kids ahead to score a few seats. I can't believe this would be a good option for lunch if you're working. This is such a beautiful restaurant! It has a coastal feel with Lake Killarney to back it up, literally! There's a fire pit, picnic tables, and adirondack chairs in the patio which further accentuate the theme. The inside is roomy but if there's a crowd, maybe you'll have to search a little harder for a seat. Now on to the food. This is a burger and shakes joint plus custard. The burgers are geared toward the more traditional side such as patty, lettuce, cheese, and tomato. There's a couple specialty options such as the Smokedshack or the Shroomburger. I opted for the regular ShackBurger with one patty. I really enjoyed the soft chewy bun and the seared crust on the patty as I bit into it. I don't know what the shacksauce is but I couldn't really make out what it tastes like besides its mayo with spices. However, even just trying on it on on my finger, it doesn't taste like much. I had a bite of the SmokedShack burger and that was good too with the cherry peppers. The fries aren't the best but they were not as crispy as I like them. Dessert wise - I've tried the strawberry shake and Key Lime Pie Oh My. The strawberry shake was meh. It tasted like melted ice cream - really thick melted ice cream. I think it's because its not real ice cream but they used custard to make it instead. I'm just more of a fan of the traditional way to make a shake. Although, the Key Lime Pie Oh My was much better because it seems like they just added chunks of a pie in it and the lime flavor really sung. I would come here again and grab a burger because its just too beautiful. I'd just pass on the shakes though. (one more gripe: it only has 1 bathroom?!?!?! TL:DR, Burger was sloppy. I love burgers and now being a new Orlando resident, I thought I'd give this a try. I ordered through 'DoorDash' since it was cheaper during check out somehow compared to other delivery apps. I ordered the ShackBurger (double patty's) which was $8.49 with Crinkle Cut Fries that cost $2.99. In total it was $11.48, but with all the other app fees and the $5 tip to the driver, it totaled to $19.38. Same exact order, some delivery apps were at $19 - 20 dollars without even the tip added. Crazy how many fees they add. Burger tasted good, but the presentation of it I think just ruined it for me. On top of that, you pay $8 for a burger and you only get one slice of lettuce? How cheap is this company? I feel like the 'Crinkle Cut Fries' were something you would get out of the South Florida Fair, they had no taste to them. As you can see in the photo, the burger looks so sloppy and ugly. Just based on other customer photos, people that are in the restaurant have better looking burgers than take out? Really? So on the fence about this place. Shake Shack has a beautifully detailed interior, and I like the Northeastern vibe going on here. It's all about the atmosphere. I tried the concord grape lemonade and a single burger with cheese and all the veggies. It was good, the bread was so soft and the meat freshly cooked. I think there is a huge emphasis on quality and consistency of what's being served, which I appreciate. I didn't try the fries, the frozen custard, or their special Brooklyn shackmeister ale. Maybe I would like it just a smidgen more if I had tried those items? Just a side note, this place has a small one person restroom for women and men (one each). When I was there, they had a long line for the ladies room and it seems like that provision wasn't planned well considering the size capacity of the restaurant. Just know you may have to wait. I really feel like the food is good, but the ambiance is even better. There is a back patio area with games and it's a pretty cool hang out spot. Like the style of the place and will definitely come back to try more items. The Shack Stack burger with a meat patty and a portobello mushroom sounds amazing and I will get that next time.
