    Double Malibu Chicken

This is another great sizzler location! I think all the locations are revamping their interiors because this one looks updated. The salad bar was well stocked with fresh veggies and foods, tables and seats were clean. I always go for the double Malibu chicken with a baked potato add butter, sour cream, and chives on top. The servers were all so friendly and attentive making sure we had refills on our drinks and cheese toast!

It's been a long time since I've been to a Sizzler, but it was my son and I this evening and he mentioned that he's never been before, so it seemed like a good opportunity to relive a bit of my childhood and check it out together. The ambiance is exactly as I remember it. The dim lighting, wood grain and earth tones, and a friendly staff bringing you plates and drink refills. The food is as I remember it as well, hit and miss on the quality of the salad bar items, as I recall as a child. The steak was on the small side, but cooked and seasoned proper, and unlimited shrimp for the kid and salad bar for me. It may not be the best meal you've ever had, but if you leave hungry then that's on you. ;) What really set the experience was the friendly staff. They were all friendly and handling business - clearly an experienced staff. We were never wanting for refills of food or drink, and they really were working hard to make it a pleasurable experience. This alone would bring me back. :) I'd say to try to come at off-peak hours at this location was it was packed to the gills @ 7p on a Sat, but by the time we left it was clearing out.

When I am in Los Alamitos with my mom we are going to the only Sizzler that I know is still open!! It hasn't changed: high value, great service, and clean! Booths are super comfortable, the waiter kept the drinks filled up and kept bringing us fresh plates.... The cheese toast is sinfully delicious!! Love the potato skins..... Fresh chocolate brownies in the dessert bar... Great place to hang out and graze....

Update time! Five Stars because they take pride in customer service, keeping things clean, food variety & taste. There's plenty of booths & tables in a warm atmosphere. They get plus points for the Salad Bar. Those of us who miss Souplantation will probably understand. I wish prices were lower of course, but the place is quite popular so guests must find it do-able, or at least worth it. Study the menu board featuring Steaks, Lobster, Burgers, etc. There's a Senior Menu with at least 4 entree selections. You can upgrade to include the salad bar so inquire about that. There's a Children's Menu as well. You can also join their e-club. The seasonal salad this time was Sweet Potato & Pomegranate in a dressed lettuce mix & I liked it! There are soups & hot items as well. You can put together all kinds of creative concoctions! Located across from Los Alamitos High School. Ample parking. Great for a solo lunch, a twosome or a group. The staff is very attentive. Oh, and there is that cheese toast!

We had lunch and the experience was good overall. The staff was welcoming, checked on us often, and kept our drinks refilled. The restaurant was clean and not too busy at 2pm. The unlimited salad bar had lots of choices and everything was fresh. We ordered the Steak with Unlimited Crispy Shrimp and the Malibu Chicken with fries. The fries were soft and tasty, and the cheese toast was delicious with cheese on one side and soft bread on the other. The tiny shrimp came in a large portion the first time but was a little too oily, so we asked for another plate with less oil and it came out much better. The steak was cooked medium rare but turned out chewy, which was disappointing. Aside from that, the food was just okay but the service made the visit even better.

3.5 stars 12/28/25 I dined at Sizzler today and have been here many times over the years, so I know exactly what to expect -- and this visit mostly delivered. I ordered the Malibu Chicken for $13.39, which was very good: crispy, cheesy, and consistently prepared the way it should be. I chose broccoli as the side ($0.00), which was fresh and cooked properly. I upgraded to the Smaller Plates Unlimited Salad, Soup & Sundae Bar for $6.99, and that's really where the value comes in. The salad bar had a solid selection -- fresh greens, toppings, pasta salad, and all the familiar Sizzler staples. Nothing fancy, but well stocked and clean. I also had a Diet Pepsi ($0.00). Here's the full breakdown: * Malibu Chicken: $13.39 * Unlimited Salad, Soup & Sundae Bar (Smaller Plates upgrade): $6.99 * Broccoli side: $0.00 * Diet Pepsi: $0.00 * Subtotal: $20.38 * Tax (9.25%): $1.89 * Total: $22.27 I received a senior discount, which I thought was a pretty fair deal by today's standards, especially considering how expensive dining out has become. Service was fair -- not overly friendly, not bad, just functional. Plates were cleared and refills were handled, but don't expect much personality. The restaurant itself is what you'd expect from a long-standing chain: clean, familiar, and comfortable. Bottom line: this is good for what it is. If you come in knowing you're getting a classic Sizzler experience -- solid Malibu Chicken, a dependable salad bar, and reasonable pricing -- you'll leave satisfied. Not destination dining, but still a reliable option.

My daughter had a softball game out here. I was driving by and was excited it has been years since I've been to a Sizzler. We don't have one where I live. It didn't disappoint it was amazing!! It brought back memories with the family! Food and service was outstanding! It's really big inside, lots of seating! I will definitely be back!!

Craving a salad bar so off the Sizzler we go! Consistently good salad bar offerings. Service is excellent! Today I tried the Prime Rib Burger instead of the usual Tri-tip Steak. Burger definitely was a disaapointment. Great bun, lettuce, tomatoes, and dressing but the meat itself was a bit rubbery, like it came out of a steam warmer vs charcoal grill. Definitely stick with the steaks!

This was my first time at Sizzler and I was not disappointed with my New York strip steak, it was well seasoned and didn't really need that my A1 sauce either. I ended up getting the build your own salad and baked potato with my steak also. The complimentary garlic cheese bread is worth the hype also. They have a decently sized salad and taco bar also along with soft served ice cream. Our waiter Beverly was amazing too in getting me more lemonade for to go. I was overall very impressed and I look forward to coming back.

I was in the mood for soup, salad, and something filling--and where else can you get all that for a great price? Sizzler, of course! I came right when they opened, and everything was fresh. The food was good, and the server was friendly and attentive. It's always a good sign when staff and regulars greet each other by name--it shows they care and build relationships. Solid experience!

Hot foods like potato wedges and some sort of chicken wings was not warm but cold. Spaghetti with meatballs, taco meat with taco shells and Spanish rice and toppings. Section for salad was there for salad . Desert was jello, vanilla frosty, and pound cake. A small selection of fruit which was watermelon. Some sort of pasta cold selection Employee who clean up our dirty dishes was consistent Overall. 3 star rating is fair for the quality of the food and such

    Such a deal.

We've been going to Sizzlers since the 1980's. They have changed, prices have indeed gone up, but they still provide a solid meal at a really good price. My husband ordered the steak AND lobster and a loaded baked potato for $32.79. Where else can you get that? Is the steak the same as you'd get at a fancy steak house? Nope. But come on! This is real food at a real value. I had the two shrimp skewer dinner, which came with rice and a side (I had vegetables which were cooked just right). We both added on the full salad bar option for an additional $9. The salad bar was fresh and full of options. The only miss was the soups; neither of us enjoyed the chicken noodle or beef and vegetable soups. Overall 4.5 which I will round up because everyone was so friendly and helpful. And the remodel looks great!

I came here salivating with such a craving after browsing Yelp for a great place to eat, which I…read moreusually do when I'm searching for something new to try. I came here for seafood, specifically their Oyster Rockefeller, because I haven't had it in decades. It's one of my all-time favorite dishes, along with foie gras, bone marrow, head cheese, suckling pig, and more. I was happily surprised to discover it's located across the street from my favorite studio, Mr. Inkwell's Classic Tattoo & Piercing. I guess I didn't pay close attention when I mapped out directions--a real downside of relying on GPS these days. I remember when I used to memorize streets, locations, and directions every time I visited a new place or traveled. Anyway, I digress. The place is fancy and spacious, with a market out front, divided into three or four sections: the bar stools right in front of the bar, the bar seating area, the main dining space, and an enclosed patio. The employees all looked experienced and mature, like they had been there for more than a decade. The three hostesses at the front were younger. After looking at the menu, I decided to start with their peach puff pastry topped with vanilla bean ice cream. When a dessert catches my eye, I often prefer to indulge in it first because I might be full afterward. It didn't disappoint. I took my time, savoring every bite. The freshly cut peaches had a nice bite, while the puff pastry was crunchy and flaky, with its very tasty cream. The vanilla bean ice cream was simply delightful. After finishing, I didn't want to spoil the high from such an amazing dessert, so I decided to take the oysters home. It's half a dozen. Presentation-wise, they're a bit underwhelming compared to previous ones I've had. And just so you know, I used to work part-time as a server at an upscale American restaurant at the top of a fancy old hotel in Long Beach, at a well-known authentic Italian pizza place in San Diego, at a small Korean bar in Torrance, at a family-owned Filipino restaurant, and at a Japanese fast-food chain, among others. Even with a full-time 8-5 corporate job, I still worked part-time as a server, dining host, and karaoke hostess. My three favorite pastimes are enjoying delicious food, meeting new people, and discovering new adventures. To continue, my biggest disappointment was that two of the six Oyster Rockefellers didn't contain any oysters at all! It's baffling how that could happen. Usually, Oyster Rockefeller looks bulky with build-up depth from the spinach, cheese, butter, and seasonings on top of the oysters themselves. But these looked dull and bland with a plain flat top. They also weren't that hot. It wasn't really appetizing. Two of them only had the adductor muscle (that round, fleshy part attached to the shell), which I actually love, by the way. So you see, I couldn't be mistaken, as I slurped the oysters only to taste the spinach, cheese, butter, and the little bitty meat muscle I had to scrape a little off the shell with a fork. There were definitely no chewy, soft, and tasty oysters. I hope it was just a simple mishap, especially for an upscale restaurant known for its seafood dishes. Hopefully, a member of management sees and reads this review and takes corrective action to ensure this never happens again. Please note that the usual price for great-tasting Oysters Rockefeller at a well-established restaurant is $30. This place charges $25, which makes me think twice. But then again, some of its dishes are priced a few dollars lower than most, except for the dessert, which costs a few dollars more at $15. However, I still enjoyed it so much that it doesn't matter to me. In life, there are always pros and cons when it comes to overall preferences. It is always up to you to try things yourself and not rely on someone else's opinion, which might prevent you from discovering new things. That said, I am willing to come back to try other dishes that look equally scrumptious and reasonably priced: Toodle-loo, my darling readers. Until next time.

The Pad Thai with chicken ($17) was one of the better dishes we tried--good flavor and nicely prepared. The cream cheese wontons ($11) were also very good and probably one of the highlights of the meal. We also tried the coconut dumplings ($14), spicy edamame ($7), pineapple fried rice ($19), garlic pepper beef ($19), and pumpkin curry with shrimp ($22). Everything else was okay, but nothing really stood out as exceptional. We also had two Thai iced teas ($12 total). The biggest drawback was the service. It wasn't bad, but it was definitely not very attentive. We would have appreciated the server checking on the table more often, especially during the meal. Our total was $121 before tax, plus $11.19 tax, bringing the bill to $132.19 before tip. Overall, I'd give Coconut Rabbit 3.5 stars. The Pad Thai and cream cheese wontons were the standouts, while the rest of the food was average. With more attentive service and a little more consistency across the dishes, this could easily be a four-star experience.

So I guess you can say, I judged the book by its cover. Being that this Sunday is Father's Day, but today June 16, 2026 is the only day that the whole family can be together, we did an early celebration of Father's Day here at Shenandoah at the Arbor. We had reservations but they were not crowded in any means. Chelsea our server was such a sweetheart. As we looked over the menu, we were served our Apple fritters and got our drinks. Chelsea got our entree orders and with precise timing, our salads came out. The salad was very refreshing with their homemade chipotle ranch. Since they do not serve regular ranch I stayed with the dressing snd it had a mild kick which I enjoyed. I originally wanted either the granny's fried chicken or Country fried pork chop or the country fried steak, but they had a special menu with a Pichaña Roast which I was going to change my original plan, however they ran out, so I went back to one of the original ideas. So collaboratively my two boys and I each ordered one of the fried items so we can each give the other a portion to sample. My wife and daughter both ordered steaks. As the food were served, we all shared a bite for everyone to try each entree. My wife's ribeye was delicious. She ordered it medium, but it came out medium rare which she doesn't mind and it was super tender. My daughter's New York strip was tough even though she ordered it medium rare, the cut was just not as tender. The country fried steak was thin, but it was tender, however not crispy. The fried chicken was a nice sized portion, fairly moist and the pork chop was just very dry. The food tasted good, the portions were great, the service was excellent. I'm not sure how long they are serving the Pichaña for, but I would definitely like to go back to try that.
