Taco Tuesday! We went here for Taco Tuesday after seeing the special posted on IG. Upon arrival the only available table for a party of 2 was directly in front of the DJ speakers so we sat at the bar. The bartender comes over and I tell her we're here for their Tuesday Happy Hour specials. As per their IG post tacos (ALL) are $2. So we ordered chicken, shrimp & steak. The bartender tells me the steak isn't included and is an additional charge. So I pull up the IG post which states differently. She's unaware of the post or special and has to run it by a manager. We ordered 6 tacos but 7 came out. I pointed out the extra taco she apologized and said we wouldn't be charged for it. Next I order the froze. The froze and the margarita were both juice like. Entirely too sweet for the froze and too much sour mix on the margarita. The tacos were mid, steak was tough & chicken wasn't seasoned. The check comes and we were charged the $2 for the steak taco, the 7th taco that I didn't order (the bartender was suppose to comp) was on the bill and froze that was suppose to be $2 as per the IG post was $13. I bring the price difference of the Froze to the bartenders attention and she states that the $2 froze is in a smaller cup than what she gave me. How would I know that? I showed her the IG post with specials upon placing my first order. Clearly if it's a Tuesday special and I'm ordering on a Tuesday that's why I'm ordering it. She said she would have to speak to a manager came back and said the manager wouldn't honor the $2 advertised price. I paid my bill and left. To make a social media post to gain patrons.... Patrons come specifically for said specials and then not honor them?! Such a waste of time and money. The service, food and drinks are subpar at best.

So this is my second time visiting the establishment. The first time I came I did their Sunday brunch and had steak and eggs. The steak was actually good and cooked to perfection. We also sampled some sides from the regular menu and they were so good that's what made us want to go back. I returned on another Sunday and did the all you can eat seafood boil. It really is a bang for your buck. The food was hot and fresh especially the sides. If it is one thing they know how to do its the sides. My boil itself was simply ok. It was a little too salty for my taste and the crab legs were extremely overcooked and and salty. While it was salty I do not believe this to be a normal occurrence or at least I hope not. In addition the crab legs in the special are smaller than the crab legs from a normal crab leg order. This time around the side that takes the award was hands down the fried rice. I would go back just to order this. The waitstaff is hit and miss. My first time we had a super attentive waitress this time my waitress was very busy as she was the only one and also she was working the bar too. And you have been warned stay away from the $5 Lemon Drops...they tasted like medicine. Not happy my food was salty but I will give them another try.

I came here at a friend's request for a birthday dinner. By that point, I had already been to other locations several times. I wish I could say something great this place, but I'd be lying. Seafood restaurants get away mid service and lil decorum simply because they serve seafood. Notice I only posted photos of the drinks. That was just to have something to accompany this review. I wasn't inclined to take pictures of the food; it didn't look or taste appealing. We didn't even take the leftovers home. Everything was overcooked and bland. There was a DJ, I don't remember the music leaving that much of an impression. Places like this don't seem interested in creating enough of a standard experience that would bring customers back. Instead, they come off as if they believe they're doing less fortunate neighborhoods a favor just by being there.

Went with friends for R&B brunch and I have to say was a good time listening to great music the service was a little slow not appropriate for a busy brunch time they needed more wait staff as well as bartenders waited long for drinks and food but we made the best of it we enjoyed the food and the music. Drinks could have be better.

Had the Deep Ocean Boil and Seafood Galore. The food was alright. Had the crab legs, crayfish, lobster tail clam, shrimp, sausage, potato, and corn. The clams had little meat and the lobster tail was very chewy and overcooked. The sausage wasn't great either, very thin and no flavor. The ambiance was relax and very busy with customers. Service was ok and it took a while to get the paycheck, utensils and napkins. The waitress was nice and enthusiastic even though she was very busy serving other guests. Overall it's ok

All you can eat seafood for $65, I'm down. Monday- Thursday, Shaking Crab offers AYCE for $65, 90 min time limit. The food was delicious. I ordered the crab legs, easy peel shrimp, lobster tails (extra but worth it), corn, potatoes, broccoli and catfish. Yum!! My friend ordered something similar but with crawfish (not her fav) and garlic noodles. For Halloween, they have themed cocktails. The Spiked Pineapple Cobbler in a "blood bag" tasted like rum punch and was well-made. We also had the margarita flight. The strawberry marg was the best. In regards to service, it was a busy Tuesday (yes this spot is lit on Tuesdays lol). They have a DJ, hookah, the works. Our service seemed to be the only waitress but she was nice. Menu Highlights: Lobster tails, catfish and corn with Cajun and Barlic season!

The food was good don't get me wrong but that's not for me. It's a young crowd and it's like Hook n Reel with a DJ. Our bill was ridiculous. I asked for the pouch to go but ordered a punch bowl for $26.00. I got the pouch but not the rest of my drink for $26.00. I think the owner is name Fanny. Please fix your prices and let people know the prices of the drinks. It wasn't worth $302.

Shaking Crab was a really life of a party type of place!! The staff and service was amazing , and for events to celebrate they really go all out to attend their customers. I recommend to get the best for your buck is arriving at 4-6pm to get their AYCE special as that's a great price for $45. Of course, with that price, there's not much seafood to choose from but it's very filling. Choices they have are snow crab legs, shrimp, mussels , crawfish and clams. You would pay $10 extra if you wanted a lobster tail or crab. I personally thing I was satisfied with the base set as you get a lot of sides like noodles, potatoes and more. One thing I loved were their $5 rum punches as those were strong. The music playing was a great choice but be mindful it can be a bit loud. Also once you pay, there's 18% gratuity included already plus taxes so that will raise your bill higher than expected. I would visit again to try their other options but it's a good place to go to in the Bronx! Check it out!

This Shaking Crab is more than a seafood spot, it's also a good time! The DJ is always rocking, playing great music and the drinks are delicious. I always order the lemon pepper crab legs because they're always so tasty ($35). I've tried the other flavors, Envie and butter, but the lemon pepper is the perfect balance of salty and tangy that brings out the flavor in the crab meat. I love their passion fruit lemonade and the Mac-n-cheese hits. I will say that for a smaller establishment, the service is a bit slow and you will find yourself waiting a bit to get served and receive your check. However, the waiters are always friendly and I've never experienced bad service. On the weekends, this might as well be a club lol It has a great energy to it and the bar is always filled with folks sitting to watch the current sports game while enjoying good drinks, eats and the live DJ. If you're just looking to sit down and eat and enjoy a quiet meal, it may not be the best place for you. However, if you're looking for a good time while enjoying your meal, definitely go.

Went here on a Wednesday which was karaoke night. My friends and I had a ball. There weren't too many patrons there so we took over the mic for karaoke lol. We kept ordering drinks, the server was so nice. I wish I could remember her name. She did karaoke behind the bar as well. The food was good. I ordered a kids meal which was very filling because I wasn't hungry much. Would come back again to turn up with friends!

There are some dedicated parking spaces that have a three hour limit if dining. Upon arrival, I entered the inside restaurant space for Dakota's on the Grove. It was aesthetically pleasing. I should have sat inside here instead of in their outdoor space which they call The Grove at Dakota's. I was able to choose where I wanted to sit, so I chose a table near this shed where the bartender/waiter was. I noticed they were setting up for the Knicks Game 3 final and there were two large TVs and a projection screen. I overheard the waiter state that the area would be packed for the game tonight. There was also good music playing throughout. They had a large connect four, which would be nice to play. They are family friendly and had high chairs for babies and toddlers. When sitting outside they state that they have to preauthorize your card. Now getting onto the food. I was seated and provided with two menus. I immediately asked for a happy hour menu and then I waited for about 15 minutes, until I followed up with another waiter who brought out the menu for me. For the happy hour menu before I received my food I initially thought the prices were good, but upon receiving my food it was evident that the prices are off in terms of the portion size of the food. I ordered a $5 slider. I thought it would be a decent size. It was incredibly small. For the $5 price they should give at minimum 2 sliders but ideally 3. This would incentivize people to buy more. The slider was the best thing I tasted while there and I would have liked more but I couldn't justify spending another $5 when it was so tiny. The tiny slider appeared to be the portion size for a toddler. I ordered calamari which was $9. I was initially disappointed that there was such a small amount. I was even more disappointed when I tasted them. They tasted very "fishy." They absolutely needed a squeeze of lemon and fresh cracked black pepper to try and balance and mask the taste. I believe the portion size for the fries was also off for $5. The fries came in a teacup. Fries are something that people tend to order to have something to pick at while dining and it would make sense I think to provide more fries for the same price. I also could not justify getting another set of fries in a small teacup for $5. I did not like the taste of the fries. When the sparse calamari, tiny beef slider, and small teacup of fries came out, I realized I would not be full and ordered chicken wings from the happy hour menu. You have to get a minimum of 6. You cannot mix the flavors. They were out of the dockside fire sauce so I went with the garlic parm. These wings did not taste like garlic parm. The garlic parm seemed like an afterthought, which was just sprinkled on the wings at the very end. The chicken itself did not have much flavor. They did not mention providing any dipping sauce. I asked for blue cheese and I had to wait for about ten minutes and then remind another waiter that I was still waiting for my blue cheese. They were out of the mozzarella sticks. Moving onto the drinks. While I get being outside and maybe wanting to serve drinks in plastic to minimize glassware breaking, I did not enjoy being served Pinot Noir in a plastic cup or the white cranberry lemon drop in a plastic cup. Each time I was taken aback that they weren't offered in glassware. I got the $7 Pinot Noir from the happy hour menu. A regular glass of Pinot Noir is $9. I also ordered the white cranberry lemon drop which is priced at $12 and is not included on the happy hour menu. The drink came out in the same sized small plastic cup as the Pinot Noir. I think once again that glassware should be used. When ordering a lemon drop you tend to expect a chilled frosty glass with a sugar rim, and that was not what I received here. I think the sugar rim would have elevated the taste profile of the drink. All in all, I really liked the outdoor area. I would probably only return to get a canned beer in the outside section. I hope they start to carry some sour beer options. I do not see myself trying the food again, with the exception of a burger (since the burger was really good.) I did have an inquiry regarding the pre-authorization charge and the final charge that I saw on my credit card. I called and left a message and the restaurant got back to me quickly, which I really appreciated.
