My husband ordered a Cuban chain from Shane Co. we arrived on Sunday to pick it up. We were told by the girl at the front to go to customer service in the back. Customer service in the back told us to find someone on the floor. We stood around for 15 minutes and finally someone stopped to ask if we needed help. She then went to the back and got the chain. I was shocked when it looked nothing like what was ordered. We get in line to pay almost $8000 for said chain and my husband could tell that I was irritated so we left. Why give our business to someone that doesn't value it whatsoever? I purchased a pair of sandals a few weeks ago that were FAR less money and was treated like royalty. The sales associate gave me her card and even texted afterwards to see how I was. At Shane Co, I felt like we were in some backwoods low budget store that literally couldn't care less about their customers. I highly recommend that you look elsewhere for your jewelry needs as I've had better service at Wal-Mart and everyone knows how their service is. read more

I was trying to find a place to get my wedding band and shanes popped up on Google and when i checked their website they had such beautiful stuff in price ranges for everyone! My husband and I are still finishing school so we have a very small budget (my husband said try not to go over $200 , he has obviously never bought jewelry before. I'm very unhappy with my experience at this Shane co location, and the sales associate Ashley, with her lack of customer service and professionalism.Myself and my fiancé ordered his engagement ring at the beginning of June, and we stated that our wedding was in August, we were reassured that the ring would be ready in a week or two.Multiple weeks passed, and we heard nothing, so I did a follow up call and was told that the ring wouldn't be ready until the end of August, which was past our wedding date.At that point I was upset, because if we were told that information from the beginning, I wouldn't have bought the ring. Ashley then said she would get us a replacement ring, a few more weeks passed, and I was not contacted about the replacement ring.I finally contacted the store, and at that point the replacement ring and my fiancés original ring were both ready the day we were headed to the airport to fly out to attend our wedding.I'm frustrated, because not only did we not get our original ring, we also didn't get the replacement.The lack of communication,left us with no ring for my husband on our wedding day!! While my engagement ring is absolutely beautiful, I cannot recommend Shane Co. to anyone due the condescending customer service I have received on multiple occasions. The engagement ring I have is very intricate and delicate and because of this one of the accent diamonds has fallen out 2 times (the same one each time). Both instances the diamond has fallen out after being cleaned by Shane Co. The first time they instructed me to remove the ring before bed or if doing any cleaning, etc. I have followed this instruction very carefully every day since. However, when it happened the second time the very next day after having been cleaned by Shane Co. the employee suggested that washing my hair with the ring on caused the diamond to fall out. I disagreed because I know for a fact that I have never once taken a shower in this ring, let alone washed my hair with it on. I remove all jewelry before taking a shower. When I picked the ring up the lady that gave me my ring suggested that I bump the ring a lot. Upon receiving my ring from being repaired the second time, which took two days I noticed with i got home that the diamond they replaced was black in the corner. I took the ring back and they said it could either be chipped or dirty so they placed it in the cleaner. She could still see the imperfection after the cleaning process was finished so she took it to the jewelry repair so that they could "take a closer look." She then returns the ring to me and as soon as I have it back I see the same exact dark spot and I said "I am sorry, but this looks exactly the same. The spot is still there." She gets out her magnifying glass and inspects it. Then she says if you still see it I will place it back in the cleaner. Once finished again, she brings it back to me and hands me a magnifying glass and I can still see the imperfection with the magnifying glass but can no longer see it with my naked eye. I tell her "I can't see it with my eye but I can with the magnifying glass, but I'll just take it because you're making me feel like nothing is there." She says "I never said I didn't see it. I was trying to help you by taking it to the jeweler for inspection, but if you're unhappy you can leave it here for one day." The ring is a gorgeous ring and they do have a beautiful selection, but their customer service has been quite bad every time I have had any problems. They have told me the accent diamond likely will continue to need to be replaced. I am thankful for the unlimited warranty, but I will always dread going in to hear what new way I have caused damage to my ring even though I am very thorough in my care for the expensive delicate ring. Also, do not be fooled. They will tell you this is one of two rings in like this in the country and that they do not sell the same ring at the same store. However, I have been in there many times and every time I see my exact ring in the store... Don't shop at Shane Co. read more

So let me tell you a story about my experience looking for engagement rings. We stopped in Jared November 22nd 2016 looking for an engagement ring. We got passed off at LEAST 4 times. We got swamped as soon as we walked in by 3 sales people and I guess whoever felt they 'clicked' with me most took me over to look at some things. When that person had enough, they grabbed someone else to help. I never once was rude or raised my voice, I was just not too sure of the exact thing I was looking for, and just wanted to look at the options with my boyfriend. We knew that we both liked a halo style ring, but I wasn't positive about a square shape or round shape, so we kind of just wanted to see the merchandise, and when the right ring caught my eye, that would be the one we'd get. I was asked twice "How do you not know what you want?"..well, sorry, this is my first and hopefully only time I'll be looking at engagement rings sooo I'm kinda new to this whole ordeal. . For a while, there was a younger lady helping us, who started off slowly speaking, then tried to pressure me and laid out 5 or 6 other rings and was like "Which one?" and I was like "Umm I'm not sure on these, I don't care for these styles really" and she was like "Well this one, look"..and her tone just started to make me feel really uncomfortable, so I sat back in my seat and looked at my boyfriend. She kept staring at me and made the worst comment I think I've ever heard a sales person say..."Why are you not smiling? This should be an exciting day for you. Are you not sure if you want to do this or what's the problem?"... I literally started having an anxiety attack, with my heart racing, eyes watering, & I got so choked up that I couldn't breathe and started getting really teary eyed. Why the heck would you question my relationship? That was so inappropriate. She then had a guy come over, after she got up, rolled her eyes & said "I can't help you"..(PLEASE keep in mind that at this point, we haven't even been in the building 10 minutes. Sorry but this is a huge purchase and huge decision, so being thorough to me is a big deal) This guy also tried to convince me of a Vera Wang ring, which I thought was pretty, but I wasn't too sure about it. He then suggested that he run my boyfriends credit to see if we were even qualified, which I found even further disrespectful. We decided to leave. I began crying in the car and wanted to just order a pizza and give up on the dream of becoming engaged. We left the parking lot and saw Shane Co across the street, & my boyfriend asked if I would be willing to try one more place. I gathered myself and we went inside. Long story short, I got the most beautiful engagement ring at Shane Co, and they spent about 90 minutes to 2 hours or so showing us all of their different stones, after helping me pick out the right setting. I was greeted at the door with hot chocolate & a basket of warm cookies, & ONE person in the lobby asked what we were looking for, then directed us to a man named Tim, who stayed with us the entire time. He was far more excited for us, and helped customize the perfect ring for me...in fact, when I said 'Thank you for helping us, this is definitely my ring', he said 'Every couple is unique and every ring should be uniquely customized for you. I just want to make sure you love it, cause hopefully you're gonna be stuck looking at it forever'. Tim asked me 3 questions about myself..."How did you two meet? What do you like to do for fun together? How would you describe each other in one word?"...and after asking those 3 questions, he said "Are you thinking Halo setting?" and we said "Uhh, yea" (like how did he know!?), and he said "May I see your hand?"...then looked & said "You're very dainty, a size 5 I think..yep I have the perfect one right here"..then walked over and grabbed the perfect 14K white gold halo setting, surrounded by diamonds. I literally shrilled in the store, it was that perfect. My boyfriend didn't even want to wait to come back, because he wanted to keep working with this awesome guy, who tells us that he drives from Athens to work because he just loves making people happy. We ended up with a cushion cut flawless stone in the 14K halo setting...to be 10000% honest here, every item we were shown at Shane Co sparkles had far superior quality than other guys. I actually use this story in sales meetings, to show what poor salesmanship can make a customer feel like...inconvenient, annoying, just a number, just commission...and the difference that being kind and customizable will do. I also go out of my way to tell any and everyone who is thinking about getting engaged to avoid Jared at every possible chance, & to go to Shane Co! If Shane Co ever wants to use us/our story, I would not hestitate..because being in LOVE should not involve a high pressure sales floor. read more

They lack the feel of creativity in their selections, to the point that I feel I could close my eyes and be in one of their competitor's stores when I opened my eyes again, there is such little difference. I think it's happy circumstance that we ended up purchasing our rings from Shane Co and it's only since doing so that I have become more and more impressed with their customer service. I hope I always live near one because our rings are white gold and they will replate them (?) for free when they need it, which research tells me may be every six months. They also clean them whenever we want. I know I will do this less frequently as time goes on but they are so conveniently located to both our home and work that it has been wonderful during the holidays, engagement and wedding preparation! I have so pleased with the education we have received from them that I feel like we are not only getting serviced but also valued as well. My wife lost the stone to her heirloom wedding ring. It was the ring her father had proposed to her mother with. She was devastated. I thought I would share our experience today in your store. We brought a 10 carat bracelet of my wife's with us to have rhodium plated. A young man was who I spoke to. He immediately mentioned to us that if they chipped or cracked a stone it would be on me. Ok..... I said to him how would you chip or crack a stone while rhodium plating. He said I'm just saying it in case our jewelers break something. For this to be practically the first thing he said I'm worried to say the least. I'm positive he thought at this point the stones needed to be removed so I said maybe check with a jeweler for me. If he didn't know a process for this it would have been smarter to ask someone more knowledgable. He returned and immediately asked if it was yellow gold????? Yeah buddy if you cannot tell this what on earth are you doing here. The next thing he said was we don't warranty it lasting. I let him know that's fine I know it will fade and need to be plated again but then he immediately followed it up with if we break it it's on you. I mentioned I've never had a jeweler need to warm so much of them destroying things. He mentioned it was worst case and I informed him I was currently witnessing worst case. I told him I didn't feel safe giving anything to them and chose another jeweler in the area. I would suggest training your people better or asking having them ask for help if they obviously don't know a process for something. read more

I was in here yesterday shopping around, just seeing what Shane Co had to offer. Now I've heard excellent things, but this was so much better than what I had expected. I had a certain budget in mind and the sales associate who helped me, Michael, made sure to keep that in mind and do what he could to help me find the right ring for my girl and for my budget. Now when things started to look down like it wasn't going to happen he completely fixed it and got me exactly what I needed. He was upbeat, informative, and very polite. He answered all of my questions and showed me different styles and diamonds with no hesitation or sigh of inconvenience. I've been in many stores ring shopping since January, and I left every one of them discouraged and second guessing if I was ready to make this step because they were so resistant with helping me. They kept warning me about other jewelers and trying to scare me into believing that they were the only ones in the state who were doing business the right way, much less selling good quality diamonds. I've had a continuously excellent experience with Shane Co. My (now) fiance and I went in to look at engagement rings and I have to say that we were pretty nervous in the parking lot. We were scared that we wouldn't get very much attention and that products out of our price range would be pushed on us. Man, were we ever wrong. We loved our sales associate, Jason, and have made an effort to work with him any time that we've been back to visit. He let me look around while he took my fiance to another part of the store to ask him questions about budget, etc. He spent a really long time with us letting me try on everything I was interested in and finding rings that he thought I'd love as he became more familiar with my style. He also brought out different cuts and shapes of solitaires for me to look at so I could decide which I liked best. Fast forward to now and I LOVE the ring that I ended up with. (I also love that it came with my fiance, but that's not something for this review). I feel like they did such a great job educating us about the product and really went the extra mile to make sure that we got exactly what we wanted. I recently had my ring re-sized (it'd always been a bit big) and it was ready in two days. Unfortunately, we'd overshot a bit and it became too small, but they immediately fixed it for me to an intermediate size without any hassle at all. We also shopped at Shane for our wedding bands and are extremely happy with that experience as well. read more
