It didn't take long to get through the line and I could tell how genuine and personable the staff were with each customer. When it was my turn, I explained what I needed, and the gentleman said that I don't need to waste my money and he gave me some steps to do to charge the watch back up again. I went home and told my husband, he thought I was crazy! But I followed the steps and the watch is good as new! The staff member I spoke with talked about what a super neat watch this is. My husband purchased my engagement ring for me a little over a year ago from Shane Co. My wedding band however is from Jared. We also shopped at Genesis but did not purchase after the sales consultant became very nasty when we said we wanted to take some time to think about it. Shane Co was, and continues to be, a wonderful place to do business. My two favorite things are that we are remembered every time we come in for a cleaning or inspection and how hard they work to make you feel secure about your diamond. Every time my ring is taken back for cleaning, or left for resizing, they let me look at my diamond through a loupe, and they themselves document every aspect of my diamond. My ring is then authenticated again when I pick it up. The sales team seems genuinely interested in educating their customers and making sure they are satisfied for life, not just for the initial sale. Although I love my wedding band, I do not get near the same care and attention at Jared. The first diamond I picked out (and had even put a deposit on) was from Jared. Later, Matt from Shane Co had worked very hard to have a diamond I might like shipped to the Franklin store from another Shane Co for me to look at. Thankfully, I decided on the diamond from Shane Co instead of the one I had a deposit on at Jared. When I informed Jared of my decision, they came down drastically on the price of the original diamond in order to attempt to keep the sale. They even tried to offer me one of their star 'Peerless' diamonds for a significantly reduced rate, but neither of those options compared with the diamond Matt had found for me at Shane Co. To put it simply, Jared is a very typical and average jewelry store. For a typical and average experience, go there. For a much better experience, where you are treated like family and meant to feel secure for the life of your diamond, go to Shane Co. You won't be disappointed. read more

We have been to Shane Co in Atlanta and Nashville in the last two months. We were very impressed by the quality of their diamond ring, big selection and their incomparable service., I am very glad that sales person Frank in Shane Atlanta understanding my expectation quickly and accurately to narrow down my search range. ( at that time I myself didn't know what I like and what's in the market). And the sales lady Sammy in Shane Nashville really impressed us in our long diamond journey. Because of the not small budget, I have been very cautious, probably too much. :-)) To start self-education for a big purchase, I have done a lottttttttt of homework online and knew quite a lot about diamond gradually, but as said, the more you read, the more difficult to find the one. At some points I am very clear of my expectation and sometimes I am very confused and stressed of what I want to get and what I might need to ignore.... We couple, me and my friend, we couple again, paid three visits to the store and each time Sammy spent hours and hours answering our questions ,helping me trying different things, trying to get the best fit for me. when we left the store, she called us afterwards days later after searching from different resources of the diamond to meet our specific requirement . She did a lot of efforts to search and when our answer was No, she kept looking and recommending more better deals... She did go extra miles to look for my thing and trying her best to offer the BEST service to her customer. She won our trust and respect because she doesn't recommend just for sales, if she doesn't think that's the right thing. I really appreciate the integrity and patience! I have recently been lucky enough to find the woman of my dreams and the love of my life. After doing some research to make sure I could make an educated decision in what I was looking for, I started shopping. I first tried some of the local chain jewelry stores, and they were ok. (3-4 stars by Yelp's rating system) I had heard the radio commercials for Shane Co. and decided it was worth a shot to try them out. This particular store is just over an hour from where I live so I decided to start online. The selection is incredible, containing pieces and designs I have never seen anywhere else, and falling into every price range (including mine). After narrowing my search I called this store and spoke to Ben, one of the sales reps. there. He was extremely helpful. He listened to what I had to say, was knowledgeable in his replies and, never once tried to force me into anything I either didn't want or couldn't afford. After some email correspondence, he helped me narrow my search to some specific options and made them ready for me in-store. A few days later at the store, I was greeted by Tracy, who picked up right where Ben had left off. She was an absolute joy to work with; easy to talk to, never pushy, and knew exactly how to help me in my specific search. At the time of this writing, I have a ring currently on layaway and will be picking it up very soon thanks to these specific people. To Mr. Shane, I have heard the things you do for your company, and I have seen the way your company treats its customers. All I can say is, quite simply and sincerely: very well done. To anyone reading this looking for a place to find the perfect piece of jewelry, I would highly recommend Shane Co. I would give them 10 stars, but sadly Yelp only allows 5. read more

My husband and I purchased my engagement ring (a one carat emerald cut solitaire) and our wedding bands at Shane Co. in 2008. We worked with Paula, who we absolutely loved. We had a fantastic experience each time we entered the store and the selection and service were the best we had ever seen. We have since moved away from Nashville and back to our home state of WV. I recently decided that I would like to add 2 half carat diamonds to my solitaire and create a custom three stone ring. At first, I considered having it done at a local chain jewelry store in our area (there are no Shane Co stores in WV). After a bad experience and an extremely limited selection, I decided to call the original store where my ring was purchased and see what they could come up with. I began working with Ben Wilkes, III and he immediately started working on creating a new ring for me. Within 3 days of our original conversation, he had found two diamonds that were exactly what I was looking for. Ben took the time to email me detailed pictures of everything and explain the entire process. He respected my budget and never pressured me at all. After deciding on the final diamonds and setting, I sent my original ring to the store and in less than two weeks, I had my new ring on my finger! Believe it or not, I trust Shane Co. so much that I did this entire transaction over the phone and via email. The selection, quality, and professionalism at Shane Co. are unrivaled. We had no idea they were outside of STL, where we always heard the famous commercials. As soon as we walked in, Gini greeted us and immediately took us under her wing. I took a bit of a fall, bent my engagement ring and lost a diamond. I thought about taking the ring to a local jeweler in Houston since there is not a Shane location in Texas. However, I decided that I wanted the original jeweler to repair the ring. I called the Franklin, TN location where my husband had purchased the ring 6 years ago. I was transferred to Ben Wilkes and I told him my story. First off, he asked if I was okay which was very sweet of him. I was totally prepared to pay for the repairs, but he said that they would take care of it. Due to the extent of the damage, the ring had to be sent to another store in Indiana and then shipped back to Tennessee. Shane also paid for the ring to be shipped back to Houston. I heard about Shane Co. on the radio and I had already shopped at every other jeweler for an engagement ring, without luck. I decided to try Shane Co. and I had the best shopping experience of my life. My first impression was that the store was very well lit. They don't have anything to hide with special case lighting like other jewelry stores. I love that the salespeople are non-commissioned. Our salesman was William F. A few years ago when we were looking for an engagement ring we went to Shane Co. and agreed the service we experienced wasn't the best. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon and wasn't greeted. My fiancé and I spent a while looking at the counter before anyone greeted us. I was disappointed that there wasn't any fitted rings to try on. This is what I had expected. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by Charles, who immediately shook my hand, learned my name, and made me feel like I was talking to a good friend rather than a stranger behind a counter. I explained what happened, handed him the necklace, and he simply said, "Let me see what I can do." Less than ten minutes later, he returned with the necklace perfectly repaired -- he had soldered a ring through a link so cleanly it looked like it had always been part of the chain. Even after fixing it, he took the time to ask whether I wanted a clasp added to make it easier to remove, but I declined. What mattered most was that he restored something I thought might be lost to time. When I asked what I owed him, he said, "Nothing," then asked about my branch of service and genuinely wanted to hear the story behind the necklace. He thanked me, shook my hand, and sent me on my way. I walked out of that store smiling and immediately called a friend to share what had just happened. Charles was genuine, kind, compassionate, respectful, patient, and incredibly skilled -- the kind of person you rarely meet anymore, and the kind of professional every business wishes they had. Because of this experience, Platinum and Gold Jewelers has earned a customer for life. I don't buy jewelry often, but I'm planning to return soon just to buy another necklace to support a business that clearly values people over profit.
