Went in this past Monday (4/22) and ordered a wrap. First off...I thought this was a middle eastern place based on the menu - NO! Don't let this menu fool you - it's Indian food that's marketed as middle eastern wraps/ platters. Their food is extremely spicy and uneatable. I was excited to try this place when it was getting built up. I think right now with it being a new restaurant they really are still working out the operational kinks. I went at lunch and got the chicken shawarma Caesar salad with 4 toppings. The chicken although flavorful was dry and could have been reheated chicken from the night before. I think I chose the wrong salad toppings but at first glance of the salad topping choices didn't look that appetizing. Lettuce was iceburg and didn't look the freshest and somewhat bruised. Hummus was strange color and lacked flavor. The garlic sauce was alright but has a weird sweetness to it that I couldn't reconcile. Overall I didn't think the food was amazing but I suspect I didn't order the right thing. I will try again in a couple months and update but as of now I think there are better shawarma alternatives out there. read more

Based on the reviews I was excited to give ShaQ a try, but unfortunately it doesn't live up to the hype. I ordered falafel and a chicken shawarma. While waiting I noticed how dirty the kitchen was and was surprised they did not carve the meat to order but instead packed the pre-cut chicken from a hot bin into a pita using tongs that were crusted with dried food from the day. Knowing that a hole in the wall, which ShaQ definitely is, comes with such character I ignored the grime and oddity, but when I got my order and dug into my falafel I couldn't force myself to swallow one bite. It tasted bland and stale (no idea how falafel straight out of the frier can taste stale but it did) and I was so put off I couldn't make it any further. I would not bother with ShaQ. Too many amazing choices in the area and with ShaQ the quality is simply not there. read more

The restaurant is surrounded by mechanic shops and looks like the odd one out in the locality. But once you are inside, it is neat (I really liked those cherry tree panels on the ceiling). The food tastes great, especially considering the price. We ordered the chicken shawarma and butter chicken platters. The portions were generous and there were three accompanying sauces. I really like the chicken shawarma. The butter chicken was too creamy for me but it tasted good too. The food is self-service and the people at the counter were very friendly and courteous. Tried ShaQ with the family and we all loved it. They have daily specials which include a free drink...kids loved it! Flavors are spot on and you can customize the sides and spices. We had falafels, chicken, lamb and baklava. Everything was excellent and the staff is very friendly. The owner Paul made sure to check on our food multiple times and we truly appreciate his welcome. I wasn't sure if it will be good or not but I had a hungry crowd with me. To my surprise , it was the best shawarma plate I ate till now, and I eat in many middle-astern places . Everyone was asking me where did I order the food from. It felt good to make everyone enjoy there food. Great amazing food !!!!! Keep it up. Went for the first time today. Ordered the butter chicken shwarma wrap, and it was delicious. I can't remember exactly what dish my friend got, but she said the falafel was very fresh and the potatoes were delicious. They are made to order, so while I like wraps I get at other Mediterranean places, I don't know what's in them so I never know what to ask for. The woman who made mine helped with selection, which I appreciated. There're a number of dishes I'd like to try, so I'll be back. (I suspect I'll end up getting my car washed more often, because they're next door and it'll be so easy to do both in one trip.) read more

Not happy with the food. It's old and not what it should taste like. But they do serve generous amount and nice service.

Their shawarmas are good! However, twice in the past month we got take-out from them and twice the orders were completely messed up (not a little bit - just seriously messed up!!) The first order was missing a shawarma (out of 3) and the other 2 shawarmas were not what we ordered. We assumed they must have given us someone else's order. The second order was missing 2 sides of fries (out of 3) and also the shawarmas did not contain the items we picked. Problem is, we always get one for our young son and he refuses to eat it if there's tomato or sauce inside. We specifically asked them for no sauce and no tomato. Despite that, it had everything inside, including hot pickled peppers. We always feel they just don't listen or care. So yeah, despite the fact that their shawarmas are good, we won't be coming back because it's like a mystery wrap. You never know what you're gonna get. read more
