Sharetea Bothell: Rude, reckless, and medically negligent I ordered a classic pearl milk tea with green tea--because I have high blood pressure and a caffeine sensitivity. Black tea is a health risk for me. They gave me black tea instead. When I calmly explained the mistake, the staff tried to gaslight me about the drink's color--which I never even mentioned. I was talking about taste. Then the owner came out and yelled at me, said my "taste buds are weird," refused to fix the order, and threatened to call the police because they were "closed." She offered a refund, then refused to honor it. I stayed polite the entire time. I flagged a health-related error, and was met with arrogance, denial, and aggression. This wasn't just bad service--it was hostile and dangerous. If you have dietary restrictions, medical concerns, or expect basic human decency, stay far away. read more

Restaurant apparently is under new ownership in the past few months. It's apparent that their putting new life into this Sharetea! Also one of the few that I know of that actually serves food, which was a pleasant surprise. Tea itself was very standard for a chain like Sharetea but in a good way. Classic chain for boba and this location is pretty great! On top of serving all the drinks offered by Sharetea they have food options as well. I liked the sweet and spicy rice cakes and is something nice to munch on while hanging out. Food I am a fan of the Sharetea drinks since they have some good quality drinks any location I go. The classic milk tea with black or oolong with boba is my favorite. The boba here is usually pretty good and soft and chewy. I also tried the sweet and spicy rice cakes (regular size is 12 pieces). Not that spicy at all though and more sweet. The rice cakes themself are a little smaller and thinner than what I expected by not too bad. It's nice to snack on! Atmosphere Chill spot to get boba from in the Bothell area and has a couple seats inside and outside as well. Plenty of space to stand along the counter space. Not loud at all inside. Pricing Average prices for boba. Service Service is good and fast. The food took maybe about 5-7 minutes to come out. Other Plenty of parking and easy to find. Fun local Boba Tea and Milk Tea place inside an old Starbucks space very close to Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell. I tried a Mango Mojito which was very refreshing with the muddled lime slices and nice pieces of mango intertwined. Very delicious! One daughter had a Strawberry Ice blended with Lychee Jelly and ice cream and the other had a Thai Pearl Milk Tea. We each enjoyed our drinks. We do wish they had the popping boba but they said they do not have it. I see from their website that this place is a large franchise. LOCATION & PARKING // It's located in downtown Bothell in a small strip mall/plaza. It's quite accessible and there is a bunch of parking, so don't stress out about that. The actual location of Sharetea is not as big as I thought it would be. There aren't that many tables to sit at. You have to be lucky with the time you're coming if you're planning to hang out with some friends. It's definitely not as big as the Lynnwood or Tukwila locations. DRINK // I got a TARO MILK TEA with PUDDING. I'm not going to say much on the drinks because the quality is pretty much the same as every other Sharetea I've been to. For me, when you go to Sharetea, you know what you're going to get. It's solid every single time! Is it life changing? No. But will you be disappointed? Also no. SERVICE // For me, this is why they're at 4 stars. The service was incredibly slow. I came during opening weekend so I could see a bunch of trainees behind the counter. Seriously, there must be have been 7 people behind the counter at once. I know most people are training but it took 15 minutes to get my drink done. There wasn't anyone in front of me! Sharetea has always been a classic, go-to boba chain for me! I love this location as it's close to where I live and the workers are always kind and friendly. They also prepare the drinks fairly quickly! I got the Strawberry Milk Tea and Strawberry Ice Cream drink and both were super tasty! It's Sharetea. Far more preferable to Kung-fu Tea but it's still a chain. Some days are better than others. The quality of the tea or milk teas are pretty constant. However, the boba, which is the topping I most frequently order, has good days and bad days. If they could nail down the consistency of the boba I'd give another star. The staff here are typically friendly enough and able to answer questions if you decide to order something out of your norm. There is plenty of parking outside as it's in a large shaded lot with QFC and some other businesses. Sharetea offers a wide range of fruit tea and milk tea options. The fruit tea can be made with your choice of green, black, or oolong tea. I tried the strawberry tea with no ice and 50% sugar with lychee jelly. With some bubble teas, you get to the bottom and there's no jelly left. With this, they were very generous with the lychee jelly amount. I still had maybe 2 tbsp of jelly at the bottom. 50% sugar was still a little sweet for me so I don't think I'd go any higher on the sweetness level. They offer a variety of sides. The fries are crispy and thin - like McDonalds but better. :) read more

The passion fruit orange and grapefruit tea is the one my kids always get. I have to say that you can easily get away with making it 50% less sweet. But it's great no matter how much sugar you want. Compared to the Tukwila location, it's relatively smaller in interior space and have less food options as well. I ordered the Matcha Green Tea Creama (not on main menu anymore. I still don't know why they took it off, but I'm grateful I can still order it!) with no sugar & less ice with herb jelly as a topping. Also decided to try the Korean Fried Chicken - spicy edition. Emily went above and beyond to make my drink perfect! The herb jelly was soft yet chewy - perfect texture; creama was delicious; & the matcha flavor is just right. Drinks here are good and consistent. Would be 5 stars if I wasn't for the consistent terrible bad service. The young employees here could use some customer service skills. Entered right when the cashier was taking a large order over the phone but after she finished taking the order, the cashier didn't even acknowledge me and walked away. Seemed like she was more concerned about closing down as she came out from the back just to turn off the food screen and then disappeared again. Saw five different employees in the front at one point and none of them even acknowledge me. When one finally did, he said someone would be right with me WHILE he was putting a mobile order in right in front of me that came after I arrived and then walked away. I was the only customer at the time and he could've just taken my order right then and there. Thought about walking out but one of the employees finally came over and took my order. Be aware that if you come in at a busy time, the tables will probably be full. They have fried chicken too, which is AMAZING! They specialize in pearl milk tea, with a mission to introduce the world to authentic Taiwanese tea-drinking culture. Their menu is not particularly imaginative, but varied and inclusive of all the classics. I ordered delivery via Postmates from this location, and it arrived quickly and neatly packaged. Their version of Hokkaido Pearl Milk Tea was delicious, with earthy black tea flavor that was enhanced by sweet caramel and creamy milk. The boba were tender-soft with just the right amount of bite. Recently I have been trying all the boba places around me as a way to past time in isolation, and Sharetea is the top of my personal rankings. I have ordered from Sharetea 6 times over the last few months, which is a lot because I only order boba once a week at most. Every time, Sharetea has gotten my order completely correct, which several other places have failed to do on the single time I tried them. Every time, their drinks have tasted so, so good. Sharetea is my 2020 MVP as far as eating out goes. Here is to a good 2021 filled with tasty teas and coffees! They have menus posted outside of their shop so you can browse in the open air, black taped x's on the floor for where to wait while they make your order. The menu is straightforward, you get the choice of milk teas, signature drinks (their mojoto series), and blended drinks. I ordered an okinawa pearl milk tea with half sugar and less ice as well as chicken nuggets in their sweet and spicy blend. The milk tea was good, I like the consistent recipe between branches. What blew me away were the chicken nuggets. They offer a utensil and mayo and I accepted both. The marinade smelled of delicious spices and garlic, packaged well and given in a cardboard box that fits it just right. Order took about 15 min to make, but I didn't mind.
