This Sharetea location is a bit hidden in the plaza across from Southland Mall. There is some parking in front of the shop, but there is more parking further down in the open area of the plaza/parking lot. This is a decently big location with plenty of seats, but it does not seem as busy, as it is always busy when I come here. Also, this location has kind of weird hours - sometimes they were closed before the stated time. I ordered my usual - the green milk tea with boba. Unlike most of their other locations, the milk tea tasted a bit off, as it could had been a bit sweeter with regular sweetness. I was upset they replaced the Union City location with OMGtea; gave it a try and I'd rather go a bit farther for Sharetea. Santa Clara, San Leandro, Hayward, SJ yass I've visited most of them. Right now, SL is in the lead for taste, boba texture, and service. Say hi to Vic over there! Hayward's new location is across from Southland Mall behind the tall 4 story building housing a Chase bank. It's next to a taqueria, Mediterranean place, and Panda Express. The same cashier took my order both times I stopped by and he does his job well: clear, efficient, has a "can do" personality while remaining extremely relaxed. He seems like the type of employee we'd find at a coffee house. He asks if we have a stamp card and is attentive enough to spot the two cards in my hand (SL shares the same card). I ordered 9 drinks for a fam bam get together 20 min to closing and he said we'd be fine. I did try calling in my order but no one was answering (# wasn't on Yelp at the time and found it on google). Unfortunately, they were running low on big pearls so close to closing. Small pearls saved the day! Finally! A new boba place that opened in Hayward -- About time! Sharetea isn't high on my favorite milk tea/boba list, but I'm going to keep giving it a few chances until a find a drink I like. They have tons of options and I believe only one size for their drinks (no small-medium-large), just one tall cup. I've tried their Taro tea, passion fruit tea, and today I tried their classic Jasmine tea, which they seem to call the Green tea? Is there a difference? IDK, but it worked perfectly fine for me. My boyfriend ordered the Oolong tea, and I tried it - it was pretty tasty, but I enjoyed my Jasmine tea a lot better! Their boba seemed a little on the over-cooked/chewy side but I'll take that any day that rock hard boba balls! Staff was very friendly and easy to small talk with, and we came in a few minutes after they opened so the place was neat and tidy! Sharetea takes over the old Subway location across from Southland Mall in Hayward. I had planned on checking this place out during their Soft Opening when, lo and behold, their Grand Opening weekend happened. There was a line (BOGO free on all drinks) so it gave me time to study the menu. When I got to the counter, I selected a Grapefruit Green Tea with Aloe Vera and a Taro Pearl Milk Tea. There was a wait -- crowded -- but worth the wait, as my drinks were tasty and refreshing. If I'm in the neighborhood and thirsty, I'd go here. read more

This place meets the mark for me. First off, they are one of the only tea places open before noon. That earns an extra star from me, (even if it's only a 30 minute difference). This allows me to have my caffeine still in the morning time to help me start my day. The boba here is pretty flavorless and that's really the only part that prevents them from a five star rating. Their parking lot is big and easy to access right outside Southland Mall so that's very convenient. Hubby and I came here after doing some shopping at Southland Mall. Upon entering, we were greeted by the staff. We placed our usual orders and waited. We were the only ones there at the time. The decor is different from the other Shareatea that we've been to. After a few minutes, our drinks came. I always love getting their Matcha with fresh milk and I have to say, this location makes it just the way I like it! Most other milk tea places I will order a drink and when I go to a different location they make it different. So far I've been to the San Leandro location and this Hayward location and they both make it the way I like it! I will definitely be back since I live in the area now. Service is great and quick here. This sharetea is also very spacious which makes it a nice place to come and chill with your friends and family! I ordered the Strawberry Peach tea which comes with Aloe but I added Ai-Yu to it. I asked for it to be 80% sugar but was told it could not be adjusted.. I wish it could be because my drink was super sweet I couldn't enjoy it. My friend ordered the Wintermelon and Lemon which was really refreshing, I might order that one next time. They have a large variety of drinks on their menu as well so you should be able to find one to your liking. Great experience and I will come back to try other drinks they offer! read more

Boba is mediocre but their customer service is terrible. It's gotten really bad over the months too. I had placed an online order and gotten a text of the order was ready for pickup. There was no one in lines and yet the staff took their sweet time to get out to assist. When she approached the counter she asked what we wanted and I said I was here for pickup. She asked the name and given to her and kept repeating huh? What? Yeah, we are all wearing masks and would be nice if you use your ears and not your mouth to comment. Its like any other Sharetea, but giving this place 5 stars because we're so deprived of boba here and happy that a very spacious boba spot opened up. We came here on a Thursday evening past 8pm. Not that many people were here but this place was very spacious; lots of tables and room. I tried the matcha with fresh milk 30% sweet and ice, with boba. The bf tried the cocoa crema. Both tasted really good; I liked my matcha with fresh milk. It was not too sweet and the boba was cooked just right. Our two drinks came out pretty quickly and the service was great! Unlike Union City's old Sharetea, they use a physical rewards cards system instead of 5 stars or whatever it was called. Unlike other boba spots, there are no board games here.
