Got: Classic Milk Tea with Boba (zero sugar), less ice Price: 4.75$ Value: 7/10. Not a boba addict but definitely a solid place for good boba The first thing I asked was, "dairy-free?" Lo, and behold... all their drinks, including the "milk teas" are dairy-free! TADA. I'm not the most avid boba critic or fan but I can definitely say that the texture of their boba is spot on. Chewy and warm in the cold tea, quite sweet though. I got my milk tea with zero sugar (you heard right lol) because I knew the boba would sweeten the tea a considerable amount. For normal people, I would recommend 30% sugar if you still want a sweeter taste. The flavor of the tea is strong and fragrant. Maybe it's because I got zero sugar that I could taste the tea more. I would rate the tea as good, if not better than Wushilands. I went during the Coronavirus scare so they do kick you out once you order. Came in 1/2/2020 Technically still soft opening since their grand opening is 1/9 but seemed pretty open to all guests! I'm so glad Sharetea is here in Westwood now! This is now my go to boba stop at UCLA. Got the classic milk tea: The boba texture is just right. The tea flavor in milk teas is strong and they are super accommodating in terms of sweetness levels. QQ Happy Family Milk tea is the classic milk tea with all the toppings. If you're looking more for a Vietnamese Che like dessert then get this since you'll get a mouth full of pudding, aiyu jelly, boba (mini and regular), grass jelly, lychee jelly and more with every slurp. Overall service and ambiance: no complaints. Owner was very friendly. Parking can be tough as there's only a few spots on the one way street in front of the store. There's complimentary parking at Ralph's or Whole Foods with validation or general street parking in the general area/neighborhood. Edit: learned from the owner's comment that there's free complimentary parking in the Broxton lot before 5! It's actually a pretty big lot. read more

Was SO excited to try this new boba place in westwood and heard such good things. My go-to is usually taro. However, taro is very difficult to do right, and this place did it really well! To be exact, I tried the handmade taro with ice milk. The way the employee explained is that it is blended taro with milk poured on top. I had tried a similar thing at Ichi, the other new boba place in westwood, and it turned out tasted like taro topping on the bottom with milk (I.e. not blended well together and 90%of the time I felt like I was just drinking milk). However, this place's was very well blended together and the taro tasted more like real, pure taro as opposed to taro powder that a lot of places use that tastes cakey and artificial. Went on the first day of soft opening at around 10pm. Line to order was short. They don't accept reusable boba cups. I got the Pearl Milk Tea - Oolong, 50% sweet, less ice. The boba was okay, good flavor, but texture wise, it was a bit too hard and a bit too chewy for me. The drink itself wasn't good. It barely tasted like tea to the point where I thought I was just drinking sweet milk. The wait for the drink itself was too long. They forgot one of our drinks, so we had to wait even longer. I loove their fruit teas! I've tried every single fruit tea from here and I can say with confidence that every single one of them is amazinggg. I especially love their mango green tea and kiwi fruit teas but all the other fruit teas are just as good. I usually go for 30% sweet because I feel the fruit itself is already sweet enough and with 30% it tastes perfect to me. I've also tried their boba milk teas and they're also pretty good. This Sharetea location is solid -- every time I've visited, everyone has been so nice and accommodating. Also, every drink I've tasted has been so good! All drinks come in the same size cup, which is a large size. In my most recent visit, I spent like $26 for 6 drinks, so it's pretty worth the price for how filling it is! It also didn't take too long to get all the drinks for a fairly large order, which is always a plus! I would definitely consider this a good go-to place for boba! read more

The mango green tea is everything I could've asked for! The boba was the perfect balance of soft and chewy, and they had a nice sweet aftertaste. As for the sweetness, I like to ask for 80% sugar at boba places, but that's usually hit or miss at the Westwood stores and I end up with something that either tastes like 100% or 50% sugar. However, Sharetea executed 80% sugar perfectly! It was sweet enough to satisfy my sugar craving, but it didn't have the guilt of 100% sugar. Mango green tea used to be my go-to flavor until my more recent drinks in LA either had an overpowering, artificial mango flavor or a strong tea flavor that completely covered the mango. Sharetea has just revived my love of the flavor, and I will definitely be back! It was a little slow today (I waited over 45 minutes), but that's to be expected since this was the first day. The classic milk tea stacks up close to CoCos, with the similar level of cream/milkyness to tea ratio. The flavor of the milk (coffeemate like) unfortunately over powers the tea. After Sip Matcha down the road it's hard to go back to the traditionally milky/creamy teas. During the soft opening expect lines and some challenges with the credit card system. Newly opened boba shop in Westwood area got me hyped! The place was pretty packed, but there wasn't a line and I got my orders pretty fast. Ordered the: - Peace kiwi tea with aiyu jelly (50% sugar) The tea was so refreshing! The addition of kiwi bits that gives that hint of sour flavor and soft-yet-jiggly texture of the aiyu jelly, was awesome (7.5/10)! Would've given an 8 if it wasn't so sweet. - Wintermelon with fresh milk + pearl (50% sugar) The pearl's texture was a lil bit tough to chew, but my sister liked it, so it really depends on one's preferences. The milk was really sweet even though we opted for the 50% sugar (6/10). The usual 50% range would've tasted less sweet if it were to be in other boba shops. Great addition to the Westwood boba scene! My kiddo wanted to introduce boba to her little friend, so we settled on this establishment in part because they were so quick to answer my question about caffeine-free drinks. It was a cold day and I wanted something hot, so I ordered the ginger milk tea with boba, and it was delicious - would definitely get again. Husband ordered the honey milk tea, which was also very good. Child ordered the honey lemonade with aloe vera, and she was very happy with her choice. Her friend ordered the Oreo ice blended with pearl, and she was also very happy with her selection. There didn't seem to be a shortage of staff, either. The drinks themselves were okay! The taro tasted roughly the same as it usually does, though a little weaker/not as flavorful. Giving a one start today because the service was horrible! The person behind the counter basically scolded me for not ordering my Taro from the Ice blended menu. Which is true, but the reason I didn't order from that menu is because it seemed like the only taro option was with pudding, and I just wanted a blended plain taro. So I ordered under regular taro added ice and under notes I typed in blended. He explained his employees NEVER read those notes. So I asked him, " then why have the option to add notes, if no one will read them?" Then he continuously asked if he can show me that there was an Ice blended section. I kept telling him, that I knew there was! I did not understand what the problem was?! To top it off I was the only customer in there! so it's not like the place was sooo busy that he couldnt take the time to "fix it" and his deliverance was horrible. Because Sharetea originated from and continues to be popular in Taiwan, the birthplace of boba, I was very excited to see that Sharetea was opening in Westwood. This college town is definitely turning into a little center for boba drinks! There is limited seating and not many outlets, so it's not the ideal place to study. Just come by and hang out a bit with your friends while listening to their KPop soundtrack. I like ordering the Okinawa Milk Tea. It's like regular milk tea but further sweetened with brown sugar. I have a sweet tooth so this drink is my favorite and I always order it at 100% sweetness. Surprisingly, at 100, it's not unbearably sweet. If you want a super duper sweet drink, try the Wintermelon. It actually shocked me cause of how sweet it was. I also prefer the Hokkaido Milk Tea here than at Boba Time. Kiwi fruit tea with aiyu (+boba): the concept really fascinated me. However, i made the BIG mistake of getting 80% sugar, when I should have gotten 30% or maybe even 0! Tooooo sweet. I really liked the kiwi bits, I wish they would add a little more because it's just a thin layer and it was the highlight of the drink. It's refreshing, but the tea flavor is not super strong, which makes it taste more like a juice than a tea. Overall, it was good, I think. Aiyu is like a jiggly clear jelly that kinda just slips into your throat and doesn't taste like much, but it is refreshing. Pearl milk black tea: to be honest, i didn't really like this. Compared to places like Wushiland at the mall, this drink tastes more like Tapioca Express or Quickly quality... maybe i've been ruined by my numerous milk tea experiences and am super picky. Came here at 9pm on a Sunday night and it was very busy! I think there must have been some sort of event. Despite the long line service was quite quick and I got my tea less than 5 minutes after I ordered. Unlike all other Westwood boba places, they do not accept outside containers here for some reason. Also, toppings range from 75¢ to $1, which is a bit pricey as far as toppings usually go. I got the wintermelon tea with less ice, 30% sugar, and regular pearls. It was too sweet for my liking even at 30%. The pearls were well-sweetened, but they weren't that consistent in terms of texture - some pearls were hard and others were mushy. Overall, Sharetea satisfied my craving for boba and wintermelon tea, but it certainly isn't the best boba place around (and most certainly is not the most environmentally conscious). read more
