Stopped by Lollicup in Ackerman today, 11/21/25 and had a really nice experience. The staff were friendly and patient, even with the steady flow of students coming in between classes. They work efficiently but still make you feel welcomed. One of the best parts is their Friday deal for Fall $6 for a Brown Sugar Boba drink, which is such a good value, especially on campus. The drink was tasty, the boba had a good chewy texture, and it's a perfect little treat to kick off the weekend. I tried the yogo strawberry smoothie and I personally didn't enjoy it at all :( There were large chunks of ice and the strawberry flavor was really artificial (that last part is an issue of my preferences). However, the staff was wonderful despite the crazy crowd and constant orders coming in. They're efficient and pack their smoothie and slush cups to the max :D read more

I like the weekday deals (discount for different drinks on each weekday) and I believe there is also a small student discount which they are usually good in reminding you about. Another boba study spot in the Westwood has opened up! What used to be Open Oven is now a Lollicup down Westwood Ave that just opened up recently. This place is a nice extra option in Westwood to study with free Wifi over boba. While it is similar to Koala Tea, it does have more of a selection of snacks such as popcorn chicken. On the hot Monday I came, I got an Almond Smoothie. It was on point with the cook of the boba, though I should have gotten it a little less sweet (Forgot to adjust it when I ordered). Overall they have a pretty extensive menu of drinks, though they are on the pricier end for boba; with boba most of the drinks are about $4-5. They don't seem to have late hours to study here like other places. If their wifi is stable however, unlike Koala Tea's, I think this would definitely be a spot worth it to drop a little extra money to sit and study in over boba and snacks. read more

Solid drinks if you're around campus craving for that boba fix. I usually ignore Lollicup when I'm in the OC, but have visited the Ackerman location in LA whenever I'm too lazy to walk to Westwood or am sick of Rende's drinks. I have been to this location a few times. The first few times I visited was when it just opened, the service was really slow and my order would be wrong almost 100% of the time. Of course they would remake the drink for me, but I would always feel really bad since they look really busy. This time around (about a year after they have opened) I ordered the honey milk tea with 50% sweetness and less ice. Let me tell you, I usually think Lollicup is just okay... BUT I LOVE THIS DRINK SO MUCH. For some reason it was on the thicker/creamier side which I really like and you could taste the tea in the milk tea! It was soooo good. HOWEVER, I did order 50% sweetness and it was honestly a little too sweet for my taste (I'm not a huge fan of too much sugar), so I think I'll order 30% sweetness next time. :) As for customer service, the employees are really nice. I think there are a lot of new employees because it's a new school year. I saw the employee making my drink while being trained (no problem with me)! Yay for Lollicup Fresh opening in Westwood! When I'm craving some boba drinks and some Asian food/snacks, this is the place to go. Environment: clean, well-maintained, and well-lit. There's soft jazz playing in the background which is nice; it allows me to enjoy my drink and study at the same time. Service: Friendly staff with welcoming smiles! Very polite since the staff member was working on another customer's drink and asked us to wait a second before she took our order. Drinks: Rose milk tea is a solid choice for me anytime and Lollicup helps satisfy my cravings. My boyfriend's Taro Typhoon is super bomb as it has pudding and boba for my chewing enjoyment (muahah totally took some). Food: Crispy Combo allows me to get three fried goodies- tofu, fries, and popcorn chicken! All were bomb and getting it in medium heat was the perfect amount of spice. Because if the Ackerman location has snacks and dedicated seating, I've really been missing out lol. When I came this last time, there was no line. Despite this, they seemed totally slammed making drinks. I ordered a mango slush. It tasted fine, although I probably would've preferred it a bit sweeter. Just another Westside boba spot that is meh. Maybe I need to switch up my order. The three people working were so busy that I felt bad for them. Then again, the tiny space probably can't take any more people. Not optimal. Still, the convenient location means I'll be coming back, especially for their rotating daily specials. read more

This Lollicup is located in Ackerman Union at UCLA. I decided to stop by today to get the special Taro Smoothie on Tuesdays which was really good. It was perfect in flavor and wasn't overflowing with sugar. However, this Lollicup lacks food and snacks like traditional Lollicups around campus. For a regular it's $3.00 and large it is 3.75 not including boba. I would give 5 stars but they ran out of long boba straws to suck up the boba which was a challenge to consume with a short straw. I was impressed with the service. It was pretty fast and the line was not as packed as other lines at the food court. I'm glad that UCLA decided to put a Lollicup here and I am looking forward to move boba in the future! read more

$7.25 for an original boba milk tea. They didn't call out my name and left my drink hanging at the counter because I said my name was "USC". Always a long line around lunch time and busy throughout the day. They give very little boba. For a large cup it was only 2 layers of from the bottom. I asked the Indian worker if she could put a little more in and she had to ask someone else about it, said it would be extra $$. Anyways, boba is squishy and not round and chewy. Old school cups with pop off lids and no Lollicup branding is what is used at this location on campus. It would have been easy for the worker to put more boba into my cup. The price of drinks here is comparable to 7Leaves, completely different but you are getting your moneys worth. Many UCLA students come here because it is on campus in one of the food courts, attached to a Wetzel Pretzel. If you want better boba drinks then walk down to Sharetea or Meetfresh in the Westwood Village. read more

3.75 stars :) It's good boba. Nothing uber spectacular, but solid and good flavored tea that actually tastes like tea (ie not too fake/powdery tasting like tapex). Anyways let's get to the crux of the matter: The PEARLS. The honey boba pearls aren't overly syrupy sweet but I wish they were a teensy chewier (they're not soggy but I like mine firmer). They have the ability to customize sweetness and ice level (which I am basically expecting for any good boba place). I love the daily specials. The daily specials features a different drink each day including weekends for only $3.15 instead of the regular $3.95 (medium size). They have good options like milk teas, fruit teas, plushies etc and are usually coming out with a new fun flavor like lavender milk tea this month. Customer service is good: they are friendly and upbeat, and are pretty fast and efficient too considering there is usually a line. I've never waited more than five mins. Also it's conveniently located above the main UCLA bookstore, which is perfect for students. I mean, what's a UC campus without at LEAST one boba place?! :) read more

I am a regular at this Lollicup location, and have probably ordered drinks from here at least 30 times. My go to drink is the lavender milk tea with boba or the mango green tea with boba. 9 times out of 10, the employees at this Lollicup make my drink perfectly. I always ask for 70% sweetness, which I think is the perfect sweetness level for their drinks. They generally give you plenty of boba, and I find the boba to be mostly fresh and of good texture. There was one time, however, where my boba was clearly old, as it was literally peeling and mushy. The staff here, however, were really great and quickly remade my drink. They apologized profusely. Another time they accidentally made my drink wrong and the employee kindly remade the drink and gave me a bigger cup size. Due to these experiences, I have nothing but good things to say about their customer service and about the people working here. This Lollicup is also unique in the fact that they do daily specials. For example, on Mondays, they have "Milk Tea Monday," where all milk teas are discounted. On discounted days, you can get a large milk tea or green tea with boba for a little over $5, which I think is a pretty good value. They have specials every day that make certain drinks a little cheaper (Thursday is Thai tea day!) I'm not sure why the Lollicup on campus has such a good review, so I'm here to tell the truth. Are the employees nice? Yes, or course! Is the boba good? Not really/ depends what you get. The milk tea always tastes watered down and the last time I got a "slushy", it was not well-made. They are too busy sometimes and simply do not have enough employees to make quality products. Will I go back? Probably - it's the closest boba store on campus and they've got specials everyday. But sometimes, it's not worth it. Just take the bruin bus and go somewhere in Westwood. read more
