Finally a bubble tea cafe where I can commit to! Living down south (Kent, Renton, Covington area) you have to commute 35-45+ minutes just for some bbt, but now that I have discovered this place, this will satisfy my boba cravings! I appreciate that they allow you to customize your own drink because let's face it.... Bubble tea has a sh*t ton of sugar and I definitely don't like my bbt super sweet. Sharetea gives you the option to add no sugar, 30%, 50%, 80%, as well as the option for no &/little ice. BECAUSE AGAIN, let's face it... Alot of bbt joints fill that cup with ice to the RIM, and you really only get about half of the actual drink you paid for. I ordered the Kiwi Tea, no ice and with 30% sugar. If you like tartness, then this is the combination you would enjoy... As for me, it was a bit too tart for my liking, but nonetheless I guzzled that drank down. The al dente is perfected in their tapioca pearls! No matter how delicious the drink is, if the tapioca is soggy, overcooked, under-cooked, prepared & stored in a rice cooker (AHEM), this will prevent me from ever, ever, EVER coming back! Yes!!!! Sharetea is my new fav boba place!! I never knew how good bubble tea could be until I took a trip down to LA and had the best bubble tea ever. I came back to Seattle feeling like I had to settle with Tapioca Express, Gossip, and Oasis (sorry for throwing ya'll under the bus). I'm thrilled that I can get good bubble tea on the east side with free parking. What I love most about Sharetea: Plenty of boba (and MINI BOBA, my personal fave) and customized sweetness. You can ask for 30%, 50%, or 80%. I believe they just assume 100% sweetness if you don't say mention anything. They also have lots of other toppings like jellys and pudding if boba isn't your thing. I've had the honey milk tea and the Okinawa. The Okinawa was a little too sweet for me, but you can't change the sweetness for that one. I'm so excited to come back. Has option for every 10 drinks you get a free drink through the Perka App. No need to hold onto punch cards if you lose them. They have a big option if you want to make a custom drink. Every other times I've visited there is always a long line. I'm not bothered by the line since the drinks are extremely delicious and worth the wait. The owner, Eddie, reached out to me after I left a review and offered a "re-do", which I thought was fantastic customer service. So, I came back about a week later and tried the Creama and my beau retried the mango tea, this time at 50% sweetness, which ended up being perfect. I really liked the Creama. It wasn't what I imagined based on the way the previous employee explained to me (I expected it to the cream to be really salty, but it was not). Rather, the cream was only slightly salty, but what stood out was its texture, a bit like marshmallow creme. I liked it and would definitely order it again. In the end, I think my first experience was based on their failure to adequately train the employees to fully explain the options to the customer. Certainly this boba tea place is a little trickier to navigate than the average spot, due to all the options, especially the default sweetness level. I come here whenever I'm in the area! Such amazing bubble tea, and surprisingly, the only bubble tea that has enough caffeine to keep me up for a while! I have now been to the grand opening at three different Sharetea locations! They are all consistently good. I had the matcha red bean milk tea, 80% sweetness and less ice and it was perfect. The free drink was a jasmine milk tea with 100% sweetness (could not customize) which was good but way too sweet, which validates my thinking that 80% sweetness is perfect. I'd probably be one of the few asians that doesnt care for bubble tea in the least bit. I've tried it a dozen times in different flavors and variations and simply cannot wrap my head around what makes it "great." However I continually go because my wife loves this stuff. Like crack she needs it at least once a day, twice if time allows and thrice i'm sure if it was closer to home. I suppose the leg up they have on the competition is that they use real tea as the base as opposed to flavored powders. I couldn't tell the difference. This is my favorite place to get boba tea now, hooray! I also love their coffee jelly option. I usually go for the black milk tea, but there are plenty of options here. I've also had their cocoa crema (tasted like a cold hot chocolate, if that makes any sense), and a mocha thing. And while those were okay, I'll be sticking with plain old milk tea, thanks. You can also adjust sweetener levels, according to their signage, but I've never done it (nor seen someone else do it). I'm deducting a star though because as much as I like this place, I do think their drinks are expensive. Getting one milk tea with tapioca (which is an additional charge) is almost $5 when all is said and done. At my favorite place in Houston, it's about $3.50 total for the same thing (and as much as I love this place, I still think my Houston standby makes a better milk tea). But I'll still frequent this place because it's pretty damn good. Also, they have an app-based "punch card"! Don't forget to take advantage of that if you're a frequent boba-er. read more

Absolutely love this tea joint! Once you open the door and step foot, you are greeted by employees with "Welcome to Sharetea!" The ambience is casual, and the customer service is great. Definitely trendy. The tapioca pearls taste absolutely amazing. They're much sweeter than most other bubble tea spots, and always cooked to perfection. Eddie (the owner) is ridiculously kind as well. He cares about his customers, and definitely knows a thing or two about customer service. I just witnessed him throwing away wrappers for a customer! I have been to this location twice now and unfortunately have to say that I'm underwhelmed.. I happened to stumble across the place during their soft opening and was greeted by a young group of girls (along with the managers idly waiting around). It was a soft opening, so I understand that some of the difficulties are still being sorted out, but the staff seemed very confused/disoriented. I ordered a Classic Milk Tea with tapioca at around 50% sweetness level and was pretty satisfied with the taste. However, what I wasn't too happy with was the price ($5 for a bubble tea??). Sharetea Renton just opened not too long ago and I have been here many times. I tried the Classic black milk tea and the Mango green tea and they were both so good. This is my go-to place for bubble tea. It's closer to home (which is SO dangerous) and all of their brewed teas are so good! You can customize it to how you like it as well which is a huge plus. My personal favorite is their oolong tea creama (which is a thick layer of cream on top with a sprinkle of salt) with double boba pearls, no ice, and 50% sweetness. It gives it the perfect balance on each sip. :) **TIP** I also love the fact that you can check-in on the Yelp app to receive 10% off your drink! That's basically an additional topping charge. And if you use the Perka app, you can track all of your bbt "stamps" thru there without having to carry a bunch of paper cards and forgetting them. So convenient! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly employee, asking if I had any questions. I was so happy that he was honest and friendly about something he was unsure of. I had the strawberry black tea with aloe vera 50% sweet. My drink was perfectly sweetened with a crisp, black tea flavor that was not too overpowering. My boyfriend got the matcha crema with red bean on the bottom. He loved that it was made with real milk. I have tried many of their drinks, my favorite being their ginger milk tea with 50% sweetness. The tea is fresh, and their boba is never frozen. I love how despite how busy they always are (the line is almost always out the door) they have never messed up my order. Pricing is typical of many bubble tea places nowadays ($4-5 depending on what you add). There's plenty of parking at this particular location since it's at the Landing. My only critique is that there is absolutely NO AC here. So you can just imagine how hot it will get waiting for your drink in the summertime. All I had ever known was that powdered milk shit. Which I still love, don't get me wrong - I'll chug that Royal milk tea in the can like my life depends on it. I went in to Sharetea solely because it was next to the theater I went to a lot and I liked boba. The line was super long but we decided to give it a go anyway since we had time to kill. The menu is huge - I panicked a little. I ended up going with a straight up, black tea with milk and boba, the original. Just the real milk alone elevated it, I was so impressed. My friend mistakenly ordered wintermelon tea and... it changed me. I CANNOT branch out at sharetea because the wintermelon boba with milk or crema is so good. OH YEAH, THEY GOT CREMA TOO. I am writing this like I am ranting at a friend, sorry. Sharetea is just super good. Sometimes the line is out the door quite a ways, but the people who work their are so sweet and just go as fast as they can - I adore them. If you get there and the line is long, it's worth it, get in that line. You're about to embark on the best bubble tea experience of your life. OK, that's a lot of hype. I'm going to be the unpopular opinion here and say that I think this place is just a bit overrated. I got the Hokkaido Milk Tea with pearls and my girlfriend got the classic Milk Tea with pearls. Both were pretty meh, with the sweetness overpowering the taste of the tea. Service-wise, the staff was not that friendly but, in their defense, obviously frazzled due to the volume of customers. Maybe it was an anomaly since it was a hot Saturday afternoon, but it took over 20 minutes for us to receive our 2 drinks. I've seen lines longer at places like Oasis with a much faster turnaround. I like this place a lot and one of the main reasons is because it's so customizable. They let you pick your drink what toppings you want, the amount of ice, which is crazy, and the level of sweetness. It's not just sweet or not sweet they give you a percentage option. I like mine at 33% with light ice. I've had the wintermelon which is great and the matcha green tea but my favorite is the OG tea. This place is small but really popular a lot of times when you walk by the line is out the door but not to worry they make your drinks incredibly fast you won't be waiting long. read more
