I was looking for a place that could accommodate a large group for a nice Easter dinner, and Shari's absolutely delivered. We had a group of 10, and they quickly arranged tables to fit us all comfortably. Drinks were brought out right away, our orders were taken promptly, and the food came out fast--and everything was delicious. Even though not everyone ordered a traditional Easter meal, every dish was spot on. Our cups were never empty, and every need was met quickly without us ever having to ask. The entire team was great, but Matti especially stood out. She was so friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a great experience. It's also in a super convenient location--right off I-5 and within walking distance of the KOA, which made it an easy choice for our group. And for all 10 of us, the total was only around $150--which is hard to beat. Great prices, delicious food, quick and friendly service, and a clean, welcoming environment. Came in for breakfast this morning with my husband I ordered the buttermilk pancake combo and a coffee our server asked if I just wanted the regular hash browns with that and I said " Oh it comes with hash browns? Okay extra crispy please. I think our server may have been new, she was nice but she charged us extra for the hash browns that I didn't order to begin with and were under cooked. We both got sick right afterwards too. The pies looked so good but we got some kind of poisoning from here. read more

Food: I ordered the club sandwich with onion rings, and both were excellent. The club was fresh, stacked high, and full of flavor. The onion rings were cooked to perfection crispy on the outside and hot and tender on the inside. Service: Outstanding! Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Ambiance: It reminded me of an old-fashioned diner from the early '90s. The lovely Bridget is our waitress. Bridget and Char were both fantastic - a well oiled machine. Our food was wonderful: iced tea , BLT with perfect fries, spring omelet (filled with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, cheese, avocado, green onions) with hash browns and fluffy pancakes. While on the road heading to our final destination of Lewiston, my pseudo siblings and I were talking about things we were going to do on the weekend, including the food menu and what else we needed to pick up. Few years ago some of them ate at Shari's Cafe and Pies (SCP) and commented how delicious the pies are. So we made a pit stop to pick up several pies. Founded in 1978 in Oregon, SCP has grown to over 85 locations in Oregon, California, Washington, Idaho, and Wyoming. They are headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon. We arrived to this SCP at 7pm and to our delight you immediately see the display case of various pies with an extensive selection to choose from. Prior to entering the restaurant, the driver specifically requested for pecan pie and we wanted to select another pie but had a hard time selecting just one more as so many of the selection got our attention. One of the female staff was so friendly and suggested we get their blackberry cream cheese pie not once, but twice recommended it. We were having chicken curry for dinner that night and was afraid the cream cheese might be too heavy so we ended up getting the lemon sour cream pie. The pies were packed nicely. After we paid for our purchase, we hopped back into the car and drove to our final destination. THE VERDICT: Both pies were both all eaten and the pecan pie was the first one to disappear. The people in attendance seemed to prefer pecan pie but for myself, I like lemon so I ended up eating the lemon sour cream pie. It had a great balance of sweet and tartness that I enjoy. For me, their pie crust was just okay. I've had better. Service was cordial and the restaurant is quite spacious. However, the interior could have been brighter and more inviting. Seems a little outdated. Overall, a positive first experience eating pies from SCP. I wouldn't mind trying other pies, as we witnessed a large selection of pies that got our attention and it was difficult to select which one to get. read more

The patty melt was big enough to make into two meals. The pie I took to go was coconut cream, and it was Tasty! We were able to charge the EV while we ate, thanks to the proximity to a large bank of superchargers nearby. The restaurant was badly understaffed and the server was a bit overwhelmed at first, as was the cook, apparently, because our food and getting our order taken and check delivered combined for longer than an hour spent. read more

Stopped in because we wanted a sweet treat. Restaurant is certainly dated, which may give it a bit of charm. Staff is friendly; service was hit or miss. Pies were delicious, as you would hope from a place with it in the name. Recommend their Dutch Apple warmed and topped with ice cream! read more

4/18/25 10:10 am, General Manager was rude and refused to reimburse us for the awful whole pie we bought. We stopped in the night before and spoke to a waitress who said to return the next morning to get a refund. The general manager had left early to go over to the Red Bluff. Roundup rodeo in was no longer at the store. When we returned on the 18th in the morning she was rude and said it was their policy not to reimburse customers. read more

Very classic roadside diner. It was about 100ft from a charging station for our car, so it was nice to have a sit-down meal on our drive up from SF to Shasta. No wait on a Friday at about noon. Friendly service. We brought separate food for our kids and they were very understanding about this. $45.08 total for two adult entrees and a dessert. * Burger - 3 stars Backyard bbq-style toppings; patty seemed store bought / recently frozen; good bun; my husband requested medium (after being prompted) but it was more well done than that. * Classic Eggs Benedict with stuffed tater tots - 3.5 stars Pretty generic benedit, but did the job. Hash browns had a good crisp, the extra $1 to be "stuffed" (sour cream, bacon, etc) didn't add to much. * Strawberry Rhubarb pie slice - 2.5 stars I was quite disappointed given all the signage that Shari's is famous for their pies. The filling was mostly sugar/syrup, the strawberry and rhubarb didn't seem fresh, and the crust was too soft, no buttery crisp. read more

Maybe show some remorse when a customer returns a piece of pie with a long hair in it. Obviously prepared by someone who doesn't wear a hair net. Maybe don't play 20 questions with a customer when they have a simply proven fact. Kinda like when you can plainly observe a giant hair through the piece of pie. Way to mess up the experience!!! Driving from the bay area up to Mount Shasta, Red Bluff seemed like a good place to stop and eat lunch. Browsing through lunch possibilities I came across Shari's, remembered their pie, and was sold. We had been a big fan of Bakers Square and was bummed when it went bankrupt during the financial crisis, but Shari's stepped in and acquired a few of them, having a similar menu and propensity for quality pies. I had the grilled ham and cheese with a side of fries. My wife had their classic breakfast sandwich: scrambled eggs with country ham, bacon, grilled tomato, cheddar and mayo on grilled brioche bread. Both sandwiches were quite tasty and the fries were great as well. A perfect comfort food lunch! On to the pies. You can get the pies either by the slice or purchase an entire pie to go. I had my heart set on trying their special S'mores Galore pie, only to watch some random customer come by and buy the entire S'mores pie! But fortunately some single slices that were available, saving me from second-choice-pie trauma. My wife went with the Key Lime pie. There aren't too many commercial pies I'm satisfied with - my grandmother and now my wife are both pie baking mavins - so I have high standards. But both of these pies were well-made with quality ingredients - and delicious! Service was timely and friendly, thank you Red Bluff Shari's. Guess it's time to head back to a local Shari's to try the one thing I didn't have room for: Pie Milkshakes (a slice of pie in every shake)! read more

Was looking for some breakfast near red bluff and decided to give Shari's a try. We were sat immediately. Got our drinks in a timely fashion. The waitress was very nice as well. I had the farmers breakfast - the eggs were good, sausage and toast were good, however 4 because one of the things I look forward to most with breakfasts is the hashbrowns and unfortunately, they just fell short of enjoyable to me. read more

Friday, 11/25/2022 - We tried Shari's Cafe & Pies restaurant. Address is 128 Belle Mill Rd, Red Bluff, CA 96080. This restaurant is right of off HWY 50. As soon as we entered the restaurant, you can see two waitresses busily working. Like 5 or 6 tables had a few patrons waiting to be serviced or already eating. There were several pie in the pie display case. All looked yummy. Upon arrival... Pros: 1) plenty of parking. 2) lots of pies to pick from if you want to buy any. 3) we were seated right away and given menus right away. 4) our waitress took our drink order pretty quickly. She also gave us time to look at the menu. 5) water tasted good. No metal taste or funky taste to water. 6) cup of Pepsi is $3.59. A slice of pie is $4.99. 7) from the time we ordered our meals, it took about 30 mins to get our meals. All 9f our dishes were good. The petite steak was perfectly cooked. Mashed potatoes, Denver omlete, fruits, toast w/ butter and syrup, Philly Rib Dip sandwich and pie were all tasty. 8) two stalls in women's bathroom. Bathroom was very clean. 9) table, chairs, utensils, cups, plates all clean. Cons: 1) it took a while for us to get our meals. My omlette was already room temperature by the time I got it. The melted cheese on the Philly Cheese Steak was no longer warm where it'll stretch when you bite into it. It was cold. But both were still good. They forgot to give us utensils when our meals arrived. Lol. 2) our server didn't check on us. We had to grab another waitress to ask for liquid refills. 3) we were done with our meal for some time. Our waitress was ready to give us our tab. She didn't check with us if we needed anything else. We told her quickly we wanted to order a slice of their Oregon Marionberry pie. Conclusion: This restaurant wasn't bad. Service was a little slow. But besides that, I saw the two servers tag team serving the sitting patrons, the few ones walking in, busting tables, etc. Food was good. Restaurant and bathroom clean. Pie was very good, but on the very sweet side in my opinion. read more

The two ladies working the front were sooo sweet and quick to get us a table. They didn't rush us while we indecisively discussed which pie we'd try, and our waitress even gave an extra scoop of ice cream since I said I was going to steal some of my husbands Although we didn't get any food (didn't wanna get too tired on our long drive), everything looked very good and we hope next time we get to actually try some of it! Went on Mother's Day. Me & my daughter's lunch was disgusting. We got the French dips & onion rings. Onion ring were burnt & sandwich was hard as a rock & meat was dried out. What can I say, Shari's Cafe and Pies is a national chain, though not as big say as Denny's or IHOP, but it still has that corporate feel about it. This location is located way in the back of the Food Maxx shopping center right off the 5. I suppose the good thing is, you'll know what you'll get no matter what location you are. Problem is the prices are higher than say Denny's or some other well known chain, but the food is not that much better. Nothing is really bad, but nothing sets my feet to doing the happy dance under the table either. If I'm traveling through on the 5, I'd probably pick Denny's over Shari's, as both are located right near each other. Denny's gets a bad rep, but the food is actually not that bad and the price is good too. read more

Today my husband and I went to have a late lunch at Shari's which has always been consistent in quality and our meal was indeed very good and as usual we each ordered a slice of pie to take home. Our first choice was marion berry which they were out of so we got coconut cream. Very bland with not very much coconut just some on top of the whipped cream none in the pudding, even the crust lacked its usual goodness. I'm wondering if they either have a new Baker or recipe but it was a great disappointment for us read more

I am from out of town. My mom is in the hospital. She can't eat/wont eat the crap they serve there. She is on a puréed diet. She loves baked potatoes so I thought I'd order a few and some potato soup, puree it at home and bring it in to her. I ordered on their website early in the day (AND PAID) for an 8:30pm pickup. I get there and the raggedy server said, "yeah we don't have that." I asked if they didn't have it ready but she said, "no we don't have that food here." I asked for my money back. She said no. You'll have to talk to a manager another day. They had my phone number on the order. Nobody called me. By that time I was too exhausted to go buy potatoes and bake them in 110 weather. This was the worst experience I have ever had in any restaurant. I am a restauranteur. I know this business very, very well. What they did is unacceptable and actually theft. They stole my money when they had no intention of filling my order and refusing a refund. Please go elsewhere. Don't support an establishment who treats customers this way. I was told by our waitress that she didn't see it at the counter or in the back ,had no clue about it. Their hamburgers are dried leather. The food is fresh, but the hamburgers is awful. Also, the eggs benedict is tasteless.

My husband and I stopped on a trip from Seattle south to California. We saw the sign which said 24 hours and pie sounded good we had breakfast . It was good and we were glad we stopped there. We each got a pie slice to go . The pie was very good . Our server was so nice and friendly sky . She gave us great service even tho she was very busy . It was clean and the restrooms were clean .
