If I could give a 0 star review, I would. This was, by far, the WORST dining experience I've ever had. The waitress, Wendy, was unfriendly from the moment my party and I walked in. At first, I assumed she was just having a rough night. It happens. She seated our party of 4 at a very small booth, next to the waitress station, we looked over at all of the larger, empty booths, but didn't complain. I understand that waitresses have certain areas of the dining room that they're responsible for; we figured those probably weren't available at this time. Once we were seated, she asked for our drink orders. I ordered a soft drink, my friend: a coffee, his wife: a milk shake and my girlfriend asked for a glass of water. My friend inquired about what "adult beverages" they carry and I directed him to that part of the menu, at which time, Wendy, obviously irritated that she was still standing at our table while we discussed their selection of 21+ beverages, stated "how about I just bring you all water while you decide" then walked away. We felt that she was being rude but still, everyone has bad days, we didn't take it personally. A few minutes later, she set 4 glasses of water on the table and walked away without a word. In one of the glasses, we watched as what appeared to be a broken TOOTH, sunk to the bottom of the glass. Several minutes later, I was able to flag her down to request a new glass of water, and showed her the tooth fragment at the bottom of the glass. This is when our dining experience began to turn in to a nightmare. Wendy rolled her eyes, took the glass back to the waitress station and I watched as she dumped the contents of the glass in to the sink then RE-FILLED the same glass, set it back on our table and walked away. We all looked at eachother in disbelief and silently pushed all 4 glasses of water back to the edge of the table and began discussing other dining options. Redmond has a limited selection of 24hour dining so we decided to stick it out. Several minutes later, she returned to the table, without our drinks, and asked if we were ready to order. We went around the table and everyone placed their orders, she did state "and you wanted the cookies and cream milkshake with that one, right? Okay, not completely incompetent but, shouldn't she have brought the drinks first? We still didn't say anything about it, figuring still, she was probably just having a bad night. I had a few of questions about what came on one of their burgers; she was knowledgeable and answered my questions quickly but when I asked if they would hold their "special sauce" and substitute with mayo, she advised me that she'll just put in on the side. At this point, I did comment "I'd prefer my mayo ON my burger but if that's the best you can do, I guess that's fine." Apparently, that upset her and she promptly walked away before I could complete my order. We all chattered quietly amongst eachother, mentioning that she really shouldn't be working with the public and how none of us understood why any establishment would subject their patrons to such a person. We all concluded that we would wait until after our order arrived before making a complaint and mentioned that we've all seen the movie "Waiting"; she seemed like the type to do something to our food. We made sure we spoke quietly, as to not risk being served any other "special sauces". Now, we've been seated for over 20 minutes, the 4 glasses of water still sit on the edge of the table, untouched, the ice now almost completely melted. We're hungry, thirsty and our moods have now turned in to a reflection of our waitress'. This is when I looked back over at the larger booth we were eyeballing as we were seated, now occupied by 2 patrons that arrived after us, happily enjoying the beverages their waitress had already brought them. This is when we decided to leave. All of us were so upset, all that was said on our way out the door was "you'll be hearing from us on Yelp". Once we got back to the car, we concluded that we will never return to this Sheri's. We then drive the 18 miles to the Sheri's in Bend, where our faith in the franchise was restored. We were met with a smile, our drinks arrived promptly and the food was delicious. If you're considering a trip to Sheri's, I highly recommend taking the time to drive to the one in Bend. read more

This was my 2nd time at Shari's, and it will definitely be my last. Don't get me wrong: I didn't go expecting high caliber offerings, but my grandmother wanted to go, so we did...as a group of 5. They served her water in a dirty glass that had a huge pink lipstick stain on it -- grandma only noticed after the glass was half empty, so it was too late to avoid drinking it. And no, she doesn't wear lipstick herself. When it was brought to the attention of our waitress, she was apologetic and got another water glass. When she brought it back, she launched into a weird speech that left us all sitting there looking at one another like, "What just happened here?" because she ended with telling us how she sometimes drank Pine-Sol as a child and that she turned out ok. Wait, what?! I guess this was her way of saying that a lipstick stain on a "clean" water glass shouldn't be of any concern to a paying guest. Seeing that we were all sitting there wide-eyed and wonderfucked, she left, at which point we agreed the Pine-Sol story was very probably true, though we couldn't agree that she turned out ok. Indeed, we felt sorry for her. I mean, who does/says that!? I've never experienced something so strange and off-putting from wait staff anywhere. As if that weren't enough to make for a bad experience, she did not offer to comp anything, did not offer a senior discount for grandma's meal, or even a free piece of pie -- these would be natural courses of action to take when you give a paying customer a dirty glass to drink from and it is brought to your attention. I never ask for comps; if any semblance of customer service is there, you don't have to ask. She also just rang up our bill and dropped off the receipt since she was getting off work -- she never asked if we wanted dessert, or another refill of our beverages. I wanted to summon the manager, but thought better of it; I don't want to cost anyone their job over a simple mistake, particularly in this case, since our waitress seemed to be perfectly oblivious. Let's just say the server was lucky we felt sorry for her. We agreed, as a family, to never eat at a Shari's again. The food was as decent as it could be after having been grossed out by the lipstick stain and then mortified by the strange speech given by the waitress. read more

Bad, Bad, Bad service...once we got seated, it took forever to get a glass of water, waited over 15 minutes to have someone take our order and it wasn't even our waitress. Once the food came, it was ice cold. It was lunch time and was not busy so I don't understand what was going on. We were only 10 minutes into the meal and the waitress brought our check...just a bad experience all around... read more

If you want an ice tea I wouldn't go here. First we didn't see a waitress for almost 10 minutes and then once we ordered our food it was almost another 20 minutes before the food came. When it did, one of our burgers was so overdone that it was hardly edible. We set our glass of ice tea on the edge of the table for a refill, after 10 minutes and no waitress I walked to the front were I was ignored, by the manager, for another 4-5 minutes. After I finally got his attention to ask for another glass of ice tea and the bill, he said he would bring it out. I went back to the table and ate the last quarter of my club sandwich, our waitress came and took another order, and it wasn't until we stood up to leave that the manager came sauntering over with the tea and bill. He reached around us putting our jackets on to set the tea on the edge of the table. I took the bill up to him and said I didn't think that we should be charged for the tea as we barely had the first glass and after 15 minutes of waiting for a refill, we never got it until we were leaving. He then proceeded to argue with me that I had just asked him for the tea and the bill was not being changed. I said that's crazy that after 10 minutes of waiting for a refill, I had to get up and go ask for another one where I was again ignored and then forgotten about. Wow. So I paid full price for everything, including the $2.39 glass of ice water tea. Unless you like to pay for things you don't actually get and you want it to take over an hour to grab a sandwich and burger, I would steer VERY clear of this place. Thought we would give Sharis a try as it was getting late and figured the whole family could go with more options. What a mistake that was. The quality of food was disgraceful. I had burger and the meat tasted foul. How does one mess up a burger? Trust me, I am not know to push food away. One bite and I was done. Other plates, bacon burned, toast burned and hash browns were just soaked in oil. Anyway. Service met my basic expectation of a place like that. You would have thought they would ask why we did not eat our meals. The cashier was rude and did not even ask how our dinner was. You live and learn. Please learn from my ordeal and head elsewhere but to this Sharis. read more

I wouldn't rate this restaurant because I can't give it less than one star- but can't post my review without it. My husband's birthday and we wanted something simple. We got simple...simply over cooked, leather like prime rib "special" with all you can eat shrimp. Apparently they didn't think he could eat any shrimp because it was never brought to us even though we complained - and the prime rib - asked how he would like it didn't matter - he said "medium rare" and it looked like a leather shoe. Overcooked. We asked for it to be taken back and the exact same steak was returned by the waitress who said "the cook said that's the only way it can be served". The manager then said " yes, we have to serve it that well done and there's nothing we can do." Well, as a customer I can get up and walk out (as we did) and complain to any audience that will listen to me on the Internet. Shari's service sucks. Their cooking sucks. The food sucks. Their management sucks. Not one ounce of trying to solve the problem. I went in one time before and had to pull the male manager off of the young waitress to tell him to clean the bathrooms - they were filled with garbage, dirty diapers on the floor, not toilet paper or paper towels and what looked like drug paraphernalia on the floor (this is in Redmond Oregon) so - despite wanting to try and give it a chance Shari's has worked my last nerve. read more

We came to sharis to celebrate my friends graduation and it was a disaster. Arrived at 4pm, Took 15 minutes to be seated (4:17pm), another 15 before our waitress Bev came to our table and took our order after going to tables seated after us (4:34pm). Then we waited 30 minutes to get our food (5:00pm) When the food arrived 2 out of 3 orders were incorrect. Simple requests like crispy chicken, no cheese, avocado. We asked for them to be corrected and she seemed to have an attitude and snatched the plates. Waited another 15 minutes (5:15ish lost track of time due to irritation). During this time we made comments regarding how it was talking a long time amongst our group. Bev then comes by and says "we had to remake your entire meals that's why" and walks off. When then get all 3 of our meals mostly correct. I mention I do not have avocado and Bev says "we don't have any avocado". Another member of our party said well it would have been nice if you mentioned that. Bev then decided to step forward get in her face and exclaim "I just found out about it LADY!" We sat there a little shocked by her attitude as she walked off. The same member of our party had ordered a BBQ chicken sandwich and noticed she had no bbq sauce. At this time Bev returned puts down a cup of bbq in front of her, says they forgot the BBQ and then puts a whole avocado in my face and says "feel this, this is why you're not getting an avocado". At that point we asked for a manager and she smiles says glady and storms off. Then we are approached by 2 managers. one had actually been a few feet away during our entire unpleasant interaction with Bev. The second manager said she was planning to come by because she noticed we had been sitting for a long time without food or service. They apologized and said they would talk to Bev and coach her. They made some offers to correct the issue but we told them we didn't need anything other the better service and not to be talked to so disrespectfully. Weren't asking for much; just courtesy, communication and maybe a drink refill which also ever happened. We finally left at 5:36pm. They did give us $5 off our total due to the experience. While that is appreciated I'm not sure any of will be returning to a Shari's restaurant. Never been treated likes that before as a customer, very disappointed. read more

The waitress was rude and disrespectful and engaged with another table of customers talking to them and telling them we are white trash because we brought it to her attention that the food was not correct and was mushy and that one of the plates had smashed food on it. She was argumentative as was the manager on duty when the issues were brought up. When I questioned the waitress while looking out the window about what she had said to the other table of customers she rudely told me to look at her when she was speaking to me and then informed me she could say what ever she wanted and discuss it with who ever she wanted. I again asked for the manager and she walked away and came back with a handful of mints and threw them on the table with the receipt that she tore the bottom off of and made the comment that we were out of control because we wanted our food correct and wanted to speak with the manager yet again. When the manager came over I told him how she threw the handful of mints on the table and ripped off the bottom portion of the receipt and I questioned him about allowing his employees to engage other customers about another table of customers and call them white trash he called me a liar and said she didn't do that. I looked at him and requested his name and the waitresses name and the corporate number. He said well I can print you off the receipt with the bottom portion and her name is on it. I agreed to this then had to ask numerous times for his name until he finally pulled a card out of his pocket then just stood there.! I again had to request the corporate number and he said he didn't have it that it was in the office and I looked at him and said ok and he just continued to stand there until once again I requested the number and finally in a huff he went to the office and got it. read more

service was awesome but there was a couple of things that I didn't like and that was the professionalism of the younger male dish washer I have heard him talking sexual to the servers and have seen with my own eyes him rubbing up on the servers very disappointed in the management. read more
