Stopped here on our way back to California from Goldendale, WA. The strawberry Belgium waffle was good, very filling. The BMC quiche was also good. My favorites.....the caprese and the avocado bruschetta. Service was good, employees were very friendly. read more

Pretty empty restaurant. Had to wait 15 mins for a table... not sure why there are empty ones everywhere. The hostess sat us, brought us water then said our server would be with us shortly. Its a Shari's. The thing I like about Shari's is absolutely consistency. Every Shari's everywhere in America is almost completely identical in every possible way. But every once in a while, they find a way to mess with that formula. Never order eggs benedict because you're not getting poached eggs ("Because how hard is it to poach a ******* egg properly?!") Its a known quantity. The fried chicken is pretty good. The chicken fried steak is good. Milkshakes, pies, and coffee are the highlights of my visits. There's a lot of different things on the menu so its great if you hit the inevitable "I dunno, what do you want to eat" conversation. Waitresses are always super friendly. Don't expect fine dining. We'd dined here before and it was above average for Redmond. And then last night happened. Just because it's Saturday night and the kitchen is maybe (what else could it have been?) short staffed; there's no excuse for an order for 5 to have taken nearly an hour to get to our table with absolutely no sign of an apology from the staff. Our waitperson disappeared 30 or so minutes into this excruciating experience. A sandwich, 2 bowls of soup, a "Sirloin" steak (cold), scrambled eggs and a burger for that? There's a server here called Savannah, tonight she didn't even come to our table to get our order. I had to go ask the person who helped us get seated to take our order. Savannah did end up coming to our table to give our check. No apologies, no courtesy. I could see her be friendly with all other guests. I really hope the manager here reads this and talks some courtesy into their employees. read more

I expected nothing and got more than I was expecting. We went here after failing at two other restaurants. One closed early. One was too full. We stopped by. The server was friendly. The food was pretty ok (salmon chowder, salad). And the pie was great (Key lime). I will not try to convince anyone that this is a place you need to see. I mean its Shari's, its like dennys, ihop, anything. Overall the experience was good, but the food is what you expect. If there is any reason to go to Shari's its the pie. The pie was great. The one complaint is that splitting the receipt was a hassle. Overall it was a fine experience. read more

The food was good. Me and my boyfriend go here sometimes to get a quick bite to eat, everytime I go I wanna give them the benefit of the doubt but literally the service is so slow! Everytime we go it's slow, and the last time we went our server was actually pretty nice, what upset me is that our server had to have my boyfriends burger redone because the burger was still raw and undercooked, thank god she saw that! I feel mean for saying this but we were like rushed out of the resturant when we were still eating because the server had to leave to go home to her baby. Of course we said okay but we asked for boxes and our check so we could leave and we waited forever for them, we had to ask another waitress to go get them because our first waitress literally just dipped and left after she said she had to leave. Like I get that you have a baby and need to go home but like, I really dont want to sound mean but you cant just leave when your serving tables and if you do need to leave in an emergency, talk to the other waitresses and tell them we need to be helped or something. We received the worst service EVER at this location. Usually they are ok but on Friday night it was beyond horrible. We had a party of nine and had to move our own tables together (no big deal). The waitress would come and take our drink order, then come back 10 minutes later with no drinks. We had to ask 4 different times if they still had prime rib and finally on the 4th time she returned and said they only had 1 order left. We asked if they could sub out a steak for the same price since it was only 8pm and we were told no. The incompetent manager said that he did not have the power to do that. After waiting for close to 45 minutes, we only had 2 of the 9 drinks and finally got up and walked out. Sad part was that they weren't even busy! The absolute worst service I have EVER had at a restaurant. I will NEVER return to this location! read more

Stopped in to meet up with family. Last Sunday. We were seated promptly. We were given water 4/4 of the glasses were dirty. Rather then apologize the waitress said "Well it's sanitized anyways but I'll get you new ones." When she brought them back they had clearly just been wiped down. But as to not be a hassle for her we didn't return them. Next we ordered. Food came within 20 minutes. One of the burgers looked as though it had been made solidly of mustard. We asked to have a new burger as so much mustard was ludicrous. Our waitress ignored our comment walked away then came back when she was ready. Waitress instead took the meal and split it from the bill. Without being asked to and gave attitude about it. Gave us the bill which had been served along with our meal. Then the 'general manager' Jeff came over to ask who's meal it was. With no apparent reason. Just wanted to ask. Then walked away. Our waitress and her coworkers stood about 5 ft away rolling their eyes at us. If you feel like being talked down to rushed out the door and having your plate ripped away from you then by all means go to this particular Sharis. read more

My husband and I ate here last Tuesday evening (close to 7:30 pm) and service was so slow. We waited over 45 minutes for our food because the servers were slow in getting to us and taking our order and then one of the servers forgot to put our order in right away because she went on a break. The food was pretty good but it just took way too long. We will likely not return to this Sharis. read more

Absolutely terrible service and food was also a disappointment!! I go to Shari's all the time and I have been to this Shari's in Redmond twice, going back high hopes they could redeem themselves. Boy was I wrong, but no shock actually. The last time we came here the server wouldn't check on us but did seem to be waiting on, what looked like regulars, hand and foot. All while walking passed our table each time, without checking on us. It wasn't until we saw what might've been a manager that the service improved and got a bit more energetic and friendly. I know this line of business is difficult when the place is busy, but with only 6 couples in the entire place and 8 servers on duty this should never happen. Oh and not to mention we were sitting directly in front of the service station, which is where all the servers input their orders!! Our servers name was Kris which was also the same server we had last time. Never again will I go back to be disappointed again. read more

Very Disappointed with the experience. Got fish and chips and the fish was small. 3/4 of my plate was soggy fries that weren't even warm. My Husband ordered the Sirloin it was tiny and he had garlic bread with but they were barely anything had two onion rings and most was mashed potatos. My friends and i were quickly seated by a waitress and got our drinks quickly but my milk was like just milked from the cow. It was warm and disgusting. The older waitress a short brunett older lady was a complete jerk. There were many hairs in our meals and we asked for other stuff, witch seamingly isnt rude to me. this is one of my favorite restaurants I have recently been to. it was amazing. we were traveling late at night around 1:30 am. it was the only place that was open. best decision I have ever made. I had some some amazing food. the pies looked amazing!! sadly I didn't have one but dang those pies looked great!!! While this is the only place that's open 24/7 in town for a sit down restaurant, the service is usually garbage unless a good manager is working at the time. The waitresses tend to "forget" your drinks often, and when you ask for water or the check you're greeted by a very cold woman who won't make eye contact with you, then leaves as fast as possible. Not good service. At all. Good food but my steak was overcooked when i said medium rare . It was well past well done. Not happy at all.

Over an hour for lunch to get a terrible tough not edible steak and they try to charge you eight dollars to re-cook it fee. And then get charged extra for the shrimp that's in the picture on the menu only have the Manager to say yes confusing we have quite a few items that are confusing like that on the menu. No offer of a discount manager has a bad attitude this place sucks try a different one, did get a free piece of pie but it was free pie Wednesday so nothing to try to make it right. read more

We left the truck in Madras because we couldn't even get a cup of coffee after about 20 minutes. Drove 26 miles to get breakfast. The service was horrible. It took 20 minutes or so just to find someone to bring us coffee. I got up 3 times, walked around the place and couldn't find a worker in site. One of the workers completing stopped working because she gave her car keys to the other waitress who lost them. I felt bad her car keys were lost but come on. Our waitress forgot about us. Asked her twice to bring more coffee, mind you, we were sitting across from where the coffee was. My husband finally got up and got the coffee himself. Very disappointing. read more

I have been to other Shari's in the central Oregon area before this, and have received just so so service and food. Went to the Sheri's in Redmond Oregon one night with my wife and a friend. We ordered steak, and mine showed up as ordered, prefect. My friend on the other hand wasn't cooked to his liking. He had it replace with one to his liking within minutes. Bev, our server, was friendly, very nice, just a down right great person. I will go back in a heart beat. read more

Went in to the Redmond Oregon location for breakfast Saturday. Several different parties were waiting and Jeff, the host/manager was not in a good mood as was apparent to everyone. As we walked in, following another couple, a man waiting at the counter got up and said he had waited long enough, couldn't wait any longer and Jeff replied with a rude retort. The man left and we asked to be put on the list and asked for an estimate of how long the wait would be; we were glared at and then ignored. The waitresses, many of whom I know well, were scurrying around, refusing to make eye contact with the customers; they looked scared. The couple who came in just before us tried to get on the list, but Jeff wouldn't talk to them, but instead talked to people who had just come in after. That couple walked out after complaining about being ignored and Jeff made a rude comment to them. We tried to talk to him, but he refused to interact. We asked to have our name taken of the list as he was so rude to everybody when he would respond and the fact that nobody was being seated even though at least 20% of the tables were empty. As we turned around and followed the other couple out the door, Jeff loudly decided to sarcastically respond: "Have a nice meal at some other restaurant, ladies". I asked him why he was so rude, but got no answer. Jeff is really a liability in this usually fun, friendly restaurant. I have never been treated this way by any host/manger at Shari's before or, for that matter, at any other restaurant. I was shocked and very offended. Had a great meal at Black Bear. read more
