    Halibut Tosticeviche in the bag
    Gina B.

Hot days call for cold dishes, right? Sandwiches, pasta salad, cold Asian noodles, sushi, poke, but how often does a Seattleite think of..... ceviche?? Well Seattle, Shark Bite Ceviches recently opened in Stumbletown. I've been here twice and so far I've tried the salmon ceviche plate, the halibut tosticeviche (sp?) and shrimp tosticeviche. The generous portion of ceviche was bursting with delicious citrus flavor. The fish is cut into tiny pieces, making it easier for scooping up. However, I prefer when the fish is cut up into slightly bigger pieces so that I can taste it better. Now the tosticeviche was a surprising little adventure. I decided to try it on a whim not expecting to love it due to the amount of different ingredients that were put together in a chip bag, which I questioned would work cohesively. But man was I wrong! The tajin, ketchup, hot sauce, Tostitos salsa verde chips, Japanese peanuts, jicama, cucumber, avocado, and ceviche mixed together is a magical combination of flavors and is what I must get from Shark Bite from now on. Keep in mind, the server will give you a choice of whether or not you want all three choices: tajin, ketchup, and hot sauce. You also can have it served in the Tostitos bag or a to go box. I like it in the bag because the chips soak up the ceviche juice but I also like it in the box since it is cleaner. In addition, there are a ton of hot sauce options available to spice things up, if you so please. The large outdoor picnic benches with umbrellas are the perfect invitation to spend a warm day enjoying your cool meal. I think this might be a new summer hangout for me.

We bought the halibut ceviche and it was DELICIOUS!! We took it to-go and ate it with some guacamole and devoured it. My ONLY criticism is that the chips weren't very tasty...We had some lime tortilla chips at home so ate it with those instead and it was perfect! I bought additional shrimp ceviche so I'm excited to eat that tmrw The guy working was super friendly and nice. There was a cute patio area to eat outside so next time I'd like to sit and eat there. Definitely will be back for more!

Customer service, atmosphere, and food were all amazing. Could barely finish the plate of shrimp ceviche, and it was very reasonably priced! The perfect summer spot, I highly recommend!

    Halibut and Tuna ceviche

We tried the halibut, tuna, salmon, and shrimp ceviche and it was all a 10/10. I would highly recommend this spot if you're looking for fresh and authentic ceviche.

We came on the earlier side and ended up waiting around 20 minutes before ordering. I got the dover and fries, and this was probably one of the best fish and chips dishes I have ever had! The fish was super duper thin and coated generously, and then topped with some seasoning mix that was so flavorful. The fries / potatoes were also insanely crispy and flavorful - the skins were the best part. I also really liked the tarter sauce that it came with! I can still remember how it all tastes. Definitely recommend the dover and chips, and I'll have to be back to try other menu items!

On a Saturday evening, we waited in line about 20 minutes and then were able to order and be sat. All the staff was very friendly. Even though they were constantly busy and wearing different hats, they were helpful, smiling and overall really nice. The food was solid. We tried the smoked salmon dip with chips, the fried chicken sandwich and the the black cod kasusuke. The crab rolls were sold out by the time we got there or we definitely would have tried those. The salmon dip was good, lots of dill, and the chips were crispy. The fried fish sandwich was light, which was nice for something fried, and the roll it was on was soft and warm. The black cod kasusuke was my favorite dish of the meal. The black cod was tender and fell apart, and it was seasoned so nice. It came with a spinach salad and rice which was also delicious. If I could give half stars, this would be pushing a 4.5. Nothing blew me away, but everything was fresh and enjoyable!

We had some of their Hpuse Creation cocktails. I had a clean vodka martini, one of my friends had a gin dirty martini with the pickled shrimp, another had a regular dirty vodka martini and one had the Dr Walnut. One of my friends got an additional cocktail the White Wolf. The dirty martinis a house brine that makes the drink look pink my friends seem to enjoy Can't say too much about ambiance since we didn't see the entire space but where we were was nicely lit and the restroom was neat. Service was great attentive and very informative. Will have to stop by for HH sometime

Every custom flight is tailored to your specific taste and price point which I love. Hannah, one of their whiskey curators, is super knowledgeable and created one of the most memorable bourbon flights I've ever had with super rare allocated stuff. The service here is extremely friendly. I was speaking with Hannah about what I wanted in my flight and shared my wish list. Based on that, she chose 4 esoteric bottles that each had their own characteristics that would be interesting to compare against one another. My flight consisted of the Pappy Van Winkle 23 years, Colonel EH Taylor Distiller's Council, Very Olde St. Nick Superfreak, and Wild Turkey Austin Nichols 16 years. It was super nice trying all of these rare bottles that I wouldn't even be able to find, and they were all interesting and delicious! The food here is also fantastic. We came during happy hour since the food is a lot cheaper. My favorite things were the Dry Aged Steak Frites and the Crispy Pork Belly. The steak was cooked perfectly and extremely tender with a great beefy flavor. I love a good french fry and these were fresh and crispy. The pork belly was tender and fatty but the fat was nicely rendered so it wasn't chewy. I love the Asian inspired flavors and the kimchi slaw provided the perfect acidity and freshness to complement the fatty pork belly.

I ended up getting the Dry Aged Steak Frites from the Happy Hour menu and OMG!! The steak, cooked medium, was incredibly juicy and tender!! I was so sad when I got down to the last bite lol As for the Russet French Fries, they were perfectly seasoned and just the right size. I especially enjoyed dipping them into the Fermented Chili Aioli. To which I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't actually spicy, given that I do have a pretty low spice tolerance lol. Overall, I'd definitely come back again! :)

First off they are not shy about telling you about the spice of the offerings. People who follow them on instagram know that they're pretty clear of the ingredients of their dishes. I often sit at the counter in the La Marea area, they will often state that the dish is spicy. They go one step further with service and ask do you want all the dishes to come out at the same time or as they are finished being prepared. Service is always friendly and helpful. La Marea was my first experience with a more expanded mariscos experience. As a Japanese American I love all the fresh raw fish tostadas especially the Tuna the salsa macho on this dish is delicious deep in flavor and texture but doesn't take away from the fish itself. When the cooler weather came they started adding hot dishes which do not disappoint and live up to the flavor and quality of the rest of the menu. The torta generous and definitely great for someone with a large appetite. The Aguachile and Tostadas are on the lighter side but still filling. I will almost always get a special if it's available. When Oysters were in season they were very popular. It's always fun to see what Bo comes up with for seasonal ingredients. Also don't forget to try their Michelada you buy it on the La Marea side and grab your beer on the Fair Isle side it's usually paired with their corn lager our house la

Dillon found this restaurant and we headed here a couple of days after my birthday. It turned out to be the best decision, it was less crowded, away from graduation dinners and celebrations, and though the day was a bit overcast, being near the water, we got to see a club? of stand up paddle boarders and kayakers do their routes in the bay! It's easy to say since we don't live there, but there is beauty in the cloudiness of the sky juxtaposed against the water. We went back and forth with the entrees but ultimately decided on an order of their shigoku oysters they had on special and we each got the Copper river salmon here. We loved it so much the first time we tried it that we had to try Ray's version of it and we were thankful we did!! The oysters were tasty and had a lovely unique flavor and the copper river salmon was cooked perfectly on a bed oof potatoes. The bread plate, though crispy, which we loved, was perfect for dipping and scooping up the remaining sauce and oils. Since it was my birthday there was a nice card left on the table which was a nice sweet touch that started the evening off on a personal touch. The dinner ended with our kind and chipper waiter bringing out a chocolate cheesecake and singing "Happy Birthday," it was fun and so nice! It was truly a wonderful birthday experience and I'm ever thankful Dillon made it so special. The chocolate cheesecake was divine, it had fresh raspberries and a house made raspberry sauce I believe and the cheesecake itself was fluffy and light and probably one of the best chocolate cheesecakes I've ever had. Another cool thing about this restaurant, we got to see an eagle's nest from where we were sitting looking up on a cliff in the trees!! Ray's gave us a fantastic dinner, a wonderful birthday celebration, and cherished moments we will always have now.
