Unfortunately I live in this area (but in a quiet GATED complex down the street), so I can confirm that the Audelia/Forest Lane corner is sketchy. However, Sharks is amazing and the food is great. It is very no frills, hole in the wall, and the service is not great. However the food makes up for it. The area has cleaned up a bit but it's still a little sketchy. I live in Rockwall and places like this so not exist. She picked it up before meeting me. The food was great! Not too much seasoning and fried perfectly well. Now here is my issue. I tried to go by myself and get some sort of combo. I drove all the way from Rockwall and could not get pass the storefront "bystanders". I went to the one on Forest lane. I don't know if there are others. I tried sitting in my truck waiting for the traffic to dwindle but it increased!!! Cop cars were driving through but they didn't appear to WANT to. Lol! I asked my friend how long does it take generally to complete an order. She said about 15 to 20 min because its made to order. I just couldn't. Im "protected" but shouldn't have to result to that measure or FEEL like I may have to. The surroundings are intimidating and the previous day someone was randomly shooting just a block away. My husband is the one that introduced this place to me. He's from the south side of Chicago and says Sharks is a big deal out there. And it's a big deal for our family here too. We always get the lemon pepper chicken with mild sauce. AMAZING. It's always cooked perfectly and consistent in taste and texture. The only difference from the sharks in Chicago is that the mild sauce comes on the side, which I don't mind at all. The only down side is the chicken sometimes has feathers in it.
