I have left four 5 star reviews for this Sharky's that used to be my favorite go to spot. My opinion of their food quality and portion sizes has drastically changed since my last 3 visits in a row. Last week I came in and ordered a quick snack because I was on the go. I got a side of queso and chips. When I drove away, I saw the queso was just 1/2 full. Not ok. Later that night I ordered delivery. 2 Power Plates w/ Chicken, Yams, and Roasted Veggies, a Crispy Quesadilla, and a few Salsa Verde. The Chicken portions were smaller than they used to be and they filled the yam sides up not even halfway. The yams also had a watery consistency. The Crispy Quesadilla had the smallest amount of cheese that you couldn't even taste it. It was paper thin. Never in my life have I seen anything like it. It tasted like eating plain tortillas. The salsa verde that has always been my favorite was like water. I did call and got a credit, which I appreciated. They do have kind customer service. I went in a couple of days later to pick up food with my credit. I ordered a Salmon Power Plate, Crispy Quesadilla, and Chips and Queso. While I was waiting, an employee was STANDING at the bar EATING food. That is so UNPROFESSIONAL and not what you want to see when you're at a restaurant. When I got the food home, the Queso was full, but there were gelatinous clumps in it. The Salmon Plate had the smallest piece of salmon I have EVER seen! It was a child's meal portion. Not only that, it was extremely dry. They forgot the chips you get with each meal. The Crispy Quesadilla did actually have cheese on it this time. Well they've changed their menu. I tried the Waygu flour taco won't order that again. I should have stuck with the plain old grilled tacos. We also had the salmon power plate and the salmon was so dry. And wasn't even served with a lemon. Had to get my own. I have been a Sharky's regular at this location for a number of years and don't think I've ever been dissatisfied. When I read the reviews I truly wonder what the expectation levels are of the people leaving the negative reviews. When people talk about service it's pretty straightforward; you order your food at the counter, you take care of all of your own condiments yourself and the staff will deliver the food to you?? Basic stuff. I've always found the staff to be friendly and accommodating , their food is extremely consistent and it's quick. A few of the reviews have commented on the ambience; Sharkys is not a fine dining location where you may expect a certain degree of ambience, etc- I take it for what it is. Its is in my opinion a location where I am able to get a quick healthy meal at a fair price on the fly and go about my day. I am a fan. read more

I have only gotten pick up orders from this Sharky's so far. Online ordering is always a breeze on their website. The menu is quite vast and offers plenty of vegetarian options. I especially like the grilled shrimp tacos. Customer service is overall friendly. I last came here earlier this evening to pick up dinner. Although it was a Saturday, I was surprised to find several open parking spots right in front of the restaurant! I thankfully waited only a couple of minutes to be helped by an employee, and my food was already ready. I appreciated that the employee checked my bag to make sure all the food I ordered was there before I left. While there is limited indoor seating, there are tables outside. The salsas here are always delicious. I only wish they offered more types of salsa. All in all, this Sharky's offers fantastic food and customer service. read more

Had small issue with my quesadilla not having chicken but manager Ryan was able to help fix my issue in no time and I was able to enjoy the item the way I intended. We are regulars at this particular location, the one in Westlake Village, and have always had a great experience there. We have been eating there for many, many years and it's consistently good all the way around. The staff is so nice! We were recently helped by Joseph and Madie and both of these employees were so respectful and helpful. There is always a manager, named Jose, who is also always a pleasure to see as he's always so positive and gives us the best greeting each time we see him. On top of the wonderful staff, our food is always very good and we never have a problem with our order. The restaurant is always kept very clean and the staff and owners clearly have pride in the work they do. Grateful to have such a lovely place to go. read more

I have to give Cameron credit! He replied to my previous review and was prompt at responding to my first email to him. He told me that he would give me a store credit and asked if I would give them another try. Tonight I went and used the store credit. My wife ordered steak nachos and they came out perfect! My daughter ordered a quesadilla and it was perfect. I will be honest as I ordered a steak burrito, I was concerned I might get chicken in it instead of steak. My concern was from past experiences, but I am glad my concern was wrong. I got steak and it was perfect! The staff were friendly and did their quality control checks thoroughly. Sorry marjaeashemi, there is no way to correct a carry out order "immediately." Might I suggest that you keep colored pens or highlighters next to your printer to mark up "NO" or "ADD" on the orders. Sharky's staff is so friendly. I usually go there 2-3 times a week and the vibe there is always upbeat and welcoming. You will notice the store manager goes around and asks customers how their food is. Love the attention to details!! Monica is a sweetheart and always remembers my order. This place is full of smiles. Sharky's: I really like their hot sauce. Sharky's red sauce. What makes me sad is.. When a Crispy Cheese Fiesta Shrimp Taco was ordered, and that was what we were charged for, instead, they supplied a chicken version of the taco. I called in the order, and it was repeated back like 3 times. My wife was in the room and was reading the menu, and then my wife went to pick it up. Not surprisingly, she didn't check the type of meat in the taco before leaving the store. Who would do that? However, when I called for a credit for a Taco, that wasn't the right meat, they are only allowed to decrease the price difference of the taco that was delivered. In this case $2.- Not the $8.05 for the actual whole taco. On their menu, taco section, number two item: NEW Crispy Cheese Fiesta Shrimp Taco $8.05 This is kind of a high lighted item. My wife's single request was for this particular Shrimp Taco. We also got churros and a burrito box for a total of $73ish total, plus the ridiculous tip amounts above 10% that my wife leaves. So.. I had to eat it. The $6.05 AND the taco, which I didn't want in the first place. Unless you think there was any chance that they would refund my money if I brought it back uneaten, and opened up, 20 minutes later, then this is unacceptable. I am irritated, AND unlikely to order from Sharky's again. They are expensive and make good food, but if they F the order up. C'mon. It's like this is a biweekly visit for me for several years. One star for the only person who works there who understands the sharkys app which her name was Monica. Jose is the rudest, lying manager I've come across in all of Westlake. I had receipts from 3 days ago saying "5 dollars off with app, "free fajita taco with order over 15 dollars" my original order was over 15 dollars until I decided this sharkys that's been a staple in my life I'll never be going to again. Was Sharky's the new it spot? This amazing well designed location is the center of the magic that fuses Thousand Oaks with Westlake Village is a must. The service is on point with instant chips and dip upon ordering, a great salsa bar, incredible amounts of booth, table, outdoor patio or even bar stool seating... This restaurant is just as clean as any surface or spot throughout and the ambience is quite inviting. The Sharky's menu is easy to follow with everything under its signature style or Mexican style dish preference (tacos, soups, salads, bowls, fajitas, and more). The Tofu & Veggies Burrito is my go to, but now that they offer plant-based queso I'm going wild among other new dishes (Roasted-Cauliflower & Mushroom Tacos, Seasonal Roast Veggie Bowl, etc). HUGE portions from burritos to that order of chips and guacamole that's enough to feed a family of four - we got two orders for three people and definitely needed at least 3 to five more people to finish it. One of my favorite things about Sharky's locations, especially the T.O. one is that they serve beer and wine, nothing like a Pacifico, Modelo Negro, Corona, Red or White vino to pair with your meal. Sharky's has amazing game day and family deals, nacho plus taco kits and the best sangria. Located near the Auto Mall Shopping Center in the Westlake Blvd Shopping Plaza just next to BevMo and close by Wild Fork, The Habit and several familiar businesses.
