Sharps just reopened following a closure to remodel. It was our first time there. We were staying in a nearby hotel . Service was wonderful. Jasmine, our waitress , was friendly and offered some good suggestions for our dinner. She was attentive throughout our meal but not interfering. The food was quite good. I had the chop salad with chicken added. The flavors were well blended. My husband had fish and chips and liked the seasoning. We brought a piece of carrot cake back to the hotel with us. Having driven past this place a million time, my fiancé and i decided to give it a chance. Pulling into the parking lot, I wasn't all that hungry. But as soon as I walked into the front door and the aromas hit my nostrils, I was starving. The place smelled so good, my body started tingling in places I didn't know existed. Ok, I made that last part but seriously, the places smelt amazing. Sat in the bar area and immediately was greeted by our server. Forgot the guys name but he was really engaged and friendly. Ordered the "Burnt Ends" which came with coleslaw and cornbread. We were not disappointed. I ordered the ribs and pretty sure that the meat was melting in my mouth after it fell off the bone. They were so tender and seasoned just right. Didn't have that over powering rub like a lot of other smokehouses have on their ribs. I think I found my new 'Go-To' for smoked food. If afterwards you're still hungry, I recommend the Rocky Road Pie. It will leave you wanting more so order two. read more

This was our visit to Sharps which we have passed countless times to and from the airport. We live only 15 minutes from there and it has taken years to try it. We loved it - with the exception of two false fire alarms. If you're a meat lover this is the place for you. We took our nephew there for his birthday- he had the boneless prime rib, 18 oz size. It was cooked perfectly- medium rare - he ate it all! We shared a platter with pork ribs, 1/2 chicken and the sourdough Mac n cheese with shredded brisket. Everything on the plate was consumed - more than enough for the two of us with a couple samples thrown our nephew's way. So many choices and we definitely will return. Prime rib is available after 5pm. Server was excellent and the place was packed, suggest reservations. read more

Because Sharps is so close to SeaTac Airport I see why there are so many reviews. Parking is limited since they share space with a hotel. I was seated on the bottom level and every time the front doors opened a draft of cold air came sweeping through. It's too bad they don't have a vestibule or a wall to keep that arctic chill coming in but they've been established for so long they probably won't change that. It has a pretty nice atmosphere. The complimentary cornbread was pretty good and our server was nice too. The food was ok. Since I'm local I probably wouldn't come here again. Glad I had the opportunity to try it but I'm going to stick with my tried and true south end BBQ joints. BBQ Pete's in Kent is pretty good and it's hard to pass up on their award winning BBQ sauce. Jimmy Mac's in Renton isn't too far from SeaTac Airport and that's a fun place to hang out too. read more

I was not in the mood for barbecue and was happy to see they had a rotisserie chicken Chicken in most barbecue places is rubbery so when it said rotisserie I thought great it won't be rubbery. I ordered the Mac N Chz to go. It was $26 for a tiny box. I asked the hostess as she handed it to me if there was a fork inside as I was staying in a near by hotel. She replied oh yes there is. It was very busy, so we decided to sit in the bar. We ended up getting the server Sarah and she was awesome. We ordered Iced tea that comes in ginormous glasses and is so good and brewed in house. If you drink they have a wheel that they spin every hour with the name of the discounted drink of the hour. I ordered the double smash cheeseburger and today's fries with ranch. It was very juicy and a bit greasy, but very good. The brioche bun was delicious. The fries were perfect. We ended up staying at the nearby Comfort Inn due to an airline flight change, and we were looking for a place to eat. We stumbled across the RoastHouse, which was an easy 10-minute walk away. The atmosphere is cozy, and the food itself is unique and delicious. Big cudoes to our waitress, Desiree, who was welcoming, cheerful, right on the spot to meet all our needs - what a gem! Although the food is delicious, some of the offerings are a bit pricy, but to be fair, not getting them didn't give us an opportunity to see or try them to know if they are worth the stated price. Sharps has a full bar and offers their own company made bourbon too. We're not meat eaters, but for those that are, there are some tempting rib and meat dishes. I've lived in Seattle for over a decade and finally decided to try this place. I often pick up my flight attendant friends who have a short overnighter before having to get back on the plane again, so I'm always looking for places to grab a good late night meal and drink. This is the perfect spot! I understand it's well-known to travel industry people but for some reason I just figured it was one of those "airport area restaurants" with half decent food. Glad to be proven wrong! It's a pretty big space with an older layout, which is don't mind at all. Easily accommodates groups of business travelers and families. I asked for blue dressing on my Cobb salad instead of the default vinaigrette. Very tasty, with loads of well-seasoned grilled chicken and crisp apple chunks. The BBQ salad was also great. Perfect for when you have a craving for BBQ but don't want a bready sandwich or full plate of starch & meat. The mac n cheese was a bit odd. I wasn't a fan of the sauce (grainy?) and the sourdough pasta was too big and toothsome for having buffalo chicken tenders in it. I'd like to try the pasta with a different sauce next time. Server was attentive and got us refills, and processed our tab quickly so we could get on the road on time. We didn't expect the food or the atmosphere to be this nice, as the bar area is a bit unimpressive. So what a great surprise to find the food perfectly prepared and delicious, the decor inviting, and the service attentive. I had the 1/2 roasted chicken, which was well seasoned and succulent. The broccoli that accompanied it was also outstanding. Our friend had a pulled pork sandwich, which she loved, and hubby very much enjoyed his tacos. To begin with the staff was very nice and accommodating when my husband went into the restaurant to place and wait for our order. the issue was with the food. I wanted an order of burnt ends. my husband was informed it was a small amount and was encouraged to order two servings. which he did. I did not need two. I travel often so eat out when I must but I also am a really great cook myself. I would not have served those dry chewy so called burnt ends to my pets. so disappointing. Try an order at the whiskey Bar in downtown Seattle to see how it is supposed to be done. The fish and chips were ok but not great, the cornbread was dry and flavorless, the fries were limp and made up the largest part of the fish and chip order and the slaw was just sad. read more

Amazing experience all around. Patrick the general manager is very personable and interacts with the customers whether it's helping expedite orders or making sure everyone in the restaurant is having a great experience. Our waitress Kimberly was responsive, friendly, and attentive. You can tell the employees here actually enjoy their jobs and love taking care of their customers. The food was astounding. Started off with some maple cornbread which was sweet and salty, warm and comforting. I ordered the prime rib and it was served with a delightful helping of shredded horseradish as well as a little tin cup of aus jus. The contrast of delicious flavors brought on by the horseradish and aus jus were only outshined by the tenderness and flavor the perfectly roasted prime rib brought to the table. The side items were no joke either. The garlic mashed potatoes were so perfectly rich and buttery... just amazing. We shared some Mac and cheese (couldn't resist when we found out it contains house-made sourdough pasta). It was fantastic! I tried a vodka cranberry with their house vodka and it was smooth and refreshing. Very reminiscent of Tito's, but a bit cleaner and smoother even. The atmosphere is great too. You can see where the in house pasta is made as you walk in the door, and there are openly visible liquor barrels where in house liquors like whisky and vodka are being aged/stored. Giant roasters are visible from most seats in the restaurant so you can see the meat being cooked low and slow. Overall it's a very welcoming and comforting space. Nice without being too fancy or requiring special attire. We were visiting from DFW and while we have a lot of good prime rib joints in Dallas, Sharps topped any experience I've had as of late. We visited one more time before leaving town and had another awesome experience! We look forward to visiting sharps again next time we are in town. read more

First of all, the employees/staff/service members are very KIND and FRIENDLY but the overall service staff seems VERY inexperienced. That is my opinion after MULTIPLE visits here. Recently, I had put together a work-place celebration and we had a petty good time. However, there were mistakes made that were unforgivable on a $1,000+ table.... We had informed the waitress that one of our team-members had dietary restrictions and we made it VERY CLEAR to the waitress that no pork could be in the meal.... However, bacon was not excluded from the fish dish even after discussing with the staff the dietary restrictions, it was ignored. Ultimately, the issue was corrected with the staff member but was too late and didn't seem to understand what a dietary restriction was. They literally screwed up so bad my coworker had to go pray forgiveness with his god because they served protein he shouldn't have ever been served. read more

I was a little leery about going to this place. It's literally right next to the SeaTac airport and in the same parking lot as a hotel, not the greatest omen. Transient customers usually don't get high quality food and service because restaurants know they are just passing through. Not the case at all at Sharps Roasthouse! This is a good find. Sam, our cute and friendly server, couldn't be better. She made great recommendations and made just enough conversation for us to feel a very personal connection. They have an excellent selection of beers. I highly suggest you try the Crux Pilsner. Sam told us that meats are what they are known for. Even had ribs cooking up front inside. Although I had intended to get fish and chips, said to be very good there, my friend and I both ordered the prime rib sandwich. Very tasty. Could only eat half there. My wife helped herself to the other half when I got home and she liked it a lot. The inside is much larger than you would expect. There's a bar and Sam told us that they distill their own liquor. I like that she took it upon herself to be an ambassador for the place. The only thing I could say to detract from going there is it's a little on the pricey side. Please change your deep fry oil as it's almost black. My fish & chips were very dark with oil. The cod inside was "well done" & the fries were cool & limp (I didn't eat them).
