I will say the tech did make one mistake and somehow forgot to put the actual lock lever back into the door. I did not notice it due to the fact that I had a carseat on that side and never opened the door from the inside. Fast-forward 2 years, the carseats have been moved to the back row, and we realize we cannot unlock the door manually after my wife was trying to exit after sitting in the back. I stopped by and spoke with Reggie not really sure if they would be willing to do anything about it since it had been over 2 years since the work was completed. Even though the mistake was made before Reggie's time, he immediately apologized and told me that he would take care of it. I can honestly say I was a bit surprised as it had been so long before I noticed the issue, and it had taken me even longer to bring it in to have them look at it. Through the entire process Reggie has been awesome and as promised they replaced the missing lever. I can say that for any future repairs Carstar will be my go to repair shop.

They had my car over 3 months after telling me it would take about one week. I was charged $3,800…read moremore than I was quoted, and my car was unsafe and barely drivable. Difficulty turning the steering wheel, intense grinding and scraping sounds, vibrations, etc. And little to no body/cosmetic work was actually done. After taking it to another mechanic, they recommended not driving it at all because of safety concerns and continued damage due to improper and incomplete repairs. THEY ALSO FOUND A RUSTY PAIR OF PLIERS LODGED BETWEEN THE FRAME AND THE CONTROL ARM WHICH WAS CAUSING MUCH OF THE STEERING AND GRINDING ISSUES. The compressor was incorrectly placed and was shredding the timing belt. The control arms were bent and causing gouging and damage to the brakes. I paid another $3,330 to get those things fixed. I have now paid over $7,100 OVER Kong's initial $9,000 estimate just to get the car in safe driving condition. So all in I have paid over $16,100... and that's just under the hood. After several requests and sharing paperwork and all details with Kong's, they are unwilling to reimburse me for these expenses. If you have had a similar experience, I recommend filing formal complaints with: GA Attorney General, Secretary of State, Federal Trade Commission, Better Business Bureau, and local and state criminal fraud/negligence departments. *notes and pics are from the reputable mechanic that finally got my car into a safe and drivable condition.

After some back and forth in which I provided more context and he answered all of my questions, we mutually agreed on a solution that made the most sense. The quote went from being $2,000+ to about $500. I felt that his willingness to dialogue with me made all the difference, and I could tell quite plainly that he was completely honest, experienced, and also straightforward. Sure enough, he was able to work some magic on my catalytic converter, replace some spark plugs, and tweak a couple other things here and there. I originally took the car because it had failed an emissions inspection. When I arrived to pick it up, I found that he had taken the liberty of bringing the car to an emissions place and had already gotten it passed. The paperwork was sitting on my dashboard. It's been about 3 months since then; I wanted to wait some time to confirm that my issues would not return. We recently had work performed on my daughters 2014 Jeep Patriot. Wright's got it in quickly and…read moregot the work done that was necessary (wheel bearing hub assembly and intake manifold). The Jeep passed Emission Testing a week later (yeah!) and is running well. We still "heard a noise" and brought it back for another inspection. The Wright Team inspected the Jeep and determined that an inexpensive repair by the former owner (strut assembly) was causing the noise. They determined it was not a safety issue and advised we could wait, or repair. I appreciated their honesty as my goal is to provide my youngest daughter with a safe vehicle to use in College. Wright could easily have told me "it's a safety issue" and I would have paid for the repair but they were honest, and they have earned my business for many, many years. If you need an honest and very capable repair shop, THIS is the place.
