What's wrong with this place? Just look at the reviews and especially the video someone else took. They are horrendous with attitude. My brother was doing DoorDash for a handicapped man. There was an issue with the order bc he wanted a poinsettia plant which the red one left was dead that they should be ashamed of, the guy desired something different for his mom, DoorDash didn't load enough and I told this to the little miss attitude who was working the self check out. She says no problem. Then 4 people show up and it's a problem. She suspended the order as she pushed her way through. Manager at store seemed like he didn't care said he would supposedly speak to the front end manager. But yet if you don't go to self checkout they have no problem allowing their employees to chat it up, are slow as anything, and can't bag orders to save their life. Stay away! read more

Quite disappointed at this location overall. The new addition of Starbucks didn't change anything. They have good sale (esp on cold-cuts and bacons) from time to time, but they also over-charge a LOT of things. Newest case is the Stonyfield organic probiotic yogurt I got -- many varieties were all jammed in the same area and I wasn't going to pick at stuff during a pandemic, so I just quickly chose one and left, figuring that it'd be $5.99 at most (from the usual $3.59-$4.79 range). Surprisingly, it rang up $7.99!!! For a 32oz. tub of yogurt! Even WholeFoods doesn't sell yogurt for $8! Given that they don't even have to pay rent for this property (source: claims from town residents), this arbitrary pricing is beyond outrageous. Many times I shop there, prices also don't ring up correctly. Not a big deal until I go to Customer Service, who'd try to "refund the balance" instead of abiding by state law, or just muddle the math to minimize their own loss. One time the lady did the wrong math with my refund, she even out right lied (that, or she doesn't know the law) how there is a "$10 maximum" on total error refunds and I was now at $9 for THREE ITEMS (of price difference, NOT refunding full on the first item then price-difference the other two) so there was "not much difference anyway". Wasn't worth my time and energy to further bicker on loose change, and there were another customer waiting, but that did not change the fact that they are horrible with math, price management, and customer service. Would still go there on the off chance that we swing by the area, but it would not be a place I'd recommend to shop on any given day. The Shaw's in Canton is better by comparison. read more

I bought 2 bags of so-called "fresh" PEI mussels in the seafood department on 7/3. The worker put the mussels in another bag and labeled it. When I got home, They stunk and were very sticky and slimy. I saw the tag on the mussels put on by the producer and saw they were 2 weeks old(6/22). Very disappointed that Shaws would sell 2-week-old shellfish as "fresh". That quickly changed my dinner menu and shopping habits. read more

Far from the best Shaws but certainly not the worst supermarket I have ever been in. Wouldn't normally go here but I was in the area of the 95 exit in Sharon and in need of a few items. The prices I thought a bit higher than other Shaws not sure if it is actually true or not across the board just my initial perception. Ex standard white whole mushrooms package usually 1.99 or 2 something these were 2.49 and the Indian section which was placed near the front of the store had the Tasty Bites pouches at like 4.48 thats high. All in all I found the store to be well laid out and pretty large, real long isles but wide. The rear is very wide with tons of room for displays. I should say the flooring is very nice. I know it has been recently remodeled. The produce was to the right just as you enter and the store was consistent with the typical counter clockwise shopping pattern. They had a nice display of pre made foods at the deli. The meat & fish area looked orderly though I was just shopping for groceries so I didn't check pricing or freshness. This isn't my job haha I see they have been lambasted on Yelp for what the store was prior to the remodeling but this market is surely decent and if you lived in the vicinity of the store why would you go elsewhere to another Shaws. Obviously BJ's and Whole Foods may be on your specialty and bulk route but for some basic stuff like pasta and sauce or some fruits and veggies it's fine. read more

Drove by here for the first time in a couple years and after seeing signs saying "Reopening," I decided to stop by. They have completely redone the place and it looks first rate. They seem to have left the isles as they were while modernizing the rest of the store. This looks a bit unsightly but can be forgiven. They have substantially improved the quality and scope of the food offerings while maintaining competitive pricing. It seems to near the likes of a Market 32 or a Whole Foods in its atmosphere while still providing good deals. I truly recommend you give this place a second chance as the store has been reborn. -Mike read more

They would not let me sign up for their rewards program. The cashier didn't know how, so another cashier told me to do it online so no discount today. Heavy construction within store led to difficulty in navigating aisles and understocking. They only had one of the grill seasoning I went there to buy, and the label was torn off. read more

Now, im gonna start off my review ensuring that the problem with this store isn't any of the actual employees but the manger themself. I was shopping and notice one of the hanging displays of kraft parmesan (made entirely of metal) was loose so I walked up to a young man and asked him to remove and he kindly agreed to take it off and bring it to the back. I thought that was it sadly he had to come back and told me that his boss (Christopher I think his name was) wouldn't allow this despite it being a safety hazard. I ask if there was anything that could be done, and the young man said "sadly not the mangers care more about inventory than the people". Never going back to a shaws in my life. I needed to use the men's room in Shaws Sharon today. It was the worst bathroom I have been in a decade at that includes gas stations and college football stadiums. If a criminal was sentenced to spend a day in the Shaws "box" it would be cruel and unusual. The floors and walls were filthy. There was a thick haze of urine to the point my eyes watered and my throat was scratchy. I can't even begin to describe the sink and toilet. The funny thing was that they had a little signature sheet to indicate someone had recently cleaned. I suspect they did little more than sign the sheet. If this is how they keep a public space, I can only imagine the conditions in the back warehouse where the food is kept. I left my half filled cart and went to Stop and Shop. read more

Guess what? All Shaw's are not created equal. Sharon's Shaw's has several things working against it. As Stephen P. notes, perhaps one of its only pluses is that it is conveniently located right off of I-95. It is also the only supermarket in town! However, there is a good amount of competition in the area with Big Y in Walpole, Stop & Shop in Norwood and even a better Shaw's in Cobbs Corner, Canton. The selection is very limited here. I was looking for vidalia onions here the other day and could not find any lose ones. I had to either buy a bagful of onions or pick a different variety. The store itself needs an overhaul. It is dark and just old looking, kinda like the entire plaza where the store is located. My experience has been that the store employees are helpful. It looks like they will be building some shops and residences at "Sharon Commons" accross the street from here and I am hoping that Shaw's will see this as an opportunity to invest some much needed dollars into our local supermarket! read more

This place is an absolute dump! It went from going back one a month with bad food to every other week, to once a week to twice in one day! Shocking experience. So of course the shop starts with waiting a half hour at the most agonizingly slow deli I have ever been to. These guys look like they are going out of their way to be even slower. Btw there was only four people at the deli when I got to it. Then off to the butchers deli where I stood for 5 minutes before I interrupted the seafood deli who sees me standing there and he frustratingly walks over and screams someone's name in the back. No response, he walks away and I stand there for another 5 minutes before I walked around the deli and screamed myself. Then the seafood guy came over again and yelled yet again to someone in the back. After a few minutes, a guy did appear with a look of surprise that someone was actually at the counter. Maybe invest in a bell people, hello! it is the 2000's. We then we get home and my sons salad is rancid but we cannot figure out what it is. Finally we determine its the tomatoes in the guacamole. Absolutely dreadfully rotten. But masked in the guacamole it was very difficult to detect. But eat one alone and you had to spit it out. Now we all know how quickly avocado goes bad and this stuff was green. So this means the tomatoes were put in the spread bad to begin with, Well the woman aty the return desk was as rude as the day is long and completely unfazed by this. I told her she needed to remove the container from the salad bar before someelse eats it. Well I got my money back and my son got sushi. Big mistake, This time I made him try it in the parking lot and hwe did so back into the store for another return. This time I was fuming and asked the stone faced arrogant bi_ch if she had the manager remove the Guacamole she actually said she paged someone but nobady responded yet, 45 minutes later. How grotesque can you get. When I told her someone is going to get sick you need to get that out of there, she again had no response and turned away. So I went and chased down a manager which took way too long in a store that big, But anyway he came over to the salad bar and I explaned what happened. So he actually grabbed the spoon in the guacamole container and stired it up pushing the stuff on top down into the bottom, right in front of me and said "oh, we get this from a vendor, we don't make it here". He then left it there, I was so shocked I didn't even know what to say and just left. I will not be caught dead in this sh_t hole again. I will happily pay the upcharge to shop elsewhere. read more

I worked for a big market years ago ( for 14 years) and know what to look for. This place has completely turned around and it is a good store, they are well stocked, meat is fresh, produce is fresh and available, and the people that work here seem very nice. I walk in and do my thing 90% of the time get what I came for usually a little more. The people in the area are tough to please and usually looking to something to complain about. Over all I like it and it rates with Franklin and Norwood as a solid trip. read more

This is not a great supermarket. The prices aren't great, the selection isn't great, and the overall atmosphere of this store is old, tired, and in need of remodel. Recently, they have been in talks with the owners of the plaza to rejuvenate this store and rebrand it to become a Star Market. But, until the complete plaza makeover is complete nothing will be going on (they have to redesign it to use the space of the former cinema into something useful and ideal for residents). Either way, this store has a poor selection and nothing that is any better than any other supermarket. They only stay afloat in Sharon since there isn't anywhere else directly in town for people to shop at..... just as the same in Foxborough (or at least the side that borders Sharon). Just telling from the other reviews you can clearly see that people do not like this store and just go for convenience. Stop&Shop in general (including all of the nearby locations) are all much better between the renovations, technology, and employees. Stop&Shop in general is larger and provides more selection in every department as well. This store may be ok for a few quick essentials but for a big shopping trip go elsewhere, and only if you live in the area. I don't live all that close to here and don't ever intend upon returning... Stop&Shop is just too overwhelmingly better to even consider coming back here. 1 star. read more

Awful experience. Couldn't find a butcher or any employee for that matter for at least 5 minutes so I proceeded to the "service" desk. The young man at the desk called the manager to help. The manager came out smelling like smoke and offered a raincheck. Why do I keep getting bad food here? Nuts so stale they can't be eaten. Stale crackers. Expired beverages in the wild harvest section. Hummus within date with green mold. Fruits that are rotten through and through when cut into. Half and half that goes sour way before use by date. I had a horrible experience at the Shawn supermarket in Sharon this morning with my husband! We were searching through the meat section and I saw one of those Purdue roaster in bag chickens decided to pick it up for a easy dinner as I walking down the meat fridges I saw that shawls had almost the same thing but cheaper so I decided to put down the Purdue one and picked up the cheaper one, not sure if it angered the butcher that I did not place it back where it belonged but he came out from behind the back area and proceeded to pick it up and put it where it belonged he then decided to stand behind me and my husband the entire time we were in the meat section and at one point leaned up on the meat fridges maybe 5 ft away from us with his arms crossed. Did not say one word the entire time if he assumed we needed help I would imagine he would have asked us! He made us both so uncomfortable that I will never return to this establishment and I am a frequent shopper! I have NEVER felt so uncomfortable in my life. I will drive 15 minutes out of my way now to stop and shop so that I never have to feel like that again! read more

I have been shopping at this Shaws for about 18 years now. I know it's not so busy as other supermarkets are but Sharon is a small town. The good thing is the people that work there. Everyone says Hi or acknowledges you. I did have one bad experience last year but the main office contacted the manager and he made it right. I find plenty of selection compared to other supermarkets, It seems there is plenty of cheese to select from ( see other review maybe they were there on a bad day) The only downs seem to be that Shaws in general has kinda high prices, but if you take advantage of their sales and e-coupons etc you can get thing at the same or less than the competition including Walmart etc! read more

Buyer beware when shopping at this store...look closely at packaged produce as I have found on numerous occasions spoiled items. Plus, this store feels dirty, dark and dingy....but I have to take the senior bus here so I have no other options when it comes to grocery shopping unless I want to pay the $20/hour rate by those associated with organizations. read more
