I went to see Kara for the first time this week and it was great. She had a large color selection and lots of neutrals, which I love. She really took her time and was really thorough with my cuticles (I'm a notorious picker). She does a thicker gel base under the gel polish which I really like because for once my nails feel stable and not like they could bend up and down all day. I have a feeling these will last a lot longer than me than normal gel coat. She made it really clear she cared about what I thought during the process and walked me through the whole process in case I felt any heat on my nails etc. Considering the hard gel base, her prices are super reasonable! I was recommended to see Kara after getting Akzentz manicures up north and wanted to stay with someonee who had experience with this product. I've gotten maybe 2-3 manicures in my life. For a birthday treat, I decided to get a professional gel manicure. Kara was wonderful at explaining things as she went along as the process is very different from a 'traditional' manicure. I also appreciated her availability for when I had questions--I realized I wash dishes at home frequently and asked her how to protect my manicure and she responded promptly. A week later, my manicure still looks brand new. Kara was skilled and professional. While I might not make it a biweekly habit, I am sure to be back again. If you go with street parking, my manicure took almost 90 minutes, so keep that in mind when buying time. While it took longer than a traditional manicure, it's 100% worth it when the results last this long! read more
