This place, first of all, looks amazing! I met one of the owners during my late visit and she was super friendly. The technician, Loann, was awesome. She made me feel comfortable and we talked a little bit while she did my eyelashes. Even listening and laughing with me at my embarrassingly loud stomach growls lol. Maria is so wonderful. I have been having issues where the lashes keep falling off so I hadn't given up hope and kept going back to her. She's been very understanding and helpful and has been worth every penny. I just got the lashes redone after they almost all fell off after a week and so far so good! Make sure you are super specific with what you are looking for, she knows exactly what she's doing and is so sweet. This was the worst experience I have ever had in any beauty service. The staff were rude, my technician did not communicate anything to me. I came out looking lopsided and politely agreed to STILL PAY AND TIP but asked for them to immediately be removed. I opened my eyes when she removed the tape (as removing the tape was the last step in the application). I lay there for 5 minutes, as she looked over the work and wiped away what I thought was residue. Then technician said she was worried as I was not supposed to open my eyes yet and said "aren't your eyes really stinging." SHE WENT 5 minutes before saying this. I know because i opened my eyes to one song and was humming along another 3 songs before she said anything. I ended up with an EYE INFECTION from what I can only assume were cheap products and I'm stuck with an eye patch for a week! My doctor said I was lucky to come in on the same day as the infection could have affected my sight if left untreated. after everything they still asked me to pay for the $25 removal. I convinced them it was ridiculous and left in tears from all their snarky comments. read more

This was my first experience with lash extensions. I decided to come to She Winks after finding the business page on Instagram and learning it was a Latina owned business and to my surprise it was just around the corner from my job. Maria was my lash tech and she was AMAZING! She took the time to show me all my options and ask what look I was going for and the results were STUNNING! Has gone steadily down hill over the past 6 months. Used to be crowded now alway empty. I had an issue with the owner; been coming for over a year, got the flu and had ot cancel. Spoke with one of the owners and she charged me $75; very short sided and poor business acumen on top of it she was completely rude and insulting on the telephone. I wont be returning. This establishment is very pretty and clean. The ambiance is relaxing. I got the mink set done. The eyelash tech was very sweet and professional however I wish she had spent more time discussing the looks. The process was pleasant. The result wasn't great. I have more lashes on the right eye versus the left. I think they might even be different lengths and curl. When I saw the result I did not immediately notice this. But friends and coworkers concluded this when inspecting my lashes since I had told them I was going to get them done. When I brush the left lashes out it doesn't seem so bad. I was turned off when I went to pay. The lady there was chatting with a regular / friend at that place (based on their conversation) the whole time during the transaction and immediately got up after she handed me the receipt. Moved from LA to NYC and needed a fill and the reviews for this place looked good. The pros: The studio is nice, they give you wine if you want and they have good music. My lady was fast I was in and out in less than an hour. The cons: it's just been two weeks and 80% of my lashes are gone, I've never experienced lashes falling out at such a rapid rate. The girl used some eye solution that made my eye burn and tear for like fifteen minutes, the bottle was in a different language so I couldn't even tell what I was reacting too, and she poked me with her tweezers leaving a little cut on my nose. Unfortunately, I am very unhappy with my service. I have been a client at the studio once before with good results. However, yesterday I had an appointment for a full upper lash set at 10am, in preparation for a destination wedding this weekend. My lashes barely lasted the day! I did not touch my eyes, get them wet or sweat, but lashes kept falling out all day. People kept letting me know that I had lashes "all over my face". By the time I got home last night it looked like I got my lashes done weeks ago - not this morning. It was a complete waste of 150 dollars and now my lashes look worse than before I got any put on!!!!! I am very disasstified with my service and very upset about the money I wasted. I'm now on my way to the wedding and will be out of town until Tuesday and have to try and salvage my eyelashes through weekend with single use eyelash strips. When my best friend saw me this morning at the airport her first words were "why didn't you get a lash fill this week". I was furious to tell her I got the "full set applied yesterday" I know now have to pay for a fill when I return somewhere in hopes to get at least a week or 2 of nice lashes. read more

I'm pretty sure I am still sticky with wax as I write this review. I purchased the GILT voucher for the brazilian wax so I am not speaking for the lashes - you can look @ the other reviews for that. I show up for my 9 am appointment because I start work at 10 and figured with a wax that will give me plenty of time to do what I need to do and head to work on time. Nope, the technician shows up 15 MINUTES LATE! - never apologized and was probably the LONGEST wax I have ever had in my entire life. I'm not exaggerating either, we probably started at 9:20 - I figured okay it has to be 30 minutes max, NOPE when we were finished I looked at my phone in horror as it's now 10 am, I'm late for work, and so confused as to who hired this amateur. Typically when you get your vag waxed you want it to be quick and painless, the wax was okay but she would go to the wax pot, pour some in a shot glass, walk over to me, and spread about an inch of wax at a time and remove o_o The best part was when I had to put my knees to my chest, that process took so long I lost all feeling in my feet/legs as the blood rushed down to my thighs. I'm not kidding you. I also had to assist in the wax process by grabbing this lip that lip that I ended up with some wax on my hands. I expressed my disappointment with the manager/receptionist and she was very understanding so hopefully they will hire someone better skilled for the job. With an office in midtown Manhattan nobody has time to lay down for 40 minutes and endure a painful Brazilian. I recommend Uni-K on 9th ave - 15 min max you're in and out! read more

So I have been a customer of She Winks for over 2 years always for my lashes, though I have gotten my eyebrows tinted and nails done there as well. I recently decided to try a new lash place out because they had a sale and it truly made me miss She Winks. At She Winks, from the minute you walk in, the decor is inviting and beautiful, the staff is friendly, but most of all I don't have to ever worry about my lashes because they are always done perfectly. Truthfully I trust their services so much that I never have to tell the staff what I'm looking for, I just tell them do the lashes how they think would look nice and it's never been a bad decision. I found that at other places that is not the case, you have to discuss the most minute details in depth and worst of all I wasn't as happy with my lashes as I am when I leave She Winks. In conclusion, I will never stray from my She Wink home again! read more

All though I do like my eyelashes I just had a few issues about the customer service. As I was sitting down filling out the forms your receptionist only asked me if I wanted a beverage, when I was expecting to have a consultation in regards to what I would want. I had to force it out of the woman that was doing my lashes , about what length and texture of lashes your studio provided. She answered me as if I already knew and also seem annoyed, but I had to remind her that I have never gotten my eyelashes done before. As I was in the middle of getting my lashes done I heard your receptionist speaking to another client and offering her 10% off her service today if she posted a picture on Instagram. I was just wondering why I did not get the same customer service as the other client. Your receptionist barely spoke to me at all. I just feel like everyone should be offered the same customer service and your receptionist should always be consistent with sharing out information and making clients feel more comfortable. read more

I'm highly disappointed with my visit on 8/5/19. I was scheduled at 12pm with Natalia for a 3 week touchup. Travel time for me to get there from work is about 12 min train ride. Unfortunately, the M was not working. Once I realized it was 11:54am and I would run late I called the front desk to let her know. She said okay and agreed for me to arrive as soon as I could. I arrived at 12:27pm and in between my transit there, I kept calling the front desk rep to let her know my status. Upon my arrival, she and Natalia let me know that Natalia only had 30 mins before her next guest and can only do a "natural" lash look because usually she would need 60 min for a 3 week touch up. I didn't agree with that but not to waste time I started the service and meanwhile the front desk rep was supposed to contact the manager to see if the service price could be adjusted since I received half the service. Although, Natalia tried to help by adding a few volumizing lashes, my lashes still do not look full enough - not how a 3 week touch up should/would look. If my service could not be fulfilled properly it should have been the front desk rep responsibility to let me know before arriving and offering me to reschedule instead. Poor customer service and overcharges guests. To add, I wrote an email to management and never received a reply or call back. Unprofessional. read more

As a blogger, I've heard a lot about this place because there were events being thrown here and Boss Babe CEO Alex tagged them in a few of her photos showing her lashes. I made my first appointment with the salon and went in with high hopes and expectations. Good thing I did because they were met! :) I got a lash and eyebrow tint. Oh! The Decor? *big eyed emoji* It was every woman's dream! The colors, the furniture, the little touched like quotes on the wall and candy tables made me feel real luxurious. I waited for no more than 5 minutes before I was greeted by my lash lady & escorted into a room. I laid down and had the best 30 minute nap of my life while getting my eyebrows and lashes tinted. Now, what I wasn't aware of was the fact that a lash tint was just coloring my lashes *side eye emoji*. I definitely should've done my research because my lashes just went from black to dark black. LOL. Now, My brow tint? That was AH-MAZE-ING! I had full even eyebrows for the first time in my life (LOL) & was absolutely hooked. She was also a very kind lady (wish I could remember her name). But, the part that I was most impressed with is the fact that I didn't have to color in my brows (not even a little) for about 3 days straight and when it started to face, I just used it as the blueprint for filling them in. So, let's just say, I was extremely satisfied with my first. So, of course, I had to make another appointment. My second visit's eyebrow tints weren't as satisfying as the first. Maybe because it didn't sit for long or it was a different lady but the tint was very light leaving the salon and I had to fill in the next day then it faded the day after that. To me, it was a waste of my money. So, that was unfortunate. BUT, because they did such a good job the first time, I refuse to believe that I'm done with this place so I'll be making a 3rd & 4the appointment. The next one will be this coming week just for brow tint and my 4th one would be for brow tint AND lash extensions in time for my WEDDING :) :) April 26th in Miami, FL. Hopefully, the next two visits would be like my first! We'll see. Overall, I love the decor, the aura, the receptionist is so sweet and the concept behind the brand I'm all for supporting. read more

The first time I went my eyelashes were applied flawlessly and looked amazing. However, I had asked for silks and was charged for a faux minks and given a new set at $140. The receptionist was extremely rude to me and said "well you could have gotten REAL mink lashes and paid $300 so....". I never made a big deal about it because my lashes looked better than they ever have. HOWEVER, I came back less then two weeks later today to get a two week fill. When I looked at my eyelashes in the mirror , many of them were hanging off of my eyelashes and looked as if they had not been placed far enough down. I brushed through them with the eyelash brush and at least ten fell out. This was about five minutes after I walked out of the place. I went back in to explain the problem and the receptionist was again very rude about it. She didn't even look at them and told me shedding is normal and maybe it was extra lashes that she cleaned off of me. Even if that was he case the lashes shouldn't have been cleaned off of me onto my clothes and in my hair....anyway I waited for my technician so she could re look at them, she stacked a few more on and told me there was nothing wrong. Now that I am home and can look at them they are twisting around each other and falling out. Absolutely terrible. read more
