Service tech left for vacation and never contact us about our vehicle. Told it would be ready on a Monday, but no one called. Called Service department about status of truck, but no one would answer the phone. Left messages, called numerous times, final reach service manager to find out truck was still not ready. Told it would be ready Tuesday but by 4:00 pm still no word. Called multiple times again for no one to answer. Left message for service manager. Finally heard back at 5:00 pm that it was ready. Picked up truck only to see that my dash and glove compartment were scraped up. Furious with service. Now I have to go back for them to repair or replace dash. Horrible experience!!! read more

I'm $3,500 into motors in my dashboard that were all burnt out because I needed the drains cleaned out from my sunroof. When I brought it in for repair of the first two motors, they fixed them, but did not clear those drains. after that repair, I started to look for the root cause of the issue and found that water was backing up in the dash because the drains were clogged. Fixed it by looking at YouTube videos and cleared them out myself with a five dollar can of compressed air. I called the dealership and asked why they didn't recommend that cleaning when they replaced the first $2,000 worth of motors. The representative at the time said it was a bad thing that they hadn't recommended it when they replace the two motors. I just took it back in to have another $1,200 repair to replace the motor for the defrost. I won't be buying my next car from there. read more

I purchased a new 2019 Lincoln Nautilus (purchase date 11/20/2019) to replace a 2011 Lincoln MKX (I have always driven Fords - 1984 Escort, 1990 Aerostar, Windstar, Escape, Mariner, MKX and my husband has owned F150's, Explores and now a 2020 Aviator). All purchased from Dick Strauss Ford and now Sheehy of Midlothian. The 2019 Nautilus has leaked due to a manufacture defect since the day I took possession of the vehicle. Sheehy service worked on it multiple times from early 2020 to fall of 2021 each time telling me when I picked it up that they had fixed the problem. This car has been soaked with rain water multiple times as this was NOT a small intake of water. I reached out to Sheehy and Lincoln as early as 2020 asking for them to buy the car back and each time I have been told "they will not make me an offer at this time". In May of 2021 the dashboard on the 2019 Nautilus started to black out so I had no idea how fast I was going, etc. Sheehy says they couldn't out what was causing this - I believe it to be the water logged electronics. On Saturday, April 23, 2022 we noticed a horrible smell and discovered the car had leaked again and the carpets were soaked. The car was dropped off Thursday, April 28, 2022 to be looked at April 29, 2022 and when I dropped the car off I asked as I always do please contact me about my car (not my husband). I never was contacted and after finishing work on 29th I tried to get info on the car and was told no one knew anything and it would be Monday, May 2, 2022 before anyone could tell me anything about the car. Sheehy did send my husband a text at 7:30am on 4/29/22 but he didn't get a chance to relay the information because we both work full time and he responded to the text to contact my phone number. I have requested multiple times to be called and not text about this Lincoln (Lincoln should have that request in their system and assured me that wouldn't be problem to actually be called on the phone). Sheehy says they can't change which phone number is contacted since we are husband and wife and on the same account. No information was texted to my husband about keeping the car all weekend, what it would cost us for this repair or any update on what was taking place with this vehicle. This morning 5/2/22 I did get a call from Sheehy and they are saying this was leaves that clogged the sunroof. I asked why leaves are getting into this car as all my Fords & Lincolns had sunroofs and I've never had these issues before. Sheehy said this repair is on me BUT he wanted to be go "good guy" he will cover the cost for the sunroof but if I want new carpet I would have to pay for that. This carpet has been soaked so many times it is not healthy. March11, 2022 we found a large leak in the 2020 Aviator and the Sheehy employee laughed when he returned the car to my husband explaining that it was also a factory defect and "probably" been leaking since we took possession of that vehicle January 1, 2020. There is definitely a pattern of Lincoln not completing assembly of these luxury vehicles. I am very frustrated with the Sheehy and Lincoln as I keep asking for a buy out price on the 2019 Nautilus as I want out of this car. All you hear in the news is how you can get rid of used vehicles - for me as a woman with a factory defective vehicle I have been told they can't give me buy out quote because I contacted Lincoln, as of 4/30/22 when I physically went by the dealership - I was told I can't get a quote on the 2019 Nautilus because it is disassembled and they have to be able to drive it to give me a quote. I like buying America made products and using local businesses but this is not a good product nor good business behavior by either Sheehy of Midlothian or Lincoln. read more

Purchased a Ford Edge here a few years ago; made sense as we had two other Fords in the family. When service was needed for any one of the vehicles, the service staff ALWAYS recommended unneeded repairs. Once when the Edge was in for an oil change, I was told both new tires and brakes were needed. Problem was while the car was three years old, it had less than 12,000 miles on it. The tires and brakes were fine (and still are); the service person just assumed new tires and brakes were needed. When I pointed this out, the service person blushed as she had lied when she said they had inspected both the tires and brakes . Most recently I received notice of a recall from Ford for our 2013 Focus, it was suggested that I bring it in after the first of the year. This dealership attempted a bait and switch. I obtained a truecar price for an AWD premium Mach-E. They took a $500 deposit and set up time to pick up the car. The text communication clearly stated it was for the premium AWD. When I arrived to pick up the car, all sticker information had been removed indicating the car they were selling me was a RWD select model. This is totally wrong and not true. Terrible customer service. Well it's now 4-26-19 and guess what? No return or follow up call from Sheehy Ford. Not surprised. In other news, took my Escape to Ganley Ford in Ohio. WOW, what a difference, they couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating to our family. The most incredible part of the experience, they fixed my hatch in 5, yes, 5 minutes! They didn't cause any damage (as did Sheehy). Ganley gave us a car for the day, but by the time we arrived at our relatives home they were calling to say the hatch was all fixed! After a year of dealing with Sheehy Fords incredibly cold and inept customer service we can tell you they will NEVER EVER see us again. On 08/1/2022 I purchased a used 2019 Ford Flex from Sheehy Ford on Midlothian in Richmond VA. Upon inspection of the vehicle I noted that there was damage to the interior and exterior. There was damage and vulgar language carved into the GPS/Radio screen (Fu*k you evan) as well as the passenger dashboard "CHEATER", the rear drives side cargo window did not match the car as it had been busted out by previous owners during a crime of passion / domestic volience event prior to my ownership. There were also other items listed on the We OWE form signed by the dealership. Sheehy ford assured me that the damages would be fixed and in fact majority of the items were on back order due to the pandemic. After several months of follow up on 11.11.2022 The vehicle went in for a week to have repairs to be done. Upon dropping the vehicle off I had explained prior to several people , I have two mentally and physically handicap adults in my home and that's why I needed a larger vehicle. I was given no choices and fact looked at funny when I questioned the fact that was being loaned a small SUV despite purchasing a large SUV. The vehicle was kept for a total of a week and upon pick up on 11.20.2022 noted the dash , and windows on the back did not match and repairs were not completed to satisfaction. The cashier on 11.20.2022 Told me a manager would contact me on Monday 11.21.22. On Monday I was contacted by several managers stating that they had completed all they could do for me at this time and that maybe I should take my business elsewhere. Would give zero stars if possible. This was the second appointment I had to schedule to get my vehicle serviced for recalls. My vehicle was returned the first time with no service due to the fact that they didn't realize until 2 hours after they picked my vehicle up that the recalls would take more than a day to do. My appointment was rescheduled for 3 weeks later. On the day of the appointment, which was a Wednesday, I was told by Travis Pearson that my vehicle would be ready by Friday. I called Friday afternoon to get an estimated time of completion due to me having another appointment that day since no one had been in contact with simce the day the vehicle was picked up. I was told that Travis was out and the advisor covering his team had no idea on the status of my vehicle. I then found out that after 2 days of being there my vehicle had not even been touched!! I requested that they bring my vehicle back immediately. The craziest part about all of this was the fact that Travis messaged me on Tuesday (4 days after my vehicle was returned to me) telling me that he would be working on my vehicle in the next 2 days. Sadly I didn't have the best experience the last time I went here for a service. I had an appointment to wait at the dealership for my car to get an oil change. The oil change took over an hour (My appointment was at 10:00 and I arrived at 9:55). I was checked in right away. At 11:31, my advisor let me know they could add some more brake fluid for an extra charge. He told me that it would take about 30 minutes. At this point, I was the only person sitting in the waiting area at the dealership. I had plans later in the afternoon, but an extra 30 minutes would be fine so I told him that I'd like to get the brake fluid service. My car was finally done at 12:40 (over an hour later). I was the only person in the waiting area the entire time. Nobody ever apologized to me for the delay or anything. They also charge for drinks/snacks (which is fine, but also with such a long wait time and not being informed about the proper wait time it would have been nice if someone would have apologized or offered a snack/drink, etc.). I also was not checked out by a different advisor since he was "on hold with someone" on the phone. That is just poor customer service in my opinion to say that to a customer. Once I finally got back to my car, there was trash left behind in my car for me to throw away (the paper foot mat and service number tags). I'm not sure if I would return to get my car serviced here again or recommend the Ford dealership for car service at this point. read more

Bought a truck here and got suckered into the VIP Service. What a waste of money. This service department does not care at all about your vehicle or your time. I routinely make appointments just to sit in the waiting room for 3 hours for an oil change. No one cares, and they actually act surprised when you explain that this is not good business practice. They "fixed" my sunroof before I bought the truck. A year later it doesn't work and they "don't do that work here." Just go somewhere that cares about their customers and their time. I'm done, won't be back. Brought this pile in again front wheel and random other issues from the previous service appointment. The timing chain still rattles from a cold start. Im not talking about the direct injection noise. This is a loud audible rattle that lasts 5-15 seconds that can also be heard at low rpms while towing a trailer. The transmission is still screwed up slams into 4-5 and now 9, now there is a loud whining noise coming from the engine bay. They didn't fix my volume button they broke or reinstall the any of the trailer control switches they neglected to install after the last dash install. AND after the oilchange and "multipoint" inspection, a day later I was metal on metal on the rear brakes. 2 days after that metal on metal on the front. They replaced the front and rear rotors and it was assumed that when you replace rotors, you replace the pads. That's just common sense. Was up until 2 am changing the pads and rotors on the rear and midnight on the front. That's not only frustrating but knowing that I work construction and tow a goddamn trailer, that is completely neglegent and unsafe. I don't beat on my vehicles, I drive them and use them for what they are intended. I own a full size pickup that should be able use a full size pickup. The loaner.....When I am using someone else's vehicle I am that much more cautious. Turning around on a street that was blocked with my trailer, I gently drove over a curb with the front passenger wheel. Completed my multi point turn and drove along. Apparently that tore a hole in the side of the transmission. I'm no master of engineering but I've been working on German Cars (Audi, BMW, VW TOUAREGS) highly complex and sophisticated in comparison to a Ford. You don't rip a hole in a transmission gently driving onto a curb. Maybe on the bottom but not on the side. It just doesn't happen. The vehicle is not my vehicle and I could not verify it mechanically before taking possession just cosmetically. The damage was probably there prior to. If I had damaged the vehicle, I would have owned up completely and paid for what I incurred. My problem is with how it was handled. An effective manager would do his best to gather all of the facts and verify what happened before pissing off a customer and possibly (not anymore) a repeat customer. He called me, said I ripped the hole in the transmission and then accused me of offroading. (Yeah I have dumbass plastered on my forehead, take a base model 4wd f-150 with minimal ground clearance and that ridiculous rake.....okay bozo.) He said well there's mud on it. Well I work on construction sites and there's sometimes mud on the roads and on the lots. It was quite accusatory and then I was dismissed when I brought up that nothing else was fixed and the brake issues. Had it been handled differently, yeah I'd react differently. Sheehy as a whole, once you buy a vehicle, they don't care about you, their body shop is a joke, service department is probably overworked and understaffed. They have no idea what customer service is and its a get em in, get em out mentality. I love my girl that schedules and sets up the loaners. Steve is a nice guy. I am just stuck in my BMW mentality with the level of service I should be getting especially with a near $60k truck. He got almost every detail of the transaction wrong and showed he had no concern for my purchase of a 40,000 dollar car. I spent a couple of weeks looking for a used truck, I had specifications in mind, but not an exact brand - Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado, Ram 1500 - I was just unsure. I sent a message via carfax or cars.com (who knows which site) about a specific F-150 and Chris Christian responded. It was exactly what I needed, with all the right specs. We went to Sheehy Ashland to look at another truck, but it wasn't what I wanted. I told them I saw one at Sheehy Richmond online and they were going to have it brought over, but their driver was missing. So we went over ourselves. Chris was phenomenal! He worked with us, got us all set up for a test drive, and really showed he cared about getting us the right truck. We also made an appointment to get something looked at on the truck for Friday at 11 am. I wanted to move the time back, but when I called the service department, the girl said "Nope, it can't be moved. 11 is the absolute latest." I of course didn't believe her, especially since she didn't take the time to look up my appointment or open availability. So I called Chris on his cell right after and he made a new appointment at the right time and without an issue. He was working hard with everyone while we were there and he continued to work with us even after we completed the transaction. I was very surprised at the low reviews for this place. I took my car in for a few minor problems and they were able to determine it was the transmission. This was greatly concerning because I was about to move cross country. Steven Bishop, most specifically, was great at answering all of my questions and was extremely helpful. He texted me updates and reassured me that my car's transmission was under warranty. I needed to move cross country on a Sunday and he moved things around to make sure my car was ready by Friday. The cost was very affordable for the other issues my car was having. All around great service, prompt, and most of all kind. read more

Stay away! they are just money hungry liars. I went in for a problem that was already diagnosed and was told I still needed to pay $166 just to have my vehicle looked at before they would attempt any repair. I reluctantly agreed and was then told I actually needed $2000 of emergency repairs because my brakes were in such bad shape, in addition to the problem I was initially there for. Well I took my car to another dealership that told me my brakes had a couple months of wear left on them and my car passed state inspection with flying colors. Fast-forward a few more months and I decided to get everything fixed by another company for only $700 with a guarantee and warranty. Everyone should just do themselves a favor and stay away from all Sheehy dealerships. This was my 3rd visit to one (0 for 3 on good experiences) and the last time I give them the benefit of the doubt. read more

I took my car in for an oil change and the service writer told me my third brake light was out and needed to be replaced. The mechanic didn't know how to replace it so he tried to pry the housing out, couldn't, and said he can't replace the bulb. Instead of pulling out the bulb from the inside of the trunk, he broke the seal around the housing so every time it rains, I have a puddle in my trunk. They deny they did anything wrong. This place has TERRIBLE customer service. I have been waiting on a part since December 18th - yep, almost 4 months and the service department could care less. They claim that they have ordered the part but have no idea when it will come in. No way to track this kind of stuff??????? How about we order it from somewhere else! My vehicle is only 3 years old and I am without radio, GPS, backup camera and access to interior settings. My steering wheel heater is on with no way to turn it off. Bought my car here--had a decent experience--but too long to get through paperwork. The 2 stars are because the oil/service folks--they just seem to not have much "friendly" to you. You pay for the VIP service--but they seem a little like you are annoying them when you check in, and it took me 3 calls to get someone to just answer the phone to actually schedule the oil change. After taking in my vehicle for one fix, I picked it up to have something else that was working broken/now not working. My vehicle has been there for an entire week with me trying to get someone in the service department to do what's right and fix the issue they caused and all they want to do is quote me additional dollars bc "it will take a lot of man hours to fix". I finally got to the service director and was told "that's not happening". Customer service goes a long way. This is a small fix in the grand scheme of things and something that should be corrected when it was working before their service department worked on it. But worse is how the service people spoke to me. I will NOT be back to their service department. I will drive out of my way to go to another dealership. Not happy at all with the customer service that I have received here. First off I signed papers for a truck and everything was good to go until a week later when I receive a letter saying my payment and interest rates have gone up and I needed to go back in and resign everything Second I had a couple things taken off my old truck onto this new one so they gave me a rental for a day. I returned to pick my truck up from an audio place and was told to leave the rental there. I dropped the keys off at the dealership and was good to go. A week later the rental place keeps calling asking me where the vehicle is. It took me a while to even get a hold of someone at Sheehy to let them know and they never got back to me. Third is an issue I'm dealing with now. Shortly after I drove off the lot I had a light come up for servicing my tire monitor system. I had new tires put on but they never updated the tire system. I went back and they told me that I needed to go to a Chevy dealership to fix it. I have been calling several times to speak to someone about reimbursement but no one can help me and the one guy (Kevin Rogers) that can, never returns my calls. Do not get a vehicle from here. You will be sadly disappointed from the service. read more

I received True Car pricing on a Ford F-150 that got my husband really excited about trading his mustang in on a new truck. I printed out the documentation and met my husband at the Sheehy dealership. Before he got there, I showed the pricing to the salesman who did not blink twice. My husband got to the dealership, inspected the truck and we took it for a test drive. When we went back into the dealership, the salesman came back with the exact same MSRP as was list in the True Car report, but gave us a quote of right around $10,000 above the True Car price. When I again showed him the documentation, he took it, went back to an office and came back telling us they didn't put the price of the lift kit in the True Car price. Considering the dealership's MSRP was identical to the True Car MSRP, it looks a whole lot like false advertising. That was not the act of a reputable dealer and a complete waste of our time. I will be reporting this incident to the FTC and the Motor Vehicle Dealer Board. They can decide if further action should be taken. read more

Brought a new Fusion in 2020. Sales were fantastic, best car buying experience ever! After that it's all down hill. The service department is terrible. Scheduling is a nightmare, online scheduling apparently has "glitches" per the service manager Rick. Rick has a horrible attitude, very aggressive! Car has never had major issues but it turns into such a nightmare just to get simple maintenance done. They won't answer the phone, they don't return text, you have to fight tooth and nail for a loaner or rental, and they leave your vechile sitting untouched for days! This is for a SCHEDULED appointment. No idea how bad it would be if it was an emergency. Service Director is nice but doesn't seem to change how bad the overall experience is. They seriously don't care about the customers. It's just one excuse after another. I won't be returning here. read more

We have dealt with this dealership for several years and currently own (3) fords. My wife and I stopped at this dealership yesterday (Sunday) afternoon to look at a Maverick pickup that my wife saw on line. As soon as she looked at it, she wanted it! A salesman came over and noticing her excitement, said do you want me to get the keys. So, he returned with the keys and unlocked it and my wife jumped into the drivers seat. He handed her the keys and I told her to take it for a ride. The salesman said, oh you cannot take it for a ride! I said well just let her drive it around the parking lot. The salesman said oh no I cannot let you do that. The person that buys this car wouldn't want all those miles on it! My wife said well it already has 22 miles on it! Who ever of this type of BS. Then looking at the sticker price, I noticed a small sticker that took the total from the ford sticker and without adding any extras, showed a $10k markup with no explanation. I asked the salesman what this was and he said that's the dealer markup. I exclaimed $10 Grand!! He said yeah, some dealerships are putting a $15-$20 Grand markup! My wife said why? The salesman said "because we can, these are in short supply!" WTF? We drove to another dealership about 12 miles away and they had a Maverick that they just took off the truck. Terrible start to picking out a car for our daughter. The salesman is lacking any knowledge of the whole deal. He told us one monthly payment, and when we got to the dealership the price was $100/month more... we were told it had a full warranty, then after I pressed him to confirm multiple times, was told it only had 3 months and 4,000 miles... if we wanted more of a warranty we will have to spend thousands more... the car is for my daughter yet the salesman failed to make any attempt to talk to my wife or daughter and made it clear her wanted to just rush us over to financing to make a deal... reading awful reviews that others have left for this dealership and we can confirm so far this is the worst experience we've recently had....they could educate their salesman a lot more and take a few lessons in customer service. Mike Carson is awesome. My husband and I have purchased 2 cars from him in the last 2 years. Mike is professional and incredibly patient. It was my first time buying a car and my husband wasn't able to come with me. Mike went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and understood what I was signing. When I realized the car I went in for was a little above my budget, Mike found a very similar package at a nearby dealership for the price I was looking for. I've spent a week trying to get a simple oil change for a little truck. Called Monday? No we are full they said, how about next week. Called Christmas Eve? No we are busy, how about next week they asked. I really need it now as I put 800 miles a week on the little truck--called Thursday? No sorry, but... we have the quick lane for oil changes, if you get here really early, like at 7am we can get you in tomorrow. We only take walk-Ins from 7am until 11am. GREAT I'll get there at 7am...Friday morning at 7am first in line, I say I was told to get here early for an oil change. Girl behind counter, "I don't think so, I only have one technician and I have 6 appointments before you"..? I was told yesterday to get here early, answer, I didn't work yesterday. My answer, BYE FOREVER. Btw, I was given $100 credit from the last time due to service was so bad. Get it together Sheehy service because sheehy service can hurt business. Maybe it's because my lil truck is 17 years old and you only work on newer trucks, hum, another place was glad to get my oil change today.Ha! read more

I WILL NEVER BUY A CAR OR TRUCK FROM SHEEHY FORD AGAIN!!! I bought my truck from them around 2 years ago and had problems from the start. the first being my tires felt like they were gonna fall off. I got it looked at over 6 times with them never finding the problem. I took it to an actual mechanic and they told me one of the tires had a broken band in it. I also had to get them to put a tire jack in my truck because it didn't come with one. i also got them to supposedly fix my parking brake which didn't work from day one.They said that the parking brake line was out of adjustment. Come to find out from my mechanic the parking brake was worn so bad there was no pad left on it. Sheehy passed my trucks inspection twice while this was messed up. These guys are smucks for real. If i was there service manager i would fire and rehire everyone. They are a joke and i can tell by all their reviews that i'm not the only one who thinks that. Please do not waste your time these guys, they also told me my battery and brakes were bad on several occasions in which they were not bad. I test batteries for a living and at no time did my battery fail. When i went to change my brakes nothing was wrong with them.This place could use a better manager. Do not know how they are still in business. ohh wait yes i do from screwing unsuspecting people over all the time. read more

Just as a followup, the car was repaired by a mechanic at Station One on Hilton Head Island and he guessed what it was before he even looked at it. It was the rear wheel bearings. It is running great and he did NOT see any oil leaking from the Power Transfer Unit. I WILL NEVER GO TO SHEEHY AGAIN!!! BEWARE the misdiagnoses and possible unecessary repairs at Sheehy!!!!! read more
