    Supposed to be Sicilian pizza
    Vickie T.

Person that answered the phone and took my order was extremely rude. I ordered a Sicilian pizza, and got what you see in the pictures. I'm not sure what they thought a Sicilian pizza is but that's not it! It was a plain pizza made square instead of round. Didn't taste too great either.

    24 foot long philly cheesesteak
    Michelle L.

Omg this philly cheesesteak was so good. My mom is normally very picky about her food and even she thought that this was super scrumptious. I got the 2 foot philly cheesesteak. It came with a toasted long roll with generous amounts of steak, cheese, tomato sauce, peppers, onions, mushrooms and salami. I took my first bite and I get why the other reviews were saying that the cheesesteak is amazing. There is a setback which is the long roll may be a bit soggy on the bottom after maybe 5 minutes which is inevitable. The juicy steak may wet it. It is best eaten right after delivery. It was $15.25 for the 2 foot shef's steak and $18.36 after tax and delivery charges.

Very cheesy Strombolie Supreme & cheese fries
    Tamika O.

Our 1st time ordering here....... Great experience, tried the stromboli supreme & cheese fries. The Strombolie was very cheesy. Both were good & the delivery was pretty good, food was still hot. Will be ordering again to try more things.

    7. Greek Wrap

Did I order a Greek wrap or a Black olive wrap?? This was only from half. Can't make it anymore obvious that they are trying to get rid of a ingredient.. wont be ordering ag

Grilled chicken Caesar salad. Fresh veggies - bland chicken

I ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad. The lettuce was fresh, tomatoes was firm and the dressing tasted really good however the grilled chicken was very bland. If it was seasoned with salt and pepper alone that would've been a plus but it had no taste whatsoever.

    Pizza!

Shef's has been my go-to pizza place since the night we moved in (literally!) exactly 9 years ago. Over the years we've pretty much had it all - and we have tried other neighborhood places, and none are as consistent as Shef's. The thing about Shef's is they have great appetizers AND pizza. I have found other places around me that have great pizza but lame appetizers, or great appetizers but lame pizza. But Shef's has both. Mozzarella sticks, buffalo chicken fingers, gyros, salads, club sandwiches, deli sandwiches, cheese fries that aren't soggy and are still hot and melty when they get to your house, pizza, strombolis, hoagies.... everything we've had here is just solid and consistent. Honestly, I will miss Shef's when we move away next year. :(

It's true. It's worth all the hype…read more Was a bit intimidated to try this place seeing how the reviews say you have to wait 30-40 minutes to get your food but hey! you only live once! oh i also tried calling for pick up but no one ever answered so maybe it's not true. what's the ambience like? hectic! So here's how it works. it's a fast paced doorway where you stand on the left side to place your order. when you get to the front you type in your name and phone number then the person behind the counter takes your order. what to get? our friend said: Cheesesteak with Cooper sharp cheese, fried onions, and long hots (can get those on the side if you don't know if you like long hots) Most of their pizzas are great. The upside down is a classic (I like half sausage half pepperoni) But stars are the cheesesteaks took his advice and he did not steer us wrong! once we placed the order we're told to hang out and when they text you you get in the line on the right side for pick up. tell them your name and they ring you up! no where to sit in angelo's, so most people go back to their car or sit on the sidewalk. you do have to eat it HOT. okay i have to admit i grew up eating great steak in the mall and loved it. this is not great steak but a seeded bun with MEAT and i dunno is cooper cheese like cream cheese? long hots were like long jalapeños. it was good! the bread made it standout! the pizza was a great detroit pizza with an great crisp crunch on the edge. so yum! another spot i hope we can visit when we're in town!

Our server apologized for a delay in taking our drink orders. She was attentive the rest of our meal. I ordered a Charles deGaulle whiskey cocktail. Lemon, aperol and simple syrup added a refreshing twist. For entrees, my wife ordered the pacherri; a simple pork ragu with tender broccoli rabe, Parmesan, stracciatello and basil. The dish was delicious. I enjoyed my plate of sea-inspired tonnarelli nero. Bay scallops in crab ragu with fennel sofrito. Served with squid ink pasta that imparted a slight brininess. The pasta was cooked pangrattato style-- coated in panko bread crumbs and garlic. The dish had many flavors but they all came back to the theme. Cocktail prices and entree prices were very reasonable. They offer happy hour drinks and specials. Certainly a very good choice if you're in the area.

The short rib over polenta was probably my favorite thing on the table - it fell apart easily and the polenta underneath wasn't as heavy as I expected it to be. We got the salted caramel budino for dessert too, and I was glad it wasn't one of those desserts that's so sweet you can only handle two bites. Would go back honestly. Probably order something different next time just to try more of the menu, but I'm getting that ricotta again no matter what.

Been going here even before the location switch. here's a recent run down…read more Tomato Pie: Huge fan. four slices. I personally would order this as my meal if I could. room temp, oily, good crunch to soft ratio. Judion Beans: good beans. they are on a similar wavelength as butter beans. honestly I get them for the table for the extra bowl of oil at the bottom to dip the crusts in. Creamy Oregano Salad: very interesting. small shaves of mushroom and fennel. very slight bitter taste. oddly addictive. the olives were my favorite part. i'd consider these friendly olives to those suspicious of olives. and the olives are cut in halves, so easy to pick out. so are the mushrooms. easy split for a table of four. beyond that i'd get two. *ADD ON* pickled chilies: very good. I suggest adding this to the pie. they are green, spicy, delicious, absolutely lovely. Corn Pizza: all together very delicious. my favorite part are the cherry tomatoes on top, which I would really like to be an add on option to other pies. they are the perfect flavor and size. i'm not particularly a tomato fan, especially whole. these are a rare exception. Classic Pizza?: solid, no notes. good as always. My only wish is that they offered a sauce to dip my crust in. they have very good crust, perfect ration of crispy and fluffy. just needs a sauce. Overall, great service, the manager greeted us to check on our meal, our server was attentive, the vibe is great inside.

Makes it a great spot for a pizza date night. The pizzas absolutely are the star and they care about the quality that they put out. I've never had a pizza that wasn't within their consistent standard. The corn pizza, when in season, is a stunner and a reason to go on its own. The small plates are all delicious and if you like wine, the list they have is really strong always. All of the above said, every single time I go I see the bill and I say to myself, "oh that was a little more than I thought it was going to be." Has it stopped me from going back? No! And I don't think it should be a deterrent, but good to keep in mind. Like I said, the food is so great and the staff is as well. As a whole package, though? 4-stars!

This location had 3 employees behind the counter running all over the place, multiple ones asking what we wanted and not sure who was supposed to be working on what. For it not being busy, it seemed chaotic and more time consuming than it should be. Multiple people were checking on their orders, so there wasn't a good number system/time estimate in place. We got the gnarlic knots which were decently tasting, but since it was to go, we didn't check it before it left. They didn't put on the parm-romano cheese and they didn't include the garlic dipping sauce. It just seemed like the running around not knowing who was going what led to oversight. There are tables to dine in, but it's not too much to expect not to inspect food to go to make sure it's as ordered. It seems like this location was just disorganized and the quality of the food suffered.

Fortunately, I got booked on a flight out the next morning and found a hotel in the city. Other than running to a drug store, my only other time leaving my hotel was to grab dinner at Pizzeria Vetri across the street. I enjoyed the food, the service, and the ambiance. I was immediately seated upon arriving to Pizzeria Vetri. I was asked if I wanted to sit at the bar, at a table, or at the pizza counter. I chose the pizza counter so that I could watch staff making pizzas. As I was there on my own, the serving staff continued to stop by and check on me. The menu includes neopolitan pizzas (12" feeding 1-2 people) and metro pizzas (28" feeding 3-4 people). They make pizzas, calzones, antipasti, and salads. I chose a Neapolitan-style pepperoni pizza consisting of pepperoni, tomato sauce, mozzarella, and fresh oregano. It was quite filling and absolutely delicious! They also sell pizza kits so that you can make your own pizza at home. Pizzeria Vetri was created to celebrate the art of authentic pizza making. They aimed to create simple food made exactly the right way using the best and freshest ingredients served in a space where all are welcome.
