The food options are quite comprehensive. Et tried the chicken and meat kebabs, mansaf, fattoush, and appetizer plate. All the dishes were authentic and fresh. The portions were also on the larger side so keep that in mind when ordering. I would definitely be back!

I know this is a different location, but it has the same name and menu, so I expected a similar experience. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. As someone with celiac disease, I asked if the Fattah could be made without bread. At first, I was told no. Then the owner came over and explained that the dish is normally made with bread. I told her I understood that, but because I have celiac disease, I was simply asking if it could be prepared without it. In the end, they did make it for me without the bread, which I appreciated. However, the interaction felt uncomfortable, and I felt like I was being lectured rather than helped. The biggest frustration was the tea. As Middle Eastern people, tea is an essential part of breakfast and is usually enjoyed throughout the meal. The owner is Syrian, so I was honestly surprised by the policy. The only way to get a kettle of tea was through a breakfast special, and it only provided about four cups. There were four of us at the table, so when we asked for more hot water or a refill, we were told no and that we would need to purchase individual cups of tea instead. It felt disappointing and not very hospitable, especially considering how important tea is in our culture and breakfast traditions. I also want to say that none of this was the waiter's fault. In fact, I felt bad for him because he seemed to be taking the heat from multiple customers who were frustrated with the policies. At one point, I even turned to another table and told them to go easy on him because he was clearly not the one making these decisions. What made me even more uncomfortable was seeing the owner correct him in front of customers. He was using his phone to check ingredients and see whether the falafel contained gluten so he could answer my question correctly. The owner asked him why he was on his phone, and when he explained what he was doing, she told him he should already know the answer without looking it up. I appreciate that he was trying to verify information for a customer with dietary restrictions, and I don't think staff should be criticized in front of customers for doing that. The food itself was average. Several dishes seemed to be lacking salt, and I wasn't the only customer who noticed issues. During our visit, I heard other customers expressing frustration about the service, the tea policy, and the overall attitude. I had such a positive experience at the other location that this visit was genuinely disappointing. While I appreciate that they ultimately accommodated my dietary needs, the service and overall atmosphere were not what I expected, and unfortunately, I wouldn't return to this location.

We were greeted with a lovely lentil soup, which was rich and perfectly seasoned. Next came the sambusa, which was filled with delicious ground beef. The star of the evening was the mandi, which had juicy and tender meat, fluffy seasoned rice, and sweet and savoury toppings that complimented the dish so well. The lively ambiance and beautifully decorated interior were just the icing on the cake.

I always order the same dish; mini lamb mandi. It is a large portion, enough for two meals. I rarely finish it in one sitting. The lamb melts like butter. It's so tasty. I've tried the chicken mandi and Greek salad (good). I love their Adani tea and because I'm a frequent patron, I accumulate lots of points. They provide a sample of it after your meal. During Ramadan, they provided a complimentary fruit platter for patrons, which I thought was a nice touch. Service is great. Servers are lovely, helpful and kind. The interior has been renovated since the last establishment. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting and they are on top of their cleanliness, including the washroom. I hope they maintain their standard.

I tried a variety of the meats and they were cooked to perfection--tender, flavorful, and well balanced with just the right spices and sauces. Nothing was dry, which made every bite enjoyable. Even though it was busy, the service was quick and very welcoming. The restaurant itself is spotless and clearly well maintained. They also offer traditional desserts like Om Ali, knefe, and rice pudding. If you want a more relaxed café vibe afterward, there's a café in the same parking lot run by the same owners with very comfortable seating and even a prayer room. Overall, a wonderful experience that definitely did not disappoint. I'll absolutely be back.

I remember looking over and thinking, "What is this place that's so full of life?" It was bustling with people and had such a great energy. I had never tried Egyptian food before, but I was feeling a little adventurous. I'm really glad I did. A few dishes were recommended, but I was told the Koshari is beloved in Egypt, so that's what I ordered. Be prepared for a bit of a carb coma, but it's absolutely worth it. It was delicious. The mix of pasta, rice, lentils, chickpeas, and crispy fried onions worked surprisingly well together, especially with the sauces they give you. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Toronto.

It included fluffy, made in front of me (to order), falafel doused in a garlic and kickin' hot sauce over rice accompanied by a side fattoush salad and hummus. The falafel was cooked perfectly and had a fluffy and not overdone or super friend texture to it. The sauces drizzled on it were AMAZING, especially the hot sauce which the secret receipt he explained was passed down from his Italian born grandmother through the generations! I could drink this hot sauce and garlic sauce , it literally was SO good. The side fattoush salad featured fresh and crisp vegetables and was delicious as was the hummus. Everything tasted very fresh! I gladly ate there at the side bar with tall chair seating which allowed me to chat with the nice and gracious owner, Alex, who explained he moved from Italy and uses Italian 00 flour and other real deal Italian ingredients in his sauce. That is why his pizza is far above the competitors in the area. You are getting high quality pizza here because the ingredients are just superior. And, where on earth can you get an awesome quality pizza with shawarma on it? Here folks! My dining companion had a chicken shawarma wrap, the regular size, and it was HUGE. But, more than that, it was delicious and completely devoured. No complaints there. One thing to note is that Alex prepares things in batches and when he sells out he sells out for the day. Check my pictures to see a picture of the delectable pizza from dough he hand tossed/stretches in front of us. Alex explained the Italian origins of the pizza components. He explained with the finer flour and better ingredients leave you not feeling heavy or with indigestion after eating it. Alex takes pride in his craft and the results are shown by the food he produces. Located in a strip mall off a side street off Dundas street this spot is unassuming. There are two tables and a bar eating area in the store. The owner was super friendly and welcoming and the food was bomb. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area-you will be glad that you did. We will definitely be back before this trip is over. Thank you, Alex!

I called ahead this time, and they had lamb shawarma pizza, so we headed over right away. There are only two tables inside. Unfortunately, both were empty when we got there. My husband got the lamb shawarma wrap (super size), and I ordered a medium lamb shawarma pizza because that's the smallest size they offer for lamb shawarma pizza. The food took about 15 minutes. The pizza looked and tasted amazing. I ate 1/3 of the pizza myself because it was so good. My husband really enjoyed the wrap too, but when he tried the pizza after finishing the wrap, he liked the pizza even more, and this is in a full stomach already. Overall, I highly recommend this place. This is a family owned restaurant, and the owner is a nice guy who makes great food. We will definitely be back again.
