I came for gas. No car wash situation, so I can't comment on that as others have. Simple shell gas station. Was super clean in my opinion. Most importantly there weren't people heckling for cash, as I've had some pretty unsafe experiences at gas stations as of recent, including being threatened days ago by someone clearly under the influence of something strong. I appreciate that this wasn't the case here. Gas is high in CA, so I never really complain about the prices because I don't think it's within their control. The kiosks at the pump were pretty clean, and inside there were plenty of food and snack options for people who have a longer commute. I genuinely have no complaints. I don't expect too much from a gas station, but Yelp likes when my reviews are longer :) read more

So I went inside to get a refund and the worker said they don't give refunds and there is nothing he can do about it. Now I have to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Beware the Car Wash and the a**hole attendant who will fight you for a refund! The system sometimes stops and resets mid-cycle and the dryer doesn't start leaving my car dripping wet and the car behind me advances. The attendant the told me it was my fault for not using the car wash correctly. Say it with me. "Sorry for the inconvenience, sir. Here's your refund. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. I went through the car wash and the dryer didn't activate for me or several other cars. When I went in the talk to the clerk he told he couldn't do anything and that I needed to call the number. I then tried the number and it is completely deactivated. Not sure who I can even call to file a complaint with at this point other than the BBB read more

The worst gas station attendant I have ever experienced. I paid for the Best Wash at the gas pump. When I put the code in, it didn't work. I went to the attendant, he said you must have done it wrong, wait until the car in front of you is completely out and try again. I did. I entered the code three times and it didn't work. I went back. He said he couldn't help me, I did it wrong. I said I paid $16 for a wash that I didn't get. He said I didn't go inside to pay so it's my fault. I said I went to the pump and he said which one, looked up my transaction, printed out the receipt with THE SAME CODE and told me to try again. I did. Twice. It didn't work. I went back in for the third time, he said he couldn't help me and that I must not know how to drive and use machines. I said "yes, I've been driving for 30 years and I don't know how to use a pump." He FINALLY refunded me after I said I wasn't going to move my car out of the Carwash until he refunded me. Also, the number for the business is void. read more

One of the worse ones to come to during the night time. from finding the same guy asleep at the counter (every time I go in at night, the same guy's always asleep), to him being all rude when you wake him up. I asked the attendant if he can turn on the air, and proceeded to say I need to pay. When I questioned it, he immediately got hostile with me that I had to buy something or get gas in order for air. I've always gone to the shell stations for air without paying during the day, so I'm not sure id that same policy carries at night time read more

f you want a pleasant experience, do not come to this gas station!!! The employee that is schedule on the afternoon shift, is a rude, lazy, sloppy looking, tall, dark skin, Hispanic guy. He would not help me with the vacumm. It took my money. He said he did not work outside the gas station. He said he only works inside were it's cool. He said I had to leave and to return the next day to speak to the manager. When I asked him to give me his name, he refused, said "no. I will not give you my name, and I can't help either. The guy a tall dark haired shaved at the sides (the same guy that will never give you change out of a 20 for a dollar to use the vacuum machine) left me inside the car wash ! that stopped its cycle right after my car was covered in soap everywhere and refused to turn it back on since I didn't print a receipt? He said "on camera my machine works so it's your fault??" I said on camera I paid ! I also called multiple times from my car to only receive a busy signal as I was stranded in there and finally when I waded through all the soap to run into the cashier area found he was on the phone laughing with a friend I know because oh I'll have to call you later bro. I was covered in suds and he could care less.he just started yelling at me so I yelled back . I was extremely nice and trying to joke at first because of the way he treats me each time I use the vacuum I called the police on him then and I'm filing a report with the BBB . How do you guys sleep at night getting away with this behavior? I asked for the owners number and he said it's personal business so the police found the owners information for me via the BBB. One of the worst gas stations in all of Los Angeles. Every time I go here, there's a problem: the pump's not working, the button's not working, the car wash not working, etc. no matter who I have asked for help inside, they've always been dismissive amd downright rude. all they say is "thank you, have a nice day" but won't do anything to actually solve the problem of what's not working. Today was my last day of giving them another shot. I will not be back and I hope nobody else goes here either. Echoing other reviewers who warned not to use the carwash. I paid twice because their receipt machine on the pump I was at was not working at I didn't think I was charged for it when I pumped gas. Then I paid again at the wash. Brought the receipt inside and the attendant said there's nothing he can do about it and to call my credit card company to have them stop payment. He also directed me to the phone number listed on the outside of the building which went to a dead line. Plenty of other car washes in the area so don't bother with this one! read more

Shell Burbank's does not allow Mini Cooper or similar vehicles through the Exterior-only Car Wash anymore.... There must be a few great drinking stories about that... Yeah, yeah. So we usually go here for a quick drive thru car wash and get the basic which is $8.99. On 9/20 we decided to upgrade and get the "best wash" which was $11.99 and ended up getting the worst. We had foams all over the car when we came out. I went back to ask and see if there was an issue and saw another lady standing there with the same concern. The cashier was super rude and acted like we don't know what we were doing. She's like "I'm checking the cameras and everything seems to be fine but I'll give you just a one time code to wash the car again and that's it". Sure enough we go through the process and got stuck in the middle and exited with foam all over the car the second time around too and we didn't even bother going inside and saying something. This has never been the best gas station but for some reason they won't fix their restroom. When I asked the attendant how long it's been out of service they say forever and the owner doesn't ever want to fix it. I see the employees using the restroom, so there is nothing wrong with it. I come here almost weekly and the location is great! It's just west of the 5 freeway right off of the Alameda exit. Gas tends to be a few cents cheaper here than in other Shell locations around town, which keeps me rolling back every time, lol. The place looks clean for a gas station, though there is some tagging at the terminals. They also offer carwashes, but I have never gotten one here. It is a little annoying that every time I try to buy gas the terminal asks if I want a car wash, but I've gotten used to waiting to press no. The two outside terminals that are by the carwash have been very slow, though for a long time. It takes over a minute for the machine to read my card on those ones and then over another minute (maybe two) for the pump to begin pumping. This has happened so much that I avoid this two when getting gas now. The ones on the inside and the ones on the Lake St side seem to work normally, which is great! I'll keep rolling back here so long as they are either the same price or cheaper than the location on Victory, cheers! read more

I got a flat tire at around midnight while raining I pulled into this gas station tried to put air and it wouldn't hold, i called aaa and waited for them to to tow me. I parked away from the gas stalls by the air pump, the worker came out yelling at me saying it's private property and I had to move, I told him I have a flat tire just waiting on the tow company and he said " I don't care where U go but u can't stay here" the Main Street has no parking and the side street is dark... Told attendant I only got a partial car wash, rather than give me a code or refund he made me wait to check the cameras. I paid for the car wash TWICE because I didn't print a receipt. Instead of trying to help, he just dismissed me and just said call your bank they can cancel the transaction for you. I'm like OK, whatever, the lady ahead of me was bitching anyways so I'm sure he was PO too. But then it happened the SECOND time... I worked customer service job before so I can understand the frustration of people complaining but this guy didn't even bother helping at all. The man who identified himself as the manager is the worst manager I have ever encountered in my life. These two people don't know how to treat their customers with proper customer service, at least in my case. Why they were prejudicial to me is interesting, and given the vast amount of gas stations in the area, I suggest that you visit a different gas station and file complaints at will against the employees, management and owner(s), if there is or are any, of this gas station, to Shell's corporate complaints department. I stopped going to this station years ago... last week I stopped to fill up and get a car wash on my way to an appointment. The pump wouldn't take my card so I went in to see the cashier. He went out of his way, four times, to tell me that I didn't have any Ralph's points for discount gas. The owner came over and did the same thing. It was when I said to forget the car wash and I would just fill up that suddenly my 10 cent discount appeared. The worst part was the car wash... $9 for a wash, not much cheaper than a hand car wash, and my car looked almost the same going in and coming out, especially the back of my car... it still had dust all over it which seems impossible in a car wash.
