This place is a joke. They only accept cash or tap-to-pay--no card reader--which is already a hassle. I put $5 into their coin machine and got a random mix of quarters and tokens. What am I supposed to do with them if I don't use them all. So basically, you're stuck holding onto useless metal like it's an arcade from 1998. Also they don't accept dimes or nickels, just TOKENS or quarters. The "wash" itself is a scam. It's $4 for 3 minutes, but let's be real--it feels like barely 2. The clock starts counting down immediately, and if you don't sprint back to the machine and feed it more money before it hits zero, you're cut off. So not only are you rushing to wash your car, you're also rushing to pay again--while your paid time keeps draining. You're literally paying for the privilege of watching seconds vanish while trying to dig for coins. So don't pay with coins because you'll be SOL. To top it off, someone working there started harassing me because there were leaves on my car. No joke--I came to a car wash to get the car clean, and I'm getting attitude because it's dirty? Not sure the owner is aware of the purpose of a car wash. Between the payment system, overpriced time, useless tokens, and staff with nothing better to do than nitpick, this place is a complete ripoff. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

If you're looking to do a self-wash definitely recommend this spot. I usually go at night and its very lay'd back and not too crowded. A lot of options for the wash and they have a little sink to wash your hands or clean your towels or whatever. Don't usually write reviews but wanted to show this place some love. I came to wash my car and the man who works there came up to me and said I had too many leaves on my car and I can't wash it there. He said to go down the street the other car wash. It's pretty obvious that he does not want to clean the few leaves that would be washed off my car. Not sure why they pay him to work if he doesn't want to work. I always come here on my days off to bring both of my cars for a wash and vacuum. Price is good and I have never had an issue with the equipment. For my sedan, I spend about $10 for both wash plus wax with spot-free rinse and vacuum. Add another $2 for my van. And the attendant is usually out tidying up the space, checking on bays, and making sure when there is a wait that you're behind the right car. But I usually go in the mornings on a week day so I rarely ever have to wait. read more

Went to was my car today with my 5 year old son. I normally go to the Sonora Auto Spa, but my little one wanted to help wash the car. We pulled in the self car was, and waited behind one of the stalls for our turn. A man from the car wash approached our window and informed us the car was too dirty, and we were not going to be able to wash the car there. There is as sign he pointed to that he said indicating no too dirty cars. I asked him to confirm that they only want clean cars to come to the car wash, and he said yes. I said ok, and drove down the street to the other self wash, and was greeted by another gentleman who also stopped us from washing our car. He said they are owned by the same person and that they don't want any dirty cars, just clean ones. I really thought it was a joke at this point, but it really wasn't. Wow.. What a joke! It's been a minute since I've used a self serve car wash, but this place is a ridiculous waste of money! First.. Minimum $7 charge if using a credit card or debit card. Ok, well no turning back now. The water immediately turns on and you best be ready to start washing! 7 minutes is not a long time but I'm not paying more or I could have gone to a standard car wash where my car would actually be cleaned! So I do a quick rinse. Then soap scrub. Rinse. And then try to use the tie brush. Apparently you get a finite amount of soap as I didn't have any now soap for the other 3 tires. Clocks ticking.. 2 minutes left. Damn it. Forget the tires. Rinse! Rinse! So tick tock, time's up, car is so not 100% clean. Oh well. Good enough. Let's go vacuum... WHAT?! $1.50 for 3 minutes. No way I'm gonna get my whole car vacuumed in under 3. Damn it. I should have gone to a regular car wash! SH!T! Oh and did you need a towel to dry your car? That'll be another dollar. What a joke! I have come here once every week or so for 10 months since I moved nearby. I wash my car and use the vacuums. Today the attendant yelled at me for getting quarters because I got "too many". I used a ten instead of a five by mistake. I apologized. I then was yelled at for drying my windows in the bay. There was nobody in line behind me let alone in the lot. I love this car wash because it is inexpensive and it makes your car look just as good as if you went to a high end car wash. It costs $2.50 for a basic hand wash. They also have the tire cleaners in each bay. There are four bays and roughly nine dry off bays. There are two change machines as well. I have never really experienced any issues and you frequently see the owner walking around. read more

I took a trip to Vegas in my 2019 accord and man did the bugs do a number on my car, so I got home unloaded and headed over to this wash that's around the corner from my house. I try to avoid these coin operated washes because the brushes are filthy and they cause tons of swirls but I brought a microfiber wash mit and towels so I decided to go for it. I wash my car like this once a week or so but usually at the other wash on victory, I put five bucks in the change machine and was given 19 quarters and a nickel. Luckily the attendant was there and refunded me my quarter, any who I proceed to wash the car and frankly the time here is less than at the wash down the street, combine that with dim lighting and no where to ring out your towel and I don't see myself coming back read more

I'm a regular at the Zeavy Car Wash down the street from this place. Unfortunately, Zeavy's was extremely busy today, so I turned around and came to this place to give it a try. Judging by the look of the place, I should have turned back around and gone back to Zeavy. This place is a dive. The price is okay, and when I started the wash, I was surprised how good the water pressure was. I am an auto detailing enthusiast and just like to rinse off my car before taking it home to fully wash and detail. When I returned home, I was shocked to find extremely hard water spots that had etched into my paint! I use great Meguiars sealant and wax, and the "spot free" at this location is obviously very hard water, that it ate through the protection on my paint!! I literally had to spend hours today hand polishing out the etched spots. I should have just machined polished them out... With this experience, I will never return to this location. Do yourself a favor and go to Zeavy's. It's busy for a reason, as it's a great car wash, and the attendant is always there and very friendly. Lesson learned today. To this place's owner... clean up the place and install softer water for final rinse. read more

Off the bat you're not gonna get like some professional deep cleaning car situation, it's a self service car wash so I don't know why people complain ‍ if you're trying to save some bucks and have a decently clean car this is the place! Granted there is some equipment that needs repairing but usually that happens fairly soon, the prices for vacuuming and amenities are pretty cheap and get the job done. This is my car wash of choice. I've been coming here for years. You do need to be prepared in order to save money. Bring your own towels. Definitely spot treat areas that need extra attention, before the machine starts running (ie., before you insert your coins). Know the order that you will clean your car (ie., pre-rinse, soap, brush,etc). The price for vacuum seems high, but, it has good suction. Simple, cheaper and you get some exercise. This place is where my family has been going for years to wash our own cars (my Dad was a regular in the '70's too)! LPT: I recommend paying the least amount for the 1st wash cycle and use that as your time to wet down vehicle and soap up with the brush. Also a good time to clean the rims (while you're not on the timer). Once that is done, add the desired additional amount (I do the max) and really rinse and spot treat the vehicle as needed. In my experience, if I allow 2 mins just for final rinsing, then finish off with about 1 mins of wax setting, that is a good formula. Happy car washing! read more

Went to Sparkling today to give my van a good scrub before a coast to coast road trip. Easy to find on Victory, halfway between Western and Alameda, on the west side of the road. Areas were all clean and well kept, trash cans were empty, not overflowing with garbage and trash on the ground. The washer works well, the soap scrubber was very soft and gentle (good for expensive car paint but not for scrubbing off bird crap). All vacuums were clean with strong suction, and long hoses are in good shape. Things to know- 2 bucks gets you 4 minutes of wash, scrub, wax time. $1 for each extra minute. I don't know who can wash, soap and rinse their car in 4 minutes. Expect it to cost $4 if you want to actually rinse it well, those suds get everywhere. As soon as your money goes in, the high pressure hose is on full blast, have it in your hand or get wet. As soon as you click over to soap, that sponge starts dropping gloopy suds, get ready to grab it and soap fast. Bring your own brush to do your wheels and scrub off gunk, bring your own towels. And if you have a van/truck, bring a step stool so you can reach your roof. Vacuum is about 2 minutes per .50, have all the crap out of your car and be ready to vacuum, or you'll be wasting money pulling out your floor mats while the vacuum is on. Expect to pay about $6-7 if you want to get your car cleaned in n' out, still cheap by comparision to detailers, and you can get your car cleaned to the level you want. read more

Heard of two buck chuck? Well this is two buck manual-wash. 4 minutes to race against time to wash your vehicle! Oh the challenge of it! High power wash.. switch to foam for a hummingbirds flutter.. then back to high power rinse... but there is one thing lacking at Sparkling.. no spot free rinse! I keep a shammy in my truck so I'm good. And done! Made it. You get a nice view of the la river as you dry and vacuum your ride. Sure it's plastic bags and trash rolling along but take comfort it's not on your yard and will eventually get filtered before it gets to the unimaginable sized plastic beach that is the pacific ocean gyre (hopefully). No pics exist of this place! Less traffic, less people, less money than the car wash a few miles up the street. Also the manager is always around to badger. Confession: I don't like to pay for car washes plus my truck is a rich emerald green so the dust hides well and I have subterranean parking. Went in to wash my car and got a little wet but that's expected especially me being small and the hose moving everywhere! Very cheap to wash your car and I would go back again. Just don't forget to bring extra quarters or $1,$5,$10 so you have enough time to wash your car and such.
