I really love the taco salads and the mango frozen treat here, but the customer service is lacking. The workers aren't friendly at all. Specifically, the older woman I usually see there. I think she might be the owner. I'm not sure because she never says a word. Friendly customer service would make the experience so much better. With that said, the taco salad is one of the best I have ever had. However, my rating reflects the lack of friendliness.

So for years I have passed by this placed and never thought to stop in. Well today I was determined to take this chance, hubby was like oh wow we going here!! I've always wanted to try it...we both was thinking the same things for years and never told one another. When you pull up you think you're entering this small lil dessert shop. Absolutely not, looks can be deceiving, that I know for sure now. You walk in and there's a huge area where they have the menu and party items to purchase, then you walk up to the dessert gallery( I say gallery because it's a lot to choose from). Then there's a restaurant beside that. You can sit and enjoy a nice delicious inexpensive meal. We had the wings and nachos...the nachos was the best we both ever had better than homemade. The service was really nice and friendly..true if you sit down for lunch or dinner they can be a little inattentive but once you request something they on it. Also they are clean and they constantly cleaning make sure you have a decent clean area to eat at. The cashier was my favorite she was so friendly and the most pleasant person I've encountered in years. We will definitely be back..crossing fingers the margarita be available to taste.

They definitely have great Mexican food also

Not only does Shelly's do bakery . Their food which is Mexican is hands down one the best spots to get food on the Eastside . It's located on hwy 79 near Pinson.. if you have a out on that end do your self a favor and stop and grab some food . You will not be disappointed. Oh and yes the pastry and the ice cream is definitely on point also.

I'm back inside 24hr, it's that good! Today I got the ceviche and street corn and shot a bunch of pics.

I've lived extremely close to this place for three years and had no clue it even existed. So I decided to stop there one night and I was not disappointed at all. The tacos were good the quesadilla was also good. My favorite thing about the whole restaurant was the paletas that I had the flavor in those ice cream bars were amazing. I would suggest you make a stop here if you're in the neighborhood.

Great little place in Pinson. I can get all my Mexican street food cravings here. They have a variety of street snacks like Mexican street corn, fruit cup, Dorilocos, prepared chicharrones, hot Cheetos with Cheese and mangonadas to name a few of so many different snacks!! All the snacks I have had, have been good! What I recently ordered were their Al carbon tacos which I have heard people rave about and they did not disappoint! They were very flavorful and surprised to get a lot of meat on them. So if you love your meat be prepared! They also have a salsa bar where I can choose my own toppings. Ahh and don't forget to get a very delicious homemade agua fresca! My favorite is the coco con nuez (coconut and nuts) You can get your cakes, flan, and chocoflan made here to go unless you need it for a special occasion then you will need to call days ahead. I'm still not convince on their cakes because the last two times the cake tasted bland to me, but other might think otherwise. As the name states is also a creamery, with a variety of homemade ice cream and creamsicles!! I have had quite a few of their Flavors ice cream and creamsicles and they are delicious! So if ever around highway 79 in Pinson, this is a stop you might need to do!

If your in the market for amazing authentic Mexican food this is your place. I had numerous Co-workers tell me I had to try it so I did. I've been three days this week and have taken two other employees with me and they also loved it. The donut was also great.

The vibes, the downright lovely…read morepeople who provide excellent customer service and the food all combine into this magic that you feel as soon as you walk in the front door and I just love it. In fact, I'm getting warm feelings right now just thinking about my time here. Their vegan option is a nopal taco (tender, marinated cactus). It's excellent, but what makes it next level is that SALSA BAR with the best salsas I've ever had. It reminds me of taquerias in California. I drowned my taco in all of the sauces. In fact, I could probably be happy eating tortillas and salsa here. Because, yes, the tortillas are that delicious. As is that guac. Again, some of the best I've ever had, gimmicky tableside guac included (never felt that was such a great thing anyway). Here, you get a generous portion of the creamiest quality guac you can imagine. I can't report on the margaritas other than to say they look gorgeous. The wine pours are also generous and the prosecco is damn good.

I heard alot of great things about Salud…read more Salud reminds me of the taqueria's in Mexico, with the Jarrito sodas, pineapple and mandarin Try them with a tequila shot! Also the guacamole, the cheese dip and the tacos. They do have a full bar and can do frozen drinks. I loved that you can add your own toppings to your tacos. The tacos come with just meat. You can add onions, limes, cilantro and pickled onions and pickled jalapeños as well as sauce. They had a Verde sauce as well as regular salsa, and a Salsa Borachja sauce with onion, garlic and Mexican beer. It was spicy and delicious. They have plenty of counter seating, a few tables inside and several tables outside. This is a tapas bar more than a testaurant.

When we got seated outside by the friendly staff, we were given menus and free chips and salsa. As I nibbled on the chips and salsa which were just okay I browsed the drink menu. There's a full bar here and plenty of options. Over the course of the afternoon I tried the Frida's Rita and the wonderful rabbit. Both drinks weren't in your face with the tequila mezcal, they were mixed nicely and had a well rounded flavor. I much preferred the Woderful rabbit though as it tasted less watered down and the ginger beer paired with the mezcal was almost quenching. Overall if you're looking for a relaxing spot to enjoy Mexican cocktails this is a good spot! We did feel rushed to get out of there, and maybe it was because we weren't ordering food. Overall good experience however.

First time a Frida's with some friends! It's a casual Mexican restaurant that has a HUGE menu. We…read morewere seated quickly upon arrival and immediately served chips and salsa (the salsa was delicious, might I add)! What we ordered: -Taco Salad (added steak) -Shrimp Tacos -Rumba Bowl (added shredded chicken and substituted white rice for Mexican rice) I can only attest to how the Rumba bowl tasted, but everyone's food came out incredibly fast. The bowl was a decent portion. It wasn't a ton of food, but it was the *right* amount of food- a fair serving that I would've made for myself at home. The bowl was good and my friends liked their dishes too. My overall consensus: Frida's is your typical Mexican restaurant. If I lived in this area I may eat here more often, but it's not necessarily something I'm likely to drive too from the outskirts of Hoover. I can probably get slightly cheaper and similar Mexican food closer to home. I'm happy to have tried it!
