The food at this place is so good!! Truly an amazing experience. The staff is so nice and friendly! My favorite thing on the menu is the ceviche and the hibiscus water.

This was my 2nd time trying quesobirria tacos con consume. Think of it like a French dip, but with tacos. They were delicious! I normally like my tacos a little bit spicy, but I didn't taste anything spicy. To me everything looked homemade, even the chips and salsa. My friend and I walked into a spotless, clean, & organized restaurant. The employees had beaming smiles on their face the whole time we were there and they were eager to help us. I was very pleased with my experience there.

I believe on the menu it was called Tacos Barbacoa: Beef. But also known also Birria tacos

Came here for Taco Tuesday during what I thought was happy hour time around 6pm for food and drinks. However it was not happy hour time but drink specials and taco specials do not happen until around 8pm. I enjoyed my Birria tacos but I did not enjoy the drinks. Margaritas was not prepared well and there were only two flavor options which were lime and strawberry . The friends I did come with also stated how the drinks were not good. Many of them ordered the strawberry margarita and stated it was a lot syrup / more sugary and was not properly prepared like a margarita. It was also the first night of them trying a DJ and the music was good. Food was good but drinks need a lot of improvement. Probably will only be back for the food and that's it.

I found this hidden gem recently off of Green Springs. We went for brunch/lunch. I got a breakfast burrito and it was HUGE! It had a ton of meat. It was piping hot when I got it and I really enjoyed it. You could easily make 2 meals out of one of their burritos. I enjoyed the green hot sauce that they provided as well. If you are wanting a quick meal in the green springs area I'd highly recommend trying this place. #bhamfoodguy

The only thing I like more than the food here is the fact that they are women owned! This place has a very pleasant welcoming atmosphere. The dining area is clean and well lit and the staff are friendly and professional. About $17 for the 4 birria tacos so I can only eat here as often as my bank account allows lmao.

Best birria tacos in town honestly wow It is truly a hidden gem of the town, tucked away in a plaza behind cvs They have authentic Mexican food, what is there to hate? Fresh made to order food

Let me start by saying it has been a while since I have eaten at this establishment. I happened to be in the area so I figured I would grab an order of the nachos since they were once my favorite buds from this establishment. Now before going I did check up to see if they were still receiving great reviews. Needless to say I saw the previous review regarding chips and salsa however I just assumed it was dues to the nature of the chips being made in the establishment. Boy was I wrong I am not sure if the chips were made earlier and the cook tried to re fry them or if he literally dropped them in the fryer pulled them up and threw them in the box. My chips were full of grease so there was no crunch to them. Definitely a big disappointment and waste of $13.80.

Excellent authentic tacos and quesadillas . Food was piping hot and very tasty. Lots of cheese, fresh spices, authentic mexican music and friendly staff.

This place is very small and hidden next to a Little Caesars. Don't let the outside fool you inside is very welcoming. I was greeted immediately by a woman who seemed to do take the orders and bring out the food if you dine in. I ordered three chicken tacos and chips with salsa. She brought out the salsa and chips, you can see that the chips are homemade. They have an amazing crunch to them and the salsa has a nice heat on the finish. I then received the tacos, they were delicious and you could see the freshness from them. The green salsa was nice tangy flavor and the red salsa spicy. I combined both for a great taste to the tacos. The tacos were single tortilla, unlike other Mexican places that have a double tortilla. When I finished the meal the girl told me to leave everything on the table. It gave a feel like a full service restaurant but a casual dinner. Another bonus is that they have both Coke and Pepsi products! You can choose either for whichever side you prefer!

This place is my type of vibe!…read more Trattoria ZaZa has been on my list of places to stop at for several years. Parking often deters me but after attending the Italian Festival earlier that day, we had a craving for pizza. I ordered the combo that includes 2 slices of the day with salad. Since I wasn't overly hungry, I offered him one of my slices and he added another slice to the order. We paid and were given a number to place on our selected table. Jazzy music played in the background while we waited on our order to be brought to the table. The natural lighting, while beautiful, made it a little warm in the building. One of the waitresses propped the door open that leads to the restrooms (which are in the hallway near the elevators) in order for cooler air to make its way in. That wasn't a deal breaker, but do be aware of that on warmer days. Our food came out after a short wait. I kept my 3 cheese slice, and gave him the pepperoni one. The cheeses were very rich and the salad, while simple without the frills, was perfectly sized and drizzled with a balsamic vinaigrette that was just the right amount. While I enjoyed my meal very much and the ambiance, he wasn't overly impressed with his. He didn't want the fresh herbs on his slices and knocked all of them off, lol. He's a simple guy with simple taste. This is definitely a place I will be revisiting with one of my girlfriends and not him next time as he didn't appreciate what ZaZA had to offer. Everyone we encountered was helpful and courteous. Our food, including drinks, was around $28, which was not bad for a cute, eclectic spot downtown. If you haven't been, make sure to try them out soon. Just don't wait as long as I did to visit!

That wasn't immediately obvious from many of the reviews I read beforehand, so don't let the hotel location deter you--this is a destination restaurant in its own right. It easily ranks among the better short rib dishes I've had. The service was equally impressive. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and struck the perfect balance of being available without hovering. The dining room has an upscale yet comfortable atmosphere that makes it just as suitable for a business dinner as it is for a date night or special occasion. If you're visiting downtown Birmingham--or staying at the Redmont--don't overlook Harvest just because it's inside a hotel. But I'm sorry the food? (In my case shrimp and grits) was NOT GOOD. And don't get me wrong, it wasn't a horrible flavor, but the flavors it did have were terrible. First the grits are not smooth at all. Like they aren't super course but they definitely could have been cooked down more. And they had little seasoning. And that's being generous. Then the "creole" sauce on top? Can we ask the audience what they consider creole? Because that was just pure tomato sauce. Like straight out a can, had to be. No way someone cooked that sauce from scratch or even with creole seasonings or typical additives I'm sorry I just refuse to believe it. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST... 5 shrimp??? You can't be serious. I could understand 5 shrimp if they're the huge jumbo ones but these are smedium at best. Like I feel BAMBOOZLED because no way I paid 24$ for 5 shrimp and maybe 1.5 cups of grits. But imma be honest I'm not surprised the food wasn't that good. Any place that puts on the bottom "we can't refund for food you don't like" that should tell you everything you need to know. But I digress My friends said the tequila sunrise was good so that's another star. Service and tequila sunrise. The only highlights. The venue is pretty but I don't recommend
