I've NEVER been to a Karaoke show in my life that turned into a full blown dance club in between singers sets... until last Wednesday night! If you are a Karaoke dj in Sacramento, it's time to step up your game, son. This dude's off the chain. His bumper music alone felt like a direct order to party! Between the Karaoke, the attentive/not pushy waitstaff and the ridiculous taco's, I swear I'm gonna start gettin' my mail delivered to this joint! You know those signs that you should pay attention to right away but, you don't! As soon as I walked through the door I stepped in sticky liquid that, I could have slipped on and then there was the waitress who acted as if it was going to kill her to serve us. My husband ordered the French dip and I had a wrap. My husband said that, the food tasted like it had be dragged across the floor and he was sure that, the little specs of seasoning was really dirt. Needless to say he only ate two bites. My wrap was soggy and had no flavor what so ever and if it did after what my husband said I was glad not to see any seasoning. Service- Our server Jenn definitely did not know the definition of customer service! My husband had to repeat his drink order three times, not that, I should care but, she was dressed like she should have been working at a strip club taking drink orders, she was more concerned with getting her drink on and visiting with friends. I have to say they had a very entertaining DJ Net working which, made up for the lack of customer service the bartender was also very nice. Boy Howdy! This place is the best damn place west of the Missippi! This hot little number I met on the Tinder took me here so we could meet and decide if we wanted to bump ugly's and I'll be a goats ass if this ain't the perfect type of bar I like to kick back and get crunk in. Bartenders and friendly and the servers are so sweet you could just sop 'em up with a biscuit! The atmosphere is nice. Some nights they have live fellers up on a small stage playin' tunes so dudes and gals can get up and dance together. Other nights they play jams on the jukebox thingy linked to the TV so you get to see the music videos while the music is playin. (Side note, what in tarnation is goin on in that song 'turn down for what?) So me and this chick start knockin boots for a bit and really hit it off, so we decide, since its where we first met, that the Couch needs to be 'our spot'. (gigity). So we hit this place up a few times, mostly for their garlic fries, and this bartender feller by the name of Albert was our server the other night. Despite the fact this dude looks like a long-goatee wearin Noel Gugliemi (that dude from fast and the furious?), and despite the fact he insulted my idol Blake Shelton, he was an alright dude. I mean being a redneck from Kentucky I don't really know much about these California folk but this guy didn't seem to bad. He made us some sort of berry foofoo drink, which I'll have you know I ONLY drank it cause my little lady was wantin me to try it, but it was actually pretty damn good! OH!, and the Couch has a porch where you can kick back and smoke a cig if thats your thing, but I have to admit, ya'll Californians cigarette sometimes smell real real funny. All in all this is a good place, and if ya'll try it out at all be sure to look for the bald dude with the long goatee and tell him bout this review so maybe I can score a free drink for me and my honey next time we stop in, since it's our spot and all. read more

I've been here a couple of times and I do like the atmosphere. The staff is always freindly and attentive. The food is hit or miss. Sometimes it's awesome, others, not so much. The menu is short and sweet, which I love - don't like to many choices, LOL. All in all, a good place to hang for the evening :) read more

My boyfriend and I stopped by this place to have a couple beers during the game on a Sunday. The place was packed with all the tv's turned up; both areas had a different game which I thought was pretty cool. The pitchers were a great deal at just 6 bucks each and the bartender was so nice! I had an awesome experience at The Couch! I went for champaign brunch on a Saturday and had an amazing server. Her name was Jen, a little blonde chick who was super friendly and attentive. She was quick to refill our drinks (which is a must) and helped us with anything we asked of her. The food was delicious! And the atmosphere was pretty fun too! A friend/co-worker and I decided to go to The Couch for our lunch break today, and we are both glad that we did! We liked the layout of the restaurant, with the flat screens, pool table, dart boards, seating areas inside and outside, and the semi-private couch area. It all looked great! The food and the service were great too! I had the Deli Turkey sandwich, which was delicious. We both liked the Couch Potatoes. We had the plain ones, but I think next time we go back, we are going to try some of the other kinds too. Our server, Reed, was awesome. He was friendly, and very attentive. We had ice-tea, and Reed came over to provide us refills and sweetener without us even having to wait! Awesome! We ended up having a great lunch break, and will definately be going back again. read more

Was looking for a comfortable place to stop on my way home from work, and was very pleasantly surprised by The Couch. The people, both staff and patrons, were very friendly. The place looks better inside than it does outside - it's fairly stylish and updated, and it's light enough to be welcoming, instead of dark and forbidding. And the food!! Not what I was expecting at a sports bar. Everything on the menu looked good, but I opted for the spinach and gorgonzola ravioli. It came with a side salad, green beans, and garlic bread, and there were probably six or seven good-sized raviolis. They were delicious! And all for just $10.95 - I couldn't eat it all, so got two meals out of it. The service was great, and the owner of the bar even admonished a couple of patrons near me to clean up their language, although it didn't bother me. But it's nice that he was so considerate. Started going into The Couch about a year ago and now im a regular. It truly has the " Cheers" feel to it. The food is great , great portions and always nice and hot. Breakfest on weekend mornings is bomb, you want something not on the menu ask, almost always they can make it. Its the only place i go now and it got great staff and the couple that owns it, actually interacts with the customers....Hit up the Couch, and almost gauranteed you will become a regular. read more

The ambience and entertainment are amazing. The bartender, Albert, is awesome. The food is the best in Citrus Heights.

I visit this bar on Thursdays with coworkers and Albert always takes care of us. Definitely one of the best bartenders around. the food and atmosphere are great too. Not a bad place to stop, recommend the burger over the French dip, it was about the size of a Twinkie. My buddies orders the burgers and they were a lot better. Came in on 3/7, holly was serving, greeted us when we walked in, kamakazis were on happy hour. I'm not a big fan of them but after we ordered I was glad we did. I'll start with the pros: *Nice staff *Decent drinks And it goes downhill from there... The place has no light out in the front, so if you want to find it, show up in the afternoon. I'm not sure what the smell was, but it had an old dirty dusty wall smell to the place, that made it hard to eat. Speaking of eating, I would have liked to have eaten that night. Had a Groupon, and figured you can't go wrong there. Well, you could have tripled my Groupon value and I wouldn't be back. Food was over cooked with no flavor. (One review said it was greasy...I wish mine was!!) I ordered a cheeseburger and fries, how do you screw that up? I ordered a medium well burger, that came out burnt, like black. I'm not sure why the cook felt it was appropriate to slap that on a bun, but it was barely chewable. The fries were pretty close to burnt, and had no flavor. Are we rationing salt? The person I was with ordered the Chicken Piccata, and could barely swallow a few bites, and this guy can eat! I actually had to tell him he didn't need to finish it to be nice, and he said thanks cause if he tried to finish it he felt he might be sick. If you have to eat something there I'd go for the wings. I'm glad everyone else had a better experience, I'm sure I would have to if I was just coming for cheap drinks. Good Luck! read more

Been to this place once before and had a good time so last night we tried it again. We walked in, not super busy, went up to the bar and was greeted by the bartender. He was very friendly and nice, but that's where the customer service ended. We got a pitcher of beer and sat at a table directly behind the bar. A lady (didn't catch her name because she never came back to serve us, but she had long brown hair and a sleeve tattoo) asked us if we wanted food, we said yes, and she handed us a menu. We looked over the menu, knew what we wanted and she never came by. Seriously, never came by! Other people walked in, she took their order. I tried to flag her down to place an order, nothing. She started to walk towards us, and then helped the table behind us. Seriously NEVER ONCE TALKED TO US! We finished our pitcher, thought that would grab her attention. It did, she grabbed our empty pitcher and walked away. STILL NEVER SAID ONE WORD TO US. Not even if we wanted another pitcher or more to drink. So incredibly rude. We ended up leaving and going through McDonalds drive through. Not the evening we wanted. We'll stick to Sterling Bridges from now on. WAY better customer service. This was awful and rude. We were ignored all night. We sat quietly at our table for an hour being ignored. read more
