This is the second time we have stayed here. The first time was because we were visiting from Chicago. Now we actually live In Boston and we needed a weekend get away. Price is right for a nice hotel room, pool and jacuzzi, great gym that is never busy, and a nice breakfast buffet! Definitely would recommend to anyone. read more

Amazing service, very nice hotel. We had to unexpectedly stay the night outside our Boston home with three kids under 5! The front desk staff were prompt and very accommodating during our late night check-in. I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you can't stay in Boston. It's about a 20 min drive into the city. The commute is rough in the morning between 8:00 and 9:00. read more

After I received the final bill and checked out of the hotel, I was charged again! They simply used my credit card on file and charged $9. I called SPG Customer Service and explained that I already receive the final bill (correct) before checking out. I informed Customer Service that I did not use any facilities or breakfast after receiving the final bill. Customer Service called the hotel, but nobody answered... They had to open the file to investigate the matter. I am a very experienced traveler and a similar situation happened to me only once (in Switzerland) and was corrected immediately. I am very disappointed with the use of my cc without my acknowledgment . Therefore, I am changing the rating. read more

When we had difficulty with a taxi service, resulting in my missing a business meeting, the staff at the hotel was quick to respond with solutions. I recently contracted the Sheraton Needham for my professional association's Annual Business meeting weekend. I cant begin to describe how thrilled we were with every aspect of the Sheraton Needham. The sales staff (Kelly and Melody) were always pleasant and extremely accommodating and the food was truly outstanding. They catered to our health conscious foodies with syle! Quinoa salad, grilled vegetable rollups and Boca burgers were welcomed by all! The breakfasts were gorgeous too-yogurt/granola parfaits served in wine glasses with fresh raspberries, blueberries and strawberries and lots of fresh fruit (including mango and papaya) nice sweet breads etc. The service staff was super friendly and got things done with grace and ease. The whole property has undergone a very nice facelift and the rooms were tastefully updated. The lobby, ballrooms and breakout rooms very well maintained and the new bar area and Soleil were a lovely place to hold a reception. We cant wait to book our event next year! read more

I have stayed here twice in 2014. Overall, the hotel met my expectations, geez it is in Needham. The food was decent, the happy hour and wine pairing were fantastic. Service at the bar was good however morning breakfast, unless ordered room service and too pricey, was an usual experience for me. There were not many breakfast selection in the restaurant but if you order room service, you get a full breakfast menu. The staff is friendly and the shuttle service is the Best. I will continue to stay at the Sheraton Needham for several reasons; not many hotels to chose from, the shuttle service and decent accommodations! read more

Really nice and super clean. Parking is $12 bucks but reasonable I guess. Room was ready early, quite large and immaculate. Bar was quiet but they had decent pub fare. Right off of Rt.128 so that is a bonus for getting around. Free shuttle from 4pm till 7pm to get you to the local spots and train to Boston. read more

Checked in Tuesday evening for a 2 night stay. Comfy bed and quiet, UNTIL 6:30am when someone began using the treadmill above my room. Loud, constant and thumping. Completely unacceptable to put a gym above a hotel room. They switched rooms for me...which meant repacking and moving my belongings at 7:00am in the morning. They are aware of this issue and still book residents into this room anyway. Since I wasn't the first this happened to, it seems unethical to wait and see if someone will complain. I won't be staying here again. I wouldn't recommend you to either. read more

First off, I want to apologize to fellow Yelpers. I feel like I am much more inclined to leave reviews of places when I've had a sour experience than when I've had a pleasant experience. I promise I will make an effort to give credit where credit is due. The Good about Sheraton Needham: There is plenty of good. The hotel lobby is spacious and inviting. There is an overwhelming earth tone throughout the place, but as someone who LOVES the color brown, I thought it looked great. As I walked to my room, the smell of new carpet was still in the air. It's one of those smells that isn't particularly good, but it's still very welcome as my brain quickly associates the smell with cleanliness. My room had two double beds and a couch, and was quite spacious for a standard room. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. Also, contrary to a previous poster's comment, I thought the rooms were very quiet. Maybe I was in an isolated section of the hotel that night, but I didn't hear any noises. All in all, it was a great hotel, if it wasn't for one experience... The Bad: It was getting late and as my coworker and I were laying in our beds, we were contemplating whether to go somewhere real quick to get something to eat, or to find a few things at the snack shop downstairs (Sidenote: the snack shop's selection is scarce). We ended up taking the lazy route and headed downstairs to pick a few unhealthy snacks to stuff our faces with. After deciding on our treats, we headed to the check in counter to pay for our food. There were two groups ahead of us who were checking in. It was a lengthy wait, but I do not blame it on the hotel staff at all. The first group had a million questions, and it held the line up. This is where everything gets weird. As we were waiting in that line, an employee who was in the check in counter's side room (And who was also there when we checked in) made eye contact with my coworker and I as we were standing in line. It was a weird eye contact that didn't seem suspicious at the time. He left his office, and I thought nothing of it. Eventually, we paid for our food and made our way back upstairs to the room. As we got into the room, that employee who made the weird eye contact with us was in our room. Before I could say anything, he said, "I...just needed to check a lightbulb." He went over to a lamp in the far corner of the room, pulled the string to see if it worked (it did), and then hurried out of the room. I was in such a state of shock that I couldn't even think of any words to say. How thorough is your service that you feel the need to inspect lamps at 1am? Needless to say, as soon as he left, my coworker and I ravaged through our belongings to make sure nothing was stolen. Luckily, everything was there. I'm thinking we got back to the room just before I became the former owner of an iPod. I went to bed really angered, and as I woke up I made sure to mention it to the staff as I was checking out. Their response was "Well, we can offer to give you free parking." I don't think they understood the severity of the issue. I wasn't looking to get anything for free, the hotel tab is on my company's dime, I just wanted to make the place aware so that it would never happen for future guests. There is no excuse to be in someone's room at 1am to inspect a lamp. So, since the staff didn't feel the need to recognize how extreme a situation this was, I felt the need to warn everyone here on Yelp. If you have any valuables, make sure you keep them locked up in the in-room safe. Or, better yet, stay at any of the other Boston suburb hotels that wouldn't rifle through your stuff in the wee hours of the morning. I will personally never stay here again. read more

Room was nice. Definitely the worst bar service I've ever had. Took forever to get a beer, the bartender would look right at me then walk away to talk to females. Be prepared to show some cleavage if you want to be served. Food at the in house restaurant was not good. read more

2016 On May 5th my wife and I had the wonderful opportunity to go to Boston from our home in FL to watch our son perform his senior recital at NEC. Unfortunately we had the disappointment of staying at your hotel in Needham MA. This was the worst hotel experience that we have suffered through in quite some time. The heater broke down twice, the second time we had to wait two hours for someone to come to our room to reset it which took less than five minutes. The room was extremely cold that day and with the rainy weather this made it that much more miserable. The housekeeping was almost none existent. The sheets and pillowcases were never changed, the ice bucket was never emptied, the trash cans were not emptied after the first night, the glasses were never replaced with clean ones or even washed up, the coffee cups were replaced once during our five night stay. The creamers were inadequate, there were only three for two people. We bought coffee cups and creamer because your staff did not replenish them. As far as the bedding goes I am strongly wondering if they were even changed from the last guests before we got there. We did not choose to go green, however you did choose to go cheap. There were long black hairs left in the bathroom and bathtub, my wife is blonde and I shave my head so they were not ours. I have stayed at many Sheraton's in the past without issues like this. I choose the Sheraton In place of a no name hotel expecting a quality experience. Sadly the Needham, ma Sheraton fell very short of the mark. Our issues where brought to the attention of the desk agent and she accommodate us a lunch due to your housekeeping issues. We booked our vacation thru hotels.com, we will let them know about our experience on both websites. Our vacation was plagued with hotel issues, including the hotel van blocking the handicap spot I was parked in. Never even considered your special need guest. So very disappointed. read more

Odd place. Supposedly this is a 3.5 star hotel. It has some of the appearance of such but works more like a 2 star motel with a depressed disinterested staff. I woke at 5 am to take a shower, and it took 20 minutes for the water to heat up to moderate. There is no fan switch in the bathroom. The furnishings are nice. The couch has an odor that is unpleasant. The physical set up of the bathroom suggests a low end motel. Front desk is quite horrid from the perspective of a service-related business, so I agree with other reviews. Location is adjacent to a relatively nice Boston suburb but the immediate surroundings is more light industrial and feels that way. They add on $12 for overnight parking -- I presume this is their way to compete at price point with other area motels, and to then boost their margin after the fact. $12 here, $12 there, and so forth. The soda machine doesn't work but will take your $3. Hotel staff refer you to call the number on the soda machine to get a refund. $3 here, $3 there. When I checked-in, the key cards didn't work on the door. When I got into the room, the room wasn't made. The core of the problem is likely the management since the same problems a noted over the past two years if you scan through the reviews for this hot mess. The building is just a revenue generating machine. So much for Marriott "quality". U come, u sleep, u scram. My son says many of the business travelers who work with his company are directed here. This hotel is nasty and smelly, the carpet was filthy the refrigerator sits in the corner of your room on the floor so you have to get on your knees to get anything and now the best part because their staff cannot count $50 was changed to my card for room service that I never ordered so then the manager of accounting acts as if who cares doesn't even try to make things right she just says you'll get your refund bye. Well it's been a week and nothing this is how the Sheraton conducts their business, think twice before you spend your hard earned money here. read more

Hotel is located just off the highway in an industrial park. Room and hotel was comfortable and well appointed. The staff friendly and helpful. The desk was unable to locate my reservation after quite a bit of searching. resolved by showing it to them on my ipad. Charging for Wifi in a business hotel is unreasonable. Good buffet breakfast but very expensive. Parking fees ($10) were included but i was paying full rack rate. read more

I'm a Marriott girl, I'm very used to Marriotts so I was hesitant to switch to the Sheraton for our trip to Boston. But I must say, this hotel totally changed my mind! We got an excellent price on this hotel and for the service and quality we received...it was worth a lot more! We chose to stay here for the value rather than emptying our wallets on a hotel downtown. Honestly, this place has comparable quality to an upscale downtown hotel. The drive is not too far to downtown Boston. When we checked in, we had booked a room for two double beds. Unfortunately that selection of room was all filled so they upgraded us to a suite FOR FREE! The room was massive!! Comparable to a major airport hotel at LAX or Logan airport. It came equipped with the softest king bed in the world, as well as not one but ...TWO giant flat screen tvs! I could not believe I was staying in a suite for only $90/night in the middle of summer. Yes it is very annoying to pay for parking but it is really worth it for this hotel. Truly a luxury for being way outside of Boston. read more

Better off elsewhere - SPG platinum and I've stayed here a few times and keep asking why each time I repeat the mistake. Parking for 10 dollars in a garage when this far outside Boston? Staff is mediocre the club lounge is usually bare bones and marginally staffed. Their are hot water issues - waited over 10 minutes for hot water from shower - when I called front desk they said "just keep running it for a bit." Newsflash - I don't want to be late for my work appointments due to waiting on your poor hot water heating issue. read more

I will most likely never stay in this hotel ever again. We booked a room for a weekend in September. Friday when we arrived there was no bartender working at the bar. When he did arrive, he only waited on three young guys that had been sitting there longer than us. There was a wedding going on the Saturday during our stay. The wedding party and guests partied until 5am. It was not just loud on one floor; it was ALL floors. Many people were just staying at this hotel to attend a BC football game. The party had a large space to occupy outdoors and there were people screaming and partying until 5am. When I called the front desk (at 2am)the gentleman who answered was rude and told me everyone from the wedding had already cleared out, but this was not the case. When we went to breakfast in the hotel the next morning, all guests were saying how they could barely sleep because the noise level from the wedding party. As we checked out there was no "we apologize for the noise level last night." All in all, the staff is rude, the price is unreasonable, there's poor service with the restaurant in the lobby, and why should anyone pay extra to park? read more

Would give no stars if I could. Charged my stay to third party provider and my credit card that was supposed to be used for incidentals only. Wonder how many people have paid double and don't know. Reported it and they did reimburse but never bothered to call me nor did they tell me it was resolved when I had my next visit. Next visit I get charged for wifi I didnt use nor need as I have unlimited data and my own hotspots. Supposedly that was fixed but I haven't seen it on my bank statement yet. Finally ended up here again my fault- thought I was getting Marriott Newton but I goofed. So with a knee I am about to have surgery on I had to walk up stairs because no other rooms are available and then I was told I would have to wait 25 minutes for someone just to help with my bags. An employee did see me struggling and helped with my bags. Finally got to the room and it was 61 degrees as the heat was turned off. Not sure what is going on with this place. I'm used to having rooms at the end of a hall or by the elevator with Priceline or Hotwire or even an unrenovated room. What I can't stand for is the shady billing practices. Double charging rooms and charging for internet I never connected to. I'm reporting them to the better business bureau. If they had bothered go return my calls regarding the issue I may have let it be. Now I wonder what an audit will show as to how many people were overcharged. Always stop by the desk and get your final bill even if you prepaid through a third party to make sure you weren't overcharged. I learned the hard way. This property is being renovated so many of the rooms are newly furnished. Yet they aren't appreciably better than a nice motel room that would cost a third less. Our renovated room had poor water pressure in the sink, no hot water the first night and no towel racks in the bathroom. Movie rentals are close to $20 each and overnight parking is $9. And I wasn't pleased to learn that they charge for WiFi by the half- hour. Their excuse for that was that everybody else charges too. Not. read more

Very friendly staff. The hotel has had a recent remodel and it shows! The interior is very modern and the overall atmosphere is very upscale. Brian G., at the bar, went above and beyond for us, and Edith quickly responded when we asked about the lighting at the pool. The food was surprisingly good as well. Annoying hotel: They charge $12 per night for parking, even though they are out in the suburbs, there's no refrigerator in the room, breakfast is not included and is ridiculously overpriced ($5 orange juice, $13 omelet), and if you're traveling with children, there is not enough space in the room for a roll-away bed. Also, the beds are uncomfortable. Very poor value overall. The only good thing is that it's clean. read more

Our room was very nice. The reason for the one star review is that we had some time to kill before a wedding, so stopped at the hotel bar to have a glass of wine. Despite the bar being open, we couldn't find an employee anywhere. Finally someone came by and just stood there folding napkins. When I finally asked if we could have a drink, she looked annoyed and said "what kind of a drink." I said any glass of wine would be ok, and then she was unable to open a bottle of wine without going to find someone else for help. Obviously she must not be a regular bartender, but I don't know why a nice hotel would just not have any employee around. read more

Impossible to reach anyone on the phone as if they do not want any business. I have been trying to get a hold of restaurant and bar manager to book an event. Called them daily, for a week, spent hours on hold, once I reach someone they take my name and message. No one ever called me back or emailed. The same story every day morning or night for 8 days, no one to talk to, no one who can make a decision. read more

Wasn't really impressed. We stayed on the club level, room 524. Bathroom was extremely small and had no fan. Toilet didn't flush properly. Our king size bed was visibly lumpy and uncomfortable. The restaurant down stairs was disappointing as we waited endlessly for someone to come greet us and take our order. Finally decided to leave and find a restaurant down the street after realizing our waitress was MIA. Upside was that the front Staff was friendly and attentive. read more

A few committee members and I recently hosted a 40th high school reunion in the grand ballroom. From start to finish, Ashley Patterson,our liaison, was fantastic! She answered every question, took care of every whim, and bent over backwards to make sure we got our money's worth. She was attentive and personable, responding to emails and phone calls in a timely manner. Even when our guest numbers were larger than we anticipated, she quickly moved us from a smaller function room into the grand ballroom without missing a beat! The food stations she recommended were just perfect. With an international flair, we had fajitas with chicken and beef and all the fixings, pasta with sauces and garlic bread and Asian lettuce wraps with chicken and shrimp. All were delicious. During the cocktail hour, a standing station of vegetables and dips and cheese and crackers was beyond my expectation. Passing appetizers made everything complete. Those who chose to stay over had a room block of discounted rates. The next morning the hotel offered a buffet breakfast for $18 pp or those staying on the club floor could help themselves to a complimentary breakfast in the club room. Joshua at the front desk was also great. When our room wasn't ready quite in time, he was quick to give us complimentary overnight parking along with his apologies. I heard nothing but positive feedback from all of our classmates and would highly recommend the Sheraton Needham for your next event. It's definitely worth the value! read more
