We decided to stay at this hotel, based on the positive reviews we found on Expedia...guess I should have checked trusty old Yelp beforehand, but you live and learn. Another perk was that we saved some money going through my husband's work. Well, I wish we would have investigated further before booking. Upon arrival, we were told there were no king sized beds available and we would have to go with 2 queen size beds - which were actually doubles when you get down to it. The lady at the front desk asked if this was okay...well, we have this hotel booked for 3 nights and just drove 4 1/2 hours with a two year old, so...I guess we have no choice. She gave us a complimentary breakfast a TGIFridays buffet - which was only good for the following morning, mind you. She was not apologetic and, when I asked her why our room wasn't available, she state, "I don't know, it could be for many reasons. Maybe someone stayed longer." Oh, okay. As for the room itself. Well. As I mentioned, the beds were more like doubles than queens. Not good for sleeping with a toddler who rolls around all night and is too big for a pack n play. Also, the tv wasn't working, it kept freezing and we had to have someone from maintenance come up to look at it. He did fix it, apparently just some loose wires. However, the tv didn't have a guide...just channel up and down. Not used to that anymore. Also, the mini fridge was not cold. It was turned on 4 (0-7). I tried turning it up - nothing. Alas, maintenance again! It was a different guy, and he was very friendly. It was getting late and we hadn't had dinner, so we left and he brought up the new fridge while we were gone. The old fridge sat outside our room for a bit, but someone did end up getting it eventually. The room was also dirty - pubic hair and blood on "clean" towels, dirt on the walls, the bathroom faucets leaked, and there were cracks in the ceiling everywhere - see photos. Also, no bathtub - just a walk in shower. Again - not good when traveling with a toddler. I cannot comment on Starbucks and/or the Rainforest Cafe, which were the only two other restaurants besides TGIFridays. We did utilize our complimentary breakfast buffets, since there was no continental breakfast. It was okay, but service was terrible. We ended up leaving the night before check out, around 7pm. When we checked out, the guy at the front desk said, "Oh you are scheduled to check out tomorrow?" to which I answered yes. No further comment from his and to why or if we had a pleasant stay. I'm sure he already knew the answer. Side note, the American side of the falls doesn't hold a candle to the Canadian side. If you are planning a trip to Niagara, the Canadian side has alot more to do and is alot cleaner. I would never again stay at this hotel nor would I stay on the US side of the falls. read more

Bed bugs...3 days of my customers being moved from room to room because of bed bugs last February, 2019. When Is reached out to the management, they were extremely rude and snippy. They told me how terrible my customers were. My husband travels all the time for work and always chooses to stay at the Sheraton. I planned a vacation four us and booked here, it was my fist time at a Sheraton and was completely underwhelmed. As soon as we got off the elevator we saw a dark dingy hallway with carpet that is bunched up and wrinkled. We got to our room (after traveling all day) and where exhausted. We laid in bed pretty much as soon as we walked in the door and I started to itch almost immediately on my foot .... After being in bed for 15 minutes I filially pulled off the covers to see why I was so itchy, on my feet where 4 big red bug bites. I jumped out of bed and high tailed it out of the room. The front desk gave us a new room with no apologies. I took pictures of my bug bites this morning and uploaded them( it's been a few days. It they are still here) **** we suspect they where bed bug bites, We immediately striped our clothes and jumped into a hot shower to scrub off. Our clothes where bagged and sent out to be laundered. The new room has spider webs and spiders along with stained all over the walls. The fan when turned on made a constant hi-pitched noise. We had ordered chocolate covered strawberries and sparkling wine when booking so these where brought from the last room to the new room. The strawberry where old looking and frozen solid, we never ate them. The next morning we went to get breakfast which was included in our room package. The food was disgusting, all we ate was the bagel. That morning we asked for the rest of our money back ( we where supposed to stay for 4 nights) and moved the the Sheraton on the falls. Allow me to begin with the short reaction: never again will I stay here. So, I came here with my mom to visit Niagara falls--it was pretty affordable and in walking distance to Canada, the park, and a lot of other great attractions. But when we first stepped into the hotel room, it looked dingy and not great at all, as if the room had not been cleaned. The bed sheets looked old. So we switched rooms and the sheets there looked a little nicer, but that was only the beginning. We were disappointed that breakfast was not included, though there was a TGI Fridays that was good the first night but their breakfast buffet was not okay at all (I mean flies landing on the food and plates in front of us--why on earth were there so many flies??? Perhaps this is more of a Friday's targeted review, but I digress). It may take too long to write about everything but service was generally unattentive for the most part. We called down to request items and had to call at least twice before we got anyone at the desk, half of what we asked for never came, we even had to wait about an hour for two bottles of water to come up to our room after our rooms were never made during the day. Thank God for one of the nice employees who was making other rooms and gave us some extra towels and toiletries. And also the nice lady at the front desk when we ended our stay who asked our feedback, took note of it, and gave us water. Oh, did I also mention the slow Internet? Yet still there was chit chat about a "hotel imposed fee that covers wifi, pool, gym, and other amenities." This is probably one of my worse things experiences traveling and with Sheraton. This Sheraton gives hotel business a bad name, 1- as soon as you came through the elevator you could smell the bad odor( as my 9 year old said not sanitary) 2- the room was loud , small and outdated as if I am in motel. 3- we paid for a concierge level, and what do you know at breakfast they offer eggs, oatmeal, bananas, oranges and some lumpy thing called yoghurt, coffee, & juice. That's all. Don't waste your money on a concierge level upgrade. Thank God for Starbucks next door. 4- the staff not friendly or knowledgeable at all either. They didn't t even know where the concierge was suppose to be. 5- we are checking out today even though our stay is paid for and is non refundable to go to another hotel- that's should tell you how bad our experience was. Had a 2 night stay at the Sheraton on our trip to Niagara last weekend. Check in process was easy. We booked 2 suite rooms because we had a group of 13 of us. The suites were nice. Each suite can sleep 7 fairly comfortably. There are 2 doubles beds, a bunk bed and a sofa bed. The room has 4 TVs. The only down side of the room is the bathroom and sink situation. There is only one bathroom and one sink. The setup is a bit inconvenient with 7 people using one bathroom. I wish there was at least a half bath or a separate sink outside the bathroom. The pool is really nice. Heated pool and 2 hot tubs which are nice. Starbucks in the lobby. Clean hotel, friendly staff. Great location a 10 minute walk to the Niagara visitor center and Falls. I am writing this as we are currently staying here for the weekend. We are so disappointed... Pro's: Tfront desk staff is very friendly and engaging. Parking is included. Close to the Niagara Falls. Con's: Our room: 70's decor with furniture that is nicked up, as are the baseboards, looks like they've been hit by a vacuum every day. The walls are very thin, we hear people in the hallway at all hours of the day and night. We are on the 6th floor, which should be high enough to not hear street noise, but we do. The bathroom is very small, shower drips non-stop, so the floor gets all wet, and no bath tub. There is no fan in the bathroom, or it doesn't work, so the chipped mirror fogs over. We've stayed a many hotels, and the soap and shampoo bottles are by far the smallest we'd ever seen. Toilet seat is loose. Again everything has a cheap feel to it... I've never seen such a tiny microwave. Things like the closet door was originally painted in a gloss paint, but then touched up with matte paint!?! The wall paper is is pealing up at the seams. The 6th floor has a scuff mark about 4 feet high that runs the length of the hall. The baseboards at the elevators are broken. The (6th floor) breakfast: At check-in, we were told it's included, all had to do was show my room key, but when I went there and showed my room key, I am questioned if I'm a member our their "upgraded" program. I didn't know what she was referring to, I just wanted to eat, so I said yes, "well, I don't see you on my sheet" was the answer I got. The attendant did let me in, saying I must have upgraded. The breakfast was very cheap. Cold french toast and cold potatoes were the main dish. Followed by blueberry yogurt and tiny muffins, bagels and bread. I have never seen juice glasses that tiny before, another way to encourage you to drink less. Since there only one table to sit at, which of course was already full, when I went there 20 minutes after they opened. I took the food back to my room. We tasted it, threw it away and went out for a real breakfast. Our overall feeling is, the staff is doing their best with what they have, but everything feels cheap. I would given only one star, but the staff was so friendly, I gave an extra star just based on that. Pool: This is clearly made for kids. It almost looks circus-ish, the colors and layout is clearly focused on kids, which we don't have. Work out area: Again very cheap, a few tread Mills looking into the pool area. There are a couple of restaurants on site, TGIFridays and Rain Forest Cafe, both of which were closed at 11:00 pm?!? On a holiday weekend!?! Both places were full of people, and we were turned away... what a joke. As we are sitting in the lobby waiting for the remainding people in our group, I can't help but notice how badly the canopy frame needs to be painted on the front of the building. What caught my attention was all the hand prints and smudges on the front windows. And again I'm noticing scuffed up coffee tables, frayed curtains, etc. I really was trying to find some good things to help balance out my review, but everywhere I looked, I found more things that stand out, and not in a good way. At least the staff members were always smiling and welcoming. Summary: Day's Inn quality at Four Seasons prices. Do you have a family? This is a great family destination. We were able to get two rooms for the ninety dollars each. Rooms are spacious and have a fridge and coffee maker which is great for drinks and snacks. The parking isn't super convenient its behind the hotel but main entrance is on the street. The signage could be better in that regard. We ended up having to u-turn in the street to pull in and there weren't bellmen so there was no one to help porting luggage. There is a Starbucks on the first floor; along with a TGI Friday's and a Rain Forrest Cafe. This is convenient for breakfast and lunch. The location is great This hotel is centrally located only a couple blocks from Maid of the Mist and the the Viewing deck. The park has a trolley that goes between the attractions like Cave of Winds, the Aquarium etc. The hotel is also attached to an arcade and has a great indoor pool for the entire family. The pool is kept warm. There are two hot tubs, that were not too hot. We spent more than an hour there this evening. They also have real beach towels at the pool. My son commented on.their softness. So... this hotel is ok. We were there for 2 days. We reserved a king room, ended up in a handicap room with terrible view. The service was really good. In fact they are the reason I am giving 3 stars! My biggest problem was the noise... I could hear the people sneezing in the room beside us! Kids playing in the halls... the cleaning staff talking and bumping the walls with stuff. I mean I expect things to be a little bit noisy, but this was unreal. My review is specifically with regard to a banquet/fundraiser attended for the Niagara County SPCA. As a volunteer for the event, I spent much more time there than just the average attendee. I was able to witness some of the preparation that went into the event by the staff and how pleasant and accommodating everyone was. The event had a Mardi Gras (Mardi Paws!) theme, and the room & tables were decorated beautifully in with the appropriate colors and décor. The buffets and bar were set up in the hall, leaving the main room for our raffle, auction, music & dining. Everyone of the staff made sure all of our needs were met. When the time to eat rolled around, the appetizer trays were filled with many varieties of cheese, crackers and fruit. Much of the cheese was Yancy's Fancy artisan varieties which gave people the opportunity to sample some flavors which they may not have otherwise tried. And, all of the cheeses were labeled with its flavor, so there were no surprises. The main course was a plethora of Cajun delights! Luckily, since the event advertised a Cajun buffet, attendees were ready for and expecting the spice. And, it did not disappoint. One thing was better than the next, and again, all items were appropriately labeled. All in all, it was a pleasure to attend and volunteer at this event. We heard so many compliments from attendees that it was our best Mardi Paws yet! (This was the 3rd annual event.) Honestly, I was a bit worried to stay here based on the reviews. But I honestly don't know what everyone is griping about. It was a beautifully updated, modern, clean, spacious, and comfortable hotel. Maybe some floors/rooms are more updated than others? We stayed in a king room on the 5th floor that looked out at the Seneca Casino. It was very modern and recently updated, very clean, spacious, and try as a I might, I was hard pressed to find anything wrong with our accomodations. I wish there were extra pillows kept in the closet so we didn't have to call down for more (the king size bed had 4 on it). Everything is within reasonable walking distance from the hotel, huge plus. The "covered walkway" over to the Casino, be FOREWARNED - it's not all fully enclosed, so you better bring your winter jacket with you b/c you are OUTSIDE (though there is a cover above you) during the walk. My other issue is that I KNOW Sheraton has beautiful robes for guests, as I've had them at other hotels and I saw someone at the pool wearing one. PLEASE put these in your rooms, Sheraton! The pool area has huge signs all over to "LEAVE POOL TOWELS IN POOL AREA", however, to get to the pool, you have to walk a good distance from the elevators, through the lobby, and past TWO SETS OF EXTERIOR DOORS. We stayed in December: the air coming through those exterior doors was 20 degrees during our stay. In a wet bathing suit, this is like TORTURE. (let alone just the yuck of having to walk through a crowded lobby...) The pool area is HUGE with ample, modern, updated seating. There are two VERY large hot tubs in the back area that were perfectly hot and soothing (if not highly chlorinated). The pool is HUGE, thank god, b/c even in the dead of winter (slow season in Niagara Falls) it was PACKED with people on a Saturday evening. Oooh, and it's open until 11pm! Awesome. I will agree with the most recent review that the pool area is HIGHLY overchlorinated or has a poor ventilation system. After an hour in there, I found it hard to breathe and my eyes were hurting. i don't mind high chlorination since it tells me "IT's CLEAN" but you gotta improve ventilation, then! That single shark, swimming in circles in that tank... with no other coral, decoration, distractions.... it's very sad. Even my four year old child was like "Mommy, that shark looks so sad in there." :( The outside of the Sheraton boasts a CORAL DISPLAY... ummm... it's a single 10 foot long tank with some tropical fish in there. Definitely not a selling point. Cute, fun, something "different" from your normal pool area--- but not a hotel highlight, c'mon. We had free breakfast at the TGI Fridays - on Sunday morning, they served a buffet. Looked amazing, but all the food was basically horrible (see separate review for that). I'm glad we didn't have to pay money for it, it wouldn't be worth $5.00. :( read more

Check-in was fine...glad I read ahead of time about the 2nd floor being the floor that allows pets so when I saw the receptionist write my room number I had to ask to not be on the 2nd floor, you'd think they would ask if it was ok before assigning you the room due to allergies and people not wanting to hear dogs barking. The room was ok as far as cleanliness, the rugs were stained and outdated, chairs had stains on them. Beds were fine and comfy. They don't tell you about the 'parking and amenities fee'. When they offer to validate your parking, you'd think that means you won't have to pay for it. Nope. $21.56 added to my bill. The pool area is nice, but you have to walk through the lobby, past the outside doors which, in February, is freezing. Rainforest cafe was fine, inflated prices but I expected that. Starbucks coffee in the room was nice and the front desk was quick to send more up when I asked. read more

Great location to the falls. Very clean rooms. My only complaint was that I didn't care for the weird smell on the second floor. Kind of like a chemical smell in the hallways. The staff here were great. I really liked the doorman, Joe Jacob, he was very attentive to all the guests and was exceptionally helpful to a non-guest who needed help to get home. read more

This review is about our attempts to try to book their wine/casino/restaurant package through Groupon. For whatever reason, the Groupon booking would not go through after several attempts, not for me, or others in our party. We spoke to a Sheraton front desk person, Micheal, over the phone about the issue and he really wasn't too interested in helping us. The guy would talk in circles first telling us they could give us the same rate as Groupon, but not provide any of the benefits. Then he gave us a $99 rate and forwarded us over to the National Marriott reservation line who didn't have a clue what we were talking about and said the cheapest room was $171 a night to book without any package--absolutely frustrating! In the end we just gave up and rather not deal with a hotel that has front desk staff that don't know what they are doing and have very little power to make things right for a potential customer. While we were there at the front desk we saw another couple complaining about how they were inconvenienced due to a fire truck call into the hotel. We watch this poor couple talk to the front desk staff, and then the GM, for over 20 minutes before the GM would consider any type of compensation--wow, ever brutal. read more

I take my children there a couple times of out of the year they enjoy the pool. We enjoy the facility. We enjoy the Starbucks and we enjoy the rain tree for our dinner. Every time we stay there as well as their little mini arcade area but this year I had the worst experience of my life from the breakfast attendant up on the sixth floor to the lady at Starbucks, and to the GM that reached out to me in regards to this, he brush it off. Did not apologize or not even say hate you're here a few times a year you are a consistent person that we pretty much make money off of. I apologize for your stay this time a terrible experience that you have had with checking in with your morning breakfast and where is the Starbucks? I will give you at least a half five stay the next time are complementary stay for everything that they have put you through when he asked what I went through he brushed me off and I sent him a couple emails and I still have not heard back from him. Very disappointing for a Sheraton property. The entire surrounding area is economically depressed. The hotel needs a major facelift. Carpets are old, wallpaper is old and sagging. The beds are to soft and you roll to the center. When we booked the Sheraton we can always expect quality, and this specific property does not disappoint! What a tremendous value! Off season deal at a Niagara Falls resort for under $100 a night! They charge a resort fee of $10 /night which includes bottled water, free wifi, and self parking. This Sheraton is less than a mile from the falls and from the US/Canada border. Large updated lobby, the 3 elevators are a bit worn looking but relatively quick. Check in was crowded and I was slightly accused of cutting the line, but there wasn't any organization to where the line starts for what agent. My review of the restaurant TGIF is posted, they have a nice gym although the lock was broken on the door, any nut could have used it. Pool looks great! Beds are clean plush and comfy! TV very good, all are flat screens and all HD channels show as well as a couple of show time channels. My view was the conference center across the street as opposed to the Seneca Casino View on the other side. Bathroom was clean and updated, shower only with excellent water pressure and very hot water. There is a vending machine room on each floor, dirty looking and unkept. Don't be caught in there alone, could be a dangerous spot. They have one of the most advanced arcades located next to the TGIF restaurant, you'll spend a fortune winning little chatchkies of crap but have a great time doing it, my kids had a great time. They have the worst AC unit ever! Noisy as a 747 landing on the roof. We spent two nights here and had a great experience, sad to leave, we'll be back. read more

The hotel was clean, had friendly staff, and enough conveniences inside to ensure you have what you need. The parking was included in the hotel stay. Good coffee offered in the room. I booked through booking.com so our room included breakfast also. Our two queen bed room was clean and had very comfortable beds. We had two dogs with us and it's always nice to not have to stay in a lower end hotel because of them. Thanks Sheraton! Unfortunately, the area around the hotel is awful. It's dirty and there is very little else to do other than the Falls. The Canada side was amazing - so much to do and very clean. America needs to get it together! Nothing the hotel can do about that though so I didn't reflect that in my review. read more

Sheraton! Such a loud name! Outdated. Looks like a motel. The carpet wasn't 100% clean. Chair starts peeling off. The mattress was not satisfying. Tiny bathroom. Overall it was horrible. The worst part was the service. I think I have enough reason to conclude that it's toxic. I was using their HydroSpa facilities, with the curtains closed. A security guard came in directly (yes, directly) asked me to leave and checked with the front desk my name and room number if I was a paid customer. What the heck! I have a gold card with SPG, never encountered this kind of situation! It's so rude. What made me feel even worse was the front desk people(Ryan). I talked about the HydroSpa incident with him, and he said the security guard didn't do anything wrong. He was just trying to protect the building. Oh that's a pretty extreme example of protecting the building, eh? I requested to speak to a supervisor, and he(Ryan) claims that I was right now talking to a supervisor. I was speechless. Will contact with more official help. I have a gold card with them, I don't think it's the way to treat your loyal customer, or any one. Dear Ryan, I don't know if you were the supervisor. This was a really nice hotel. Whatever membership my friend has got us a sweet hookup on the 6th floor. Unlimited visits, which a nice continental breakfast from 7-10 a.m. and happy hour from 5-7 p.m. You can get buy one drink, get one free coupons for the connected restaurants. You get coupons for the casino and a private tunnel which was nice when it was raining. The indoor pool and hot tub was great since it was winter and cold. There was a decent sized gym, a connected Starbucks and other things including a spa. It's only a half a mile was to the falls too which was great! The room was huge and great. The staff was friendly and helpful the entire 4 days. Lots of food and tourism spots within walking distance including a pedestrian bridge to enter Canada less than a mile away. This is definitely a hotel I would stay at again if I come back! read more

Well it started out a little shaky but ended up a real nice stay. We were here for a Christmas party next door. We were greeted by Danielle she was very pleasant. But when we arrived at our room the door was open a little scary but we checked everything and everything seemed good. Room was updated and very spacious. We were located next to the elevators but not as noisy as we expected. Bed was comfortable but pillows were a little soft but we slept well. Bathroom was nice as well and water pressure and warmth was perfect. Checkout was breeze. Nice place and will be back!!# read more

The hotel staff needs a lot of training! I know they have a lot of college students working here, which means a lot of staff turnover but continuous training is a must. This hotel is subpar and it was a hassle trying to get them to locate my spg gold account. I wasn't able to utilize the club lounge until the evening prior to my departure. On the morning of my departure my fruit salad from the SPG club room had hair in it. GROSS!!! read more

The good: -Very nice staff -Modern lobby design -Corridors look nice and modern -Nice pool -Warm showers -Arcade is a nice addition The bad: -Really dated exterior -Very long corridors because all of the elevators are on one side of the building only -Expect to be put in the smelly pet floor (2) (why is there even a pet floor in the first place) and have a nice view of the AC units if you use a Groupon -Rainforest cafe is a huge gimmick and is very loud -Barely any soundproofing so you can hear all the annoying little kids cry clear as day My family stay at the hotel was good. The room (although a bit dated with some stains) was nice but it was not enough to fit 5 people. The showers were nice and warm and didn't have issues. Although this was a pet floor the rooms didn't smell. Only the hallways did. We could hear the sound effects from the rainforest cafe for the whole time but it wasn't that big of a deal. The staff was very nice. Might consider staying there again if we revisit Niagara Falls during the summer. But in a different room of course. read more

Didn't know what to expect but I was very excited about my stay here. The pool area is very cute and inviting and they even have a time span that is adults only which I appreciated a lot. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Both restaurants inside the hotel had nice staff and a lot of options to choose from. The spa was exactly what I needed, and who doesn't love Starbucks? It also has a convenient tunnel connected to the hotel that connects you to the casino across the street which was perfect because it was cold when we visited. The hotel is also in walking distance of the falls and there's a lot of cool artwork in walking distance to view too! Fun arcade to play in as well if you decide to bring your kids, but I'm a big kid at heart so I enjoyed it....I will be coming back! read more

My parents stayed here last week while on vacation and the first night got bit up. My moms arms and legs were covered in scabs by the end of their trip. Turns out she got scabies from the room. The hotel refuses to give them their money back for the room, so we contacted their headquarters, who were just as awful. Do not stay at this disgusting place! read more

I would have given more stars but on thursday night we recieved a note under the door that water would be shut off from 11:30 a.m to 2:30 p.m on wednesday oct. 20th my wedding day? who does this during peak hours? It was a great inconvienance to me and i'm sure other guests as well. If that wasn't rude enough on friday morning and luggage cart tipped off the curb and gashed my elbow. when we reported it it was aknowledged and nothing else. Ive tried emailing corporate, management nothing, no response just sorry for the inconvienance !!!??? I had to have three stitches from a luggage cart with a sharp hook on top. this incident has been totally ignored. we stayed for 5 nights and spent good money to stay there . If you look on their website there is no customer way to email or reach out to corporate . I had to go to the E.R. and get 3 stitches on my elbow ! If you stay here be safe because there is obviosly no accountability her or any accomadating for your incovienance other than a fake e-mail that you cant respond to. This place is in desperate need of consumer affair etiquette. read more
