The downtown location is the best part about the hotel. It's close to many restaurants, bars, and events. There was a parking garage below the hotel so you just take the elevator to the lobby and use your room card to get in and out. The front desk was welcoming and helpful. There is a bar in the front lobby area, which includes a small Starbucks. The bar can get loud though. The location can also be a negative as it gets very loud with the cars driving by or events happening in the area by the shopping center across the street. The bathroom shower could use a little updating and some cosmetic maintenance. read more

I have to follow-up my review about parking problems, with a great review of the pool. Been using resort pass to get a little pool time. I love everything about the pool and pool bar. The music is great, great food and Heather is the best! She's friendly and makes the rounds to make sure guests have drinks and food. I will definitely be back. I've stayed here about twice now. Best ambience in the city. Perfect place to work, the food's great, but a little pricey. Not good if you're a brokie. But fantastic if you've got cash, and most people staying here do. Service is always fantastic, the workers are always pleasant and you can tell the bartender and coffee baristas love their jobs, and they're always talkative with anyone who wants to chat. I'd highly recommend staying here, only thing is it's in Phoenix, so I guess it's pretty good for being here. read more

Very upset my son reserved through Expedia and got the insurance in case of anything would come up. Do he booked wrong dates and called Expedia and they blame hotel for not returning or giving credit for a future date. Started off having issues with elevator. Was supposed to go to the 17th floor, stopped on 4th and didn't open. Would not go up or down. Finally opened and out of 4 elevators was the only one working. Couldn't find stairs (not marked). Eventually another elevator opened and we all got to our floors (no signage about using card key for elevator. We just guessed). Got to room. Neither the tv or telephone worked. Got both fixed. Gave us food credit. Went to get food. They have fancy or bar food. Nothing in between. Left to go to our show and they were charging for parking. Was supposed to be free. Hit button for assistance. No one answered. We paid so not to miss show. Tried to get parking fixed. Clerks were nice but clueless. Valet said they would fix it but never did. Tried to contact guest services takes forever for them to answer the phone. Left 3 phone messages and emailed. No response. Place was pretty and it was as clean. But a pain in the rear. Would not stay there again. read more

We have stayed here several times for different locations but this last time we went it was for a office Christmas party for work. And it was great the decorations were great and of course the service the valet for parking was amazing they took care of us every time. I was not completely surprised to see that this hotel only averages 3 stars. I was hinged between 3 and 5 stars for the following reasons. Initially, I was pleasantly surprised at the level of service at checkin, as their hospitality seemed quite excellent. The agent was eager to assure our every need and request was met - including a late check out we had requested. 5 STARS They have a magnificent 99 foot lap pool on the fourth floor, which I had all to my self three days in a row in the mornings. Perfect temperature and extremely relaxing. They have a wonderful pool bar adjacent (just outside the pool gate) with a friendly attentive bartender who also doubles as a Pool Attendant assuring there are plenty of towels, lounge chairs, menus and tables are clean and at the ready for guests throughout the day. So far, I loved this place... 5 STARS The rooms are quite nice, well equipped, however, lacking some full service hotel amenities, specifically a microwave. Huge flat screen TV is very nice, bathroom is on the smaller side, but does it's job. Rooms have nice views of downtown Phoenix. 4 STARS There are no restaurants, snack bars or shops open after 9:30 PM. There are also no snack vending machines anywhere on the property, so finding anything to eating or snack on after 9:30 PM is an impossibility unless you leave the property or were fortunate enough to have planned for that ahead. Sheratons are typically Full Service Hotels, which should include food, or snacks at minimum, round the clock, if not room service. There is also no guest laundry facility available, however, they do offer a laundry service at a cost if you are to be staying long enough. 3 STARS They have a huge and beautifully equipped fitness center with everything you could ask for, with a terrific filtered cold water dispenser. I filled my empty water bottles repeatedly during my stay to avoid buying more plastic. A very nice feature if you know where to look. 5 STARS I would happily stay here on future dates just for the pool, and with the knowledge to bring extra food for late night munchies. Absolutely fabulous location!!! Beautiful hotel lobby and at Christmas it was stunning. We had excellent food and outstanding service. Starbucks coffee is available all day! The hotel has a wonderful gift shop with a variety of exceptional items! I actually did some Christmas shopping there! The hotel has an area where you can purchase tasty sandwiches, salads, etc. to munch on in your room along with an area with Arizona speciality food items-salsa, chips. We stayed on the 31st floor in a fantastic suite with a spectacular city view!! The rooms ate gorgeous and decorated beautifully! We have a wedding to attend this month and we plan to stay at the Sheraton! 5 stars for sure!!! read more

This hotel is very clean, modern, and located in a convenient location smack dab in the heart of downtown. It's a pretty standard upper-scale Marriott chain place. The reason I'm giving a low score is because starting just after 7:30am, a loud jackhammer echoed throughout my room. I was REALLY hoping to sleep in, which really isn't a big request while traveling. I called the front desk to ask if there was ANYTHING they could do like stop the construction or move me to a new room on the other side of the hotel. I was told that "there was nothing that they could do because they were under construction". Perhaps there could be a warning about this when booking? Or maybe at check-in? I advise strongly considering this inconvenience when booking. Hopefully this issue is resolved soon! read more

The manager is rude and inappropriate. Accused me of threatening him because my family stay somewhere else instead of here. Stayed here again today for work. Wanted to discuss my previous and current stay with the manager. I'm Titanium and my family considered staying here for a wedding. This hotel is very close to the convention center in the heart of downtown Phoenix. An electronic check in was performed to get keyless access to my room. Luckily I stopped by the front desk because it didn't work very well and I requested a physical card for the room. The good news is the fitness center is great, 24 hour access and never crowded. The technogym machines look relatively new and there are apparatus for body weight work, kettlebells, and a group stretch, fitness workout room for video training. The lobby bar was the only place to get a meal since many hotels have shut down additional restaurants and club lounges. The room was clean, quiet, and modern. A large 70 plus flat-screen was a nice plus. Housekeeping is by reservation if needed. I liked the open gift shop in the lobby and don't see this feature at major hotels anymore. I would consider staying here again if they open the main restaurant and club lounge in the near future. read more

The rooms are all newly completely renovated and very modern looking. The workout facilities need a serious modernization of equipment (the actual room is fine, but they need better water dispensers, and a revamp of the cardio equipment). When I stayed here the front desk was in a makeshift conference room as they were still renovating. The location to the convention center was very convenient, and I had a good experience at the pool bar - good food, nice service, and couldn't beat the sunshine!! read more

It wasn't the price that made me angry, it was the children running up and down the halls. Banging on my door at 3am. Then the screaming in the rooms next to me. What made it worse, the Management said "Kids will be kids" and did nothing to alleviate the issue. I've never stayed at a worse hotel. I had such high hopes as I was in town on business. I stayed here for three nights and if I ever come back to Phoenix I will stay here again. Every single staff member was helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is in a great location, really clean, comfy beds, and good amenities. If you drive, the parking is secure and plentiful with lots of options close to the elevators. We even got to check in and use the pool hours before our reservation. And I don't know about the other rooms but ours had an amazing unobstructed view of Phoenix. The pool staff was super fast and friendly and even the other guests were delightful. Definitely will be back read more

The employees make you feel like you are more of an annoyance than a guest . I won't recommend or stay here. The first impression should never be this . Very disappointed in the Sheraton. This hotel doesn't offer room service and is still operating on a Pandemic menu within the only restaurant on the premises. For 3 nights room total $1600....I expect better. I never thought I would ever get so upset with an establishment that I would write a review. For this amount they should do better. Not only that, when we did eat at the restaurant the service was so terrible. I was so upset that we got our dinner free. Trust me when I say the money was not an issue... it was the service! Staff were nice and there was lobby security. I am a Platinum Marriott member, and this has to be one of the worst experiences I have ever endured at a Marriott property. First, the entire property has not been renovated in probably over 30 years. Next, they only clean your room when you request a cleaning 24 hours in advance. Third, their "Club Lounge" provides frozen mini burritos or dumplings as later afternoon apps, and no bowls available for morning oatmeal. And finally, no water cups or restroom available within the workout area. And finally, after we made a 24 hour reservation to clean our room, supposedly the housekeeping department never received the request from the front desk. This property should be burned down and rebuilt (probably in another area altogether) as there are homeless people smoking crack pipes right across the street. The one and only redeeming quality of this location is the very sweet and capable bartender named Tara:) read more
